Bree: why won't he just stop?...

Chase: i don't know...

Bree: i don't want to see you two fighting over me all the time. Shouldn't he have self respect?

Chase: we can just avoid him, i'll just get you your food at lunch-

Bree: i know but we can't do this everyday

Chase: i mean we could just quit and stay home

Bree: no, I couldn't do that to you. you love this job and we need to be making money. we can't just use Davenport's money forever

Chase: i don't know what you want me to do...

Bree: I'm not telling you to do anything I just can't do this. i don't want to see you two fighting

Chase: he'll have to get over you and give up, I will not let him win

Bree: come on, let's just get back to work

Chase: okay but just wait a second

Bree: what?

Chase: your right. so how about we just leave the mall for lunch everyday and then we won't have to deal with him

Bree: ok, that's fine. My breaks over

Chase: everything will work out in the end. I promise.

Bree: Chase, don't promise something you have no control over...I have to get back to work...

Chase didn't know why she was being like this. I mean, he knew..but he also didn't know. Bree would always believe Chase whenever he promised something to her, especially when it came to her happiness. All because he always was able and knew how to make her happy, in the end.

They both went back to work for the rest of the day with Zach wondering around the mall waiting for his opportunity.

Chase was thinking that Zach would try something at the end of the day so he had already asked his boss if they could both leave a bit early. It had been a slow day anyway and the mall was closing within the next hour and Tech Town doesn't normally get that many customers last minute.

Chase: Bree are you ready to go?

Bree: I thought we had to work for another half hour?

Chase: i asked if we could leave a bit early and he said yes

Bree: ok just give me a minute

Bree went to the bathroom in the back of the store and looked at herself in the mirror, thinking and asking herself why this happened to her of all people. She checked to see if there were any signs that she would cry or dried tears in that case and walked back out to Chase so they could leave.

Chase: lets go this way, its actually a short cut to the car.

Bree: okay

It was a short cut, well sort of. It's also in the area that Zach is banned so Chase thought it worked out perfectly without having to bring up "zach".

Zach had came back around where Tech Town was in sight and he was aloud to be in to see that the store was closed with all the lights off. Signaling that he "lost 'his' chance"

Zach: dammit!

They both got home and Bree went to shower even though it was sort of late. considering that they had to work til close to closing and she doesn't normally take showers at night, unless she just wanted to think. Having warm water flowing down you just being alone, able to think. Losing track of time Bree was in there to what felt to be an hour, she turned off the water, put on her pjs and went to bed seeing that Chase was already asleep. She got into bed and curled up next to Chase's warm body and slowly drifted to sleep.

Bree knew that she needed to let herself be happy. It was just hard to not think about everything happening. She loves Chase but being with him slightly reminds her of what could have been; her baby. But she thought that maybe it happened for a reason. Even though she was ready and prepared for it, she knew she was too young. She knew that it would be a huge responsibility that she would be taking care of for the rest of her life. She couldn't let this mess with her head more than it already has, it's over, it's happened.

Bree woke up early in the morning in a way better mood and was about to get ready for work when she realized that neither she or Chase had work that day. She could have put two and two together because Chase was still sleeping..anyway, Bree was far too awake at this point to be able to fall back asleep so she made her half of the bed. It was like she wasn't even there, she walked into her small kitchen to make herself some food and Chase for when he woke up. She went over to their small living room and sat on the couch to look through their recordings because nothing good is ever on tv that early in the morning. All there ever is on that early is for little kids.

Flipping through the recordings she stopped at Wizards of Waverly Place and pressed play on a random episode.

Chase thought it was weird. Weird that in his sleep he could swear he could feel Bree next to him but the other half of the bed looked like it wasn't even touched. Which made him think that Bree never went to bed. He walked out of the room and saw Bree watching tv on the couch while eating food. Before Bree saw him he turned his head into the kitchen and saw that she made him food also.

Chase: did you come to bed?

Bree: yeah, you must have been out because I was snuggled up next to you. Also thanks for still being so warm

Bree laughed while turning back to the tv. Chase was shocked to see her suddenly in a way better mood since the incident. He walked into the kitchen to grab his food and walk back to the living room to sit next to Bree on the couch. They both loved the show, Alex was Bree's favorite character and Chase's favorite was Justin.

Bree finished eating and brought her dished into the kitchen and set them down in the sink and walked back into the living room and sat back down next to Chase. (they were watching the episode when Mason gave Alex that heart necklace that glows)

Bree: Chase

Chase: yeah

Bree paused the tv at the scene when it was glowing and looked at Chase

Chase: what

Bree: is this where you got the idea about the necklace that you gave me?

Chase just smirked and nodded.

Bree: but this is tv. how did-?

Chase: it's simple when you have a inventor for a dad. I thought it would be romantic to use an idea from our favorite tv show

Bree: aww Chase

Chase didn't want to question Bree on her new mood because he didn't know exactly if it would change. But he also felt that he needed to ask her. So he did what he thought he should do.

Chase: Bree?

Bree: what?

Chase: are you ok? because your mood changed really fast from yesterday to today

Bree: yes Chase I am. I can't be sad forever. The world was showing me that things happen for a reason and fighting that would be useless. How were you doing with all of this?

Chase: um

Chase was being strong for Bree, he knew that he couldn't be sad forever too but he couldn't help it. He was shoving all his feelings away just to try to get Bree's mood better and know that it has? Then what? What was he supposed to do with all those feelings still stuck inside him? Bree let them out and now was better, but Chase? He still has them all inside of him.

Bree: Chase!

Chase: huh what?

Bree: the real question is, are you ok?

Bree saw the look in his eyes that showed that he wasn't ok, he didn't need to say anything for her to understand. She pulled his close and snuggled him unlike all the other times when he snuggled her.

Bree: you don't have to be strong for me.

Things have turned, now Chase is crying into Bree instead of Bree crying into him.

Bree: i know i know

Seeing him cry made her want to cry but she couldn't. because her crying would make him cry even more. The only thing she could do is wait it out.
