Avery's eyes widened as she stood in an old freight like elevator in the building where Derek had gotten a loft.
She crossed her fingers down by her sides and hoped the elevator was well enough working condition that it wouldn't break or she'd get stuck because there was no emergency button in sight.
When it came to a stop she had to almost pry the metal gating over the front open.
Once the was finally on the hallway, she looked around. From the outside the building didn't look occupied, and the inside wasn't much better.
She was pretty sure Derek was the only one living on his floor in the building, if not the only one in the building.
Once she reached his loft, she walked inside and stopped as her eyes widened.
There was a destroyed brick wall to one side of the room, and bed on the other. A metal table with a few chairs, and a blue couch.
Her eyes stopped on a spiral staircase to one of side of the room and a large window on the far wall.
Most people would have been intimidated by the room, it looked like something straight out of a horror movie. But Avery loved everything about the loft.
"What are you doing here?" Derek asked, surprised to see her there.
She spun around, she didn't know he'd been in there the entire time.
"You finally got your own place… like an actual livable space." She observed, her eyes stopping on the window again.
"How did you even know where I was?" He questioned.
"I might have sent Isaac a text asking him where you were living now..." She admitted.
Derek watched her closely as she spoke.
"Why?" He asked.
He hadn't seen her since the day Avery had showed up with Teagan and Stiles to try to save Jackson. They hadn't even really spoken that day.
"This loft, it kind of looks like a scene out of a horror movie or something." She said, avoiding his question.
As she walked over to the large window and looked out, he said "I know it's not much, but like you said it's a livable place."
She turned around with raised eyebrows.
"Not much? Are you kidding me? Derek… this place is perfect! It's old and creepy and the buildings practically deserted." She said, with a small smile.
"And that makes it perfect?" He asked, walking over to her.
"I like dark and creepy things, you know that." She reminded him.
The room was silent as he waited for her to speak, he knew she hadn't just came there to see his new place.
"Are you okay?" He finally asked her, he could tell something was bothering her.
"I'm leaving town for the summer, taking a vacation." She replied after another pause.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
He was a little relieved to hear she was leaving town for a while.
With Erica and Boyd still missing, he knew the alpha the pack was in town and he didn't want her in any danger.
"I'm taking a mini eat, pray, love vacation." She said, with a small smile.
"A what?" He asked confused.
"You know… the book and movie, Eat, Pray, Love." She explained.
He shook his head no as he said, "Never heard of it."
"Yes, you have." She argued.
"No, I haven't." He asserted.
Sighing she rubbed her forehead and said, "I have an autographed copy of the book on display in my room..."
He said something, but she didn't hear him as she thought about how Stiles immediately had known what she was talking about. He'd not only noticed the book, but looked into it just because she liked it.
"Avery?" He questioned, when she didn't respond to him.
"I… I should probably go. I just wanted to let you know I was okay and leaving town, because I'm not planning on turning my phone on and I'm leaving my computer at home. I just need sometime to unplug and figure some things out." She said as she started past him towards the door.
"Figure what kind of things out?" He asked, knowing she wasn't telling him the entire story.
Stopping, but not turning around to face him she said, "Stiles broke up with me."
Even though she couldn't see him, she could imagine the shocked look on his face when he said, "Wait… he broke up with you? Not the other way around?"
Spinning around as tears burnt her eyes she said, "Yes, he broke up with me… because of you!"
Derek wasn't sure what to say. He wasn't happy about how upset she seemed about Stiles breaking up with her. But he wasn't sure what she meant about it being his fault.
He'd known for a while that she really liked him, and it was obvious Stiles had loved her for a long time. Not that he didn't want too, there were plenty of times that Derek had wanted to intimidate him away from Avery. But he never did.
"I didn't say anything to him." He finally said.
She let out a small sigh and shook her head back and forth, "He broke up with me because of… because of the way I look at you. Apparently, he took it upon himself to give me some space so I can figure things out."
"Well, now that Stiles is out of the picture… you can turn her, make her part of your pack." Peter said as he entered the room from the spiral staircase.
Derek let out a heavy, irritated sigh as he looked over his shoulder to his uncle and growled, "No."
Avery looked at Peter in disbelief.
"It would make him stronger if you joined the pack." Peter said, speaking to Avery. He smiled, but it gave her the chills the way his eyes roamed over her.
Derek turned and said, "I said no. I am no turning…no one is going to turn her."
"I… should probably go." She said as she as she turned and left the room before anyone could stop her.
Rushing towards the elevator she sighed, all she'd wanted was for someone to fight for her. Care enough about her to ask her to stay. But Stiles' had broken up with her and it seemed like Derek was happy she was leaving town for the summer.
As she left the building, she paused when she saw Derek waiting by her car.
"What are you doing?" she asked him, her dark blue high-heels clicking on the pavement as she walked towards him.
"How long are you going to be gone?" He questioned.
"Until the end of summer… maybe a little longer." She said, thinking at this rate, she didn't even want to come back to town.
With Teagan going with her on vacation, besides her kitten she didn't even feel a reason to come back.
"Why is Peter here?" She demanded to know. After everything he'd done, helping them save Jackson didn't make amends for all the bad he'd done.
"He was helping me with a few things." Derek answered vaguely.
She looked down to the ground for a few seconds before she said, "I don't trust him."
"I don't either." He answered.
"So why is he here?" She pushed.
"I told you, he was helping me with something." Derek replied, but still didn't go into detail. He knew if he told her about the alpha pack she wouldn't leave town.
Nodding she said, "Alright, and your withholding information is my cue to leave."
"Why do you always think I'm not telling you the entire story?" He wondered out loud. A little frustrated that she was able to see right through him.
She scoffed, "Because I don't need werewolf senses to tell when you're lying to me."
He watched as she opened the door to her car, knowing she was upset with him. But at the moment he'd take her being angry with him, if it meant she'd be out of harms way for the time being.

A few days later, Avery stood in her room with her luggage set open on her bed. She was pulling clothes from shopping bags and figuring out what clothes she should take on vacation.
She looked down and giggled as she saw her kitten had crawled into the smallest open suitcase.
"Sorry Annabel, you can't come on vacation with me." Avery said with a laugh.
Annabel's relaxed posture changed as she scrambled to her feet and arched her back, with her tail fluffed up.
Turning her head Avery saw Isaac walking in her room.
"Hey…" She said confused.
"Hey Avery." He greeted with a friendly smile.
She watched as Isaac walked over and looked at the kitten, slowly reaching a hand out as he petted her head.
She relaxed and happily leaned into his touch.
"Wow, she actually likes you." Avery said, astonished.
"What do you mean?" Isaac asked, looking over at her.
"The last time Derek was here, she tore my arms up trying to get away and hide from him. I just assumed it would be like that for all werewolves." She admitted, as she pulled the tags off of a new black and pink bikini set and tucked it away in a suitcase.
"Where are you going?" He asked, looking at all her suitcases.
"Italy, India and Indonesia." She said, not even bothering to explain the eat, pray, love aspect of it.
"Whoa." He breathed out. He'd expected her to say she was leaving for Florida or something.
"Why are you here?" She asked him, curious for the answer.
"I just wanted to make sure things are okay with us. We're friends." He said.
She smiled, thinking about how far he'd came since she first sat with him at lunch. He'd been so nervous and shy he couldn't even eat his food, and now he was coming to her house.
"The past few months have just been… so messed up. But, yeah to answer your question… we're still friends, Isaac." She assured him with a friendly smile.
He smiled back and said, "I also wanted to make sure you're doing okay. I heard about you and Stiles."
She stopped folding a shirt and looked at him shocked, "How did you find out?"
"I was at the loft when you went to see Derek. I could feel how upset you were." He admitted.
"Yeah, but that was days ago." She said, nonchalantly as she zipped up one of her bags.
"You're still upset. I've gotten to know you better than that." He pointed out.
"I'll be okay. I just need this summer away to get my head on straight." She said with a sigh.
"I really hope you feel better after vacation." He said sincerely.
After a few moments of silence Avery said, "Aren't you going to go ahead and ask me about Teagan?
"Uh… what?" He asked, startled.
"I know you want to." Avery taunted as she crossed the room and pulled her favorite jeans from her closet.
"How is she?" Isaac asked.
"She's been through a lot." She explained, watching his reaction closely.
He didn't respond.
"I know something is bothering you, so spill." Avery said as she took a break from packing to focus her attention on Isaac.
"It's just… I screwed up, really bad. I should have never pushed her away like I did." He replied, his voice quiet.
"You're right, but in your own way you were trying to save her, Isaac. Teagan is my best friend, and I know her better than anyone. I can tell when she genuinely cares about someone. "She assured him.
"You were there, you heard what she said to Jackson." Isaac reminded her. Thinking how different being in love and caring about someone was.
"You decided she was worth staying in Beacon Hills for, and now you're not even going to have the balls to go see her?" Avery said with an arched eyebrow.
After a few moments he said, "I just feel like maybe it's too late. I screwed up and I know I hurt her."
"She's been trying to reach out to you since school ended." Avery pointed out.
"I've been really busy." He quickly defended.
"Too busy for my best friend?" Avery asked, letting him know she didn't buy his excuse.
He shook his head back and forth, thinking that nothing was more important to him than Teagan was.
They talked for a little longer before Isaac said he needed to get back to Derek's.
Walking him to the front door she said, "Please stop avoiding, Teagan."
He nodded. He didn't want to say it out loud to anyone; but he was afraid to talk to Teagan.
Avoiding her, kept the possibility open that things might be okay with them.
But he wasn't sure he could handle it, if he got confirmation from Teagan that she was picking Jackson over him.
"Be safe this summer." Isaac said as he gave Avery a hug.
"I will." She assured him with a smile as she hugged him back.

Avery sat at her dining room table across from Lydia as the girls finished up their lunch.
She had been filling Lydia in on everything they knew about the werewolves and what had been going on.
"But you don't know why Peter's bite didn't affect me?" Lydia asked as she took a drink from her glass.
Avery shrugged, "I don't know. Just like I'm not sure how he managed to get in your head and make you help bring him back."
Lydia shuddered at remembering the dreams she'd had.
"I don't understand why I'd be immune." Lydia breathed out as she looked down to her almost empty plate.
Avery shrugged, "I guess just be thankful you are immune."
"I still can't believe all of this was going on and I didn't know it. You and Teagan both knew!" She exclaimed as it all sunk in further.
For the past year, Lydia had known something was different in their town but she hadn't known exactly what it was.
"I thought that maybe you'd be better off not knowing, be safer somehow." Avery reasoned.
"There's still just so much that doesn't make sense." She said as she rubbed her forehead.
Avery nodded in agreement.
"And then to top it all off, you're leaving me this summer." She went on to complain.
With a smile Avery said, "You could always take a vacation too."
"Hmm, you're right. After the year I've had… I deserve one." She said with a smile.
"Damn right, we all do." Avery said as she stood and gathered their trash and carried it into the kitchen.
After she got back to the dining room, Lydia had stood up and pulled her purse on over her shoulder.
"I'm glad we got to spend some time together before I left." Avery said as she paused beside her friend.
"I am too. I don't think I realized how much I missed this." Lydia said with a genuine smile as she stepped forward and hugged her.
As the girls let go of each other, Avery's dad walked through the dining room.
"Oh, hi Lydia, I didn't know you were still here." Richard said with a smile.
"Just heading out." Lydia said with a flirty smile as she flipped her hair over her shoulder.
Avery's dad laughed and shook his head as he headed into the other room.
"Ew. I sure didn't miss you flirting with my dad though." Avery said with a crinkled nose.
Lydia playfully rolled her eyes as she turned and left the dining room.
After another round of hugs Lydia told Avery to be safe on her trip, and left.
~(Later that night)~
Making her way through her house, Avery stopped when she heard the door bell rang.
Just as she made her way into the entry way of the house, her dad opened the door.
"Uh, hi Mr. Dukate… Avery asked me to come over." Isaac explained his reason for being there.
"You didn't really have to ring the bell, all of her other friends just come inside." Richard said.
"Oh." Isaac replied, thinking it would feel weird to just open the door and walk into Avery's house.
"Yes, but he has manners." Avery told her dad as she leaned down and clipped a leash on Annabel Lee's collar.
"It's Isaac, right?" Richard asked as he extended a hand to the teenage boy.
"Yeah." Isaac said nodding as he shook his hand.
"I thought so. Teagan's new boyfriend." Her dad continued.
Avery's eyes widened as she stared at her dad.
"Oh, umm… well, not really." Isaac stammered through his sentence, feeling his cheeks darken a little.
"Dad, are you really trying to keep up with my best friend's love life? You've never even tried to keep up with mine." Avery said as she picked her kitten up.
"Well, Teagan's was always easier to keep track of." Richard said.
Avery's jaw dropped.
Isaac's mouth also hung open with surprise as he looked between them.
"That didn't come out right, Avery." Richard quickly said.
Avery smiled and then laughed as she said, "It's true though."
Isaac looked back to Avery's dad as he laughed and nodded in agreement before he left them alone.
"Come on, we're taking Annabel for a walk so we can talk." Avery said as she walked past Isaac.
"You walk your cat on a leash, like a dog?" Isaac asked as he pulled the door shut behind him and followed her down the walkway.
"Mhmm." Avery hummed as she glanced up to the streetlight they walked under on the side walk.
"Sorry about my dad." She apologized.
"You guys kind of have a weird relationship." Isaac observed.
He didn't know a lot about Avery's home life, but from listening to Teagan and her talk he'd gathered that Avery's dad wasn't around much.
"It's a lot better than it used to be." Avery said.
Isaac nodded but didn't say anything.
After a little while he said, "So you called me to come over?"
"Right! I talked to Teagan earlier today and she said that you still haven't called her." Avery said.
"I've been busy." He said, knowing it was no use. Avery wasn't going to buy his excuses.
"I knew you weren't going to call her. Which is why I have a plan." She said, smiling at him.
"I'm not so sure I like the sound of that." He admitted.
"We've been friends for how long? You should know to trust me by now." Avery said as she shot him a look.
He looked at her waiting for her to go on with her plan.
"Tomorrow Teagan and I are supposed to be leaving for vacation. I'm going to call and have her meet me somewhere only I'm not going to show up. You are." Avery said as she excitedly clapped her hands together.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Isaac asked, immediately feeling sick at the thought. What if Teagan told him that she was picking Jackson over him?
It's a perfect idea, Isaac." Avery said as she spun on her heels and faced him where he'd stopped a few steps behind her.
"But…" Isaac started to argue.
"It's simple. Either you show up tomorrow and finally get the balls to talk to Teagan, or I'm taking her with me on a summer vacation with me." She explained.
"Maybe it would be better for her to go on vacation." He reasoned. Derek had told him about the alpha pack and he didn't want Teagan getting involved in any of it.
"So you want a bunch of hot Italian guys flirting with her? You want her on the beach in a bikini with all these other guys checking her out?" Avery questioned.
She watched as his breathing changed and his hands balled in fists at his sides.
"Exactly." She said with a smug smile, knowing Isaac didn't have a choice after that.
He opened his mouth to say something, but before he could Avery's kitten cowered behind her ankles and growled.
"I swear I never knew cats growled until she started." Avery admitted as she leaned down and picked up her scared kitten.
Isaac didn't hear Avery as he stared off in the direction that her kitten had growled in. He could sense someone watching them, but he didn't know who or what it was.
Oblivious to what was going on Avery turned and started to walk down the sidewalk as she said, "Now, where should you guys meet up?"
Silently Isaac reached out, curling an arm around her stomach and bringing her to an abrupt stop.
"What?" She asked, looking at him.
"I think you should head home." He said, trying to use all of his senses to see what was stalking them.
"What's wrong?" she asked as she felt the hair stood up on the back on her neck.
"I… I'm not sure." He said as he grabbed her arm and started to pull back down the sidewalk in the direction of her house.
"Don't lie to me." She said angrily as she planted her feet against the sidewalk and stopped walking.
"I'm not lying. I'm still learning how to use my senses but I think someone was watching us." He said quietly.
Swallowing hard Avery looked over her shoulder, but didn't see anyone.
"Come on." He said as he took a hold of her arm again pulling her towards her house.
He kept checking over his shoulder as he walked Avery up to the door of her house.
"I'll text you the time and place to meet Teagan tomorrow morning, okay?" Avery asked as she pushed open her front door.
"Okay." Isaac agreed.
"Is everything okay?" Avery questioned, she could feel her kitten shaking in her arms.
"Yeah, just be careful." Isaac said as he turned and looked around the streetlight illuminated street.
"You too." Avery said.
"I'm a werewolf." He reminded her with a cocky smile.
"Doesn't mean you're invincible. And take care of Teagan this summer." Avery said.
Nodding Isaac said, "I will."
Avery closed the door and took the leash off Annabel Lee.
Immediately the kitten scurried into the front family room and under the couch.
Avery went up to her bedroom telling herself to calm down. She'd been trying to not think about the attack by Kate Argent, but every time something went bump in the night all she could think about was what she'd been through.
~(The next day)~
As Avery picked her purse up from her desk something caught her eye from the window.
She paused and looked around, but couldn't see anything.
Taking a deep breath she reminded herself that soon she'd be on a plane in route to Italy to start the vacation of her dreams.
Smiling at the thought, she scanned the yard again and went downstairs said bye to Annabel and headed outside.
"Dad?" Avery asked as she watched her father move the last of her luggage from his car to hers.
"Sorry Avery, I really wanted to drive you to the airport and see you off. But I just got a call, there's some emergency at the bank. I have to go." He apologized.
"It's okay." Avery said offering him a smile.
He gave her a hug and told her be careful before he left.
Getting in her car she drove to the airport and parked her car, it was only moments later that Teagan called her.
"Hey T." Avery answered her phone cheerfully.
"Did you tell me the wrong place?" Teagan asked as she leaned against her car in the library parking lot and looked around for any sign of Avery's or her dad's cars.
"No, I said the library." Avery said as she put the phone on speaker and laid it on her dashboard and dug through her purse for her lipstick.
"Okay, we'll I've been here for like ten minutes. Are we going to miss our flight?" She asked, worried as she scanned the almost empty library parking lot again.
"There's been a small change of plans." Avery said with a smile on her face as she applied a light coat of shimmery red lip-gloss and fixed her eyeliner in the mirror.
"You wait until the day we're leaving to change things?" Teagan asked, feeling a little frustrated as she rubbed her fore head.
Before Avery could respond Teagan continued, "Where are you?"
"At the airport." Avery admitted so absorbed in the conversation that she didn't notice the car pull into the parking spot beside her.
"What? I'm on the other side of town!" Teagan yelled as she turned and started to unlock her car door.
"I know what you want Teagan, and it's not a summer away with me. You've been through so much this year and I want you to be happy." Avery said as she looked at her phone and saw her dad was calling her.
"But…" Teagan's voice trailed off as she saw Isaac heading towards her.
Avery's smile widened, "Is he there?"
"What did you do?" Teagan asked her voice quiet into the phone as she smiled to herself at seeing Isaac; she'd missed him so much.
"Have a great summer, T! I want all the messy details when I get back." Avery said as she ended the call and opened her door.
Seeing she had a voicemail from her dad she listened to it, "Avery, it's me. Turns out it was a false alarm. I'm not sure what the hell happened, but no one at the bank is even sure who called me. Just wanted to apologize again for not being able to drive you. I hope you have a good time this summer, and be careful. It's dangerous to be traveling to other countries by yourself. I love you."
She smiled and quickly sent him a text, 'It's okay dad. I made it to the airport safe, remember I'm keeping my phone off this summer. Love you too.'
~()~
"Where's your dad?" Isaac asked, as he followed Teagan inside her house.
"Work." Teagan answered, as she dropped down to her knees to pet Aspen, who ran over toward her as soon as she stepped inside.
After petting on her dog for a few moments, she stood up and looked at Isaac as she said, "I need to let him out then we'll talk, ok?"
"Ok, yeah, that's f-fine. Take your time." Isaac said nervously. He knew 'we need to talk' was never a good sign and was actually ok with putting it off for as long as possible.
He didn't think he could handle hearing that she had decided she wanted to be with Jackson instead of him. He would respect her choice of course, but he wouldn't like it.
Teagan shot him a small smile then called to Aspen to follow her as she walked toward the sliding glass door and let him out in the back yard.
She walked back over toward Isaac and nodded her head toward the stairs, telling him to follow her as she went up the stairs and made her way toward her bedroom. She opened the door and walked in with Isaac walking in behind her.
Once inside her room the two looked at each other silently, neither one knowing where to start. She opened her mouth a few times then closed it before opening it again and said, "Actually do you mind if I go change right quick? It's been a long day and I just really want to get out of these clothes."
Isaac smirked at her comment and raised his eyebrows at the thought of her taking her clothes off. She saw the look on his face and blushed before quickly added,"I meant change my clothes. Slip on something a little more ..."
"Sexy?" Isaac guessed.
Teagan chuckled then said, "I was actually going to say comfortable. I'm going to change into something comfortable."
"Well either way you'll still look sexy. You also do." Isaac said to her with a small smile on his face. If he was going to lose her, he at least wanted her to know what he honestly thought about her.
Teagan smiled back then lowered her head as she began to blush again. She nervously cleared her throat then said, "Well I'll be right back."
Isaac nodded his head and watched as she walked to her dresser and grab a pair of pajamas then walk into her bathroom. Once she was gone, Isaac looked down at his shoes as he waited for her to come back.
He felt his heart race and his stomach in knots as he dreaded the conversation they were about to have. After hearing her confess her love for Jackson and knowing the two had been hanging out a lot lately he could only assume they had decided to get back together.
He looked up and glanced around her room, he knew it was probably rude to snoop but he couldn't stop himself.
He didn't know what he thought he would find, maybe some proof that she was back with Jackson or hopefully something that meant he still had a shot with her.
He walked over toward her bulletin board and saw a picture of her and Jackson happily hugging each other. He tried not to let the picture bother him though, just because there was a picture of them together didn't mean they were actually together plus he could tell it was an older picture.
Besides she had other pictures on the board too. Ones of her parents, ones of Avery, a couple of Aspen and even old ones of Lydia. The only recent picture posted on there was one of her, Avery, Lydia and Allison. Sadly, one thing he did notice though, there were no pictures of him with her on the board.
He back away from the bulletin board then turned around to see her vanity table. He glanced over at the mirror and felt a smile appear on his face when he saw a picture of him and her hanging on the mirror.
He took a step closer and leaned down to look at the picture, remembering the day they took the picture and how happy they were then. He just hoped one day they could get back to that, he hoped he had not completely lost her.
He quickly stood up when he saw her appear back into the room through the mirror and turned around to face her with his mouth slightly open. Even in a pair of pajamas, her hair pulled back and no make-up on she still took his breath away.
She bit her lip and smiled when she saw the look on his face. With him avoiding her lately she wasn't completely sure if he still cared about her or not, but with one look she knew. She knew he still loved her.
"So uh, what did you wanna talk about?" Isaac asked nervously.
With a smile still on her face she walked over to him and without a word wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her lips against his for a sweet kiss. She was tired of being apart from him, she knew what she wanted and she was going to go for it.
"Not that I'm complaining but, what was that for?" Isaac asked after the kiss, then added, "was that a uh, a good-bye kiss?"
"A good-bye kiss?" Teagan asked confused, then took a step back as she felt her stomach drop and added, "Wait.. you're not... you're not planning to leave again are you? I thought you said you decided to stay."
"What? No, no I'm not leaving." Isaac said, then added,"I just um, I just thought..."
"You thought what?" Teagan asked when he paused.
"I thought you and Jackson were back together." Isaac finally said shyly.
"What? Why would you think that?" Teagan asked, wondering how he could even think that.
"Well I... I heard you that night. You said you loved him and always would." Isaac said, reminding her of the night she saved Jackson and 'cured' him from the kanima.
"You're right I did. I did say that and I meant it." Teagan said with a nod and watched as Isaac swallowed hard and looked down at the floor.
Seeing that he was getting the wrong idea she took a step toward him and laid a hand on the side of his face. He lifted his head to look at her, wondering why she was smiling at him, but before he could ask she leaned forward and softly kissed his lips again.
She pulled back a little and looked into his eyes as she said, "I do love Jackson but I'm not in love with Jackson."
"Really?" Isaac asked surprised, then added when she nodded her head, "So what does that mean? Who are you in love with then?"
"You, Isaac. It's you." Teagan said smiling, "I am so completely head over heels in love with you and I ..."
Isaac cut her off mid-sentence as he leaned forward and captured her lips. He wrapped an arm around her waist and brought her body closer to his as he rested his other hand on the back of her neck, keeping the kiss going for as long as possible until he had to pull away to allow them to breathe.
She kept her eyes closed as she rested her forehead against his. He rested his hands on either side of her face, just wanting to touch her and smiled when he heard her heart racing. But as much as he loved hearing that, there was something else he wanted to hear again more than anything.
"Say it again." Isaac whispered.
"Hmm?" Teagan asked confused, as she pulled back a little to look at him.
"Say it again." Isaac repeated, as he looked into her eyes.
Teagan smiled, finally realizing what he was asking, then said, "I love you, Isaac."
Isaac smiled back and looked down at her chest when he heard her steady heartbeat and knew she was telling the truth. He laid a hand over her heart then said, "I don't know what I love more. Hearing you say that or hearing your heart as you say it."
He raised his head to look at her as he added, "Either way, I can get use to hearing it."
Teagan leaned forward to kiss him, then pulled back a little, her lips inches from his as she said, "Good. Cause I plan to say it to you many, many times."
Isaac smiled against her lips before pressing his against hers for another kiss. He couldn't believe he ever thought it was a good idea for them to be apart. Being with her made him feel complete, she was the only thing in his life that made sense and he never wanted to be away from her again.
He took a deep breath and felt his heart racing when she grabbed the bottom of the t-shirt he was wearing. The two locked eyes and continued to stare at each other as she slowly lifted it over his head and dropped it to the floor.
She softly smiled at him then leaned forward to lightly kiss his chest, causing him to gasp in surprise at the feel of her lips against his skin.
Teagan pulled back then looked up to see his face, she giggled when she saw he had his eyes closed and was holding his breath.
She placed her hands on either side of his face and waited for him to open his eyes, once he did she smiled then said,"Breathe, babe. You got to breathe."
"I-I'm sorry, I just... this is all new to me." Isaac admitted shyly, then added, "I've never loved someone the way I love you. I've never wanted anyone as much as I want you and I just don't want to screw this up. I always screw things up."
Teagan shook her head, trying to tell him that wasn't true, as he laid a hand against her cheek and said ,"I even screwed things up with you at first, but somehow I got lucky cause no matter how hard I tried to push you away, you never let me go, you're still right here in front of me, giving me another chance even when I don't deserve it."
Teagan reached up to lay her hand on top of his then said with a smile, "I told you I would never run from you and I meant it Isaac. It's you and me, it's always going to be you and me ok? No more running, no more pushing me away."
Isaac nodded his head in agreement, then said, "I won't screw up again with you, I promise."
"You don't have to promise that cause you never did." Teagan said, she hated that he thought that about himself.
She gave him a quick kiss then looked into his eyes, hoping she would get through to him, as she said, "You are not a screw up Isaac. You have never been a screw up."
"You are one of the most amazing people I have ever met. You have been there for me so many times Isaac, you've made me better, you've made my life better." Teagan said, as she grabbed both of his hands, intertwining their fingers before adding, "Now could a screw up do something like that?"
"I guess not." Isaac answered with a smile.
Teagan smiled back as she wrapped her arms around his neck then said, "That's right, cause you're not a screw up. You're my amazingly caring and very hot boyfriend who I love, very, very much..."
Isaac chuckled as he pulled her toward him then said, "I love you too."
"Prove it." Teagan said with a grin.
"S-Seriously?" Isaac breathed out nervously, as he looked into her eyes to see if she was serious or not.
Teagan bit her bottom lip and nodded her head to answer him, then said, "Un-unless you don't want to, I mean I'm not trying to rush you into anything."
She ran her hands up his bare chest, wrapping her arms around his heck then leaned forward to kiss him before pulling back, her lips inches from his as she added softly, "But if you do want to, I want to."
She pulled back a little more to look at him as she continued, "Because I want you Isaac, all of you. You are all I want."
Isaac smiled at her words as he slipped a hand under the tank top she was wearing, laying his hand flat on her back. He quietly moaned at how soft her skin was, it was exactly the way he always imagined it would be.
He nervously licked his bottom lip then looked into her eyes as he asked, "How long until your dad is home?"
Teagan smiled at his question as she ran a hand back down his chest, stopping at the top of his blue jeans, before she answered, "Hours and hours from now."
"Good. That's uh, that's good." Isaac said with a grin.
Teagan chuckled at the expression on his face, she could tell in that moment that he wanted her more than he had ever wanted anything.
She slowly unbuttoned his pants as she softly called out his name, getting his attention.
"Hmm?" Isaac asked, wondering what she wanted.
"Just kiss me." Teagan whispered, "and please don't stop."
Isaac nodded his head and smiled as he leaned forward to capture her lips as the two fell back on to her bed.
He had been waiting for this moment for years and the moment was finally here, a moment he definitely didn't want to screw up.
A/N- Thank you so much for reading! Even though this is the last chapter, don't worry! In about a week, I'll begin posting the sequel 'Twice in A Blue Moon.'
If you'd like to be notified when I post the sequel, you can either leave a review on this chapter or send me a message. ^_^
For anyone else who watched last night's episode, *long distance hugs!* If you watched the episode, you'll know why. For those of you who haven't seen it, I don't want to spoil anything. But I'm still an emotional wreck.
Even though I suspected who might be the big character death, nothing could have prepared me for that scene. Nothing.
