Derek's PROV

My dream girl! She talked to me, she actually talked to me! She was even more beautiful than I remembered. I look at her and see the beautiful girl who sang and touched my heart. Her stutter was adorable, but I wonder why she stuttered. Was she afraid? She never once stuttered when she sang. Her voice was always even and confident. She was probably afraid of me, they all were.

Whatever the matter, she was still beautiful. Her skin was so soft when I brushed my hand against hers. She smelled like fresh strawberries and rain. Her eyes were a beautiful blue. The perfect shade of sky blue. She was smaller than I had originally thought. She was barley up to my chest and incredibly thin. Even though she was so small, she still had soft curves. Then there was that fantastic neck of hers. I had a strong urge to nuzzle my nose into her neck and jaw. I wanted to drown in her sent. I had to stop now before I went to a place of no return.

There, was a sudden knock at the door that caught my attention.

"Come in," I called. My Dad walked into my room.

"Hey bud, I came to ask how school was. Tori and Simon are saying they like it here." he said.

"I guess I like it, it's not too crowded and the gym is big. The whole art school thing is odd, but I can handle it." I said to him.

"That's great to hear. I hope we can stay until you kids graduate." Kit said. I could hear how hopeful he was. "I'm going to make lunch I'll call you when it's done," he said and left.

An hour later Kit called us down to dinner. We all sat down at dinner and talked about the new place and school.

"So how was the tour?" Kit asked us.

"It was pretty cool. The school is newly remodeled." Simon answered.

"They have brand new Mac computers that we are free to use." Tori added in.

"Have you decided what extra class you will take, Derek?" Dad asked me.

"I'm not for sure." I told him.

"What do you kids want to do after high school?" He asked.

"Well, I'm planning on going to art school. I hope I can publish a graphic novel." Simon told him.

"I want to be a magazine editor or a computer programmer." Tori said.

"I want to be a lawyer for the Pack." I answered.

"That sounds real nice kids. I'm glad you have a plan." He told us. I could see how proud he was in his eyes.

"Thanks for dinner dad." Simon told him as he pushed his empty plate away.

"Sure thing bud, Tori would you mind helping your old man with the dishes?" He asked with a chuckle.

"Sure, I'll wash if you dry." She told him.

"Just like old times kiddo."

After Dinner we all went our separate ways. I went up to my room to read. After a while my wolf was getting restless so I started to get ready to go for a run. I changed my clothes and walked outside calling over my shoulder that I was going for a run. I walked right to the forest. It was going to drive me insane if I did not go see her.

I went to my clearing where I would go to changing or think. I striped down and crouched on my hands and knees. I took a deep breath and willed my body to transform. My features become more animistic. My blood turned red hot and my pulse quickened. I looked up and saw the world through sharper eyes. I stretched out my muscles for a moment and took off running. I pushed my newly formed four legs as fast as they could go. The world whizzed by my face of a long green stretch.

"Go, find her." My inner wolf commanded.

"I know I want to have her in my arms, to smell her divine sent…" My thoughts trailed off.

"You need to step it up with her then!" He barked right back.

"What are you talking about?" I asked confused.

"What do you think will happen when she meets Simon or another guy?" He replied with a smirk. I felt red hot anger boil my blood.

'"I hate to say it, but you are right. I can't- I won't lose her." I said with determination in my voice.

"That 'a pup, I'll help you get her." He said in a very proud voice.

"Thanks, I guess," I replied.

It was still light outside and the sun would not set for another forty minutes. I circled the stream I found the other day. I ran to her home when I caught her sent. I followed the sent around to the back of her house. There she was standing in all her glory. Her hair was as shinny as ever, and flowed over one shoulder. She was standing on the seat of an old swing set in the back yard. She hummed a sweet melody that I would love to hear her actually sing. Her gaze was far off into the trees. I had never seen anything so beautiful. I felt a sharp pain in my back as a howl escaped my lips.
