He opened his eyes slightly as heard something loud and shrill ringing through the room. It definitely made his headache go up a notch, but the pain still wasn't nearly as bad as it had been before. It took a second for him to realize it was his phone ringing. He pulled himself up into a sitting position glad that as he did so he didn't feel nauseous. His eyes momentarily glanced around the room taking in the scene. Dean was in bed and appeared to be sleeping, Sam was sitting at the table with a laptop although he was looking at Xander. Then Xander patted down his pockets not quite remembering where it was he had last put his phone. He found it in his jacket pocket and put it to his ear.

"Hello." Xander said.

"Xander, you said you'd call me." it was Willow, of course it was Willow. He winced.

"Yeah I meant to I just got caught up." caught up with being unconscious but he wasn't going to tell her that she worried enough about him as it was.

"Xander what's wrong?" Xander shook his head. How was it that she could always tell when something was wrong?

"Nothing Willow." he lied even though he should have known better.

"Xander." she said and he could see that resolve face that was on face even through the phone.

Xander looked up at Sam and didn't really want to have this conversation in front of him, in case it made him feel bad. He wasn't sure if Sam knew that Xander had fainted trying to take Sam back to Xander's car and Xander didn't really want to be the one to tell him. Xander got up from the bed and winced a little as his headache momentarily increased and also because the effort seemed to take a lot more out of him then it should have. He motioned that he was going to go outside to talk to Sam who looked worried but nodded. Xander made his way to the door when he heard Sam's voice.

"Xander." Xander turned back around and saw Sam lob a bottle of juice at him. He caught it much to his relief, since he didn't want to have pick it off the floor. Xander gave him a grateful smile and headed out the door. The curtain of the room had been closed so Xander was surprised to see that it was already morning. Xander held the phone with his head against his shoulder for a moment while he twisted the top off the juice. He was definitely feeling weak, he needed some liquids.

"Willow it's not a big deal." he said before taking a long drink, he hoped that she would let it go, then again he knew that she wouldn't. He walked a little further away from the motel room knowing how thin the walls at these kinds of places could be.

"What exactly isn't a big deal?" Willow asked suspiciously

"I may have...gotten a little bit knocked out." Xander said slowly and closed his eyes and waited for the fireworks to start, and start they did

"What?! What happened?! He winced as her shouting made his headache worse.

"I may have tried to carry Sam to the car when I wasn't doing so hot myself." Xander admitted.

"What?"

"The spell... it you know took a lot of blood and Sam fainted, and he's too big for Dean or really anyone to carry all by themselves on a good day, but Dean wasn't doing so well either."

"You fainted!" again Xander winced and put his hand to his throbbing head. There was a long pause "Are you okay?" he got the feeling that now would not be the right time to lie to her.

"Got a bit of a headache." he admitted.

"I would so come there if you weren't going to coming back." Xander brows creased in confusion.

"Huh?" they hadn't really discussed what they were going to be doing once they got Dean out of Purgatory. Why did Willow think they were going to coming back? Not that he was opposed to the idea. It would be a nice place for Dean to sort of adjust to the world here instead of there... if he had to. He was assuming that purgatory was a difficult place to be and one needed to adjust from it.

"I found a way out for their angel, but I need Dean and anything Dean was wearing in purgatory. Xander flashed back to what Dean had been wearing at the time and to the rips and tears in it.

"Um his clothing was kind of ripped, I don't know if he still has it?" Xander admitted.

"Well you better hope he does or someone's going to have to dumpster dive if they want their angel back."

"What did you find?"

"A spell but it requires things from purgatory for it, which Dean is and so are his clothes."

"Okay I'll let them know."

"This conversation isn't over we are going to have a long talk when you get back." Willow said sternly. There was really only one thing he could say to that.

"Yes Ma'am." there was a short pause.

"You better not hurt yourself again before I see you." Xander smiled at the tone of concern and worry in her voice before hiding it despite the fact that he knew that she couldn't actually see him smiling.

"No Ma'am." he said.

"Don't call me Ma'am." Willow said irritably. "but I mean it." she finished earnestly.

"Got it Willow." he said. "See you soon."

"See you soon." Xander hung up the phone and stared at the door to the room of the motel. He winced at the headache which had only gotten worse due to Willow's shouting. That way lay pills, glorious magical pills. He walked the few steps it took to get the door, then felt weak for a moment as his legs started to collapse from under him. Thankfully the door was in range, he leaned against it for a little bit until he got enough strength back. He realized as he tried to turn the doorknob that he didn't have a key, so he knocked. He only had to wait a few moments before Sam opened the door, and maybe sensing how weak Xander was, Sam held it open while Xander made his way into the room. He sat down on the bed that Dean wasn't sleeping on, which he assumed he had been sleeping on and took another long drink., Apparently he still wasn't hydrated enough.

"You okay?" he heard Sam ask softly. Xander nodded, before drinking the rest of the juice down.

"Heads up." Sam said before tossing him another which Xander thankfully caught as well. He twisted off the top of the juice and took another long drink before he set about scanning the room for the first aid kit. He didn't want to take anything too heavy but some aspirin would be nice. He found his first aid kit between the two beds and frowned.

If it was in here instead of the car that meant it had been used. He took a quick look at Sam who looked fine and Sam had only fainted so he wouldn't need anything from a first aid kit. He looked at Dean who he couldn't really see since he was facing away from him and still sleeping. He wondered the last time that Dean had been able to sleep at all, much less in a warm, somewhat soft bed. He was reminded of his headache when it throbbed enough to distract him from his train of thought. He brought his hand up to his head and felt the stitches.

Well mystery solved he thought, then made his way to the ground and onto his knees as he first opened, then scoured his first aid kit trying to remember where it was he had put the pain pills. He found them quickly, opened up the pill bottle and shook the proper dosage onto his hand. He tilted his head back and downed them with juice. As soon as it took effect things were going to be so much better. He made his way back to his feet and looked to Dean then Sam. He should tell them now. He knew he should. He knew how much they would want to hear the news but he didn't want to wake Dean up from his sleep, because he had a feeling that sleep didn't come easy for the younger man.

"How long has he been asleep?" Xander asked Sam.

"He fell asleep a few hours ago, he didn't really want to but he did. I woke him up about an hour ago and walked him to bed where he fell back asleep again." Xander nodded, his concerns had been confirmed. However, from the brief anger he saw in Dean eyes about Sam leaving their Angel in Purgatory before Sam had passed out, Xander knew that if Dean had the choice between sleep and being closer to getting his angel friend out of Purgatory, he'd choose his angel friend.

"What's Dean wearing?" Xander asked then realized how weird of a question that was even before Sam sported a why-the-hell-are-you-asking-that face.

"Is Dean still wearing his clothes from purgatory." Xander clarified. Sam still had the same look on his face but to a slightly lesser extant.

"No. I brought his clothes from the Impala and he changed last night. Why?"

"Where are his old clothes?" expression heightened even more, however he answered pointing the direction of the bathroom.

"They're in a black plastic bag in there. His clothes were too big for the little trash cans and I haven't gotten around to throwing it away yet." Xander nodded relieved that no one was going to have to go through the trash.

"Xander." Sam said in a very tell-me-what's-going-on face. Xander sighed.

"You should probably wake Dean up. I'm still too weak to tell this twice."
