HAHA! So, I'm not dead! (I guess). Anyway, soooo I watched Captain America: Civil War (amazing you should go see it if you haven't) and I was sitting there thinking, 'How would DJ and Dragon fit into this?' and I liked the way it was going sooo...I wanted to write that but I realized I still hadn't finished this. SO here it is! I'm going to try to finish it! Which means I'll probably get maybe two-three chapters up and forget about it but I will try! Please be patient as I get back into this story. I had a whole action plan but it's been a few years :D

Disclaimer: I own nothing. I am broke.

"DJ! Come get some pancakes!"

At the call, DJ's ears flipped toward the sound and she sighed.

Dragon knew. She only made pancakes when one of them needed a cheer-up. She was going to have to sit through a long talk about how everyone was busy and it's not that they wouldn't love to come visit but they were just too busy.

That wasn't the problem. That was never the problem. Something big was coming and DJ wasn't sure they could handle it.

"Coming!"

DJ jumped off the bed and jammed the notepad that she had been sketching on back onto the pile of papers on her desk. She ruffled her hair to make it look like she had actually been in bed before heading down the stairs to the kitchen.

After the whole New York incident and a few bad accidents in regular apartment complexes, Stark decided to purchase a plot of land and build their own apartment on it.

DJ walked into the kitchen and scoffed, Stark had been trying to make up for their past when he asked them for help to design everything. Since they had no knowledge of the 20th century technology, he had constantly upgraded or added things to what they wanted until nearly everything in the apartment was top of the line.

She walked in and sat at the bar area and flipped on the TV before going to grab some juice.

"So, how did you sleep?" Dragon asked as she flipped a few more pancakes onto a plate, already overflowing.

"It was fine."

"Nothing unusual?"

"No."

Dragon sighed, "DJ…"

"Look, I don't want to talk about it. Just one bad dream is all. I thought maybe some clean air would help."

Dragon shook her head, determined not to fight and sat down, "Alright. Did it help?"

DJ nodded before sitting back down, "A little bit. I don't even remember what the dream was about."

Dragon nodded, "Well, that's good at least. I'm starting to feel like we need a vacation. The last time we went anywhere new was when we went to Los Angles last summer."

A small smile appeared on DJ's face, "Yeah, that was a lot of fun! We should go out somewhere. I mean, it's not like we're doing anything super important here."

After leaving SHEILD the two had been working odd jobs to pay rent. Stark told them it wasn't necessary but the two wanted something to keep busy with. Currently, Dragon was an editor and DJ dabbled in construction but was in-between jobs.

"I'm here at Stonehenge for what has been an interesting unfolding of events today. The police were called to the scene shortly after 11am this morning after a seemingly harmless rambler approached the area then decided to strip naked and effectively terrorize tourists there…"

Both women glanced toward the TV where a blonde reporter was standing at Stonehenge.

"Well, that's not something you hear every day." Dragon said, laughing as she poured more syrup on her already syrupy mess.

"…while shouting that he was trying to save them. The man later identified as noted astrophysicist Dr. Erik Selvig has been called in for questioning by police."

DJ's ears flicked forward, her fork halfway to her mouth.

"Erik Selvig? That's…that's the guy that made the portal for Loki wasn't it?" Dragon asked, her eyes full of concern as they watched the police take him away on the screen.

"Yeah…it was."

Dragon looked up at the tone of DJ's voice and saw the strain in her friend's eyes. Was this what DJ was so worried about?

"Do you think he's gone crazy?"

DJ shrugged, her eyes down on her plate and Dragon noticed her tail bristling as if she expected someone to attack.

Dragon continued eating for a little while before sighing, "DJ, if there's something bothering you…anything at all, I'm here to listen. Are you worried about Selvig?"

"Dragon, I'm fine. Really, I just didn't sleep well and I never thought Selvig would pop back up in our lives after New York. Especially not naked in Stonehenge."

Dragon watched her, noticing how her eyes were still downcast and the fact that DJ hadn't looked at her in that entire exchange worried her. Was her friend coming down with depression?

"You're probably right. You do look a little tired. When was the last time you hibernated?"

DJ shook her head, "I don't remember."

"That's probably why! Why don't you finish eating and go upstairs. I can let anyone know that you're busy if you get any business calls."

DJ nodded and got up, "I'm actually not very hungry. Thank you for the pancakes though."

Dragon watched as she walked back upstairs and sighed before pulling out her phone. She was going to get to the bottom of this before DJ ended up being a danger to herself.

"You really are a fool."

DJ's eyes snapped open and she glanced around wildly, her eyes widening as all she saw was sand.

"Loki?"

"You could have had everything and instead you let them put you back in a box."

DJ struggled to sit up as the wind whipped around her, throwing sand in her eyes and making them sting.

"I'm not in a box!"

She staggered through sand as laughter echoed all around her, "When will you stop lying to yourself? You threw away your only chance for freedom and revenge."

Tears started streaming out of DJ's eyes as the wind picked up, throwing her to her knees.

"Loki…" She glanced up and there he was, standing in front of her with a smug look on his face.

"The end is coming, Desmora."

Red liquid began wrapping around her arms, pinning them to her sides and continued their journey around her body. She let out a piercing scream as they began to cut away at her skin, leaving her nerves exposed to the stinging sand.

Her vision began to fade, her heartbeat began to slow but before she could give up and let her life leave her, time reversed and she began to re-live the entire process over and over.

"DJ! DJ! Wake up!"

She was shaking, her whole bed was shaking, "What's happening?"

Her voice was raw from screaming and tears were streaming down her face.

"DJ, you were having another nightmare. You were screaming…"

Dragon looked so perplexed that DJ felt ashamed for worrying her and that made her mad.

"What can I do to help? Do I need to call someone?" Dragon asked, pulling out her cellphone, looking lost.

"Call the airport."

"Airport? Why?"

"We're going to England. I need to know what Selvig was warning people about."
