I woke up Monday morning and got ready for school. I had to push Simon and Tori out of the door so we would get to school on time. My morning classes all dragged by, but I could not wait until I saw Chloe in English. Sadly my history teacher had to hold the class a few minutes over to tell us the homework assignment and I had to rush to English. Chloe was already at her desk when I made it to English, but her head was resting on the desk. I set down beside her but I was surprised when she didn't even stir. I could tell something was definitely wrong. I cleared my throat to let her know I was there. She lifted her head and gave me a sad smile. I could see how tired she was from her eyes.
"What's wrong?" I asked as quietly as I could manage. She sighed.
"I have a bad grade and my Aunt is mad at me" she said with sorrow in her voice. She hid her face in her arms. I sighed.
"What subject?" I asked
"Math," she said. Her voice was muffled by her arms.
"Do you want my help?" I asked on impulse. The wolf had given me the idea, so we could spend more time together.
"Ohmygods, would you please help me? I hate disappointing her and I don't want to fail math." She begged.
I nodded. "Sure, why not?" I said.
"Thank you so much! How can I ever repay you?" She asked. The wolf had a few ideas.
"No need. Do you want to meet me in the library tomorrow after school?" I asked.
"That would be perfect!" she agreed.

Today has dragged by even theater could not cheer me up. I was disappointed to see Derek's seat empty in English. He always beat me to class first. I laid my head down on the desk. I was on the verge of tearing up. I'm not for sure how long I stayed in that position but a noise beside my made me raise my head. Derek sat in his desk looking at me concerned. He looked so handsome today. He was wearing a black T-shirt that just hugged his broad shoulders.
Derek was so sweet and asked me what was bothering me. He was so sweet and offered to help me in Math. I was just so excited, I actually might have the chance of passing Math this year. We planned to meet up tomorrow to work on my problems.
I said goodbye to Derek at the end of class. I bought my food and went to eat lunch in the library. I sat in my favorite plush chair by a big open window. Outside in the court yard a large oak tree was full of leaves. It's weird to think a few months ago snow covered the ground.
I sat soaking in the sun light from the window. I sighed and snuggled further back in my chair. I took a bite of my apple and looked out the window. To my surprise Derek came to sit under the Oak tree.
When I first meet him he was cold but I believe he has warmed up to me. I'm glad to call him a friend, but I wouldn't mind being more. He was gorgeous and kind. He calmed me in a relaxing kind of way. I always felt safe around him.
When school ended I all but ran to my Aunt's car. I was so happy to tell her that things were turning around. I was bouncing in my seat like a child waiting for her to start the car. I did not say a word during the car ride –even though it almost killed me to.
"Ok, will you tell me what you are dying to tell me so badly?" She said with a smile spreading across her face.
I took in a deep breath. "I was at school today and I was thinking about what I could do for math. A good friend of mine offered to help me because he is in a college level math. " I all but yelled in happiness.
"That is great sweetie", my aunt said.
"He will start torturing me after school tomorrow." I said to her. Her face fell.
"Oh sweet heart, I have to work later tomorrow." She said sound in disappointed.
"That's okay", I said to reassure her. "I can just walk home to my house." I said with a smile hoping she would agree. It's not like it will be dark when I leave.
"Oh, Ok if you don't mind." She said unsurely.
"No none at all" I said and that was the end of that, and I headed off to do my homework.
