Chloe's PROV

"What's your favorite color?"

"Black, yours?" He asked.

"Green." I said blushing looking into his green eyes. He showed me one of his beautiful rare smiles. His lips stretched out showing his teeth. He had one of those smiles where it pulled up higher on one side. It showed his canine on the right side of his face. It had so much character, and it just fit Derek so well. He actually could be a real goof; he was one around me. He was sarcastic, and quite devious. He was a total tease too. He always left me wanting more. Kissing was his specialty. I don't think I will ever grow tired of kissing Derek Souza.

I then felt a breath blowing on my face. I opened my eyes; I never even knew I closed them. I was staring deeply into deep green. Derek's eyes were green just green. They weren't hazel with brown or blue, but different shades of green. Derek green. His eye lashes were as dark and full as his raven hair. He blinked, and I saw a flash of his lavender lids. His cheeks lifted and the corner of his eyes creased. The little devil was smirking at me! Then he did a very Derek thing. He did not kiss me like a normal person, no Derek is not normal. Derek Souza is a goob, but he is my goob. My big goob blew his breath in my face. His breath fluttered my hair. I could practically taste the mint on him. My mouth watered.

"Where did you go?" He asked leaning back. I missed him already.

"I was thinking, sorry I zoned out."

"It's alright." He said simply.

"Would you like to go to lunch with me this weekend?" He asked after a bit of silence.

"Like on a date?" I asked shock in my voice.

"Yes." He said rolling his eyes. I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks.

"I would love to go to lunch with you." I said with a gigantic smile on my face. I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him tight. I sat there in his embrace until, I reached up. Normally I would kiss his lips, or cheek. I'm short, and I can't reach his mouth. So I kiss his chin. I think it's a weird place, but it's the best I can do. I smile up at him. He grins back at me and leans closer. When he gets close enough for me to smell the mint. A shrill sound of the bell makes me laugh. It would be our luck that the bell would ring before I could kiss his sweet lips. Derek stood to his feet, and stretched. I smiled when I heard the popping, and cracking. He is such a guy. He looked down at me and smiled. He offered me his hand. He grasped my hand and pulled me gingerly to his chest. He grabbed both of our backpacks and walked me to my next class holding my hand. He was such a gentleman.

I kissed Derek goodbye in front of my Science class. He handed me my bag and gave a one last lingering kiss before he turned away to leave. I walked into class and said my hello to Liz.

"Babe! What has been going on with you? What happened to the "were just friends" as you told me" She demanded.

"Well, he started to tutor me and we would spend a lot of time together after school. We became partners for an English project and got closer. I made a good grade on my math test and he took me out to the movies. Oh Liz, it was amazing! He doesn't mind that I talked through the whole movie. He was a total gentlemen the whole night he even bought me pizza and ice-cream. Let me tell you that boy can eat! He ate a whole pizza on his own and ate ice-cream after! He drove me home and I thought he was just getting tired of me so I tried to leave as fast as I can, but he stopped me. He didn't want me to leave angry so he kissed me. Ever since he is all I can think about." I told her.

"Ohmygods! That's the best love story I've ever heard! Do you think you guys will hang out again soon?" Liz asked.

"Well he just asked me on a lunch date." I told her.

"That's great!" You will have to show me what you wear so I can approve!" Liz squealed and hugged me tightly. It was great seeing my best friend. It had been so long since I talked with her.

"We have to plan a sleepover soon!" I told her.

"Oh of course babe!" She promised.

"So how have things been?" I asked her.

"Pretty good just lonely without you." She bumped my shoulder.

"How is Nate?" I asked.

"He is doing better than he was. He and Amber were not a good pair." She told me.

"I never liked her anyways." I told Liz.

"Me either!" She said laughing.
