Chapter 15
Authors Note: My sincere apologies to my loyal readers I know I haven't updated this story in forever but I finally was able to recover it. So if you don't already know Skittery and Patience are a couple and Luckys little brother was found and now they are making plans to keep Demon luckys brother safe from the delancey brothers.
"I can't believe you would even think that of me Skittery! Lucky is one of my closest friends. I would never betray you with him!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
"Well dats not what Ise hoid, youse and lucky are pretty close. Well maybe dats what youse want and not me!" Skittery yelled back.
"Well if that's the way you feel then I'm gone I never want to see you again." I yelled back forcing tears to stream down my face before running out the door. I ran past the newsies ignoring all of their shocked looks as I went. Then I saw Lucky make his way through the crowd towards me, but I just kept running I knew I had to get to the meeting place and fast.
As soon as I got there Lucky arrived not even 5 minutes later, now all we had to do was go to Meddas, Demon was already there waiting on us and he was either scared out of his mind or having the time of his life. Lucky and I made our way towards Meddas trying to act as much like a couple as we could. We had no idea that our plan would almost be ruined when a girl came running up to them.
"Lucky! Who is dis goil youse is wit?" She demanded putting her hands on her hips.
"Shes me goil." Lucky smirked wrapping his arm around my waist.
"What about me?" She questioned tears brimming around her eyes.
"Don't even stoit dat, Kristin, wese been done foah a long time and youse knows dat. Ise don't know why youse gotta keep chasin sometin da taint gonna happen." Lucky glared at the girl. I felt a little bad for her but I could see why Lucky left her she seemed extremely clingy and moody. Just then she grab Lucky and kissed him hard on the mouth. I know Lucky and I aren't a real couple but something in me snapped and I attacked her.
"Patience sweetheaht calm down." Lucky whispered in my ear pulling me away from the frightened girl. "Kristin knows it ova shes just tryin ta get me back."
I looked at Lucky and nodded my head then we left the girl standing in the middle of the sidewalk slack jawed and glaring. She seemed to hate the fact that Lucky was no longer with her, that or she was ignoring it because she started to follow us. Would this girl ever give up? I knew we had to lose her somehow so we made our way through the crowded streets ducking and dodging around people we even split up to see who she would follow. By the time I made it to Meddas I was no longer being followed and Lucky was already there, he was rubbing his knuckles and shaking his head. I looked at him confused and he just smiled slightly and shook his head. I knew now wasn't the time so together we made our way inside meddas and towards her dressing room. Demons face lit up as soon as he saw us and he came running up to me. I gathered the kid in my arms and lifted him up. This plan would work it has to work I thought to myself as Medda led us to a room with two beds. We would stay here for awhile, I just missed Skittery and wish things were different. I know he was going along with the plan but after all Lucky told me before about Skittery I could not help but think things wouldn't turn out as great as we thought it would. Something was going to happen and I could feel it. But what? What was this nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach?
