Author notes: Wow, I missed updating this story. That doesn't I mean I forgotten.
Okay it looks like there were confusing in the previous chapter. I want to clear it up saying that Sesshomaru is okay and not hurt. Anyway, here is next update. Enjoy and don't forget review. I love to see how you think.
In the chapter, an important character or more like someone important to Saige will appears in the chapter. I will let you figure it out from the clue I put in this chapter.

Chapter Forty One
Somewhere in the forest, running at a fast pace, Sesshomaru was trying to catch up the scent that he detected earlier with Saige. The scent is getting stronger so he knows he must be closer. He want to help Saige and protect her.
~Flashback, Sesshomaru's POV~
"Rena," He heard her muttered under her breath earlier back at the hut. The name was unfamiliar to him, but judging from Saige upsetting look, he take it that she knew this Rena person. Can it be that Rena is her enemy in the future that seeking revenge on her?
"Saige?" Rin asked with concern in her voice with a mother concern for their kid look. "Are you alright? Is there something wrong?"
"It's nothing," was Saige's respond, which was an absolute lie. He knew she was only lying to keep Rin from worrying and being scared.
"I can handle it," was Saige said next and he immediately look up at her with a serious look.
As if he would let her handle it alone. If he knows how his future self think, then it would surely be that he would never let Saige handle anything alone especially when she has a lot of things going on.
Without saying a word to Saige and Rin, he quietly teleported away to seek out who Rena was and judging from the scent, Rena is a demon indeed.
~ End of Flashback, Sesshomaru's POV~
Sesshomaru was determining to find Rena and stop her before she finds Saige.

Sesshomaru came across two corpses on the ground. One of them of was wolf demon with it head chopped off and the other one was a solider who, reek of solid and bone and it has Cobramaru's scent, which mean the solider must have been working for Cobramaru.
"Hn, they must have been killed by Rena," he muttered.
"If you're searching for Rena then she's long gone,' a voice spokes all of sudden, coming from behind the tree.
Sesshomaru immediately yanks out his Baksaiga and aim it at the tree. "You know I should destroy for kidnapping Rin," he retorted coldly.
"But you won't," Viper emerges out from behind the tree with his arms folded, not intending to retreat. "Beside, I'm not the one you are searching for".
Sesshomaru placed the Baksaiga back in his sheath, not taking his eyes off of Viper. "Tell me how much you know about this Rena demon?" He demanded.
"Not much, but I do know that she and Saige has a rival going on with each other. Viper explained as if he knew how Saige and Rena despise each other in the future. "Saige has defeated her once and now that Cobramaru has rise her back from death, she targeting Saige and will destroy anyone or anything that get in her way
"So, I suggest you stay out of her way," he warned.
"Hn, this Rena demon doesn't scare me at all," Sesshomaru turns and walks away. "I can defeat her with my eyes close".
"I'm guessing you know what kind of demon Rena is, am I right?" Viper asked.
Sesshomaru turns and looked at him as if he knew what Viper was talking about.
"I'll take that as a yes from your expression," Viper unfolds his arms and walks up to Sesshomaru. "Then you must know that she is very powerful and equal strength as you".
"What are you trying to say?" Sesshomaru questioned even though he already knew.
"I'm saying that you shouldn't run off and leaving your family especially when Rena is heading that way," Sesshomaru slightly eyes widen for a few second and then remain calm.
"I already know," he replied.
"Oh, that's why you came out here, hoping that you would run into her." Viper smirked. "That's pretty smart of you". He remarked.
"What exactly are you doing here, Viper?"
"What I'm doing here is none of your business," Viper answered and got lift off the ground by throat. He glares down at Sesshomaru's eyes. "What are you going do? Kill me?"
"Maybe," Sesshomaru smirked. "You got a minute to tell me what you are doing here?" He presses his nails into Viper's neck.
"I came to find you," Viper answered a moment later and Sesshomaru releases him. He fell to the ground coughing.
"So, you knew I would come out here," Sesshomaru assumed and Viper nodded. "Hn, so you want to kill me to avenge your wife death, I presume." He turned around, facing his back toward Viper.
No, not quite," Viper got up and rubs his sore neck. "I came to help you defeat Cobramaru," Sesshomaru turns and looked at him, not surprise at all.
"So, you finally know who killed your wife".
"Wait, how do you know," Viper sounded surprise and immediately realize something. "Wait a minute, you're..." he stares at Sesshomaru and notices something different. His appearance look older and his kimono were torn and worn.
Wanting to confirm his suspicion, he yanks out his sword and plunge into the Sesshomaru's stomach. His eyes widen when his sword went through Sesshomaru's stomach and Sesshomaru remain standing with no injury.
"NO WAY!" Viper exclaimed and yanks his sword back in shock.
"Now, you know who I am," Sesshomaru spokes. "I want you to do me a favor or else I'll destroy you". He threatened.

"So, you and Rena are enemy and now she's back to settle a score with you," Inuyaha says and Saige nodded.
"Which mean she's heading this way as we speak," Kenzou points out.
"And that would mean, we should be prepare and be ready when Rena arrive to fight," Kagome's voice spokes and everyone turn and see Kagome and Rin walking over to them.
Kenzou lower his head, feeling bad "Mom, I..." he begins to says, but Kagome hold her hand up, stopping him.
"You don't need to say anything, I totally understand," Kagome smiles "You were only trying to do the right thing. I just wish you would have told me about it".
"Kagome, you heard everything?" Inuyasha asked surprise to see that Kagome is not upset and was okay.
Kagome nodded. "Yes and so did Rin".
Rin walks over to Saige. "Saige, I may not be your mother here, but I am your mother in the future. You're not alone in this and that I'm willing to fight for you and Lord Sesshomaru".
Saige shook her head. "No, it's too dangerous," She refused to let her mother get involve especially what happen in the future.
"It's the risk I'm willing to take," She placed a hand on Saige's shoulder. "Beside, I know what happen to me in the future." Saige eyes widen and she looked at Rin. "It's not your fault, Saige".
"Of course it is my fault," Saige looked away. "That day when you died, I should have protected you and save you, which was an order, but I fail and died. You weren't the only one that died that day".
"What do you mean by that?" Rin asked, confused by Saige's word.
Inuyasha on the others, figure out what Saige meant. His eyes widen in shock. "No way!" he muttered and turned to Kenzou, who nodded, telling him it's true.
Saige sighs and looked at Rin. "You were..." she hesitated whether she should say it or not.
"Were what?"
Kenzou walked up to Saige. "If you can't say, then I will," he offered and Saige agreed before she turns her back on him and Rin. He turns to Rin "What Saige is trying to say is that you were pregnant when you died that day".
Rin gasps along with Kagome, who was also shock. "I was pregnant". Kenzou nodded. "Did I know?" she asked.
"Sadly no, but Saige figure it out when Lord Sesshomaru took you to Kaede. Since then Saige has been blaming herself for yours and Sesshomaru death and turn off her emotion, becoming cold hearted person".
"Poor Saige," Kagome muttered, feeling sympathy for Saige. Inuyasha placed a hand on Kagome's shoulder.
Rin walked up to Saige and grabs her arms. "It's not your fault. You and Lord Sesshomaru did everything to protect me".
"But it wasn't enough," Saige placed her hand on Rin's and gently pull her arms away from Rin. She was about to walk away when she senses someone present. Immediately, she and Kenzou and along with Inuyasha got in front of Kagome and Rin, getting ready to fight whoever is coming out of the forest. Miroku, Sango, Jaken, and Kohaku rush out from the hut.
"What's going on?" Miroku asked as he and others made to Inuyasha side.
Inuyasha points toward the forest, "Someone is coming," He replied and everyone got into their fighting stance.
To their surprised, it was Viper, holding a blue ball of light.
"Viper," Saige growls and charges right at him, extending her claws.
"Saige wait!" Inuyasha shouted.
Before everyone can react, Viper hurls the blue ball of light right at Saige.
Saige eyes widen when she realizes what that blue ball of light was before it hit her in the chest.
"Saige!" everyone shouted and rushes forward.
Saige felt herself black out. Now, she's standing in a dark room.
"Where am I?" She questioned out loud.
"You're in your mind," a voice answered from behind her. She swiftly turns around and was shock to see who it was.
She speechless and was able to say one word from her mouth.

Rena was running fast toward the Saige's scent when a white light slams into her, causing her to hit her back hard against the tree.
"Who are you?" She growls.
The white light landed in front of her and disappears, revealing Sesshomaru standing there, glaring at her.
"I should be asking you that," he coldly stated.
Rena got up and glares at him. "Sesshomaru, I should have known it was you." Her eyes start glowing red. "You will soon wish you haven't crossed my path after I'm done with you". She retorted.
"Actually that would be you, demon," Sesshomaru retorted back, holding his hand, extending his claws.

What is that blue ball of light? Who did Saige see?
Next chapter will reveal everything.
Sesshomaru and Rena will fight.
Like I said before at the end of previous chapters that I don't remember, I did mention that an important person will make an appearance.
