Shortly after Saya's little breakdown and Takashi flailing her around like a rag doll, we heard some large vehicles coming. Looking out the window we saw a SUV, a big rig and an oil tanker.
"Who the hell is that?" I asked.
Saya stepped up to the balcony railing and leaned outwards "He's the former lord of Tokunosu, the head of the Takagi family, the man who judges everything by HIS rules... My father." She said.
"Huh. He sounds a lot like my dad, except my dad's whiter than that and his hair is a little longer and blacker than your dad's." I said.
"Does he always carry that sword around with him?" Aisu asked, gesturing to the sheathed katana in his left hand.
"One more thing he has in common with my dad, if you flip the sides." I threw in (meaning my dad carries his katana in his right hand).
"I'll have to give him this, for a human, he's got a rather intimidating aura." Damion said.
"Certainly doesn't look like a man who should be messed with." Erika agreed.
Suddenly, they had a zombie brought to him in a cage carried by a forklift, everyone watching. "This man's name is Tetsutaru Doi. He's the former retainer of the family who served the Takagi family. He is also my best friend. Today, during the rescue operation in an effort to save his associates, he was bitten. This is the ultimate case of self-sacrifice." He explained.
"He's clearly never seen Lance's Suicide Blast. It will wipe out literally all of his enemies on the battlefield, even if they were immortal, but it kills him. Good thing our grandparents are the gods of death and hell, so we just keep getting 'get out of death free' cards." I said.
"What he did was noble. Something any human could do. However, he is no longer human. He has become something EXTREMELY dangerous." He continued, the zombie slamming up against the cage to try and get to him, people backing away in fear.
"He's in a cage, you pansies!" The non-humans all shouted together.
"That's why..." Saya's father continued, drawing his katana, raising it above his head. "As a man of the Takagi family, I will fulfill my obligation to the retainer!" He said. Someone undid the lock and jumped back, the zombie surprisingly running at him, but he was unphased (seriously, someone tell me in the reviews: is it unfazed or unphased? I need help with that), hacking down at him.
Suddenly, we focus on a baby bottle that the baby dropped. "For real?" Damion asked in an annoyed/disappointed tone.
Everyone turned to the noise and the woman bent down as if to pick up some of the pieces, but didn't. "I'm so sorry. My baby is just..." She said, looking at all of them, before looking back to Saya's father.
"Seriously, they were more interested in a bottle breaking than a man about Metal Gear Raiden a zombie." Aisu said (you know, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, where Raiden can slice people into like 500 pieces?).
We now look back at the scene and the zombie's head was in the bottom level of the fountain, the water running read with blood. "This is the present we're facing! And SO! Even if their your wonderful friends, beloved family members and people you once loved, you MUST defeat them without hesitation." Saya's father continued.
"Wow, my dad would REALLY hit it off with this guy." I said.
"That's not a comforting thought." Erika said.
"I know, right, we'd have to hang around with Saya more often." I agreed.
"If you want to survive, you must fight!" He finished.
We then watched as he walked off, Saya's mother following close behind him. Meanwhile, Kohta looked pissed. "What's the matter Kohta? You don't look so good." Takashi said.
"Swords are incredibly inefficient." He said.
"Bitch, what?" Damion, Erika and I demanded together.
"I SAID THEY'RE INEFFICIENT! A Japanese sword can break if it hits bone! It's useless after slicing 3 or 4 people!" He said.
"Where the hell are you finding your swords, the mall? Japanese swords are LITERALLY the best! Japanese steel folded 1000 times! You could literally block bullets and not even get a scratch on the blade! You can even pierce through metal suits of armor like the samurai or a medieval knight. A katana pierces their armor better than their own swords did. And the blade bends a hell of a lot less." I told him.
"My words exactly, brother!" Damion said, high-fiving me. "The katana is an unbeatable weapon. Almost nothing can stand up to it." He told the fat gunman.
"And it takes a true warrior to get in up-close and personal with a sword, risking getting covered in blood and actually seeing your enemy die before you. It lets you know the strength of your own bravery and character." Erika added.
"You can't say what you did for sure, Kohta. Even in the way of the sword, numbers determine your strength. The swordsman's technique, the quality of his sword, his mental strength. If these 3 elements are at high levels, you won't lose your fighting strength, no matter how many people you have to fight against." Saeko told him.
However, fatty wasn't done being a bitch yet. "But once the sword has blood on it, then it's impossible to-" He started, before being interrupted.
Damion growled at this, glaring at Hirano. "You're just a coward hiding behind a gun. You aren't man enough to be out on the front lines getting your hands dirty. You couldn't even handle the weight of the sword, could you? You'd probably just tremble in fear and start running when the zombies got anywhere near you. We fight and stand our ground out there where the threat can bite us, but you...you stay at the back of the group to fire off a gun that's more hassle than what it's worth. The noise factor makes a gun more dangerous than helpful...You think that just because we use blades we'd be at more of a risk than you. Get it through your thick skull, we have the advantage of silent killing, unlike you..." He snapped, before getting a vicious idea.
"Why don't we see which is better?" He asked, throwing Kohta his assault rifle and taking up his katana. We got a good distance off the property so we wouldn't be disturbed or disturb anyone else, Damion and Kohta standing 50 feet away from each other. "Shoot me. I'll prove to you how worthless your guns are in the face of a sword, the way a REAL man fights." He said, taking a stance similar to Setsuka from Soul Calibur.
"Fine, all it will take is one bullet to break that blade in two!" Kohta shouted, firing at Damion. Time seemed to slow down in the eyes of the non-humans, as we were the only ones who could follow the movements of what happened next. The bullet came within reach of Damion's sword, at which point he struck, unsheathing his sword and slicing through the bullets as if it was nothing, his movements almost a blur, the sword leaving a trail of sparks from bullets hitting it every time it was swung. Kohta ran out of bullets, unloaded the magazine and reloaded, but just as he pulled the gun back up, Damion's sword was at his throat.
"You see now? Your gun is absolutely pathetic when faced with a TRUE weapon." He said, leaving the tiniest cut on Kohta's neck as a reminder of what would've happened if Damion was an enemy.
"Okay then, now it's time to be badasses and wipe these zombies off the face of the Earth." I told everyone.
"Roger." Damion said.
"Wilco!" Aisu threw in.
"You don't even know what that means." Erika and I told him.
"Still, I'm in." Erika said.
"Alright, then. Farewell, humans and don't worry, you're lives should be back to normal by the end of the week." I told them as we all flew off.
"I hope they know what they're doing..." Takashi said.
"I wouldn't doubt them. Sai always knows what he's doing. And the others are just as good as him." Saeko said, watching me in particular as we flew off.
In the middle of the city...
Thanks to a combination of Cerberus howling and us blasting Disturbed's new song The Vengeful One, we lured all the zombies on this side on this island to us. "Here they come... A zombie horde as far as the eye can see... Get ready." I told them.
Background music: The Vengeful One by Disturbed
We all rushed in at different directions, each taking on our own small horde. I threw a grenade further off into the wave of zombies I was fighting, then pulled out 2 sawed-off shotguns, blasting the 2 in front of the group. I then turned to the left and dropped down on one knee, blasting another one in the head, then turning about 15 degrees and blasting another one. I looked to the right and saw a zombie climb over a car, rushing at me, but I just pointed the gun in my right hand at him and blasted him. Another zombie ran at me from the left, rolling over a car and charging, so I brought my right hand under my left hand, which was still out in front of me, blasting the zombie in the head, causing him to do a half back-flip and hit the ground. Another one jumped on my back, causing me to stumble and crash into a car, at which point I pulled a knife out of my pocket and stabbed her in the head. I then spun around and stuffed the shotgun in my left hand into another zombies mouth, blowing the back of his head out. I shot another one in front of me then one came up on my right, so I crouched down, flipped him over my shoulder and slammed him down on the car's hood, blasting him in the head with my left-hand shotgun. "Get some." I said in a dark, badass tone.
Damion was having no trouble putting his fists through zombies heads, one punch easily ending their lives. He stomped on the ground, making a small shockwave, causing the zombies to lose their balance, allowing him to do a spinning back leg round kick, breaking 4 zombies in half in front of him, then he took off one of his gloves and shot a stream of dark fire at the rest of them, roasting all the zombies up to 20 feet away from him. He then drew the gun-katana, shooting the first 6, then rushing in, swinging his sword madly, slicing through the zombies with ease to the point he felt literally no resistance as he cut completely through them. Once he cleared the first wave, he simply smirked as he swung his blade to clean the blood off, spinning it once and sheathing it behind his head, at which point the zombies fell to pieces. "Rotting corpses are no match for the power of a vampire." He said.
As for Erika, she was earning that title she gave herself: princess of combat. She threw a left hook at a zombies head, splattering it, then she spun on her back foot and elbowed another zombie, decapitating it and sending its head into another one's face, knocking it down. She then used Android 18's Deadly Dance technique, breaking zombies in half at the waist before she jumped back powered up, creating a black vortex of ki in front of her that drew in the zombies. "Oblivion Vortex!" She shouted once she created the vortex, the zombies getting drawn in like a tornado, getting vaporized when they reached tbe vortex. "Oh, yeah! That's my own technique!" She said proudly, then smirked. "But here's one I learned from a friend of mine." She said, holding her arms out to the sides, before holding them out in front of her, golden ki in her hands. "FINAL FLASH!" She shouted, vaporizing all the zombies in front of her. "Vegeta may be the prince of all Saiyans, but I'm the princess of combat." She smirked.
Aisu was also holding things down, throwing a devastating series of lightning-fast kicks breaking each zombie into a dozen pieces with the first kick they received. "Super-Ultra-Mega-Hyper-Alpha-WHATEVER!" He shouted as he executed his deadly combo of kicks, then started lashing out with his tail, breaking zombies heads open or taking their heads off at the base of the neck. He even flew in at one point and used his horns to impale one of them, then jumped back and spun to fling it off his horns and into the horde to knock a couple of them down. "Here, catch!" He said when he flung the zombie into the horde, then jumped up into the air and aimed his hand down, a ball of blue ki forming in it. "Try-hard... ATTACK!" He said, firing the Big Bang Attack into the crowd of downed zombies. He then landed as the standing zombies stumbled their way through their dead brethren and towards the Icegen, who had his index and pointer finger up to his forehead, ki now sparking from it. "Mokkensopolopolis!" He mispronounced the Japanese name as he fired the Special Beam Cannon, putting a hole through the chests of the zombies in a giant line of zombies. "Expert marksman!" He said with a thumbs up.
Cerberus was tearing through any zombie getting anywhere close to him, smacking them away with his front paws or grabbing them in the mouth of his center head and the two on the left and right rip them apart. He would also stomp the ground causing shockwaves and sending up pillars of earth to spike into zombies. Finally, when all the zombies got into a big enough group, all 3 heads spewed fire, which connected into one giant stream, both reducing the zombies to ash and once it reached a good distance, created a big explosion, roasting even more undead fleshbags. "Good boy." I said, tossing each head a milk bone the size of my arm.
On a building in the distance, Saros, Vixen and Kara were watching the situation from their vantage point, displeased at what was happening. "Dammit! At this rate, they'll blow through these zombies no sweat and pick off the others like flies!" Saros growled.
Also there was one of their older brothers, Tarkosa. He was in his 20's with short black hair, wearing a black suit with long coattails, white gloves, a white undershirt and a black tie. He simply looked unamused, looking at a pocket watch in his hand, the chains for it around his waist. "Well, they were almost overwhelmed before when they had help. It's a simple solution: we'll just send all the remaining zombies no matter where in Japan they are. Eventually, Sai and his pathetic friends will run out of steam, so even if they do kill all the zombies, we can just jump in and pick them off ourselves with ease. Besides, they've done enough damage to Japan's population, we can just swoop in and take the place over." He said simply.
Saros looked unsure, but didn't question it. "As long as you're sure." He said, doing hand signs. As he did this, all the zombies in Japan that weren't being slaughtered by us were surrounded with a dark energy and transported to our battlefield, the number of zombies jumping back from the low hundreds to a million.
"What the hell?!" Erika demanded.
"Maybe I did my math wrong, but there should be less zombies than this by now..." Aisu said.
"This isn't possible! We almost cleared the bastards out a couple seconds ago, now it's like the whole fucking population is up against us!" Damion said.
"Damn! It must be the Spear Clan. They're trying to get us to exhaust ourselves so they can just wipe us out with no risk to themselves!" I said, using my Devil Trigger.
"Fine with me. Just a couple more rotting bags of flesh to deal with!" Erika said, powering up to Super Saiyan.
"Nothing different than what we've been handling." Aisu said.
"Let's just finish this, then we'll finish those cowards." Damion said, Cerberus howling in agreement.
I rushed through the zombies, throwing all kinds of kicks and punches, breaking the zombies into pieces with each attack, then grabbed two of them by their heads and smashed them together, then I decided to stop messing around and pulled out the big guns. "THIS! IS! SPARDA!" I said, pulling out the demonic blade and slamming it down on the ground, causing a huge shockwave that sent the zombies flying and smashing head-first into either the ground, a wall or a car.
Back at the office...
"Dammit, Sai!" Dante shouted as he went to grab Sparda, but discovered it was missing.
Back to us...
Damion was working double-time, using the power of darkness to increase his own strength and the deadliness of his blade, slicing through zombies like a hot knife through butter, the same speed as when he was slicing Kohta's bullets to pieces, leaving the zombies in pieces small enough for birds to pick off. "I may have been as bad as you zombies at one point, but from now on, I dedicate my life to protecting humans from monsters like you!" He said, using darkness as he fired the gun of the katana at them to turn the bullets from regular bullets into mini grenades, blasting away crowds of the zombies at once.
Aisu heard Damion's words and smirked a bit. "That's kinda like me. Frieza and his family made our race look like monsters, so now I'm gonna do my best to show that some of us are good!" He said, rushing through the zombies, using ki to make his hands blade-like, slicing through the zombies with ease and once he was behind the crowd he was fighting, he blasted them with a Light Grenade, then spun around, using his tail to take down 3 zombies behind him that were about to attack. "Try to sneak attack ME from behind? Get that shit outta here! This is MY house!" He said.
"Less talking, more fighting!" Erika said, using Gravity Impact to push back the zombies when they got too close to her, then using All Clear to send them flying down a hill, landing on their heads, then she rushed in at the others, throwing an insanely fast combo of punches and kicks that were almost too fast to keep track, breaking the zombies into pieces with each hit, then she pulled out her katana and sliced the last couple of zombies in front of her to pieces, before vaporizing those pieces with a ki blast.
We were doing all we could, but no matter how many we destroyed, it seemed like there was 20 more to take their places. We were strong, but we weren't invincible and we were wearing down quickly. Erika and I dropped from our higher forms due to lack of energy and Damion and Aisu were also looking ready to drop. If I didn't do something soon, we would die and everything we did here would be for nothing. There was only one thing left I could do. "Everyone, listen to me. Get as far away from here as possible. At least put a mile between us." I told them.
"What are you going to do?" Damion asked me.
I looked at him with a serious face. "End this." I told him.
"Are you sure about this?" Aisu asked.
"Positive. It's the only way." I confirmed.
"Fine then. Good luck, Sai." Damion said as he grabbed Cerberus and flew off along with Aisu.
Erika came up to me and kissed me passionately, but then broke the kiss rather roughly and looked at me with a dead serious look on her face. "Promise me you'll come back to me." She said.
"I promise." I told her. She then quickly flew off and rejoined the guys. Now that it was just me, I focused on my internal flame and my remaining energy, red lightning arcing around me as I powered up. Just as the zombies got within arm's reach of me, I looked up, my eyes looking like a raging inferno. "PILLAR OF HELL!" I shouted, releasing my energy and creating a giant pillar of hellfire that completely incinerated everything within a mile radius of me and reached up all the way to the end of the atmosphere
"Whoa, that looks hot." Aisu said.
"SAI!" Erika and Damion shouted together, Cerberus howling.
After 3 minutes, the fire finally died down, revealing what had happened. The streets were completely charred black, the abandoned cars had been melted and all around me was the ash that was once the zombies. As for me, I even looked a little bit charred. I was completely exhausted and out of energy from this, dropping to my knees and then collapsing face down on the ground. The 4 Spear clan members who observed the fight walking up and stopping 5 feet away from me. "Well, the zombies are gone. Minor problem, but like I said, their numbers are down and they don't have the means to retaliate against us." Tarkosa said.
"Yeah. And the others may have escaped, but at least we can still finish off Sai. And I'm the one that gets to kill him!" Saros snapped, creating a sword of darkness and walking towards me.
"I don't think so." A voice rang out. Suddenly, two figures stepped out of the darkness. The first one, who as the one who had spoken, was my father.
The second was a man in his 20's wearing a white robe as long as my trench coat, with black lining and underneath it he wore a pitch black usurper's suit (from Soul Calibur 4), with yellow eyes and black hair that went down to his mid-back, my brother Nightshade. "As long as we stand here, you won't touch him." He said.
"Ryu. Nightshade. Surely you aren't foolish enough to take us on your own. There's 4 of us and 2 of you." Tarkosa said arrogantly.
My father simply huffed at this. "All of you barely have the power necessary to beat Sai. You stand no chance against US." He said.
"You're on Sai's league, old friend. And he's LEAGUES below us. Surely you realize YOU'RE the fools to fight against us." Nightshade told him. My dad and Nightshade both see me as relatively weak and don't see me as useful as my brother, which is what I meant earlier when I said I don't have many pillars of support. It's tough when not even your father and brother have your back.
"Enough talk. Destroy them!" Tarkosa ordered, all of them creating weapons from mid-air and sending them at my dad and Nightshade, but the latter simply brought up his hand, bringing them to a stop before they got anywhere near them.
"Employing darkness against us. A pathetic and FOOLISH strategy." Dad said, raising his right hand and firing what looked like a black kamehameha from his palm, vaporizing Saros as soon as it hit him, he then repeated the process on the other 3, destroying them before they had the chance to run or even scream.
"For once, Sai wasn't completely useless after all." Nightshade said, picking me up and carrying me under his right arm.
"Fuck.. You... Too, Nightshade..." I said weakly, to which he dropped me.
"Nightshade, give your brother SOME credit. He did save Japan, after all. I'd say that's worth a little bit of praise. Well done, Sai." He said.
"I must be more exhausted than I thought if you're actually praising me." I said.
"You're my son. I care about you, I just want you to reach your full potential, which you haven't. But, I'm sure you'll get there." He said, putting his arm around my shoulder.
"Well, this actually make it a good day." I said.
Erika then landed beside me with a smirk on her face. "And I can make it even better when we get home tonight." She said.
"So, in the end, that kamikaze move? WORTH IT!" I shouted.
