Blaine woke up in the morning feeling tired, yet well rested. Despite the fact that all of his muscles were sleep-sore, he felt much better than yesterday. He actually felt better than he did for the last five weeks, so he decided that today was the day he was finally going to go grocery-shopping. Who knows, maybe he won't just order pizza tonight.
He dressed up quickly, pulling on his favorite black hoodie and his only pair of loose-fitting jeans, together with his combat boots (he needed something to make him feel less like he was going to drift away).
The walk to the store was uneventful and so was shopping itself. Half a loaf of bread, a carton of milk, a few eggs, some cheese. He still had dry goods, so thankfully he didn't have to buy those.
He paid with cash and walked out, two plastic bags in hand, heading straight home.
A hand tapped his shoulder, and he jumped two feet in the air, before turning around and sighing. "What are you doing here?"
Kurt crossed his arms over his chest. "Grocery shopping. What are you doing here?"
"Grocery shopping," Blaine lifted the bags as a proof. That's dumb- why do you need to prove anything to him? "You stopped texting me," he mentioned in an afterthought.
"You never even replied!"
Blaine had nothing to say- Kurt was right. The tiny bit of good mood he somehow managed to maintain evaporated.
He bowed his head, staring at Kurt's squeaky clean leather boots. "I'm s-"
A brown-haired girl in a bright red coat grabbed Kurt's hand possessively, immediately beginning to talk and not letting Blaine finish his sentence. Blaine took less than half a second to realize who she was. "Kurt? Who's-" Her eyes widened at Blaine. "Blaine Anderson?" She gasped, turning to Kurt. "You're in love with Blaine Anderson?"
In love? No, no, he can't be… can he? "Rachel Berry?" Blaine spat back. "Your roommate is Rachel Berry?"
Kurt looked back and forth from Rachel to Blaine. "You know each other?"
Blaine narrowed his eyes at her. "Of course I know Rachel Berry. She's why I didn't get into NYADA."
