Kurt stared at Rachel. "What?"
She tapped her foot irately. "He was terrible, Kurt. I don't care how he sang- he had all those piercings and he smoked outside the audition room and he spoke rudely and he was dressed totally inappropriately-!"
"So you told Madam Tibideaux not to accept me to the one college I wanted," snarled Blaine.
Kurt's head was spinning- he knew Rachel managed to get somewhat close to Madam Tibideaux, but to rule out someone based on how they looked? She had to know better than that. That wasn't the Rachel he knew.
Blaine's face was angrier than Kurt had even seen it, and he'd seen Blaine fairly angry before. "Everything I ever wanted of life, Rachel Berry, and you destroyed it," his voice was low and threatening and Kurt could see what Rachel probably feared of when she made the decision to tell Madam Tibideaux to reject him. "You took everything away from me," he breathed once, shuddering. "You made me become the shit I am today. I never bothered applying to any other school, you know that? I never went to college. Still living off of that fund. I have no diploma, no job, no money, and all because of you. Because you were the little bitch that Tibideaux loved!" he yelled, breathing heavily.
Suddenly, he swallowed and his face whitened, his eyes widening and his expression turning pained as he stumbled a little- Kurt was there to catch him immediately, taking the bags and putting them down. His body was limp in Kurt's hands, head lolling to the side with his eyes still open but glazed. "Blaine? Blaine!"
Blaine mumbled something unintelligible. Kurt shook him a little, and he blinked a few times, his eyes re-focusing on Kurt's face. "F'ling sick," he muttered. Kurt guided him to kneel on the pavement, and he coughed dryly, dry heaving a few times before giving up and sitting back on his heels. Kurt touched his shoulder carefully, and glanced at Rachel who stood there perplexed. He felt terrified to his core. "Are you okay?" he whispered.
Blaine shook his head slightly, covering his face with his hands.
"Do you live far away?"
He shook his head again.
"I'll help you get home. Rachel," he looked at her over his shoulder. "I'll see you at the apartment later, okay?"
She opened her mouth, as if wanting to argue, but then nodded. "See you later," she muttered, nodded once more in farewell and walked back to the store.
Kurt turned back to Blaine, who regained a little color, and helped him stand up, supporting most of his weight. "Where's home?" he asked in a gentle voice, like he was trying to sooth a child. Blaine grimaced at him, but pointed towards the road he came from earlier.
"Alright." He picked up the bags, tightened his grip on Blaine's waist, and started walking.
