1,312 words. Uh… oops?

It's an idea I got last night at 2am, so forgive me if it's silly. Kurt is a makeup artist, and doing Blaine's makeup for Cooper's wedding. I really don't know how this stuff works, so I apologize if I got anything wrong.

It takes place in Kurt's studio, if that's unclear.

I vaguely based the makeup look on this: www*youtube*com/watch?v=XaAQKgz07jI

Make Up Your Mind

Blaine looked around him in awe as Kurt was fiddling with his kit, going through colors and foundation shades and something that Blaine thought was an eyelash curler but might've been a torture device.

"Your first time wearing makeup?" he asked calmly, fishing out his foundation brush.

"Yeah. Well, almost. I wore eyeliner once, for a performance, but not like this," said Blaine quietly.

"What brought you here today, then?" Kurt glanced at Blaine, trying to estimate what color foundation he'd need.

"A wedding," he said, not elaborating.

"Oh, congratulations!" Kurt smiled at him warmly.

"Oh, no, it's my brother's. He wanted the best man to look good in the photos," he rolled his eyes. It was mostly Sugar's idea, and Coop never argued with his beautiful fiancée, right?

"Well, it's my job make sure you will, isn't it?" He picked the right shade of foundation and squirted some of it onto the back of his hand, picking a little bit with his brush and standing up for easier access to Blaine's face.

"Um… What are you doing right now?" asked Blaine when he started applying the foundation gently.

"Foundation, to even out your skin tone and create a canvas for me to work on," he muttered absent-mindedly. "Do you have any idea of what you'd like? Obviously not too bold, if we're talking about a wedding… maybe just a little bit smoky?"

Blaine thought about it for a moment and decided he really doesn't know. "Um, whatever you think will do. I have no clue."

"Alright." Kurt finished with the foundation quickly enough, and decided to move onto eyes first. "I'm just gonna tell you what I'm doing so you can stop me if you don't like it- you can ask me and I'll give you a mirror to see what it looks like." He picked up an eye shadow primer. "Right now I'm going to apply a primer, so everything sticks into place." He screwed off the cap. "Close your eyes for me."

Blaine did, and he dabbed the primer on gently, smearing it evenly all the way up to his brows.

"Alright." He set the little tube aside and retrieved his eye shadow palette. "We're gonna start with this silvery eye shadow," he pointed to the one he'll be using. Blaine opened his eyes to look at it, and nodded. "It has a little purple in it, too, to bring out your lovely hazel eyes," he smiled gently. Blaine blushed- it was almost invisible under the foundation, but Kurt noticed nevertheless. "Close your eyes again," he hummed.

Blaine closed his eyes and lifted his face towards Kurt, and it took Kurt a moment to realize he's not even holding a brush and just a little bit staring. He shook his head to clear it and grabbed a flat shading brush from the table, dipping it in the eye shadow and placing the color carefully on Blaine's lids, making sure it's even as he goes. When he finished, he set the brush on the table and took a fluffy one, looking at his palette and deciding on a reddish brown for the crease. "Now I'm going to add a darker color to your crease, to make it seem deeper." Blaine nodded, and he worked the color onto Blaine's skin. Next he grabbed a pencil brush. "Alright, now a dark brown on the inner and outer corners of the eye." Blaine nodded again, and Kurt let his mind run free while working in practiced movements. He didn't get to work with men very often, and almost never with men… well, men this gorgeous. Blaine was practically model-material.

He snapped back to attention when he realized eyeliner was next. Practiced as he was, eyeliner always required a lot of concentration.

"Now I'm going to add eyeliner," he murmured as he picked his favorite pencil from the pile on the table. A very dark purple one- purple enough to give a little pop of color and a little more enhancement to Blaine's beautiful hazel eyes, but dark enough to it won't be too funky for a wedding. He was going for a thin, yet a bit smudged line, on both top and bottom lashlines, achieved quickly and effectively with the pencil and an eye shadow with the same color on top of it.

Kurt gave the final result another look before setting down the eye shadow palette and getting his concealer palette. "That's it for the eyes; no need for mascara, it'll make you uncomfortable and your eyelashes are great without it. Now I'm moving on to concealer- look up for me," he said calmly, humming to himself as he mixed two of the color for just the right shade with a clean fluffy brush, and started applying it under Blaine's eyes. He really didn't have too much to cover, but Kurt thought it just made everything look cleaner.

"Okay," Kurt smiled at Blaine hesitant face, putting away his eye products. "Wanna see how it looks so far?"

Blaine nodded. "Yeah."

Kurt handed him a mirror, and he looked at himself for a minute before nodding again. "Good?"

"Yeah, yeah, it looks cool."

Kurt's smile grew bigger. "Awesome. Now just some blush and highlighter, and something for the lips, as well, if you'd like." He bit his tongue, and then spoke his mind anyway. "Not that you need something for your lips, if you're asking me. They look, um, wonderful just like this." He fiddled with his blush palette for a moment before looking up at Blaine, who grinned shyly. "Thank you. Um, yeah, I don't think I want anything on my lips, it's usually pretty uncomfortable."

Kurt nodded, and picked up the blush he wanted to use- a natural light pink- and a brush. Blaine was looking at him while he was patting the blush on, and it was quite distracting, to have those big, gorgeous hazel eyes staring at you. He tried not to make Blaine look like a clown, and finished as quickly as he could before making a mess. "Highlighter," he murmured while searching for his favorite one, and began applying it with his fingers. Blaine's skin was warm under his fingertips, and he avoided his gaze the best he could.

Kurt made sure everything looked perfect one last time- everything was even, no harsh lines- and set aside the highlighter. "There we go. All done," and then he made the mistake of looking into Blaine's burning gaze. He froze at the sight of this lovely young man, looking at him with a coy grin, eyes stunningly highlighted with a gentle tint of purple and cheeks glowing with pink blush and lips… delicious looking lips with absolutely nothing on them.

He swallowed. "Wanna see how it looks?" he said lamely.

Blaine beamed at him, accepting the mirror from his shaky hands and looking at himself, intrigued. "Wow," he gasped. "It looks great! Thank you."

And the rest was a blur, Blaine giving him the check and thanking him again and him giving Blaine some tips about styling his hair, and then Blaine was about to leave and Kurt gripped his wrist. "Wait," he breathed, heart beating fast. "I… Um… Well, I'd give you my number but you already have it, so… Can we… talk, sometime? Maybe go out for coffee? God, it's probably really inappropriate to ask-"

"No, no, it's cool," Blaine assured him. "I'd love that. I'll give you a call," he smiled. "I have to go now," he added, "but I'll talk to you soon. Promise."

Kurt bit his lip, smiling. "Great. Have fun at the wedding."

"Um, Kurt? You're still kinda holding my hand."

"Oh!" he jumped, pulling his hand away. "Sorry."

Blaine just smiled. "Goodbye."

"Goodbye."

After he's closed the door behind him, Kurt was left smiling impishly.

He muttered "yes!" and fist-bumped the air.
