A prompt from Sofia Michelle (thank you, lovely)- vampire!Blaine :D

No blood or anything, just some mentions of Blaine being beat up at the Sadie Hawkins dance.

Frown Lines

"No you're not" was Kurt's first response. He crossed his arms over his chest and said, staring into Blaine's eyes unblinkingly, "Show me, then."

Blaine felt some sort of strange relief- Kurt didn't scream or faint, after all. But then again, it was Kurt.

He opened his mouth, almost smiling at Kurt, and willed his fangs to lengthen. He heard Kurt's heart speed up, and he swallowed.

"How did you do that?"

Blaine closed his mouth while his fangs shrank back, not answering, letting Kurt digest the news. He could practically see the wheels in Kurt's brain turning as he stared intensely into Blaine's eyes, frowning.

"You'll get frown lines," said Blaine lightheartedly- and almost slapped himself as soon as he said it. Great move, Anderson, that's so related to the topic and will also make him feel so much better since you can't get frown lines.

But Kurt just rolled his eyes and swatted Blaine's chest with the back of his hand. "Shut up, dumbass." He stepped a little closer to Blaine, and it made Blaine feel better. "A vampire." He shook his head. "My boyfriend is a vampire." He looked into Blaine's eyes again, as if he was expecting to be hypnotized by them. But they were just the dull hazel they'd always been.

Blaine bit his tongue before asking, "Can I hold your hand?"

Kurt frowned again. "Yes, of course."

He took his hand with a huge relief, squeezing it. "You can ask anything you want to."

Kurt thought about it for a second, and asked, "Have you ever killed anyone?"

Blaine knew it would be the first question, but he didn't expect Kurt's heart rate to slow down, back to normal again. He seemed calm. "Um… Yes. Two people. The first one right after I was turned- I didn't realize how to… control stuff yet. But I'm great at it now!" he exclaimed quickly. Kurt nodded, undisturbed. "The other one… I'm not proud of it. It was revengeful and ugly. I didn't kill him for his blood; I killed him so he'd pay for what he's done to me. When I told you about those guys who beat me up at school, I wasn't lying. It just happened a decade before the date I told you. And he… he was one of them, and I wanted him to pay."

"Oh, Blaine," he gripped harder on Blaine's hand, and brought a hand to stroke Blaine's cheek. "I'm so sorry."

Was Kurt comforting him? How did that make any sense?! That boy, he was something Blaine's never seen.

"I'm alright now. I don't let it bother me anymore."

Kurt nodded, removed his hand. "Can we go sit on the couch?"

Was shock kicking in? Blaine didn't want to take a chance, and led the way to the couch. Kurt sat down, but he didn't- instead, he tried to listen again for Kurt's pulse- it still seemed steady. "Do you want me to get you some water?"

Kurt opened his mouth to reply, but Blaine already disappeared into the kitchen, returning moments later with a glass of water, which he handed to Kurt. Kurt rolled his eyes again as Blaine sat down next to him- chastely distant- and looked at him. He sighed, and quickly gulped down the water, setting the empty glass on the coffee table.

"Okay, that was unnecessary. I asked to sit down, I didn't faint."

Blaine shrugged. "Do you want to ask anything else?" he murmured after a moment.

"Mmhmm. You said that school dance happened a decade before what you told me…"

"Yeah, yeah. Eleven years, actually. I'm twenty nine," Blaine smiled coyly.

"Wow, isn't that really young?" Kurt's hand slowly found Blaine's again, and he intertwined their fingers.

"I guess."

It was silent for a few seconds, until Kurt thought of another question.

"So how did you even get turned into a vampire?"

Blaine inched closer to Kurt, daring to put his free hand on Kurt's arm, his thumb moving back and forth on the skin of his wrist. "It was that Sadie Hawkins dance. After those guys left, I was dying. The guy who was with me didn't make it, but my parents… they got to me on time, and they knew this vampire," he closed his eyes.

"Oh."

"Yeah. They took me to him- he owed them a favor- and asked him to turn me so I won't die," he opened his eyes and smiled gently. Kurt smiled back. "And I didn't die. Well, sort of."

Kurt apparently deemed that his head next to Blaine's neck was better than Blaine's head next to his own neck, and laid his head on Blaine's shoulder, their intertwined hands in his lap.

"Do you really not care I'm a vampire?"

"Blaine." Kurt lifted his head to look Blaine right in the eye. "I thought I told you this before. You and I? We're meant to be together. There's not a thing in this world, not a person, alive or otherwise, that can touch us, or what we have. I wouldn't have cared if you told me you're part dragon and can blow fire from your nose."

Blaine giggled. "I love you."

Kurt laid his head back on Blaine's shoulder. "I love you, too."

They sat in comfortable silence, listening to each other breathe.

"Wait," said Kurt suddenly. "Do you sleep?"

"Nope."

"So all those sleepovers…" he said in an accusing tone.

"Watching you sleep? Yes. You don't talk in your sleep, though, or anything embarrassing of the like. I'm quite disappointed, actually."

Kurt hit his arm, but then nuzzled his neck and said lovingly, "You're such a creep."
