Hi Claire! First of school, eh? Sucks, man. Well, the least I can do is write a school-related drabble to cheer you up, right?
So this is dedicated to you, my dear Clair, as well as to everyone who's starting this new school year, to those who have already went back to school, and to those who will.
Good luck, and have a lovely new year!
Not Alone
College.
Why is college so scary to Blaine? He's been to three different high schools, and survived (kind of). This should be a piece of cake.
Well, he knows nothing like what happened in high school will happen again. It's New York- same sex marriage is actually legal here. He's not worried about that.
What is he worried about, then?
He cares about fitting in, of course, making new friends and meeting new people. But he knows that's not a problem for him. It's never a problem for someone who genuinely tries, really. He's told Kurt that a million times.
He's apprehensive about classes. He's always been a good student, but college isn't high school in that matter, either. College is hard. But everyone's already let him know the only reason he's stupid is that he thinks he'll actually flunk any of his classes.
On the first day, he wakes up feeling sick and he has a headache and his hair won't stay in place and he forgot to charge him phone last night and he doesn't have the time to make himself coffee so all he has for breakfast are a few sips from Kurt's coffee and his backpack weighs a ton for some reason and it's hurting his shoulder and the first class he has is history of theatre and what if it's boring and he hates it and everything is going to suck-
Kurt's hand wraps around his waist and suddenly he remembers he's not alone.
And he smiles.
Okay how is it possible that I don't yet have a drabble titled "Not Alone"?
Well, now I do.
(Alright, alright, tomorrow's early!Klaine. You can relax now.
As for #250, no spoilers- I don't mind them, but surely some readers do. I'm thinking of combining the two engagement ideas from Nikkiklaine and luislealq, though :D )
