Lindsey hangs up with Lucy. She needs to see this ship for herself. She needs to test this ship in open waters…
Chapter 17: After Hours
Bianca closes my dressing room door and locks it.
"Let's get you out of that Ball gown," she says with a gravelly tone causing my legs to weaken.
I breathe deeply as she slowly pulls the zipper down being sure I feel her warm breath against my skin. Her hands help me slip my arms out of the material letting it fall to the floor. Her body presses against my practically nude figure tracing her fingers delicately across my belly pulling me back into her. Her lips graze the side of my neck rousing unhurriedly to nibble gently on my earlobe. I lay my hand against my hair guiding it over my shoulder out of the way of her soft kisses.
She whispers huskily against my ear, "Baby, if we're going out with everyone then we need to get a move on."
Her kisses find my neck. Her teeth find my skin tugging on it with the gentleness of a summer's breeze…
"How am I supposed to get moving with your mouth attached to my neck?"
She squeezes me tight and takes a pretend bite out of my shoulder. We laugh as I turn to her wrapping my arms over hers clasping my wrist with one of my hands to keep her close. Our laughter subsides. Our breathing evens. Our eyes connect.
"B, I'm so glad you did what you did. I was thinking about you all day. And then I hear your voice calling my name. I will never forget that moment ever. I love you Bianca Lawson and I don't care who knows."
Kiss.
"I'm glad it's out there. I feel…I feel relieved. And I, too, want everyone to know that I love you Shay Mitchell."
Our lips slowly reach for one another's until they meet taking their time to satisfy their addiction...
Once I'm dressed with what I wore to set, Bianca and I head back to my place in my car. She had her bags sent to my house so they'll be there when we arrive.
I help her bring her things inside and upstairs to the guest bedroom where she keeps her stuff. We keep her belongings in here so we don't trip over each other getting ready. We shower separately otherwise we'd never make it out of the house and Bianca's right, we need to show up. We need to make our announcement count for something…
I sit at my vanity applying my makeup wearing a black lace push up bra and black lace low rise hip hugger panties. Bianca enters my room wearing her short silky robe with the tie hanging at her sides exposing her slender tight body clothed in just a black satiny bra and black satiny panties to match. Her hands gently massage my shoulders working down my biceps and back up again. She kisses the top of my head and kneels down beside me…
Her hand reaches for the side of my knee turning my body to her. She stays kneeling as my legs naturally part. Both of her hands rest on top of my legs until she slides them to my inner thighs stroking me ever so softly and tenderly. Her touch makes me shiver and my breathing begins to change. I cup her face in my hands and ask,
"B, what is it?"
"Nothing. I was watching from the doorway for a few seconds and I just needed to touch you. I needed to know this is real."
"Oh B, I've dated a few guys and I couldn't figure out why I wasn't as into them as they were into me. That wasn't real. This, you and me, this is real."
I give her a delicate kiss on the lips. And while her hands continue their journey around my thighs my hands fall back keeping me upright on the vanity stool. She wraps her arms around my lap…
"And you know that for a fact," she says resting her cheek against my legs holding them close to her.
I bring my arms forward caressing from the side of her face with the back of my hand to her hair smoothing it over as we talk.
"I was looking around and you were here the whole time. It was you not them I loved," I explain why my heart wasn't into my past loves.
"We did the right thing by telling everyone, right?" she says needing my reassurance which surprises me.
"I was miserable not being able to tell anyone. It was fun at first but it started weighting heavy on me," I confess.
Her face nuzzles into me, inhaling my floral scent, soothing, cleansing, consoling, "I didn't want it to feel heavy anymore. And I just did it. It just came out. And it feels…it feels really good." She kisses my thigh.
"B, I feel your love when you're not near. That's what was helping me through that scene just knowing that you care, just the thought of you helped me carry on. There are even times I feel like all hope is gone so I think of you and hope fills my heart enabling me to see the world with brand new eyes. Your love has made me realize my future looks really bright to me, to us," I keep smoothing her hair.
I feel wetness where her cheek lies. I carefully lift her chin to look at me. Her arms unravel from beneath my legs and I look into her big beautiful liquid pools.
"You are my friend. You are my confidant. You are my love. You are my soul," I affectionately avow.
We gaze into each other's eyes. I lower my head to hers. We kiss. We kiss devotedly, deepening our love with every touch of our lips.
She wipes away the tears that have fallen from her pools, "It was a moment where everyone was watching but I was only seeing you. It had to be at that moment. I needed you to be surrounded by your circle of friends, whoa, now my friends?"
We giggle softly.
"Shay, some people wait whole lifetimes to find the one they're supposed to love. But it's happening to us right now and I'm going to cherish this moment, this love, this lifetime with you."
My eyes widen as I make a breathless sigh kissing her longingly, lovingly, cherishing every beautiful word we just exchanged with one another…
After hours with the cast and crew…
We arrive a bit late to the cocktail club. We needed to say those things to avoid an emotional outpouring in front of my, our friends. Bianca takes my hand in hers. We both take in a breath. We look at each other knowing we will be there for one another no matter what anyone might say to us. All eyes follow Bianca and I as we enter the club. I thought I would feel nervous but instead I feel confident to withstand any whispers or looks because she is by my side. My black dress is short, my low neckline exposes my cleavage, my heels are high and my look is self-assured. I hold on tightly looking away from the crowd of eyes to scan my beautiful Bianca. Her eyes are stunning, her makeup perfection, her hair straight as a pin, her bottom lip full and determined. Her royal blue dress rests just above her knee, high black heels so I don't need to bend so far to kiss her. The neckline is conservative but I'm glad. I don't want to share what I know is under there with anyone. We walk down the steps into the bar area ready to eat, drink and be happy together and be happy with our friends.
Everyone comes over to us wishing us well and being supportive of our choice to be with one another. Bianca and I trickle into a group with Troian and her boyfriend, Ashley, Laura and her husband and Lucy when I see Lindsey approaching. I find myself willing Lucy and Laura's husband to close the circle. And the words keep repeating in my head, "Close the circle! Close the circle! Will someone please close the damn circle!" Too late Lindsey slips into the open space.
"Hey everybody what's going on?" she asks. Really?
Bianca and I give each other a look that doesn't go unnoticed because we sort of laugh a little too.
"Is that a private joke or can you share?" Lindsey challenges.
As I'm about to respond, someone behind us clears their throat. It's Marlene.
"I'm so glad you two could make it and you both look stunning for reals," she says quite nicely, quite genuinely in fact and so Marlene.
"We wanted to be here. And thank you for including me," Bianca replies in her teenager voice so sweet and innocent. MmmHmm.
"Do you all mind if I steal Bianca and Shay away for a few minutes?" Marlene asks with her surprisingly feminine voice.
She finds a nice quiet table for us to chat. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with this but Bianca seems not to mind.
"I owe the two of you an apology. I'm sorry I put your personal lives ahead of your professional ones."
Bianca and I sit in silence shocked at what's happening.
"What you did today, Bianca, took so much courage and conviction. I have a newfound respect and admiration for you."
"Thank you for saying that Marlene. I really appreciate it," Bianca says so maturely. I wish I could be that mature about it.
"I honestly thought your relationship would get in the way of the storyline. So I had to make a difficult decision. Shay you were amazing in that last scene but Bianca, I think you trumped our emotional ending," she chuckles.
I look at Bianca and she takes my hand smiling.
"So this is what I have to say to you. I don't think Emaya is through. I don't know if Maya will be dead for reals but I do know that we need to explain her recent behavior. That's why I want you to come back for season 3A."
"Marlene, are you for reals right now?" I can't resist mocking her.
"Yes Shay, I'm for reals," she delights in the banter.
We all share a laugh because those are Marlene's two favorite words. She uses them in twitter a lot. Maybe too much. LOL. Just kidding. Anyway, I give Bianca my answer with an excited expression all over my face.
"I would love that. Thank you, Marlene. I really do love this show and playing Maya but mostly I love this one right here sitting next to me," she winks. I swoon.
And while we continue having a really nice conversation, I see out of the corner of my eye, Lucy approaching Lindsey who is looking like she's carefully analyzing what's going on between Marlene, Bianca and I but why…
Narrator POV
"Lindsey, are you okay? Why'd you leave?" Lucy asks already knowing the answer but needing to hear it from Lindsey.
"I just can't get over the fact that Bianca did that out in the open for everyone to see," she says more with admiration than disdain.
"I don't think she planned it. It seemed spontaneous to me," Lucy offers her opinion.
"She was ballsy just like Maya. Bianca went after what she wanted and got it," Lindsey applauds.
"Sooo."
"So, I want what she has," Lindsey says matter of fact.
"But you can't have her. Shay's in love with Bianca. I've never seen her this happy ever and that's because she was keeping her feelings to herself. Lindsey, she doesn't have to hide anymore. That must be a huge weight off her shoulders, off both of their shoulders," Lucy feels for the predicament Shay has been in for so long.
"Keeping her feelings to herself…"
"Lindsey, I'm sure you and Shay can be friends just not those kind of friends," she caresses her arm feeling bad that she suggested Shay would play.
"So that's it? I missed my chance?"
"That's it. Let it go. I'm hungry. And you look like you could use a drink."
"You go on ahead. I'll just be a minute."
"Okay, I'll see ya'll in a few," she says suddenly countrified.
Lucy gives Lindsey a hug and an 'I'm sorry' smile before going back to mingle with everyone. She's left alone going over and over all the times she shared with Shay and one thing keeps popping into her head, "Keeping her feelings to herself." She knows what she needs to do but before she can do it someone calls over to her.
"Lindsey I need you to really think about something."
Marlene approaches her from the side taking her away from her thoughts.
"What are you talking about Marlene?"
"Do you see Bianca and Shay over there laughing and smiling and kissing and holding hands and looking at each other the way two people in love look at each other? Do you see?" she demands more than she asks.
"I don't understand. See what?" Lindsey sounds perturbed.
"I need you to pay attention to Bianca. Because I need you to figure out what Bianca does to get those reactions out of Shay on screen. If you can't do that then Paily might as well be over before it even begins," Marlene states quite seriously.
"What? No, don't give up on Paily. I'll figure it out. I'll watch Emaya scenes from season one and season two over and over and over until I figure it out," she decides even though it will be torturous for her.
"Good. I'm glad to hear that."
"So, are you and Bianca and Shay better now?"
"Yes. I said what needed to be said and I meant it. Bianca is a very talented actor who can get her co-stars to react in ways other co-stars can't. It's a gift."
"And I don't have that gift."
"You'll get there Lindsey. Bianca, well, Bianca has been in the industry a long time so she has a lot of experience. And she's been incredibly respectable throughout this whole thing so I've asked her back for season 3."
"You what?" Lindsey asks shocked by this revelation.
"To explain Maya's sudden change in behavior. But don't worry. Paige will be there to help Emily rebuild her life and her emotions."
Lindsey smiles not even trying to hide how happy she is after hearing Marlene say that.
"Lindsey, let them be. You are an actor. Use what you see in Bianca to help your acting. Be careful with anything else. I won't tolerate it."
She gives Marlene an 'I get it' look but she's really thinking 'I'll get her' and asks, "Is Maya really dead?"
Marlene started to walk away but she stops and turns her head towards Lindsey to say, "Does anyone ever really die in Rosewood?"
