CHAPTER 16 LEGENDARY THREE
Naruto stood outside the hotel, him and the old man had stayed the night before waiting for him to get done talking with the manager about the damages. He watched through the door as the young girl at the desk watched on and giggled as Jiraiya was getting yelled at. She glanced over at Naruto and gave a friendly wave causing him to blush a little but forced it down as he gave her a simple nod.
'The hell is wrong with me I shouldn't be acting like this?' Naruto thought to himself
"You got someone else on your mind" came Kurama's voice
'No idea what you're talking about fox.' Naruto replied
"Oh come on you know she has been on your mind since you took down the demon brothers. Which by the way wasn't an accurate name for them." Kurama said.
'I have no idea who you're talking about fox.' Naruto replied defensively
"Oh you can play emotionally controlled hard ass with everyone else but I can see into your soul and mind and she has been in on it since you saw her. and it is honestly getting annoying watching you suppress those feelings and then they pop up randomly. Really cutting into my nap time." Kurama said as Jiraiya walked up to them.
"Well fortunately I worked out a deal with the manager and he will let me go as long as I come back and fix it." Jiraiya said
"Good let's get going then." Naruto said in an irritated voice as he turns and walks down the road.
'Geez what got into him?' Jiraiya wondered as he followed behind the blonde
It took Naruto and Jiraiya the whole day to reach their destination.
"Damn old man can you move any slower?" Naruto complained "wait don't answer that." He sighed
"Haven't you ever heard of respecting your elders." Jiraiya shot back
"Well most the elders I knew tried to kill me when I was younger, so no." Naruto said
"Whatever let's just find something to eat then find a hotel we can start looking Tsunade in the morning." Jiraiya said
"I'll agree on the chow but I am gonna hit up my contacts before I go to the hotel and we are getting different rooms this time you snore like nails on a chalkboard." Naruto replied as they walked toward a bar "And you're paying for dinner since you're the reason we're late and will have to pay the late rates."
"Oh come on that ain't fair" Jiraiya whined
"Hey if it wasn't for you I would probably have hit up my contacts by now and been on my way to finding her already" Naruto said as he walked into the bar.
"Fine whatever." Jiraiya sighs as he looks for a place to sit then his eyes widen as he spots someone across the room. "I don't believe it." He says so quite Naruto almost doesn't catch it.
"What?" Naruto asked looking over in the direction Jiraiya was looking and saw two women one with short brown hair and wearing a kimono and the other was a blond with diamond on her forehead and huge tits.
"That's her, Tsunade." Jiraiya said as he started to walk toward her as Naruto followed him
"So what are you going to do about his offer Lady Tsunade?" the younger brunette asked but got no response from the blonde "Lady Tsunade this is a big deal I need to know what…" she began but was cut off by two people walking up to the booth
"Well well what do we have here?" came Jiraiya's voice as the two looked up and saw an older guy with white hair and a young blonde kid with bright blue eyes.
"Lord Jiraiya!?" the brunette said in shock
"Hey there Shizune." Jiraiya said as he slide into the other side of the booth along with Naruto
"What do you want you old perv?" Tsunade said in an angry tone as she took another drink then looked at Naruto. "And who is the squirt? Some illegitimate child from your escapades?"
"I take offense to that, if this old fuck was my dad I would of tossed myself off the nearest cliff a while ago." Naruto said getting a chuckle from his fellow blonde
"Then who are you kid." Tsunade asks
"They call me Fox." Naruto said
"Fox huh? That is an odd name." Tsunade says
"Yeah you could say that." Naruto said with a smirk.
"So why are you here perv?" Tsunade says looking at Jiraiya
"What can't an old friend just spend time with another?" Jiraiya said
"Never when it comes to you." Tsunade said staring him down
"We were sent here to bring you back to the leaf to be the new Hokage." Naruto sighed as he looked at her getting her to narrow her eyes at Jiraiya
"Oh really why would they want to do a thing like that. If you were sent from there why wouldn't they appoint you as the Hokage?" Tsunade said
"Really? Could you even fathom the horrors that this guy would put into law the bath houses would never be safe." Naruto shot at her
"Hahahha" Tsunade laughed "well you got a point there, but sorry I will decline."
"Well you accepting or declining isn't really my concern." Naruto said looking at her as she cocked her eyebrow
"And what 'is' your concern?" Tsunade asked
"Bringing you back to the leaf alive so I can get paid." Naruto said "that is my concern cause that is what I am"
"And what exactly are you?" Tsunade asked
"Simple, thought you'd of figured it out" he said with a grin "a bounty hunter." With a shrugged
"You hired a bounty hunter to take me back, and on top of that he is a kid?" Tsunade said with a laugh
"Oh shut it sugar tits." Naruto said getting annoyed causing both Jiraiya and Shizuna's drop their jaws in a petrified face "Let me guess you were flat as a wash board as a kid and got stuck with this old perv as a teammate so you received endless shit about it so you came up with some Jutsu to make your tits bigger. Cause no way in hell those are real." He said pointing at her chest
Jiraiya just stared in horror at his partner, while Tsunade just had a look of absolute rage on her face.
"That's it kid we're taking this outside." Tsunade said as she stormed off out of the building
"Great it was nice knowing you kid." Jiraiya said placing a hand on Naruto's shoulder
Naruto walked out of the bar into an empty street where Tsunade waited for him with a scowl.
"So what do you have to say for yourself brat?" Tsunade yells
"Not much." Naruto replies "I just got one question."
"I guess I can give a dead man one last question." Tsunade smirks
"Why do you hate the village so much?" Naruto asks getting a sad look as a response "I mean I got plenty myself but you are one of the great Sanin their pride and joy. Why would you turn your back on a place that you can call home and that would welcome you with open arms?"
"The village cost me those I hold dear." Tsunade almost whispered
"In what way did the village straight up kill them?" Naruto asked
"No they were killed in the line of duty as shinobi." Tsunade replied tears almost coming to her eyes.
"Then what's the problem if they died on the battlefield can't hold it against the village that's how war is." Naruto replied
"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT ITS LIKE TO LOSE YOUR BROTHER AND THE ONE YOU LOVE ALL IN THE NAME OF THE VILLAGE!" Tsunade yelled
"Nope can't say I have." Naruto replied with shrug and an uninterested look on his face
"Then you would never know." Tsunade said
"Never had any sort of family or friends for that matter in the village maybe if I had I wouldn't have been run out of it." Naruto sighs "but if I had any of those I wouldn't disgrace their names by turning my back on what they believed in." Naruto said in an angry tone getting Tsunade to look up at him in shock
"What did you say?" she said grinding her teeth
"I said you disgrace them by turning back on what they believed in, well unless they believed in gambling and drinking your life away then have at it." Naruto shot back "but I'm guessing no I'm guessing they truly believed in the village and when you saw someone you cared about fall while doing something they believed in you ran. Dragging their honor through the mud as you…" Naruto was cut off as Tsunade's fist connected with his face launching him into the wall of the nearest building.
"SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP" Tsunade yelled at him with tears in her eyes and getting a look of horror from Jiraiya at seeing Naruto being launched into a wall with all of Tsunade's force.
"Sorry but it's not in my nature." Comes Naruto's voice from inside the building. Getting a look of shock from Tsunade and Shizune as they see him climb out of the hole he had created and resting himself on its edge. They saw his facial bones where broken in several places and his nose was nearly flattened. But it began repairing itself in front of their eyes "well obviously you are in no mood to talk. So I'll give you a week to calm down and think about what I said and then we will do things the easy way or the hard way." he says as he jumps the rest of the way out of the hole and begins to walk away. "Come on old man let the old hag brewed for a while." He calls out.
"Well guess we will see each other around then." Jiraiya says looking at Tsunade catching the pain in her eyes as he turns and walks away to follow Naruto.
When Jiraiya finally catches up to Naruto and asks "the hell was that all about?"
"What was what all about?" Naruto asks
"That whole scenario from when we were in the bar till she hit you." Jiraiya asks
"Well I pissed her off to get her outside. Then I pulled at her heart strings to see what made her tick. Then I let her hit me to test her strength, and even with the fox's healing ability I think my face maybe fucked up just a little bit forever." Naruto explained
"So that was all just a test?" Jiraiya asked
"Well yeah but also to maybe get her to see things differently and maybe come with us of her own will. Cause I honestly don't want to tussle with that." Naruto said
"And about the whole honoring those you cared for thing. You know your parents loved the village, aren't you doing exactly what you were telling Tsunade not to do?" Jiraiya asked
"No not really. My parents may have loved the village but they loved me more and wouldn't of wanted me to grow up the with the way those villagers treated me. They would of wanted me to grow up strong and I wouldn't have been able to do that in the village cause of those that only saw me as the demon. So living my life the way I see fit and enjoying it is the best way to honor them, unlike Tsunade who is just punishing herself and using them as an excuse to do so." Naruto explained
"Wow you've put a lot of thought into this haven't you." Jiraiya says
"You could say that." Naruto replies as they reach the hotel "and we are getting different rooms this time" he says as he walks up to the counter to get a room.
A week had passed since Naruto's encounter with Tsunade and he was ready to finish this job.
"Yo old perv you awake yet?" Naruto called from outside his door
"Why don't you go in and check on him?" Kuza asked
"Hey I learned my lesson on that one with Zabuza and Mei, and no way I could repress the image of the old perv with a chick, no matter how hard I tried." Naruto replies with a shiver when he hears something crash to the ground in the hotel room "nope still not going in, remember last time" Naruto mumbled to himself when the door finally slide open to reveal what looked like a hung over Jiraiya, as Naruto let out a sigh of relief.
"God you look like a bag off ass." Naruto chuckled "what had one to many or are you just becoming a light weight in your old age?"
"Shut up I think Tsunade slipped something into my drink last night." Jiraiya defended
"And how did she manage to do that?" Naruto asked
"Must of done it last night when I had a drink with her." Jiraiya replied causing Naruto to face palm
"Seriously that is like bounty hunting one oh one, never have drink with your target, especially when they know you are after them." Naruto replied shaking his head
"Well I thought I could talk some sense into her." Jiraiya defended
"And I can obviously see where that lead she could have taken off by now thinking you will slow me down like this." Naruto said as he turned around to leave followed by Jiraiya.
Naruto runs down the streets headed toward where they were supposed to meet Tsunade but only find a frantic Shizuna holding a pig.
"Hey Shizuna where is Tsunade?" Jiraiya stated more than asked
"I I don't know she wasn't at the hotel this morning when I woke up." Shizuna said
"Any idea where she could have gone?" Jiraiya asked
"Only one, but she wouldn't she couldn't even be thinking about making the deal." She said the last part under her breath where only Naruto heard it.
"What deal?" Naruto asked causing Shizuna to gasp in shock that she let that slip "what deal?" he asked again
"Before you two arrived Orochimaru came to us and asked her to heal his arms apparently they were severely damaged." Shizuna started "he offered to bring back her brother and fiancé if she did."
"How is that even possible?" Naruto asked looking at Jiraiya
"A forbidden technique. This is bad we need to get to her before she can make that deal." Jiraiya said then turned to Shizuna and asked "where were you supposed to meet him for this deal?"
"Over at the castle." Shizuna said as both Naruto and Jiraiya took off followed shortly after by Shizuna
Over at the castle Tsunade was on her knees in in a trance like state covered in blood while Kabuto stood over her with a smile.
"Pathetic the greatest medical mind in the world reduced to this by the mere sight of a little blood, and to think I used to look up to you." Kabuto said as he raised his kunai to strike down on her. but before it could make contact something grabbed his wrist. He looked over and saw a boy with blond hair and blue eyes wearing a black flak jacket with no sleeves and two swords on his back holding his weapon back.
"You know it isn't very polite to kill someone else's bounty." Naruto said shaking his head.
"I wasn't going to kill her just make it so she couldn't get away." Kabuto replied
"Well like I said she is my bounty so she is coming with me." Naruto said as Jiraiya and Shizuna appeared as well causing Kabuto to jump back to his master
"Fox leave Orochimaru to me you deal with his associate." Jiraiya said
"What you think this little runt can stand up against me? Lord Orochimaru's best man." Kabuto boasted.
"Wow best pee on must be very hard to gain that rank." Naruto said sarcastically making Kabuto angry
"Kabuto not now do the summoning." Orochimaru orders and just received a nod from the white haired boy and bit his thumb and slide it down each of Orochimaru's arms and two giant plumes of smoke erupted and two giant snakes burst from the smoke.
"Alrigth two can play this game" Jiraiya said as he bit his thumb and went through some hand seals and slammed his palm on the ground but only a small toad came from the cloud of smoke.
"GAMAKICHI?! What the hell are you doing here where is your old man?" Jiraiya yelled
"Sorry but pops is busy right now so I came along to see what was up." Gamakichi said
"Ha that's impressive." Naruto laughed
"Hey old man who is this guy?" Gamakichi asked
"That is Fox he is a bounty hunter I hired to help me track down Tsunade." Jiraiya said
"Well since we are doing summons I don't want to be left out." Naruto said as he bit his thumb and went through the hand signs "Summoning Jutsu!" Naruto called out as two puffs of smoke erupted around him and two giant brown foxes flanked him on either side each with six tails.
"You called for us Lord Naruto." The fox on his right said
At hearing this Tsunade broke out of her trance like state 'no it couldn't be?' she said to herself as she looked at Naruto again and began to see the resemblance 'why didn't I see it before?'
"Damn't Zuma how many times do I have to say it don't call me that." Naruto said
"Sorry brother now what do you need us for?" Zuma asked
Need help with a little snake problem." Naruto said
"No problem." Zuma replied "Kuma lets deal with these snakes."
"Yes brother." Kuma replied as they both dashed toward the snakes
"Ah Naruto so you finally come out of hiding?" Orochimaru gave an evil chuckle getting a snarl from Naruto, as the fox and snakes did battle.
"You know him my lord?" Kabuto asked
"He is the container of the nine tailed demon." Orochimaru explained "he was part of the village until the towns people chased him off, I searched for him myself to see if I could gain some of the demons power for myself but alas he was gone for good." Orochimaru sighed as one of his snakes was killed by the fox
"Yeah good thing don't even want to think of what would of happened if you got your pedophilic hands on me." Came Naruto's voice as the two sound ninja looked up and saw Naruto lunging through the air holding what appeared to be a black sphere in his hands. They both jumped just before he made contact with them and hit the snakes head completely obliterating it. The Snake slumped to the ground with no head and erupted into a puff of smoke vanishing. "well guess there's no more reason to hide these then." Naruto said landing on the ground as he closed his eyes and reopened them revealing the slit eyes of the demon.
"Kukuku that is an impressive jutsu you have there Fox brat." Orochimaru praises "to kill one of my giant snakes in one hit impressive indeed."
"Keep your praise for someone who wants it." Naruto shot back as he lunged toward the two ninja splitting them apart with a swing of his swords. Naruto shot after Kabuto while Jiraiya shot after Orochimaru.
Naruto was swinging his duel swords while Kabuto parried and dodged his attacks as fast as he could. That was when he got an idea and shot straight for Tsunade.
"Well since she is the only reason you're here if I get rid of her you have no reason to fight." Kabuto yelled as he brought his kunai for a stab at Tsunade who was still in a bit of shock from figuring out who Naruto was. Her eyes bulged then clamped shut as she saw the kunai coming for her but it never came. She opened her eyes and saw Naruto standing in front of her with the kunai in his gut just below his body armor. He then punched Kabuto in the face hurling him back embedding him into a rock. But just before he was launched he put his hand on Naruto's chest and severed an artery and cut him off from the fox.
"Worthless ass body armor!" Naruto yells as he slumps down to the ground and falls on to his back. At seeing this Tsunade jumps to her feet and over to him and begins to check him over and realizes his artery is severed, and she begins to heal it immediately.
"Don't bother I completely severed it with my scalpel jutsu and his link to the fox so it can't help him out either." Kabut laughed as he got up and his face began to heal itself.
'God even with my healing jutsu I can't get back to full health.' Kabuto thought as he dropped to a knee.
'Damn't I gotta save him.' Tsunade thought as she poured everything into healing him. She then tapped into her resurrection seal and used it to heal him as well just when she thought it was no hope she looked down and saw him smiling.
"You're ok?" she said with a smile and some tears in her eyes.
"Yeah don't know what you did but thanks." Naruto said as he got up
"Don't mention it if it wasn't for you I'd be dead or captured by now." Tsunade said as she also got up.
"Kukukuku looks like the fox still breaths." Orochimaru chuckles.
"I'm sorry my lord I failed." Kabuto said
"It's not an issue we will deal with him later." Orochimaru says "this entire operation has failed. Let's take our leave." He says looking up at the two giant foxes standing over Naruto.
"Yes my lord." Kabuto replied as they jumped away.
"Hey get back here…" Jiraiya yells as he tries to give chase but the poison from Tsunade hasn't run its course.
"Oh right sorry Jiraiya." Tsunade says as she runs over to him and begins to heal him of the poison.
"The kid is really something huh." Jiraiya says looking over at Naruto who was talking with the two giant foxes as the disappeared in a poof of smoke.
"Yeah I didn't even realize who he was till that fox said his name." Tsunade said
"Yeah he is completely different than them but also the same." Jiraiya said
"Yeah but too bad we can't tell him who they are." Tsunade sighed "maybe then he would see things differently."
"No, he already knows" Jiraiya said
"What how?" Tsunade asked in shock
"The fox told me." Naruto said as him and Shizuna walked up to them.
"You talk with the fox?" Tsunade asked with even more shock.
"Yeah when the village ran me out of town for protecting a little girl from getting raped he was the only one who cared, till I met new friends on the road. He has always been there for me and we are brothers." Naruto explained
"Only reason I haven't left is cause I am sealed in you." Kurama spat.
'Haha love you too.' Naruto laughed getting Kurama to give a half-hearted smile.
"Well guessing you guys want to rest up for the night and head out in the morning then?" Naruto said looking at Tsunade and Jiraiya.
"Well it was a hard battle." Jiraiya said
"What you talking about I did all the heavy lifting." Naruto shot back.
"Alright it's settled we will head out tomorrow at dawn?" Jiraiya said looking at Tsunade
"Sounds good." Tsunade responded
"Argh fine but you better not slow me down this time old man." Naruto groaned. "you either ya old hag." He added throwing up his arms and walking away.
