Epilogue

~Third Person P.O.V.~

They were put side by side.

It was a chilly autumn morning, the breeze cool and the leaves just barely turning colors, and four pairs of eyes looked over the two head stones.

One was elegant in a pale stone. The words carved to the front were smooth and graceful as they spelled the young girl's name above a short description. The stone right next to it was a dark, hard marble with old font that showed skill and dedication to the person. The two head stones balanced each other perfectly as they stood tall in the cemetery, the dirt in front of the stones too fresh for the four teens liking. This day shouldn't have come for years; no one should have to bury their best friends.

Annabeth, Percy, Nico, and Thalia had stood there for a solid hour.

The funeral was brief and the words said were caring. So many tears were shed and they fell to the ground as they pair of lovers was lowered into the ground, finally being put to rest. Parents left the sight and close friends slowly trickled away until only the four leaders of the Revolution were left standing. No one bothered talking for a long time. They had no reason to. No words could fix what happened nor could they correct what had happened to the young couple.

"I can't believe that they did it… I mean… they're gone… but they finished it all…" Thalia gently spoke, her voice raw from sadness and grief.

Nico nodded gently next to her, his arm around her form.

They all heard the news when they got back into the states, the announcement of Ronos's murder all in the papers. The papers spoke of how two teens, neither name mentioned at the request of the parents, broke into the office of the successful business head K. Ronos, killing him in cold blood before being taken down by the building's security. To the world, they were murders that had an unknown motive. The paper gave soppy words on how the business world was losing the greatest man to ever enter the business world and the trade as a whole would never be the same without him. People were distraught over the break up of the company, but everyone assumed it was because of the death of the big boss not because the heads of the company saw how corrupt it really was and wanted to stop it.

To the Revolution, they were the heroes that took down the last step of the whole operation. They gathered at the apartments and had their own funeral for the two before the actual funeral happened, only the four teens going to the actual funeral. And not a single soul knew the couple was taking down Ronos until the task was already done. They killed Ronos together. They took out the head of the snake as they went down fighting, every drop of their blood shed for their cause.

The cause to change their lives and save the lives of so many others.

"I wish they had told us," Annabeth choked out, her face lined with streaks of tears, "I wish they had told us and we could've given them back up or something… something to make them be more safe and more protected… something to make them come home." Her words broke off as she covered her face, her heart hurting.

She was tired of burying her friends.

Percy frowned gently and hugged her close to him, his eyes lingering on Beckendorf's grave. There weren't really words that could fix what happened… nor would they try and fix what happened. What was done was done… but that didn't mean that they didn't miss their friends.

"She had to." Percy whispers gently, the three others looking at him in confusion.

"She had to go and she had to take care of him herself. She was tormented by Luke to become a spy for him and Ronos, but she never gave in. She saw the opportunity to take Ronos down as payback for all the torture he inflicted on her friends and herself personally, and we all knew that Charlie wouldn't let her go in alone. Silena had to be the one to face Ronos, and the two always had each other's backs so it made sense that they both went." Percy explained gently, his eyes staying on the stones.

There was a lie buried in his words… but he was the only one to know that. Silena faced Ronos as a way to pay back for her spying on the Revolution. He wouldn't give away Silena's secret now just like he wouldn't do it when she was alive. Her double crossing was forgiven by him and no one else had to know that she committed it. That wouldn't fix anything; it would only make it worse. Percy wished he could've saved her, saved them both, but he knew that he couldn't have even if he gave it his all. They would've died to finish this and they weren't going to change their minds. All Percy could do for them now was keep their integrity and allow the others to keep in mind all the good things the pair did for the revolution, not the one slip up Silena committed for the sake of love.

The others nodded softly at his explanation. Annabeth gently slipped her fingers into his as she wiped her eyes. It was time to go, they had been there long enough and payed their respects. Life had to go on. Silena and Charlie would want them to go on.

"Rest now guys… You did us proud. Thank you for your service." Annabeth praised gently, nodding in respect to their graves as her eyes spilled their last tears. She had lost many friends in the fighting, but this was the hardest.

The four teens turned and walked from the couple's grave stones.

Silena Beauregard and Charles Beckendorf would be together for the rest of time, sitting side by side at attention as their spirits made sure there was peace in their friends' lives. Their names would be remembered among all the Revolution members and among the heads of the former Ronos company.

They earned their place in eternity, and the couple would dance among the stars and retell their battle against corruption for many years to come.

~Time Skip: Third Person P.O.V.~

"Zoe! Luke! Don't go too far!"

A small girl with black hair and sea green eyes ran down the shore line as her older brother chased her, the boy's sandy blonde hair matted with water and flakes of seaweed. The siblings laughed and sprinted along the shore line as they splashed in the water and rolled around in the sand. Their parents walked far behind them, the woman a blonde with grey eyes and the man having black hair and sea-green eyes. Their hands were perfectly laced together as they strolled together. Happiness flickered in their eyes as they watched their kids play together. The Jackson's always loved their trips to the beach.

Suddenly, a small girl with midnight black hair whizzed by Percy as she squealed in delight, chasing her friends.

A chuckle pulled from Percy as he glanced at his wife.

"Bianca is much fast than either of her parents. And I bet when Silena gets bigger she will be too." Percy teased.

A couple pulled up next to Percy and Annabeth, the woman slapping Percy on the back on the head.

"I heard that you dork," Thalia remarked, looking at him with a smirk, "I could whoop your butt in a foot race anytime."

Nico grinned softly and shook his head, cuddling the small baby girl to his chest as they walked down the beach.

"In your dreams Grace! I still can't believe you're stubborn enough to keep your own last name even after you married Nico," Percy remarked back, earning another hit and laughs from his friends.

Annabeth and Percy stayed together after the Revolution was over and they stayed together through college even when Annabeth went to Columbia University for Architecture and Percy went to Stony Brook University for Marine Biology. They married after school and had two kids, the oldest a boy named Luke and a daughter named Zoe. Their kids were perfect to Percy and Annabeth and Luke and Zoe held traits that their friends they were named after had when they were alive. Thalia loved the names of both Jackson children, Aunt Thalia always coming over to babysit the kids and spend the day with them.

Nico and Thalia took a different path after the Revolution. Both chose to follow the footsteps of their fathers, learning about the shipping and distribution business. It wasn't as boring as they had assumed and they got to know their fathers better by working closely with them before taking over the two separate companies. Nico and Thalia made their companies into one, the Grace and Di Angelo business growing to huge heights, but the pair always made sure to be home by five o'clock and never bring work home with them. They wouldn't turn into their fathers before the Revolution. They finally got married and had two girls, Bianca the spitting image of her passed aunt and Silena nearly as beautiful as their friend.

The families all lived around one another as they continued on their lives, thoughts of rebellion and painful childhoods behind them. They'd all go to the beach together once a summer, spending a good solid week just relaxing and enjoying the ocean as they forgot about work and daily life.

"Do you think we'll ever tell them?" Nico asked out of the blue, Silena sleeping happily in his arms.

All four members of the group decided to keep their secret of the Revolution quiet from their kids. It was a serious topic of discussion that would be hard for younger kids to understand. They didn't want to confuse their kids, nor did they want to have the word passed around that they were involved in an underground Revolution that lead to the destruction of a company and a lot of death. That doesn't exactly look good on a job resume.

"One day," Annabeth decided, Percy nodding in agreement, "One day when they'll understand why we did it and know that it has to be kept a secret. They're smart kids, but we should save that kind of story for later."

The four adults nodded as they continued to walk down the beach.

The sun continued to gently set out on the water as the two families continued their way on the beach. They four former members of the once great Revolution would never forget their fight or what it cost, but they couldn't be happier that it was all over. Not having to fight for happiness and being able to live their own lives, happy with their families and the choices they made, that's all they wanted. They reconnected with their once blindly corrupted parents and moved past all their negative history to make a better future. Their kids were safe and happy and the four were finally living how they wanted. However, some part of them would always be apart of the Revolution. The scars remained on them physically and emotionally, but the four were able to move past their baggage and see a better future.

They put the fighting past them, but that didn't mean one couldn't find a small brass key tucked away in Annabeth's desk that opened the door to an old apartment building that was once the greatest underground headquarters of their century.

The same key that would be found by their kids in the future.

The same key that would open doors into worlds the Jacksons and Di Angelos never even dreamed of.

The same key that would create the next legacy for their names.

The same key the caused the second greatest underground world known to man.
