CHAPTER 19 New Mission
Naruto was walking back to the hidden leaf with the two teams of ninja, all the while being pestered by Lee for a rematch.
"Damn't Lee when we get to the Leaf I'll give you a match after I get some rest alright." Naruto says
"Alright." Lee says with excitement as he falls back with the rest of his team, as Kiba walks up to him.
"What you want a match as well?" Naruto asks
"Na I know you're out of my league." Kiba says with a chuckle
"Then what?" Naruto asks annoyed
"Jeez don't have to be all bitchy." Kiba says "I was just wondering where that little fox of yours went?"
"Right sorry I just got a nine tailed demon demanding to know why I'm going back to the leaf for any other reason than laying waste to it." Naruto sighs
"Well good to hear that isn't the reason for it." Kiba says with a half hearted chuckle.
"Yeah and as for Kuza." Naruto says as they hear another voice
"I'm right here." Kiba jumps a little as a black fox that's just a bit shorter then Akamaru with six tails appeared out of Naruto's shadow.
"Ohh shit." Kiba jumps
"Jumpy one aren't you." Kuza chuckles
"Sorry wasn't expecting you there." Kiba sighs
"Ah Kiba who are you talking to?" Hinata asks as she walks up to the two boys along with Sakura
"Oh just Kuza here." Kiba says
"Wait you can understand him?" Hinata asks
"Well not that shocking since dogs and foxes are close relatives." Naruto cuts in
"Ah that makes sense." Sakura says "Dogs, foxes, and wolves are all part of the canine family so they can easily understand each other."
"Yeah it's just like two different accents." Kiba said
"Alright looks like we just made it into the land of fire should only be a few more hours then we will be back at Konoha Kakashi said to the group as everyone but Naruto sighed in relief
"No no I still don't understand why are we going back there?" Kurama screamed into Naruto's ear
'Damn't how many more times do I have to tell you.' Naruto sighs
"Till it makes sense." Kurama replies
'Alright we can't take on the Akatsuki alone we need help in taking them down.' Naruto explained
"Still not making any sense we don't need anyone's help. If we did we would just ask the other tailed beasts for it" Kurama said
'I've already explained that to you multiple times. You knew this was coming why are you acting as if it's a shock?" Naruto asked
"Never thought you were serious about it." Kurama said
'If it means giving us and our brothers and sisters a chance to live without fear of being hunted down by the Akatsuki. I would make a deal with the devil himself, besides I think whoever is pulling these strings has bigger motivations than just collecting the Bijuu for power alone." Naruto said with a hint of fear.
After awhile of walking some more Naruto gets bored and walks up to Lee and says "hey buddy how about that match you were talking about."
At this Lee jumps up in excitement "alright what shall it be my friend a battle between weapons, a spar of hand to hand combat?" Lee says ecstatically
"A race whoever gets to the village gates first win's." Naruto said as he pats Lee on the back, making Lee even more excited as everyone else just groaned
"Ah I will join you in this youthful race my pupil and friend." Guy said with excitement "now let us all do our best in this race."
"Ah did he just volunteer us for a race none of us want to be in?" Kiba whispered to Kakashi
"Yeah he gets like that sometimes just hang back let him be just far enough ahead so just in case he needs help we can jump in." Kakashi replies back thanking Kami he hadn't been directly challenged by you green spandex wearing ninja.
"And Kakashi this is race between us as well if I win this will have us tied." Guy says giving Kakashi a thumbs up while he just dropped his head in despair
"Well good to hear it big guy." Naruto said patting Guy on the back as Lee and Guy got set up in a ready stance as Naruto walked up next to them "ready set GO!" Naruto yelled as he watched the two take off followed by the rest of their team yelling at how childish they were. While Kakashi's team jump after them as well but not nearly as fast. While Naruto just chuckled a bit and quickly jumped up to them.
"What are you doing way back here Fox? Not as fast as you claim?" Kiba barked getting Naruto to chuckle a bit
"Smarter not harder dog breath." Naruto replied
"Whatever you say Fox brat." Kiba shot back
"That's right I am a fox always cunning and got a trick up my sleeve." Naruto said with a smirk leaving the dog ninja confused as Naruto jumped up to Kakashi
"You know you can't beat them in speed right?" Kakashi asked
"I bet we both beat them." Naruto said getting Kakashi to raise an eyebrow at him only to get a snicker.
"Yeah sure." Kakashi says
"Ah ye of little faith if we beat them you owe me all I can eat ramen." Naruto said
"And if we lose." Kakashi asks
"I'll come back to the leaf." Naruto says with a grin at this both Hinata and Sakura look at him in shock and hope
'If he loses he'll come back to the village.' Sakura thought to herself
"Oh hell yeah this is our chance make sure he loses and he will be stuck there and we will have a chance." Inner screamed
'Shut up inner.' Sakura said with a blush
"You're on." Kakashi said
After about an hour of running Naruto looks at the silver haired ninja and says "well seems like they are almost to the gates."
"So guess that means you'll be coming back to the village then." Kakashi said
"I said almost it ain't over yet." Naruto said with a grin
"Wait how do you know they are getting close?" Kakashi asks as it hits him how could Naruto know where the two ninja were
"Ready for the fun part?" Naruto said with a grin as Kuza jumped into Naruto's shadow and he jumped over to Kakashi and grabbed him by the shoulder "cause it's time for the fun part" and in a flash of yellow they were gone
"Wait where the hell did they go?" Kiba barked in confussion as the rest of the team looked around in confusion as well.
"Alright I'm going to win this!" Lee hollered as he saw the gates coming out of the tree line
Just then there was a flash of yellow light and he felt something push off his back and then saw two people jumping toward the gates ahead of him. One was Naruto and the other was Kakashi being dragged by the collar. They landed in front of the gates. Naruto turned and looked at Lee and Guy as they came running up to the gates
"Looks like we win." Naruto said with a grin
"But how did… what happened?" Lee asked in shock as the rest of his team showed up
"Damn't Lee stop with this childish bullshit and Guy sensei you should be ashamed calling yourself a jonin when you let someone getting you all excited like that and just running off without thinking." Ten Ten yelled at them then she realized who was all there "ah fox how did you get in front of us?" she asked confused as well as Neji looking on in confusion as Naruto just smiled
At this Kakashi finally got his baring and stood up as his team showed up.
"What the hell Fox one second your there the next there is a flash of light and you and Kakashi sensei are gone." Kiba barked
"I can explain that." Kakashi said as he walked over to Lee and pulled off a seal that was on his back then gave it to Guy "Recognize it?" he says as he pulls another off of Guys back
"No way is this the…" Guy says in shock
"The fourth Hokage's seal for the flying thunder god" Kakashi says getting everyone to go wide eyed
"That's cheating." Lee said
"How so never laid down the rules saying we couldn't use jutsu." Naruto said getting Lee to stop his argument in its tracks "besides not my fault you didn't realize I placed the seal on you two."
"Wait the flying thunder god technique wasn't that the fourth Hokages move?" Ten Ten asked in realization "How do you know it?"
"Well I may not like him but hell his son should be able to use his techniques right?" Naruto asked as all of team Guy got a look of amazement and bewilderment on their faces. "Oh right forgot I didn't tell you guys that." He sighed
"You're the son of the fourth?" Lee asked still in shock
"That's what I said." Naruto replied
"So the flying thunder god is a blood line limit then?" Ten Ten asked
"No just an extremely difficult jutsu that can only be completed if you have an insane amount of chakra and awesome amount of control." Naruto replied
"Well let's go report to the Hokage." Kakashi said before anyone could start hammering Naruto with questions.
The two teams made their way to the Hokages office where they gave their report.
"Very well you may leave but Fox stay behind for a moment." Tsunade said as everyone but Naruto left.
"Let me guess you want me to tell you what I learned about the Akatsuki." Naruto said
"Actually first I want you to tell me why you ditched your protection detail." Tsunade said as a white haired man walked out from the shadows with an angry look on his face.
"And when were you supposed to be my protection detail, huh?" Naruto asked sarcasticly "don't really need it now been fending for myself my whole life could of used that 'protection detail' when I was nearly beaten to death as a kid, and not from some renegade ninjas but from my home village." He spat with annoyance. Getting the two elders to cringe at knowing he was right.
"Besides you're not mad I left your just mad about how I left." Naruto said with a grin
"And how did you leave?" Tsunade asked with a peeked eyebrow getting the old perv to get a look of fear
"Oh don't worry about that I'm gonna keep that for later black mail." He said with a grin looking at Jiraiya then back at Tsunade. "But anyway I ditched him for a few reasons." Naruto sighed "one I work better alone." He said nonchalantly "two I already learned everything I could from him after that it was simply practicing the techniques."
"And what have you learned from him?" Tsunade asked
"Well this for instance." Naruto said with a grin as he vanished in a yellow flash and reappeared next to her getting her to jump he then reached under the table and pulled off an old looking piece of paper with a the flying thunder god seal on it. "as well as my mother's bloodline limit." He said as he walked back around to the front the desk as chains began to slowly slide out from each of his hands and he whipped them around a bit then retracted them. "also some decently high level sealing." Naruto replied
"Any other reasons why, other than ego and thinking he was no longer of use?" Tsunade asked agitated
"Well let's see two can cover more ground more easily than a single group. Unless you spent the entire time looking for me?" Naruto asked just getting a guilty look on the old hermits face getting Naruto to face palm and shake his head. "Then there is the fact I can't move around as easily in some places while he is tagging along." He explains.
"How so?" Tsunade asks
"Well I normally hang around a lot of let's call them disreputable people, and they won't be comfortable around such a well known ninja." Naruto says "hell being a spy master you shouldn't be going around plastering your face everywhere as a legendary Sanin."
"Any more reasons?" Tsunade asked seeing his point on that one.
"Well this goes hand in hand with the others I wanted to get into the other nations and like I said he is a well known Leaf ninja so they won't let me in as easily if he is at my heels." Naruto explained
"Why did you want to go to those villages?" Tsunade asked
"Simple I wanted to warn the other Jinchuuriki about the Akatsuki threat." Naruto said as if it was obvious. "I had already warned the ones with the rock village and found the six tails and brought him to stay with the seven in waterfall so they could watch each other's backs I was on my way to cloud when I got word Gaara had been attacked."
"So that is why you left Jiraiya?" Tsunade asked
"Well those reasons and the fact he was constantly getting drunk and hooking up with random women." Naruto said getting Jiraiya to get a look of absolute fear and Tsunade to get an angry tick mark above her eye. "And whenever he wasn't hooking up with random women he was just drunk crying about how much he loooooved you."Naruto said in a mushy mocking voice. "Seriously throw the old toad a bone or fly or something, either that or don't get mad at him for hooking up with woman just because you want him but don't want to get hurt." Naruto said getting his fellow blonde to blush and look down "I don't know what your past is with each other and I certainly don't care I'll be staying in the village for a short time to rest up after that fight with those Akatsuki bastards so if you have any suggestions or intel please don't bother me with your personal problems." He finished as he turned around and walked out the door.
"Hey kit you do realize you didn't tell them anything about what we learned on the Akatsuki right." Came Kurama's voice
'Yep but let's see if they figure that out.' Naruto says with grin as he walked down the street toward his favorite ramen shop.
As he walked down the road he noticed he was still getting the same stares as he had in the past.
'Wow still pissed at me. I'll give them this they know how to hold a grudge.' Naruto sighed to himself as he walked up to Ichiraku "Hey old man can I get a super sized pork ramen."
"Oh Naruto your in the village, good to see you." Teuchi said with a grin
"It's fox." Naruto replied in a slightly annoyed tone
"Oh it's Naruto or the first one isn't free since I know you're going to buy at least five more." Teuchi chuckles.
"Don't bother me none if you charge me for that first one this guy is buying for me since he lost the bet." Naruto said with a grin pointing his thumb outside the drapes of the ramen shop. As Kakashi walked in as if nothing had happened
"Oh hi there Fox good to see…" Kakashi started but was cut off
"You can cut the act Kakashi I know you've been tailing me since I left the Hokage's office." Naruto said
"Fine I just wanted to make sure you weren't going to vanish again." Kakashi said as he sat down
"I'm gonna stick around for at least a day maybe more I gotta get some rest after that fight" Naruto said.
"From what I heard you didn't do much other than sneak about stab Sasori in the back and contain that other one with your chains." Kakashi said
"Don't forget hauled ass for two days to get there from lightning country, I was almost at cloud when I got the word Gaara had been attacked. So hauled ass down there did those fights and then we didn't get much rest in the sand before heading out so even I'm running on fumes here." Naruto said as Teuchi placed a bowl in front of him.
Then he felt another presence sit on the other side of him and speak "so your back huh." Came a sultry seductive voice.
"And now I gotta deal with this." Naruto sighed to Kakashi "what you want Hyuga?" He asked as he turned toward around and saw a black haired girl sitting next to him. He looked her up and down she was wearing fish net armor underneath her open cream colored jacket. With the open jacket it gave a clear view at her cleavage that she was well endowed with.
"Oh you know just a simple date." Hinata said as innocently as she could
"Why do I doubt that?" Naruto asked as he began to eat his ramen.
"Oh why not?" She pouted
"Cause well you're a Hyuga and you been raised with a silver spoon in hand since birth and think just because of your name you deserve everything." Naruto explained
"Not everything, just the best and from what I've heard and seen you are the best in my age range." She replied
"No I'm just the best period." Naruto replied with a smirk
"And that is why I want you." She said with a hungry grin. "You got the attitude and the skills to back it up. You don't get intimidated by anyone."
"The exact opposite of you then?" Naruto asked with a grin getting a shocked look on the young girl. "Oh what I hit the mark?" he asked innocently
"What no I am the best so I deserve the best that's why I want you to be my boyfriend and then husband." She demanded
"No you are skilled I'll admit that and decent on the eyes." Naruto said with a smirk giving her another look up and down "But that attitude is just annoying. That false confidence where you act like you don't give a shit and won't take any either, however when your daddy says jump you may groan about it you still say 'how high'" at this she shuts up and just stares at him "don't deny it I can see in your eyes I'm right." At this she looks away from him.
"You really are an ass." She says trying to hold back the tears
"Yes I am. But I will say you are a decent gal and will make some lucky guy's life very miserable." Naruto said with a smirk.
"No I will have you." he heard her say as she got control of herself again "You will be mine Fox not now but someday." She declared as she got up and stormed out of the ramen shop
"Maybe in another timeline but not this one." Naruto called after her "and if I find out that happened another timeline I'll be sure to slap the shit out of myself for it." He added with a laugh.
"Well that was interesting." Kakashi said as he watched Hinata leave
"Yeah gets a little bit on my nerves though." Naruto said "you know you can come out now." He added as he brought the bowl of broth up to his mouth and began to drink it. Just then Sakura popped her head into the shop.
"Oh hi there Naruto-kun." She said innocently "I just happened to be walking by an…"
"I know you were listening in." Naruto cut her off as he lowered the bowl
"Shit he figured it out my plan is ruined." Inner screamed
'Yeah… wait what plan?' Sakura asked
"Oh nothing never mind" Inner replied with a grin and a wave
"I don't like being spied on." Naruto said
"Sorry I just over heard and didn't want to interrupt." She apologized with her head down.
"Don't let it happen again." Naruto said as another bowl was placed in front of him. "or at least get better at it." He said as he dug into his meal.
"Right well I'm gonna go then." Sakura said as she took off.
"The hell are you doing this is the first and probably only time he'll be back in the village. Go back and take him now. Before Hinata makes another move and changes his mind." Inner screeched in her head.
'No I just don't see him that way I…' Sakura began
"I swear to god if you say you're still after Sasuke I'm gonna torture you in ways that you won't even imagine." Inner said
'No that's not it.' Sakura said
"Good." Inner sighed
'It's just that he has done so much for me, saving me I don't know how many times. It's just I have been nothing but a burden to him and don't want to get in his way.' Sakura said with a small tear
"Then repay him for what he has done for you." Inner said with a mischievous grin
'That's right that's why I've been training so hard so I won't be a burden maybe I can help him out sometime. Thanks inner.' Sakura replied to her inner mind as she picked up her pace and headed home
"No that's not what I meant." Inner tried to stop her then sighed "You know what never mind."
Mean while back at the ramen shop Naruto was eating his fifteenth bowl of ramen as Kakashi just stared at him in self pity as he watched his money go down the drain.
"Ah that hit the spot." Naruto sighed as he hit his chest and burped
"Well that's good cause that is all the money I had." Kakashi frowned emptying his wallet
"Well then that should be a lesson to ya don't bet against me." Naruto grinned
"Yeah I'll remember that one." Kakashi said "so then you heading back out?"
"Not just yet I am gonna rest up for the night then I still gotta tell the old lady what I learned about the Akatsuki in the morning so probably heading out tomorrow evening or the next morning." Naruto said as he got up and walked away.
As he walked down the street Kuza walked out of a shadow and walked along side him.
"So that was interesting with the black haired vixen." Kuza said
"More like annoying." Naruto sighed "I can understand the boyfriend part but she is already thinking about marriage. Fuck that, can you imagine me with some little runts running under foot."
"Kami have mercy on those poor little kits souls, for having been sired by you." Kuza chuckled
"I know right… wait what does that mean?" Naruto shot at his long time friend with irritation
"Yeah a blonde haired boy and black haired girl running around looking like you, or would you prefer it be a little pink haired girl running around." Kurama sniggered
"And just the fuck that supposed to mean ya flea bag." Naruto asked upset as he walked into a hotel
"Nothing just get a hotel room and crash out." Kurama chuckled as he stepped up to the desk and got a room.
The next morning Naruto walked into the Hokage's office again and looked at the elder blonde
"So you and the old perv have a nice heart to heart." Naruto chuckled
"That is none of your business." Tsunade replied
"Finally someone gets it please pass that along to the old perv for me." Naruto replies with relief
"Any way you going to tell me what you learned about the Akatsuki now or you gonna do another round about?" Tsunade asked
"No more round abouts I'll let you know what I know." Naruto said with a smile "well first like we both know they are after the tailed beasts and they already have their hands on one of them the one tails as for why they are after them I'm not sure."
"Isn't it for power or something like that?" Tsunade asked
"Possibly but I got a feeling they got ulterior motives then just power and greed." Naruto said
"Like what?" Tsunade asked
"I don't know." Naruto said
"Then if that is all you've gotten over the past three years its not worth much." Tsunade sighed
"Never said that was it. I do have the names of some of their members as we know Itachi Uchiha, and Kisame came after me three years ago, also Sasori of the red sand is now dead, then there is Deidra who escaped while I contained his explosion." Naruto explained
"Yes stop telling me things I already know damn't." Tsunade said getting angry
"Just covering everything." Naruto sighed "here is something you probably didn't know your old buddy Orochimaru was a member at one time." At this she got a look of shock
"Are you sure?" she asked
"Yeah but he is out now conflict of interest or something. Not really sure." Naruto replied "also their leader is named Pain, as for the rest of the members there is a woman named Konan. Then there is Kakuzu who like me is a bounty hunter, he defected from the waterfall village. Then there is Hidan crazy bastard who believes himself immortal as long as he kills others for his deity. Then there is one guy who has been trying to get in but they only allow nine members at a time but since I killed Sasori they will most likely be allowing him in to fill the ranks. I don't have much on him. That is the same for their last member I got nothing other than a name for this one Zetsu. From the rumors they are based out of the rain village." He explained
"That is a lot of information how did you happen to come by this any way?" Tsunade asked
"You wouldn't tell me your contacts now would you?" Naruto asked
"No guess I wouldn't." Tsunade replied in defeat
"Alright now for the real reason I came here." Naruto sighed getting Tsunade to cock her eyebrow.
"Now what would that be for?" Tsunade asked
"Trust me I wouldn't ask if I didn't need it." Naruto said "but I need help against these bastards." He admitted
"How so?" Tsunade asked
"Well these guys are tough I will most likely need your villages help taking them down, the only ones who could face off against this enemy is one of the five great villages even then that might not be enough." Naruto admitted
"Well if you wanted a villages help why didn't you ask the other nations when you visited them?" Tsunade asked
"Well the mist is still weak from coup, same goes for the sand after is attack on you guys, and now their Kage just lost his Bijuu." Naruto sighed "the stone straight up refused to believe this is a threat to them and even denied me to see their Jinchuuriki to warn them. However I was still able to warn them behind that old man's crippled back. The old man took one look at me realized who my father was instantly and almost had me killed on the spot. Fortunately I talked him out of it by telling him I wasn't a leaf ninja and I had no loyalty to it. I was on my way to the cloud village when Gaara was attacked to warn the Gyuki and Matatabi and ask them for help but like I said it may take more than a single village to take them down." He explained
"Gyuki and Matatabi?" Tsunade asked
"The eight and two tails." Naruto replied
"Ah right." Tsunade replied
"So you going to help me with taking these bastards down?" Naruto asked
"One condition." Tsunade said
"Why do I get the feeling I'm not gonna like this." Kurama said in his head
'We knew there were going to be conditions let's just hope it's not that one.' Naruto replied
"And what is that?" Naruto asked
"You take a team with you while out hunting down the Akatsuki." Tsunade said
"I work better alone." Naruto said
"A three man squad hand selected by me and Jiraiya." Tsunade said
"No deal." Naruto said
"Remember you came to us for help these are the conditions." Tsunade said
"Alright I'll head to the cloud then see if I get a better deal." Naruto shrugged as he turned away to leave.
"Alright two man team." Tsunade said
"One man and I get to pick them." Naruto said
"Fine but out of list I come up with." Tsunade said
"Deal." Naruto replied as he walked over to her desk and shook her hand. "when will you have the list ready for me to pick from?"
"This evening." Tsunade said
"Than I will have to leave later this evening when less people are out so they don't see move leave with whomever I'm stuck with." Naruto replied as he walked out "I'll be back later this evening to pick from your list."
Naruto went back to his favorite ramen stand in the world and ordered a couple of bowls.
"Hey old man can I get some miso porks please." Naruto said as Ayame walked out
"Sorry my father isn't here but I can get you what you want Naruto." Ayame said
"Oh sorry about that." Naruto said "But yeah three bowls of miso pork and a side of fish for my pal here." He finished and pointed to Kuza who was sitting on the stool next to him.
Ayame looked over at the big fox and let out a small sigh. "Is this the little fox that was with you last time?" she asked
"Yeah why? You sound disappointed" Naruto asked as he cocked an eyebrow
"Well he was so cute back then now he is all grown up and not a little puppy anymore." Ayame sighed
"Hahaah." Naruto just laughed getting Kuza to cringe a bit.
"What's so funny?" Ayame asked
"Oh nothing." Naruto sighed after his laughing fit then a shadow enveloped Kuza and what was replaced was a little fox pup.
"Oh how did he?" Ayame said in shock
"Well foxes are master tricksters. Transformations are easy for them, now about that fish." Naruto asked
"Right away." Ayame said with a smile as she went to the back and get the orders.
"God you are such an attention whore." Naruto sighed to his fox
"Didn't we already have this conversation, just cause you suck with the vixens doesn't mean I have to as well. Hell most people would use this as an advantage to get vixens." Kuza replied "unless you have your eye on a specific vixen but won't admit it."
"Ok you just an attention whore to be making up shit that ain't there." Naruto said
"Who's an attention whore?" came a female voice from the other side of Naruto. He looked over to find a blond with long hair and a purple two piece outfit sitting next to him.
"Ah Ino right?" Naruto asked
"Yeah now who were you talking to?" she asked
"Just this little pain in the ass." Naruto said leaning back pointing at Kuza in his pup form.
"Oh he's so cute he hasn't changed at all since last time you been here." Ino squealed as Kuza jumped up on to the bar and started to walk over to her.
"It's just an illusion." Naruto sighed as he pushed the little fox off of the bar as he walked by him.
"Oh why would you do that to him?" Ino whined as Kuza jumped back up on the bar and glared at Naruto.
"Because he wants attention so I gave it to him." Naruto chuckled as he walked over to Ino
"Oh if he just wants some attention then I'll give him some." Ino cued as she started to scratched him behind the ears, and began to feed him the fish Ayame brought out for him
"Yeah that's just what he needs to be spoiled." Naruto sighed as Kuza rolled over and Ino began to scratch his belly "So what is the reason you're here? I know it's not to spoil my little buddy there." he asked as he began to wolf down his meal not wanting to spend too much time talking to her.
"Well it's been three years since you've been to the village and was just wondering what brought you back." Ino asked "is it a girl?" she teased
"No just simple intelligence gathering." Naruto said startled at first at her second question.
"Are you sure cause I know a certain person who is glad you're back." Ino teased getting the mercenary to grind his teeth.
"Yeah and it has taken every ounce of self control I have not to kill her for pestering me." Naruto ground out as he finished his bowl of ramen and paid.
At hearing this Ino stared at him in shock 'Is he still upset over what happened when they were younger?' she thought to her self
"Let's go Kuza." Naruto said as he got up and walked out of the stand and Kuza got up from Ino's belly rubs and jumped off of the bar turning back into his normal size. "and tell that Hyuga if she comes near me again she won't leave unharmed."
'Wait he was talking about Hinata?' Ino asked herself in shock realizing she had made the mistake.
"Damn't brother and you wonder why you're a virgin." Kurama sighed "treating vixens that are nice to you in such a way."
'Shut it fox beside of all people you would be upset about me being mean to the Leaf.' Naruto replied
"Well if you deflower one of the head clan heiress it would be a huge slap in their faces." Kurama snickered
'That's the evil son of a bitch I know and love, also think we've spent too much time around Jiraiya.' Naruto chuckled to himself
"Well he is a world renowned adult book write he does know a thing or two about the vixens." Kurama shot back at him
'Only about sluts and skanks and how to please a woman in bed. Nothing about getting a real woman who cares for him he has obviously failed at that.' Naruto pointed out
"Oh has my little kit turned into a hopeless romantic with dreams of finding that one and only soul mate?" Kurama teased
'Oh shove it up your ass you demonic fur ball.' Naruto shot back as he fox merely chuckled at his host's annoyance.
Naruto walked into the Hokage's office and looked at the blonde
"So you got your suggestions for me then?" Naruto asked walking up to her desk
"Do you ever knock?" Tsunade asked
"Not really." Naruto shrugged
"You know that may be your down fall someday walking into a room when you're not supposed to." Tsunade said
Just then an image he hadn't thought about in years pops into his head. He then puts his hand over his eyes and shakes his head and says "maybe it already has." Then shivers
'Thought I got rid of that memory.' Naruto thought
"You know what they say, some things can never be unseen." Kurama said with a shiver as well.
"Any way who are you planning on sticking me with so you can trust me about this deal?" Naruto asks.
"Well I have the people I believe will suit you right here." Tsunade says holding out her hand with five people standing at the wall.
First was Kakashi followed by Hinata, then Sakura, Shikamaru, and finally Jiraiya.
Naruto looked at the choices and sighed "seriously these are the best you can do?"
"They are all top shinobi in their respective fields, Kakashi was ANBU and good all around, Hinata is excellent at close courter with her gentle fist style, Sakura is the top medical student I have ever trained, Shikamaru is a genus tactician, and Jiraiya is a sanin and a spy master." Tsunade said
"Alright first of Jiraiya no way in hell you had your chance when I was a kid and lost it only reason I went along with the training thing was to get stronger, also I don't want to hear you whine and complain about missing your chance with the old hag for another minute." Naruto shot at the white haired old perv
"Told you he wouldn't pick me." Jiraiya called over to Tsunade
"Try dumping him on someone else would ya. Now Shikamaru I get you're a genius and what not but you are just too lazy I don't want to your head up in the clouds or you complaining about how much everything is a pain in the ass everything is." Naruto replied
"Thank god I really didn't want to do this to much of a pain." Shikamaru sighed in relief
"Figured as much." Naruto chuckled a bit "now Kakashi can't bring him along for one of the same reasons I told you I ditched the old perv."
"I may be a bit of a perv but I am no where near as bad as him." Kakashi interrupted
"Well glad to see you don't deny it, but that's not the reason. The reason is because too many people know you're a Konoha ninja Kakashi of the Sharingan eye, or copy ninja. I am going to be working around very skittish people and they know who you are and may spook them more easily." Naruto explained
"He does have a point lady Tsunade I am wanted in the bingo book, and he is a bounty hunter only makes sense he would work around others that know what's in the bingo book." Kakashi replied
"I guess you're right." Tsunade sighed
Naruto then turned to Hinata who gave him a sultry smile as he eyes light up "just no." he said with a half hearted chuckle, getting her to drop the smile in shock.
"So guess you're the only option I have out of what I was offered." Naruto sighed looking over at Sakura
"I won't accept this you choose her of me a noble blooded Hyuga?" Hinata screeches
"Yep." Naruto replies
"But why I am better than her in every way. She is of a low clan that doesn't amount to anything." Hinata demands
"Better on the eyes I'll give you that." Naruto replies looking at her partially exposed breasts, getting Sakura to blush and lower her head in shame at how her body hadn't started to develop. "However you've been stepping on my last nerve ever since I returned to this village three years ago. Also for the exact reason you believe I should take you is the exact reason I am not. You are 'Hyuga' well known throughout the world as being leaf ninja. Even those that have left the leaf though they are very few are still loyal to the Hyuga family, and will make my contacts run even fast than if I had Kakashi backing me up. You also just mentioned one of the reasons I picked her." He said getting both Hinata and Sakura to look at him with a bit of confusion. "she is of a lower clan and less recognizable as a leaf ninja. Only way they would know who she is, is if she wore the head band or someone knew she was the old hag's apprentice. Since she is her apprentice I am assuming you have been training with her and working the hospital not been on many missions outside the village?" Naruto asks looking over at her
"That's right I haven't left the village in three years other than that mission to the sand." Sakura replied
"Good then the only people who would know she is the Hokage's apprentice are those in the village and a few spies in the village. So people wouldn't give her a second look unless they were specifically looking for her. Since she doesn't have a bounty on her head no one is looking for her. That is why she is better for this mission than you." Naruto inhaled after getting done with his rant "and the fact you annoy the living hell out of me."
Hinata stood there speechless as he finished his explanation and she couldn't find anything wrong with his logic. So she made a frustrated face and stormed out of the office.
"Ah always satisfying to watch a little brat storm off when they didn't get what they wanted" Naruto sighed with a smirk. "alright now you go home gather what you need for a two month long trip if we are gone any longer than that we can get supplies as we go. Once you have what you need meet back here and I will brief you on the rest of the job" He says looking over at Sakura
"Alright." She says as she and everyone else head out of the office.
"And what are you going to do while you wait for her?" asked Tsunade
"Why sit here and bug you of course." Naruto said with a chuckle
Sakura hurried to her house to gather her supplies.
"Alright he pick us, a whole month or maybe longer just the two of us this will be great." Inner cried in excitement
'This is a mission nothing more.' Sakura said
"Yeah a mission to steal his heart and make him ours." Inner added
'Seriously why do you have to be like that?' Sakura sighed
"Hey I'm your repressed emotions so it's really you saying all this." Inner countered
'Shut up on its not you're just a voice in my head I can't get rid of.' Sakura said
"Fine stay in denial but I will get the two of us together by the end of this 'mission.'" Inner claimed
'Yeah sure whatever you say.' Sakura said sarcastically as she walked in to her house and went to her room.
As she began to pack her things away when her mother walked into the room.
"So looks like you got another mission huh?" her mother asked
"Yep I will be gone for at least two months outside the village." Sakura said with a smile
"Oh really you seem pretty happy about this you going with anyone special?" her mother teased
"What no, of course not." Sakura said with a blush
"Oh think you're not telling me the truuuuth." Her mother said teasingly
"No you're noooot." Inner chimed in with a grin
"Well there is a boy going along with me well it's just going to be the two of us." Sakura admitted
"Oh and who is this little devil I need to keep an eye on that has stolen my daughter's heart" she continued to tease.
"Well don't get mad." Sakura said
"Oh why would I get mad." He mother said with a smile
"Seriously you need to stay calm." Sakura insisted
"Oh alright fine I'll stay calm." Her mother replied
"It's Naruto kun" Sakura admitted under her breath just loud enough for her to hear and at this her eyes narrowed
"That demon is back in the village?!" she demanded "I'll kill him for laying his hands on you all those years ago!" She yelled as she began to storm out of the room
"No mom stop." Sakura said as she jumped up and hugged her mom from behind before she could get out the door and held her there.
"What I need to kill him for what he did to the village and to you." her mom said in an angry voice.
"It's not what you think." Sakura said
"What do you mean it's not what I think?" her mom asked
"He has saved my life more times than I can count." Sakura admitted lowering her head and getting her mom to stop her rampage and look down at her daughter who was nearly in tears.
"What do you mean saved you life he is nothing but destruction and death a demon." Her mother said
"No that's not the side of him I've seen he is caring and good even though he likes to hid it. All those years ago he wasn't the one who attacked me it was the old man and he rescued me." Sakura said getting her mother to look at her in shock "than he did it again in the land of waves when Gato got his hands on me they were both going to rape me but he stopped them." she said as tears started to form in her eyes "Than during the invasion he stopped Gaara from crushing me and defended the village from him" at this her mother's eyes bulged in shock at this revelation "then he saved me when I went after Sasuke who tried to kill me but he stopped him as well."
"Sakura why didn't you tell me this before." He mother asked in shock
"Because you wouldn't have ever listened you and dad had your minds made up about him and believed he was the demon when he was only carrying it preventing it from attacking again." Sakura cried as her mother hugged her tightly to comfort her as she let it all out.
"It's alright Sakura it's alright." Her mother said
"No it's not he has done so much for me and I've done nothing for him. I need to do this mission to help him and pay back some of the debt I owe him for all that he has done for me." Sakura cried in to her.
"It's alright you are strong and will most certainly pay him back." Her mom said
"You think so?" Sakura asked looking up at her with tears in her eyes as her mom nods her head and wipes the tears from her eyes
"But first we need to get these tears out of your eyes before we go to meet him." She said with a smile
"Alright." Sakura said as she wiped the tears from her eyes then it hit her "wait we?" she asked in shock to get a nod and smile from her mom.
Naruto was sitting at the chair next to the Hokages desk with a bottle of sake in one hand taking swigs every so often.
"Damn't that is some of the strongest stuff I got even I feel a bit tipsy after about a quarter of the bottle and you drank the whole damn thing and ain't feeling a damn thing?" Tsunade said as she grabbed the bottle and turned it upside down as a single drop fell out of it.
"Nope cause you're a light weight." Naruto chuckled "and the fact the fox treats alcohol as a poison and purges it form my system almost immediately." He says with a fox grin
"Oh now that ain't fair." Tsunade said
"Got that right I could drink three times as much as you and only get a decent buzz." Naruto sighed as he heard the door open and in walked Sakura followed by a blonde haired woman with green eyes
"Ah Mebuki what are you doing here?" Tsunade asked
"Well my daughter told me she was going on a long term mission with a boy I just came by to see him for myself and make sure he wouldn't do anything to her." Mebuki said as she walked up to Naruto as he stood up.
"So you're the demon child." Mebuki said looking him over getting Naruto to reach slowly for his sword at his waist "you know I should get a mob to kill you for what you did to the village."
"How many times do I have to say it I didn't do a damn thing to the village it was the damn fox sealed in me not me I was born on that day, and my father sealed the damn thing in me." Naruto said getting Mebuki's eyes to bulge
"You're saying the fourth is your father?" She asked in shock
"What don't you see the family resemblance?" He says pointing at the picture on the wall behind the Hokages desk "Only thing is my hair changed as I aged to red with blonde tips."
"Well than that starts to make sense he wouldn't want to sacrifice someone else child if he wasn't willing to do it himself." Mebuki said in realization
"Wow first time I heard that even told that to the council and they didn't believe it" Naruto said
"You told the council of this?" She asked
"Yeah just before the chunin exams when the sound and sand attacked." Naruto explained
"Well guess I'll have to talk to my husband later." Mebuki said "but if my daughter trusts you I'll trust you to take care of her on this mission."
"Alright." Naruto says confused "Just one thing." He says then looks over at Tsunade "those tits are fake as shit." He says pointing at her rake getting Tsunade to blush and get angry and the other two women to get a look of fear across their faces. Then in an instant Tsunade jumps up and punches him sending him flying through the wall and two more behind it. Leaving a bewildered looking Mebuki and Sakura staring at her.
Naruto came out of the hole in the wall brushing himself off "Alright not dreaming." He says as he looks over at her "Never thought I would ever hear that from this village."
"I still don't like you but if what my daughter said is true than maybe I have misjudged you so please take good care of my daughter." Mebuki said
"Alright one second." Naruto says as he turns toward Tsunade again
"No you're not dreaming I'm not putting another hole in my office." Tsunade says with a tick mark.
"Alright well Sakura good luck." Mabuki says as she leans down and hugs her then whispers "with the mission and getting him." Getting Sakura to blush
"Alright your mom approves nothing in the way now." Inner cheers as her mom breaks the hug and walks away.
"Well that was interesting." Naruto says confused "well let's get back down to business" he says looking at her as she walks up to the desk. "so this mission is to gather intel on the Akatsuki, first we will be heading to the hidden cloud village."
"Why there?" Sakura asks
"Because their Jinchuuriki are the only ones I haven't warned yet. I was on my way there when I got word about Gaara." Naruto says getting a nod from Sakura "then we will head to the demon islands and hit up my contacts from there and use that as a base of operations while we search for information." He explains
"Alright ready to go." She asks
"Just one more thing." Naruto says
"What?" Sakura asks
"This is an undercover mission you will have to leave your head band here." Naruto says getting a bit of a shocked look from her.
"Oh alright I understand" She says as she takes it off and gives it to Tsunade
"I'll take care of it for you till you return." Tsunade said
"And second our cover while we are traveling around outside of the demon islands we have to pose as a newly married couple exploring the world on our honey moon." Naruto said
"What?" Sakura said with shock
"I'm liking this plan more and more." Inner said with an evil grin
"It's the easiest way for us to move around without drawing too much attention to ourselves." Naruto said "we will have to share a room so we can share intel with each other and people will ask less questions if they believe we are a married couple sharing a room than anything else."
"I can think of some other things we can share." Inner said pervertedly
"Trust me I don't like it any more than you do but it's the easiest way." Naruto said "any questions?" Naruto asked
"No I think I got it." Sakura said
"Good now let's get going." Naruto said as he walked toward the door followed by Sakura.
'You know they make a cute couple.' Tsunade thought to herself as she yawned and stretched then pulled out another bottle of sake and poured herself a drink.

Alright little Hinata bashing if you don't like it well fuck off cause you one in the end. Now I'm not totally against NaruHina was I upset at the ending yes but it was because of the fact SasSaku happened everyone talks shit on how badly Sakura treated Naruto when they were younger but she saw the error of her ways in shippuden and even in later parts of the first series. But Sasuke treated her worse than she ever treated Naruto throughout the entire story yet still got together with him. Fucked up yeah, now like I said I don't hate NaruHina completely but since I can't see Sakura with anyone else but Naruto Naruhina can't happen in my mind because of that. But it ain't my story to play god with so he can do whatever he wants with it I'm just point out plot hole I see. Alright end of rant, and also Kiba and the tamaki aka the cat lady did take me by surprise didn't see that one coming. So please review. And its late so if I made any really bad screw ups please let me know so I can fix them.
