CHAPTER 20 BATTLE OF THREE SIBLINGS
Naruto and Sakura where walking down the road side by side toward the hidden cloud village.
"How much longer?" Sakura asked with little whine
"Don't get your panties in a bunch just a little further." Naruto sighed "It's like you've never traveled long distances before."
"I have but most people talk when traveling to help pass the time." Sakura shot back "Seriously you've barely spoken to me since we left the village."
"And this is why I work alone; a nice quite walk through the country side is all I ask." Naruto sighed
"Oh you know you like the company even if she had badgered you with questions half the time." Kurama said
'I can't believe you're taking her side on this traitor.' Naruto replied
"Just saying what you're feeling." Kurama shrugged
'Seriously I have no idea what you're talking about.' Naruto replied in his head
While Naruto was having his internal dispute Sakura was having her own.
"What the hell he has barely said a word since we left the leaf, how are we supposed to know what he likes for when we seduce him?" inner complained
'We aren't going to try that, but it would be nice to at least learn a little about him.' Sakura complained
"Ah coming over to my way of seeing things then?" inner asked
'No just saying I would like to know a bit about him since we will be working alongside him, like a co worker type thing.' Sakura replied
"Sure tell yourself whatever you want but I know the truth." Inner replied
Just then a squad of five ninja jumped down from the trees. Sakura instinctively jumped back to back with Naruto pulling a kunai.
"What do we do, we're out numbered and surrounded." Sakura whispered glancing over her shoulder at him
"I give up." Naruto said throwing up his hands, and causing Sakura to stumble in shock
"What the hell happened to the badass take on any amount of enemies mercenary you're always bragging about?" Sakura whispered glancing back at him.
"We are here to pass along a warning and they won't be very willing to listen if we start a fight so play along." Naruto whispered back
"What are you doing here mercenary?" the cloud ninja asked
"Looking for some friends." Naruto replied with his arms still raised
"And who might be your friends?" the ninja asked
"I'm looking for Yugito Nii, and the other one I will tell you after it talk with her." Naruto replied
"What do you want with that demon?" the ninja asked with venom
'Even in this village we are treated like trash.' Naruto sighed to himself
"That is between me and her." Naruto replied "now I am willing to go peacefully if you allow me to speak with her." He offered. The cloud ninja just stared at him contemplating his words for a moment. "Or would you rather have a 'demon' angry at you when she finds out you didn't let me speak to her?" Naruto asked. At hearing this, the ninja got a look of fear pass over his face.
"Very well come with us and turn over your weapons." The ninja said
"Very well as long as we get them back once we leave." Naruto replied as he removed his four swords, but Sakura began to resist. "do it Sakura." She was about to argue but looked back at his sky blue eyes that showed they didn't want to be argued with, she then turned over her weapon pouches.
"Alright lets go." The cloud ninja said as he put them in restraints and began to lead them to the village.
Naruto and Sakura were separated and put into separate interrogation rooms to wait. After awhile a man walked and sat across from him.
"So you going to bring Yugito here?" He asked
"She is on her way, but first let's talk." The cloud ninja replied
"I'm here just to talk to certain people and you ain't one of them." Naruto replied
"Oh is that right? Then who are the other people you're here to talk too, other than that demon?" he asked
"Obviously not you." Naruto said with a smirk
"Very well I guess I'll just talk and you listen." The ninja said as Naruto just shrugged "I just want to know how you know Yugito, Fox." he said looking for a reaction from the young mercenary "Oh yes we know who you are Fox, a top level mercenary with one long rap sheet."
"Oooooh you know who I am good for you. Want a cookie or something for it." Naruto said holding his hands up and shaking them next to his head mockingly.
"I would also like to know why you're traveling with the fifth Hokage's apprentice." The ninja asked
"Is that who she is?" Naruto asked "I simply ran into her in a bar and she been following me around, I just been keeping her around cause that will of fire they have over there carries on in the bed room. Unlike the ladies of the other lands like here and the land of earth all up tight and all to ready for a fight, or in the land of wind all hard from the elements but I will admit they do have a nice tan to them." Naruto joked "Then in the land of water they're all depressed from all those years of civil wars and what not. Don't even get me started on the smaller nations."
"Oh please go on." The ninja replied just wanting him to keep talking
"I think I've entertained you long enough now where is Yugito?" Naruto asked
"As I said she is on her way, but you never did answer my question on how you know her." The ninja replied
"Because I didn't want to answer but if it gets her here faster, let's just say I'm a friend of a friend of a friend. I know a bit confusing but that's how it is." Naruto sighed
"And who is this friend?" The ninja asked
"No that is between me and her." Naruto replied leaning in staring hard at him. Then he sat back and relaxed a bit and said "you know it's kind of quite in here any chance of some music or something?" Naruto asked
"Sorry no speakers in here to play any." The ninja said a little taken aback by this odd request
"Alright guess I can work with that." Naruto replied getting a confused look from the "this is the song that never ends it goes on and on my friend, some people started singing it not knowing what it was, yes they'll continue singing it forever just because this is, the song that never ends…." He started singing
"Hey what the hell are you doing?" the ninja asked
"Singing what else?" Naruto replied as if it was obvious
"It's annoying." The ninja replied
"And I'm going to sing it till she gets here." Naruto replied and began singing again.
"Shut up and speak to me!" the ninja yelled but was simple ignored as he continued to sing. After awhile the ninja got up and stormed out of the room.
After three hours Yugito finally arrived at the observation room for interrogation.
"So you said someone came to speak with me?" Yugito asks as she walked in
"Alright bout time you got here." The ninja sighed in relief getting a cocked eyebrow from the blonde haired woman as she looked at the two way mirror and saw what appeared to be a teenage boy with blonde hair singing but she couldn't hear him since the room was sound proof. "sorry he has been at it for three hours none stop." The ninja replied and turned on the microphone for the integration room.
"This is the song that never ends it goes on and on my friend…" Naruto sang but it was cut off right after that
"Sorry I can't stand that any more I had to listen to it for two hours I only shut off the sound about an hour ago because it was driving me mad." The ninja replied
"What do we know about him?" Yugito asked as the ninja pulled up a file and handed it to her
"He is an A rank mercenary known for working for the mist, rock, and the normal underground bosses who could hire him. He goes by the name 'Fox' but no one knows his real name and if they do they are not talking." The ninja replied
"Did he say why he wanted to talk to me?" she asked
"No just that he was a friend of a friend of a friend, and needed to talk to you and someone else who he didn't give the name of yet. He said he would only talk to you." the ninja replied "He was traveling with a leaf ninja who wasn't wearing her head band she says they are newlyweds on their honeymoon. She has stuck to that story even though we told her we knew who she really was."
"Who is she?" Yugito asked
"Sakura Haruno, apprentice of the Fifth Hokage." The ninja replied as he handed her the file they had on her
"Alright I will handle it from here." Yugito replied
"Oh thank god." The ninja sighed with happiness.
"But I still need you to stay and observe though." She replied
"As long as he stops that damn singing no problem." The ninja replied with annoyance.
Yugito walked out of the observation room and into the interrogation room. As she walked in she stood at the door for a second as he realized she was there.
"Bout time you came around, hurry up meow I been waiting long enough pretty sure your buddy in the observation room will agree with me on that one." Naruto chuckled
"Why did you want to speak with me and what friend of a friend you know that we have in common." Yugito asked
"Meow where is the fun in that?" Naruto asked getting Yugito to flinch a bit at the first word he said
"Are you saying meow?" Yugito asked
"Am I saying meow?" Naruto asked in confusion "why would I be saying meow. Do look like a cat? Am I lapping milk from a saucer? Am I jumping from tree to tree all nimbal bimbly?" Naruto asked then stopped "Wait scratch that one I do do that one." He said with a smile. "but I ask again why would I say meow when you're the cat not me." He said with his Fox like smirk and his eyes changed to red slits as he stared deep into her eyes. As she recoiled in shock
"Wait I know who this is." The two tailed cat sealed within Yugito said in realization
'Damn't you know I don't like talking to you but if you know who this is tell me now.' Yugito asked
"You know that's not a very nice way to speak with someone you stuck with for life." Came a new male voice in her head.
All of a sudden Yugito found herself in her mindscape, a cave with a giant crystal ball with blue flames inside it.
"Ah so you've figured out how to extend the connection to the host." The flames inside the crystal ball said as the face of a cat appeared in it.
"Yeah we figured that one out now we can talk without anyone who shouldn't hear, listening in." came the voice again as Yugito turned around and saw Naruto standing in front of a massive cage with a piece of paper on the lock saying 'seal' and a giant nine tailed fox behind the bars.
"The nine tailed fox." Yugito murmured under her breath in disbelief
"Ah don't worry the shock and awe effect will fade after awhile." Naruto replied with a smirk
"What is the nine tails doing here?" Yugito asked
"We are here to give you a warning." Kurama spoke sending a fear into the two tailed Jinchuuriki
"Damn't Kurama stop scaring the poor girl." Naruto chuckles, getting Yugito to compose herself again and look at him.
"And what is this warning?" Yugito asks
"An organization known as the Akatsuki are hunting us down." Naruto answered with a stern look "They have already begun to move. They took the one tailed from Gaara of the sand a few weeks ago and they will be going after you next."
"Why me next?" Yugito asked
"Because they need to collect us in order so they will be able to extract the next one more easily." Naruto replied only to get a confused look from his fellow blonde "You know the more tails they have the more powerful the demon." Naruto offered as Yugito nodded "So to strengthen their seals they gather the weaker ones first than use that power to strengthen it for sealing the more powerful ones." Naruto explains
"Makes sense." Yugito replies
"I have been moving around the past three years gathering intel and warning the other Jinchuuriki and their Kages about this threat. I was on my way to tell you and the eight about it when they attacked Gaara and I had to change plans and went to assist him but I was too late to save our brother." Naruto explains with a sad look.
"How do I know this is true? This could be just ruse from the leaf." Yugito replied
"Because I've despised that place since they ran me out of it on my fifth birthday." Naruto replied
"Then why are you traveling with the fifth Hokage's apprentice?" Yugito asked
"Because whether I like it or not we will need the help of every nation on this one so I had to make short term alliance with them to help deal with this threat." Naruto replied "now I need to speak with Killer Bee and the Raikage to tell them of this."
"You have gotten the other nations in on this then?" Yugito asked
"I have warned all but the land of Iron, and the Rock heard my warning but just blew me off however I did warn their Jinchuuriki about it." Naruto explained "now will you get me that meeting?"
"I still don't know if I should trust you." Yugito replied
"Trust him, if Kurama is asking for help this has got to be bad." The fire cat said
"No one asked you." Yugito said
"And trust me work along with your tailed beast is a lot better than fighting him all the time." Naruto said
"Leave that between me and her." Yugito replied cutting them off.
"Just saying what needs to be said." Naruto shrugged as everything began to fade and Yugito found herself back in the interrogation room staring at her fellow blonde haired Jinchuuriki.
"So will you help me out or will that guy be getting an encore performance." Naruto smirked as he heard a pounding on the window and a muffled yell of profanities.
"Very well I will arrange the meeting." Yugito sighed
"Alright good now about my traveling companion she will be released as well with me." Naruto replied
"Yes she will be released with you." Yugito replied
"Alright just let me know when, till then I will be practicing my singing." Naruto replied as he began singing again and the mirror was almost broken from the pounding on it.
In the Raikage's office Naruto along with Sakura stood in front of the Raikage's desk while Yugito stood next to her leader.
"So where is Killer Bee?" Naruto asks
"My brother is on his way." The Raikage replied "now can you enlighten us on this new threat, this Akatsuki?" he asked
"Once Bee is here I don't want to repeat myself or have things lost in transition to him." Naruto replied
Just then they heard a knock at the door, once the door opened a large man with dark skin and white hair wearing eight swords and sun glasses walks in.
"Yo yo yo what's up big brother A from the fray?" Killer Bee asked in a rhyming voice.
"Shut up you bumbling idiot, we have a guest here to speak to us." The Raikage said getting annoyed.
"Must be a pity for little miss kitty to come out and pout about a mission I know nothing about." Bee rhymed.
"Enough with your ridiculous rhyming." The Raikage said getting even madder as Bee looked over at Naruto who just looked back.
"This must be the fox that wear's the socks around his co…" Bee began
"You finish that and I will cut the word I just stopped you from saying off of you." Naruto said in an annoyed voice getting Bee to immediately stop his rhyme. "good now since it seems you figured out who I am right away you're in good relations with Gyuki then?"
"Yeah me and eight are hell up tight." Bee Rhymed
"I feel sorry for you brother." Kurama chuckled in through their tailed beast connection.
"You have no goddamn idea, but at least he is a good guy if only he would stop that incessant rapping he would be the best host I could ask for." Gyuki sighed
"At least yours treat you as an equal mine just keeps me locked up and treats me as a burden and a weapon." Matatabi complained
"Don't worry I'll have Naruto talk to them about that." Kurama said
"Thanks." Matatabi sighed
"Now to get to the issue we came here for the Akatsuki." Kurama said
Mean while on the outside the meeting began.
"Alright Fox tell us what you came here to say and I will make my decision based on what I hear." The Raikage replied
"Very well there is a group known as the Akatsuki roaming around trying to collect up the tailed beasts, for what purpose I am not one hundred percent sure yet." Naruto explained
"What other reason to gather such power than to cause havoc and cause to crush the nations." The Raikage asked
"That's just it sixteen years ago the nine tailed fox was sealed inside a woman named Kushina Uzumaki the day I was born the seal weakened and a man took advantage of that to release him on to the leaf." Naruto explained
"Yes then the fourth Hokage sacrificed himself to defeat the beast or well from what these two say sealed him within you." the Raikage said
"Yes my father sealed him in me that day." Naruto began.
"Wait your father was the yellow flash?" The Raikage said with shock in his eyes
"Every fucking time, how is that so hard to believe just look at a picture of him and me strong family resemblance there." Naruto sighed as he put his fingers to the bridge of his nose and shook his head
"It's just a bit of a shock to find out he had a kid. He is one of the few enemies I respected." The Raikage said as he sat back in to his seat "And you believe this man is working with the Akatsuki?" he asked
"Yes." Naruto said
"Than just pushes for the meaning they are trying to destroy the villages." The Raikage replied
"No because I ran into another Jinchuuriki three years ago who was being manipulated by the same man." Naruto replied
"And who was this?" the Raikage asked
"The fourth Mizukage along with the three tails." Naruto said "after a long battle with him I killed him releasing them from the man's manipulation."
"My report says that the current Mizukage Mei defeated him." The Raikage said
"I told her to say that I didn't like the fact I had to kill someone I would consider a brother, also it would help her maintain control of her village if they believed she did it." Naruto said "and trust me that place needs her to settle things down."
"Agreed that place was beginning to become a pain in my side until she took over." The Raikage sighed "So I won't do anything to destabilize it, but as you were saying with this man."
"I haven't found anything linking him to the Akatsuki yet but he seems to be a man who likes to pull the strings from the shadows wouldn't surprise me if he is controlling them like he was controlling the mist." Naruto explained
"And his end goal?" The Raikage asked
"Not sure he hasn't tipped his hand yet but I would guess some kind of control not just destruction, so not good for anyone." Naruto said "This is a threat to all the nations not just one."
"And your telling us to fight this enemy for you? To start an alliance with the other nations such as the leaf…" he says gesturing toward Sakura. "To defeat this enemy for you? What's the angle you're working?"
"No I fight my own battles, that masked son of a bitch is mine." Naruto said grinding his teeth a bit "But the organization is a threat to everyone especially the Jinchuuriki." Naruto says. But only received a hard star from the man saying he wasn't convinced. "Look I don't give two shits what the hell you do with the information I told you." he said getting a cocked eye brow for the massive Kage "I came here to deliver this message to them, not you but if you would listen it would make it easier for them to fight off this threat and protect themselves."
"And why do you care about them so much?" the Raikage asked
"Because I grew up on the streets my entire life with no one, no family nothing. When I was five I was run out of the leaf village and I found out I had the fox sealed in me. Most people may have been scared or even despised him for what they had to go through because of him." Naruto said looking over at Yugito who just dropped her head a bit. "But for the first time I found out I wasn't alone and when he told me there where others like me out there I swore if I ever met them I would consider them family because they were like me and probably went through the same hardships I did." Naruto explained then looked between the Raikage and Bee "You called him your brother before he got here, wouldn't you do anything to protect him? I may not share his blood but we have bared the same burden the three of us, I have made many friends over the years but no one can understand that burden so I will protect those who have with everything I got." He explained, as he finished Bee walked up and held out his fist to him.
"Pound it my man with the plan and prove you ain't no fool. Ya fool" Bee said getting an awkward look from Naruto but he shrugged and pounded the fist. After a moment Bee pulled his fist away and said "Big Bro he deserves our trust or we'll bust for he speaks the truth for he is a true sleuth."
"All I got from that is we should trust you and you speak the truth." The Raikage said a bit confused looking at his brother who just nodded "Very well my brother is a good judge of character so if he trusts you so will I now tell me everything you know about them."
"Well they are all S- class missing nins that only travel in pairs and wear black cloaks with red clouds." Naruto said as Yugito's eyes widened in shock
"Lord Raikage I just got a report about two suspicious men matching that description this morning I was going to check them out when I got the report of him wanting to speak with me." Yugito said
"Well good thing I got here when I did or else it may have been too late." Naruto said getting a nod from all three of them
"Very well I will send you two to go take care of them." The Raikage said
"Sir I would advise against that because these are the two they want sending them right into their hands." Naruto said
"Perhaps but as you said they are S-class ninja's and these are my two best ninja's if they can't handle them no one in my village can except for me." The Raikage said
"Very well I will go with, they won't be expecting two much less three." Naruto said
"Very well we will speak more when you get done." The Raikage said as all four of them left and headed out.
After running to the small town the two Akatsuki members where spotted they stopped just outside to set up a plan.
"Alright what's the plan?" Yugito asks
"First you're going to go out there and test them out see their abilities and try to get them to slip any intel we could use than me and Bee will come in and finish them off." Naruto said
"And what about me?" Sakura asked
"You hold back here." Naruto said
"What?" Sakura asked in shock "Why? I can fight I am just as strong as any of you." she defended her self
"One no you aren't we are Jinchuuriki and we have demons backing us up, two this is our fight they are here for us not you so stay out of the way, and you're the medic you job is to hold back and come in and patch us up when shit gets bad. Yes you may have that monstrous strength but that is for just in case not head to head fighting." Naruto said matching her glare
"Fine." She said relenting "I'll hold here and come in if you need me to heal you."
"Good now let's go." Naruto said as Yugito went into the city to find her enemy, with the other three following.
While the team moved through the town they realized no one was there. No towns folks, no traders no one at all.
"This is creepy, it's like this town is dead." Sakura said.
"I'm not liking this." Yugito said when she stopped and pointed at something and said "what's that?" the group walked over to an emblem on the ground it was a red circle with a triangle inside it.
"Oh great, not this one." Naruto sighed
"What is it?" Yugito asked
"If my contacts are right this fucker is…" Naruto starts
"Immortal." Came a new voice, causing everyone but Naruto to swing around weapons drawn and Naruto to just smirk.
"Well guess that plan is out the window." Naruto said as he stood up and turned to see two men one with white hair holding a three bladed scythe and another with his face covered and green eyes.
"Ah looks like we got three for the price of one." Said the man with green eyes. "I always like getting a deal."
"Well this is one deal you won't be getting Kakuzu." Naruto said
"Ah a simple demon knows my name I am honored." Kakuzu said sarcastically
"Ah not just a simple demon but a fellow bounty hunter." Naruto said
"Ah always nice to a fellow pursuer of fortune." Kakuzu said "But unfortunately for you, you won't be getting away."
"I just want to know why are you collecting Jinchuuriki?" Naruto asked
"Simple money my dear boy." Kakuzu said
"Oh its more than that, the last of your organization wasn't doing it for money and you don't look like someone who likes to share in the profit. What is your goal since you only believe in money?" Naruto said
"Ah once we collect all of you we can control the all wars and manage them for our own profits so call it an investment." Kakuzu said "But not like any of that matters to any of you since you will soon be torn from your demons and be no more than husks. But that one she is no demon maybe this trip will turn up a little profit if she has anything on her head." He said pointing at Sakura and that got a deep growl from Naruto who shook it away
'Did he just growl at that threat?' Sakura asked herself
"Oh yeah he did maybe he is finally seeing you as a girlfriend with all the time we spent together." Inner said in hope
'The hell was that?' Naruto asked himself then shook it off "anyway guess it's time for plan B" he said looking at the rest of them
"Plan B?" Sakura and Yugito repeated in confusion.
"Plan B." Naruto said with a smile and a nod.
"KILLER BEE!" Killer Bee shouted as he shot straight at Kakuzu drawing his swords and shortly followed by Naruto who went after the man with the scythe.
"You deal with Kakuzu I'll deal with Hidan." Naruto yelled as his long swords clashed with Hiden's scythe.
"Don't worry little brother fox, I'll take care of this money grubbing honey." Bee said in his rhyming tone as Yugito joined him in the fight.
"Yeah we'll take care of him." Yugito said as Naruto fought Hidan back away from the others
"Alright," he called over to them. "Well if you want me come get me you heathenistic pagan." Naruto said as he jumped away from the fight
"What how dare you insult the great Lord Jashin." Hidan yelled as he ran after Naruto.
'What should I do?' Sakura asked herself
"Simple these two have this guy under control; Naruto-kun is all alone so go after your man." Inner yelled in her head.
'He isn't my man.' Sakura shot back in shock
"Just shut up and go after him already." Inner replied
Naruto ran into the woods away from the town, he stopped in the middle of an open field.
"You ready to die as I sacrifice you're soul to Jashin?" Hidan said
"Na not really just wanted to have a good fight and talk." Naruto said
"Then let us begin." Hidan said with a smirk as he and Naruto clashed blades, Naruto swung his blades down and cut across Hidan's gut causing him to bend over holding his stomach as Naruto jumped away.
"Hahahahah." Came Hidan's voice "ahahaha, you think a simple cut will take me down?" he laughed "I serve the great Lord Jashin and he has blessed me immortality as long as I provide him fresh souls"
"Now this is going to be a fight." Naruto said as he held up his blades
Mean while just outside the forest Sakura followed after the two
'Damn why are they so fast?' she asked herself
"Probably because they are used to fighting and running around, where we are used to being in a hospital." Inner said
After a short time she came upon the clearing Naruto and Hidan where doing battle. Sakura saw a tired Naruto with blood covered swords.
"Well would you look at that your little whore." Hidan said looking over at Sakura and threw his scythe as the handle extended into a whip. Naruto ran but was too late as the three blades cut across Sakura's arm.
"Ahahha now you will be a sacrifice for the great Lord Jashin." Hidan said as he licked her blood from his blade and began to make circle with a triangle in it with his blood. His skin turned black with what appeared to be white skeleton. "But first to make you suffer and make it a good kill." He said as he cut his face.
"Ah" Sakura cried out as a cut appeared on her face where Hidan had cut himself.
"I get it now you wound your enemies than use their blood to curse them to take your injuries." Naruto said as he scanned everything.
"Very perceptive little demon, once I'm done with your whore I will move on to you." Hidan said as he raised the pointed base of his scythe to his chest.
"Well two things." Naruto said as he as he put his hands together to form a seal. "one she isn't my whore just someone I'm stuck with till I wipe you and your organization off the map. Two you need that seal on the ground to complete your curse correct?" he asked as chakra began to form
"If you hurt me you'll only be hurting her." Hidan said with a smirk
"I get that but even if I'm stuck with her she is still my partner and I never betray my partners." Naruto said as he flew through some seals and slammed his hand on the ground. Just then chains ripped out of the ground piercing through Hidans arms then a third into his back and pulled him to the ground holding him there.
"Ha you may have immobilized me but you have killed your precious little partner as a result." Hidan laughed.
"Hey pinky you feeling anything over there?" Naruto called over his shoulder and Sakura looked over her body and she didn't have a scratch other than the first one she had received
"But how all my injuries should off passed to her." Hidan said in confusion
"Just look down for your answer." Naruto smirked as Hidan's eyes widened as he saw the chains were coming out of the ground at where the triangle met the circle breaking his seal.
"Impossible how did you know that would work?" Hidan yelled in shock
"Didn't but if you put so much effort in making it, it must mean something so better get rid of it, and just to be safe I hit your arms first nothing vital when I noticed that once the seal was broken and she wasn't harmed I went for the spine." Naruto said.
'He could of killed me with that. Little number.' Sakura said to herself in shock
"No he wouldn't have didn't you hear him he said he hit non vital points till he say we wouldn't be harmed, he saved us." Inner shot back
'You're right maybe he does care a little.' Sakura said to her self
"That's right you two belong together." Inner said with a thumbs up.
"Now than, time for you to talk." Naruto responded "what is the Akatsuki's true goal?" Naruto asked
"The hell if I know Pain never tells anyone his true goals, if he did I wasn't paying attention anyway. He gave me what I wanted the ability to kill and give souls to Lord Jashin. So I didn't care about his goals." Hidan said.
"Very well I believe you." Naruto said
"Don't rightly care if you do or don't you can do your worst to me, lord Jashin blessed my soul with immortality. So no matter what you do to me you won't kill me." Hidan laughed.
"Oh he is only the gate keeper between this world and the next and won't allow you to pass." Naruto said as Hidan got a look of confusion on his face.
"How does a godless heathen know of the great Lord Jashin?" Hidan asked
"Simple once I found out about the demon in me I asked him about the other deities." Naruto said getting an intrigued look from Hidan. "And he said that Jashins followers cannot pass to the realm of the dead for he sends them back to their bodies and restores their bodies for them."
"What are you getting at?" Hidan asked
"Simple I won't be sending your soul to the gates; I'm sending it to a demons belly." Naruto smirked as demonic chakra coated him as well as his chains then he placed his hand on Hidans head.
Hidan found himself in a wet and dark sewer. He looked around for a moment and saw nothing then he heard a deep laugh
"hahaha." Came the voice
"Who is that?" Hidan called out
"Is that fear I sense little man?" the voice asked
"Who is that? Who are you?" Hidan called out again "show yourself." Just then a set of huge razor sharp teeth appeared then a giant set of red eyes.
"My host has never given me a meal like this before. I should thank him for this treat." The voice said as a giant nine tailed fox appeared behind the smile and eyes
"You can't kill me I'm a servant of Lord Jashin." Hidan said with a bit of fear.
"If I ate your body you wouldn't die." Kurama spoke with a grin "but this isn't your body it is your soul that has been thrown into my cage and if I eat that it will remain in my belly for eternity and never reach the gates of the dead where your master turns you away."
"What no impossible." Hidan cried as he looked and saw the bared gates of the cage that held the beast.
"Go ahead try it?" Kurama offered "flee for your pathetic life." He smiled as Hidan made a dash for the gate but just as he was about to reach the gate he saw a person standing on the other side of it. It was Naruto standing on the other side with his arms crossed
"Your god can not help you here." Naruto said and everything went black as Kurama devoured his soul.
Outside Naruto removed his hand from Hidan's head. Hidan's body slumped lifelessly against the chains. Naruto took a step away and then stumbled only to be caught by Sakura who helped him back to his feet with her support.
"Are you alright?" she asked
"Yeah just takes a lot out of me to rip the soul out of someone and feed it to the fox." Naruto sighed
"You what?" Sakura asked in shock
"Yeah can't believed it actually worked." Naruto sighed "but I won't be doing that again anytime soon. Takes a lot out of me." He sighed
"Well thank you." Sakura said "for saving my life… again" she added
"Don't worry about it, it's not like I'm keeping count or anything." He chuckled
"No I mean it if it wasn't for you I would be dead." She said pulling him up looking him in the eyes. For a moment time stopped for the two as they gazed into each other's eyes and neither one of them could move. He got lost in her green eyes as she got lost in his wild red demonic ones. As their faces drew closer they heard an explosion in the distance snapping them out of their trance.
"Damn't soo close." Inner cried
'So close to what?' Sakura asked innocently
"Oh come on you know you wanted to kiss him and it was almost there." inner cried
'I have no idea what you're talking about.' Sakura replied getting inner to go crazy yelling obscenities in her head.
"We need to get back to the others." Naruto said as he pushed himself away from her. But both of them felt a pang of something they couldn't place as they broke away. "but first." Naruto said as he turned back toward Hidan's body and went through some hand signs and the body was wrapped in chains and drug into the ground.
"What did you do?" Sakura asked
"Sealed and buried his body so no one can use it to find out his secrets. Hopefully he was the last of that religion and no one will find how to replicate what he was." Naruto replied as he turned away and jumped off toward the town.
'The hell was that back there?' Naruto asked himself 'that feeling of of I don't even know.' He sighed to himself
"It is the feeling of wholeness." Kurama's voice came.
'Enjoy your meal?' Naruto asked
"Very much so thank you for that." Kurama said in a happy tone.
'Don't get used to it. It takes a lot out of me to do that.' Naruto replied
"The greatest treats are those that are eaten on rare occasions or else one may become too accustomed to them and they lose their taste." Kurama said
'Good to hear, now what did you say earlier?' Naruto asked
"It is a feeling of wholeness, that vixen no matter how much you may deny it she fills in that void in you that you try to bury with your smart mouth and hard nature but I know deep down you just want someone to accept you. She is beginning to accept you and your scared of that just give her a chance." Kurama said
'I have no idea what you're talking about.' Naruto replied as he ran to the town
"Whatever you say." Kurama sighed
Once they reached where they had left the other two, they found most of it destroyed with Bee in his eight tailed form and Yugito in her human form and her nails extended and she was cut and bruised.
"Bout time you got back." Yugito said as she saw Naruto and Sakura come up to them
"What did I miss?" Naruto asked
"He has different hearts for each element we destroyed all but the fire one." Yugito said as Kakuzu fired a fireball at Killer Bee who dodged it as it slammed into a house destroying it.
"Alright I'll help him." Naruto said than looked at Sakura "you help her."
"Alright." She said as she began to heal her.
Naruto jumped up next to Bee and said "Need some help here."
"We were almost in a pinch till now you're here It'll be a synch." Bee rhymed
"You try the bijuu dama." Naruto asked
"No dropping a dama here would cause a lot of drama." Bee replied
"Well maybe we should tone the power back than" Naruto said as he held up his hand and a bijuu dama appeared in his hand and it began to grow in size then stop growing "You take on the heart I'll take care of the body." Naruto said "Just nod if you do, I don't want to hear your rhymes right now." He added as Bee nodded and they shot off toward their targets
"Foolish child." Kakuzu said as he shot vines from his arm wrapping around Naruto to stopping him as Bee smashed the final heart on the other side of the clearing.
"Who's the fool?" Came Naruto's voice from behind Kakuzu as the one in his grips poofed into smoke and an explosion destroyed the Akatsuki member.
"Wow there's nothing left of him." Sakura said in awe as she looked up at where Kakuzu had been standing
"That is the power of a tailed beast." Yugito said as she forced herself up.
"Don't move you're not healed yet." Sakura said
"Don't worry another power of a tailed beast is we heal fast." Yugito said as Bee and Naruto landed next to them
"Let's get back to your village to report mission success." Naruto said as everyone nodded and headed back to the cloud village.
After returning to the village they went straight to the Raikage's office.
"How did it go?" the Raikage asked
"We killed the two Akatsuki members." Yugito replied
"And your thoughts on them." Raikage asked looking at his brother
"They tough as nails, and if we bail we'll be looking mighty pale." Bee replied
"Very well we will help hunt this threat down before they become a true threat." The Raikage said
"Thank you Raikage-sama but I suggest you have her train with Matatabi and get full control of her power." Naruto said gesturing toward Yugito
"Agreed Yugito you will go with Bee and make peace with the two tails so you can fight this new threat.
"Yes Raikage-sama." Yugito said with a bit of a grimace
"You need to let go of that hate you hold toward Matatabi, or else you will never be able to work together." Naruto said
"How? She caused me so much pain and loss." Yugito said looking at him
"It isn't her fault she was sealed in you, so don't blame her." Naruto said to her with a hard glare "But you are stuck together whether you like it or not so I suggest you make your peace so you can survive. Because if you die she will simply be reborn later and free only to be sealed in another or captured by the Akutsuki."
Yugito stared hard at him then relented and sighed "Very well I'll give her a shot, but if she tries to trick me I will have nothing to do with her."
"That is all I ask." Naruto replied
"Thank you." Came Matatabi's voice through the tailed beast link.
"Very well I will be off as well then" Naruto replied
"Where too?" The Raikage asked
"To find my contacts to help take this threat down." Naruto said as the Raikage stood up and walked around his desk.
"Thank you." he said as he extended his hand and Naruto shook it. "For helping protect my brother."
"He is also my brother and she is my sister. There is no thanks needed." Naruto replied
"But you still have it." The Raikage said as he let go of the hand shake "and safe journeys ahead."
"Thank you." Naruto replied as he nodded his head and turned away followed by Sakura as they walked out of the office.
