CHAPTER 23 Confessions
Sakura began to stir and moved her head to look around but found she had a splitting headache.
'Ah god what happened last night?' she thought as she raised her hand to her head.
"We had one too many and blacked out." Inner replied
'That's it no more drinking.' Sakura replied as she realized something was wrapped around her. She looked down to see a pair of hands cupping her bare breasts. she went beat red as she turned her head to see Naruto pressed up against her back with his arms wrapped around her still asleep.
"Well if this is what drinking leads to I think we should do it more often." Inner said with glee.
'Oh I'm going to have his ass for this.' Sakura said grinder her teeth
"Yeah that nice firm ass all ours." Inner replied
'No stop enjoying this.' Sakura shouted in her head.
Meanwhile on the other side of the bed Naruto lay there holding Sakura tightly.
'Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit.' Naruto thought to himself as he tried to think of a way out of this situation.
"Oh this is going to be good" came the fox's voice
'Oh and I bet you're just loving this.' Naruto replied
"Very much so now you've gotten out of worse situations I'm sure you'll be fine." Kurama said mockingly
'Ahaha go fuck yourself, stupid fox.' Naruto mumbled to himself as he began to slowly slide his hands off of Sakura's breasts and pull them back 'Alright nice an easy don't w…'
"N-A-RU-TO-KUN?" came Sakura's angered voice causing the mercenary to freeze. "How long have you been awake?" she asked in a calm yet angry voice.
"Ahhahahha a few minutes now." Naruto replied hesitantly
"You know I'm going to kill you right?" Sakura replied getting more enraged.
"Well only one option I guess." Naruto replied and shot his hands back to their original position and held on tightly getting a surprised yip.
"WHAT THE HELL?" Sakura squealed.
"Well I'm dead anyway so only one option go all out." Naruto replied as he held on for dear life as she began to struggle to get away from him.
"Oh let go now!" She yelled.
"No don't let go whatever you do." Inner replied happily
"I will if you listen and don't pound me into the ground." Naruto cried
"Oh no you're not getting out of this." Sakura replied as she continued to struggle and holding in a moan of pleasure.
"If you don't calm down I'll use my flying thunder god jutsu and jump us to the middle of town square." He replied getting Sakura to freeze up
"Good now listen after I dropped you off last night I went back out and when I came back, in the morning I had forgotten I had left you here and went to sleep like normal. So I'm going to let go now so don't hit me." He said as he slowly removed his hands and pulled away from her.
Sakura wrapped the blanket around herself and turned toward him with an angry blush over her face.
"So we all good?" Naruto asked with a stupid smile as she pulled back her fist and landed a punch square on his face launching him out of bed and through the window and out of sight.
Sakura sat there twitching in anger with a clenched fists.
'How dare he feel me up like that.' Sakura said to herself
"Oh shut up you were enjoying it I heard you hold in that moan." Inner replied
'No I didn't moan.' Sakura replied with a blush. Just then there was a flash of yellow and Naruto was standing on the opposite side of the bed holding his face.
"May not be as hard as the old hags but it still stings." Naruto said as he pulled his hand away from his face and she saw his face contort and reform to its original form "and why the hell did you hit me so hard. I understand a few slaps but you went a little over bored."
"You stripped me down and began feeling me up and god knows what else while I was blacked out." She said still twitching in anger
"Well it seemed to me you wouldn't have minded too much if I had given, how you were acting while drunk." Naruto shot back getting her to stutter stop and freeze.
"Oh really what did we do last night?" inner asked getting excited
"Whwhwhat did I do?" Sakura asked
"Well after you had one to many I brought you back here to sleep it off." Naruto began "When I got you here and were going to put you to bed, you got one look at the bed and kissed me and wanting me to 'join' you in bed. You also unzipped your top." Naruto said getting Sakura to freeze up.
"Oh we are naughty when we're drunk." Inner said with glee. "We should do it more often, or you just accept your feelings for him and we wouldn't need to use alcohol as an excuse."
"Bbbbut that doesn't give you any right to take advantage of me." Sakura said holding the blanket tighter to her body.
"And I didn't" Naruto replied getting her to look at him confused "I don't take advantage of drunk chicks I used a simple genjutsu to put you to sleep and then I headed out again to see if I could find any contacts, but no dice on that, and when I left you still had all your clothes on you took your clothes off yourself." He said looking at her.
"I just wonder what your subconscious had planned for when I got back." Naruto asked "and tell me do you have anything on under that blanket?" he asked getting her to check and she did still have her panties on but not her skirt.
"Oh you would have loved it if I could actually remember." Inner said getting Sakura to shake her head
"I was drunk everyone does stupid things, they wouldn't normally do when their sober." Sakura defended
"From my experience most people do things they bottle up when their drunk." Naruto said raising an eyebrow getting Sakura to freeze up in fear of being found out. "However I don't really care what you bottle up as long as it doesn't interfere with the mission." He shrugged as he turned and walked out of the room while grabbing his pants and putting them on as he walked out.
'Thank god he dropped it.' Sakura sighed in relief
"No no get your ass back in here and keep pushing for more till she confesses it." Inner yelled in her head then sighed in defeat.
On the other side of the wall Naruto leaned against the door deep in thought.
'Well this ain't good.' Naruto said to himself
"What the fact you're actually opening your eyes and seeing what I've been seeing for the past couple years?" Kurama asked
'Oh shut up, this is bad.' Naruto replied
"Why you like her she likes you, she is pretty much naked in your bed, I say go back in there and have a grand ol time." Kurama relied
'Oh shut up you perverted fox you're almost as bad as that old perverted sage.' Naruto retorted
"But I have a point you do like her and she likes you, even though you're both to stubborn to admit it. I don't see what the problem is here." Kurama shot back at him getting a little annoyed
'She is from the village I'm a renegade mercenary it just wouldn't work out'. Naruto said as he pushed off the wall and walked to the kitchen
"Kit you've been through more than anyone your age as well as those twice your age and you've been alone that whole time. You deserve to have someone to care for you and for you to care for them." Kurama sighed
'Thought that's what you were for?' Naruto smirked
"We both know it's not the same." Kurama replied
Naruto didn't respond as he walked into the kitchen and pulled out some eggs and bacon then turned on the stove.
"Damn't kit I'm getting tired of your feel sorry for yourself attitude." Kurama scolded "you have a chance at a decent human relationship and you're just pissing it away, before it was you hated her for that night. Then you found out it was a misunderstanding. After that you grew to like her don't deny it, but you didn't know her feelings on the matter and didn't pursue it. Now you know she has feeling for you even if she is as stubborn as you are about admitting them. So now tell me what the fuck is holding you back?!" Kurama yelled at Naruto
'Maybe I'm not ready for something like that huh, ever think of that? Yeah sure I tease and joke but when it comes to an actual relationship I have no idea what the hell I'm doing.' Naruto shot back
"When the hell has that ever stopped you before? I can't even begin to count the number of times you didn't know what the hell you were doing and still went head long in to the worst situations you could of imagined." Kurama scolded
'Well in those situations only thing I had to worry about was myself. If I messed up only I would be fucked up for it. If I mess this up she would be hurt and for some reason I can't stand the thought of seeing her hurt.' Naruto sighed as he cooked up breakfast.
"Think how hurt she will be if she actually admits those feelings she has for you and you don't reciprocate them?" Kurama asked
'Well we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.' Naruto sighed as Sakura walked out of his bed room with her clothes from the night before on.
"You hungry?" Naruto asked
"Oh ah yeah." Sakura said as she seemed to come out of her thoughts and smelled the eggs and bacon "That smells really good." She said as she sat down at the table
"Yeah eggs and bacon pretty hard to mess this up." Naruto said as he pulled them off the stove and on to a plate. "Here eat up best way to get over a hangover is to get something in your stomach" Naruto said as he placed a plate in front of here.
"Thanks." She said as she began to eat and he made himself a plate and sat down across from her. The pair sat in silence eating breakfast, once Naruto was done he stood and walked to the sink to put away his plate when he heard that ever present voice again
"Fucking say something to her." The fox demanded as he tried to tune the fox out he turned to see Sakura was standing right behind him
"Ah about last night." She began
"Don't worry about it like you said too much to drink can make you do and say some crazy shit." Naruto said trying to dodge the situation.
"No you were right I have been holding it in." she said getting Naruto to freeze in place "I I I think I hhave feelings for you." She stuttered out
"Think? Bullshit we totally have feeling for him." Came inners voice
"What I'm saying is I like you." She spat out and jumped forward pressing her lips against his. He just stood there frozen in shock. She pulled away and waited for him to respond.
After a few moments he finally began to move a bit shaking himself out of his stupor and looked back at her. "Well I ah well ah…" he began and then disappeared in a flash of light.
"The fuck just happened?" inner asked "Did he just ditch us? After we confessed he just leaves oh that bastard I'll kill him." Inner starts ranting
"Well I guess that's his answer then." Sakura says as she walks to the chair and sits down slouching and putting her head in her hands and begins to cry.
Naruto finds himself on the top of the cliff face overlooking the demon islands still in shock at what had just been revealed to him.
"The fuck are you doing?!" the fox's voice screamed in his head "You just had the girl you have feelings for confess to you, and what do you do? You run like a scared little bitch. What is wrong with you?"
"I don't know I just heard that and I froze up I didn't know what to do." Naruto sighed as he fell back on to his back looking up at the sky
"Oh I don't know maybe something like 'oh I feel the same way' or 'I like you as well' not 'kay bye' and fucking disappear." Kurama barked
"I just don't know I've never felt this way before." Naruto said
"Fucking tell her that." Kurama shot back at him
"I just I just don't want to hurt her." Naruto said "because if we do start this I don't know how it will turn out. Like I said…" he began but was cut off
"Oh you don't want to hurt her?" Kurama mocked "How do you think she feels now she just laid her heart to bare right in front of you. If you couldn't tell she was struggling to tell you that and you just ran the fuck away. She is probably devastated right now if you don't want to hurt her go back there and give her a goddamn answer. And so the fuck what if she is from the village and you're a renegade merc at least give it a shot if it doesn't work it doesn't work and you two can grow from it. What did I tell you all those years ago about hesitation?"
"That it is better to try and fail than to not try at all, because if you don't try you never know if you could have succeeded." Naruto said as he sat up and let out a sigh "alright I'll go and talk to her"
"And fucking apologize I know it's one thing I told you never to do but this is the one exception" Kurama said
"Thanks" Naruto said as he disappeared in a flash of light again.
Back in Naruto's home Sakura's had been crying ever since he left. Just then she heard a crack and a flash of light. She looked up and saw the man of her dismay. She tried to pull back her tears and stood up to look at him.
"I'm sorry I…" Naruto began
"If you were just going to shoot me down you didn't need to run off like that." She said through her held back tears "You could have just told me straight away." She said as he voice began to rise in anger
"Woe calm down I'm…" Naruto began
"Just don't string me along." She said as she raised her hand and swung it toward his face. But before it made contact it was caught and she found herself pressed up against his chest as she looked up into his eyes "Let me go." She demanded and began to struggle.
"I was trying to apologies for running off like that." Naruto said getting her to freeze up and look back up at him with a bit of hope "I am not so good when it comes to the feelings of others let alone my own. When you told me that I got scared and had to think a few things out." He said as she looked up at him and the little hope she had begun to die "I have never had a girl that I felt something for confess to me." At hearing this she perked up with renewed hope "There I said it I do like you but this whole feelings thing is new territory for me and I don't know exactly how to deal with it so you'll have to give me a little slack." He said as she smiled and tears of joy began to roll down her face as she jumped up in while in his arms and kissed him again.
"Yes of course." She said with joy.
"But let's just take it slow alright." Naruto said calmly as he let go of her
"Oh yeah of course." She said as she took a step away from him.
"Well we should head out and hit up some of my contacts in the next town." Naruto said a little awkwardly trying to change the topic.
"Oh ah yeah I'll go take a shower and change into some fresh clothes." Sakura said as she turned toward the bedroom to grab a change of clothes.
"You can use the washer and dryer in there if you want to clean your old clothes as well." Naruto replied as she walked into his bedroom.
"Well that was a tense moment." Came the Kurama's voice.
'Yeah no shit.' Naruto sighed and relaxed his body not realizing how tense he was.
"Well it is out of the way and you now have a girlfriend." Kurama said in a fake prideful manner "Never thought I would see this day." He continued with fake tears
'Oh go fuck yourself you damn Fox. We are taking it slow so I wouldn't say girlfriend quite yet, but will definitely work on it.' He said 'just hope I don't fuck this up.' He added to himself
Meanwhile in his bathroom Sakura was all smiles as she got ready for a shower.
'Yes I can't believe I did it I told him how I felt and he feels the same way.' She rejoiced in her head.
"Alright don't be getting cocky we haven't landed him just yet." Came inners voice
'What do you mean?' Sakura asked 'We told him how we felt and he said he cared for us as well.'
"He said this is new and strange territory for him as well, and that we should take things slow. So unless you want to scare him off calm down and don't come on to him like a school girl fawning over the newest teen idol." Inner berated as Sakura turned on the hot water and stepped into the shower.
'But you're the one who was pushing and pushing for me to go after him.' Sakura shot back
"Yes and now that you have started the seed you don't want to over water it and flood it out. You need care for it and work with it slowly till it can stand on its own and then shower it more when its roots are more dug in." inner explained
'We've been hanging around Ino to long.' Sakura sighed
"Perhaps but doesn't make what I said any less true." Inner replied
'Fine tell me go full bore now hold back you really need to make up your mind you know that right.' Sakura shot back at her inner self.
"Well since I'm you, you need to make up your mind." Inner countered.
'Don't start with that whole we are one and the same again.' Sakura sighed
"Fine I'll just do what we both want." Inner sighed with an evil grin and an image of Naruto walking into the shower appeared in her mind. Causing her to shake her head getting it out of her head.
'What are you doing I thought you just said take it slow?' Sakura berated her inner mind
"I did, I told you to take it slow with him however this is your mind and we can go as fast as we want in here till we get the real thing." Inner replied with a pervish grin "and now that you have accepted those feeling I can show you all the little fun things I've planned out since we met him."
'Well I guess it could be fun to see what you've thought up.' Sakura said in defeat as inner's smile got more perverted rivaling Jiraiya's own smile and the image of Naruto walking into the shower entered her mind once more.
"ACHOO." Naruto sneezed
"She must be thinking about you in there." Kurama said with a grin. "I wonder what she has you doing to her?"
'Oh stop being perverted.' Naruto shot back as he looked over at the door of the bathroom then back to the four small foxes sitting on his table
"So any reports of Akatsuki movement?" Naruto asked
"Negative." Three spoke up getting Naruto to look at the fourth waiting for an answer
"I'm not sure if it is related to them or not but some graves have been robbed and bodies removed at the fire temple and when I went to investigate I sensed demonic energy." The fox explained
"Really any idea from what it could have been, Isobu possibly? He is still MIA since our battle." Naruto asked
"Unsure but it felt like lord Kyubi's chakra." The fox replied getting Naruto to look at him with a bit of shock
"That is odd I'll have to go investigate it personally then, if it involves Kurama's chakra." Naruto said more to himself then the foxes. "Very well good work continue to look for any Akatsuki movements." He ordered as all four of the foxes nodded and vanished in poofs of smoke.
Just then a shadow twisted and a black six tailed fox emerged from it.
"Ah Kuza good to see you." Naruto said "so you deliver the bounties?"
"Yep and here is the payment." Kuza said as he laid two scrolls on the table.
"Alright good now I have a new mission for you." Naruto replied
"Damn't I just got back I need some sleep." Kuza whined
"Fine take a day or so to rest up but I need you to get a message out for me." Naruto said
"I'm not a damn messenger fox can't you get someone else to do it?" Kuza complained
"You're the only on I trust with this one." Naruto replied
"Who is the message for?" Kuza sighed
"The raven." Naruto said in a serious tone getting Kuza to look at him with a bit of shock but understanding.
"Fine I'll head out tomorrow morning." Kuza said with seriousness as Naruto handed him a scroll.
