Rest in peace, Cory.

Be strong, those who loved him and love him still.

Goodbye

Mr. Schue gives him the jacket back the following day.

He puts it on and cries alone in the choir room after everyone leaves, until Rachel comes in, hugs him, buries her face in his chest and cries with him. His arms wrap around her and he's sorry they can't be longer, stronger, more comforting.

Together, they breathe in the distant scent of the jacket. When they have to leave, they find Santana and give her the jacket. She doesn't cry, but she does hug them. Rachel doesn't cry either. Kurt does, little tears rolling silently down his face. He won't admit it, but he wanted the jacket for himself.

An hour later, Blaine drives them both to the airport. It's too quiet in the car, and Kurt feels like he's about to choke. Rachel looks out of the window and says nothing- she hasn't even cries since they left her fathers' house after picking up her bags.

Blaine holds his hand, moving his thumb back and forth on the milky-white skin.

Santana's not there- they don't know where she is, but she didn't say anything about going back with them. Or before or after they do, for that matter.

They're silent when they get out the car and pull their bags from the trunk. Kurt stopped crying five minutes ago, but his eyes are still red. Blaine kisses him lightly, hugs him, and then hugs Rachel for a long while; he's crying when she isn't.

Kurt doesn't want to say the words "I love you" to Blaine in front of Rachel, so he just squeezes Blaine's hand; a promise. Blaine nods, serious.

They all hug once more, and then Blaine returns to his car, leaving Kurt and Rachel to walk slowly, hand in hand, into the airport. They don't let go of each other's hands until they're seated on the plane, and even then it's only so they can cuddle together, both closing their eyes and knowing sleep won't come.
