Cat: Ok, so this isn't the best chapter ever, my appologies... there's... Just not much for Yuzu to think about during this duel, you know?

Rena: Please review!

Cat: This story is in Yuzu's POV. Please give me some artistic licence. If i put some stuff that isn't in the anime in here, don't flame. There would be no point in reading, if it was just the anime in words.

Chapter 28- Ayu's Entertainment Aquarium

We all watched as Ayu shuffled her deck, muttering to herself. "All right! Charge complete!" she cheered, holding her deck up in pride.

"Ayu's really getting into it!" Yuya grinned.

"Well, that's because of my shiver-inducing victory," Futoshi smirked, his hand on his chin. "Of course she's into it!" I giggled at his words, wondering if he could sound anymore cute but ridiculous.

"Sensei!" a cry came from beside us. We turned to see a woman with dark red hair tied up in a bun, with two blue headbands crossing over her forehead. She wore a light yellow poncho and many different necklaces. Beside her stood a man holding a camera. "Thank you for taking care of our daughter!" she praised my father.

"Ayu-chan's mother and father!" my dad said in response.

"Ayu is cute today as well!" her father gushed, staring at his young daughter through the camera lens.

"Hey! You need to at least say hello to sensei as well!" Ayu mother sighed.

"No, no! It is quite fine! Take as much film as you can, sir," my dad smiled, waving his hand slightly. "This is Ayu-chan's big moment! With the Action Duel training that Ayu has received from You Show Duel School, she is sure to be a star one day! When that happens, footage like this will be a national treasure!"

Ayu's father laughed, still watching his daughter down the camera. "Ayu is already our star! Ayu! Look this way!" he called to the girl, who spun around and waved, which earned a lot of praise from him.

"Now, onto our next match for the Miami Championship in Junior Class!" the MC announced. "The players are making their first appearances in Junior Championship, Ayu-chan and Layra-kun! I look forward to finding out what kind of duel they will show us! Especially as Layra-kun is LDS' treasured child!"

Hold up. LDS' special child!? What the heck does that mean?

"Ayu! Don't lose to those jerks from LDS!" my dad started shouting loudly. "Win no matter what!"

"Yeah!" Ayu smiled, oblivious to the pressure my dad was putting her under.

"As Ayu-chan heads to the field full of energy, Layra-kun is…? Huh?" The MC paused and I looked over at Ayu's opponent. He wasn't moving. He just stood there.

"I wonder what's wrong with her opponent?" I muttered to myself, as the MC walked over and tried talking to the boy who looked like he had stayed up all night, drinking coffee.

"It looks like he's afraid of something, isn't it?" Gongenzaka stared on.

"Afraid of… Ayu?" Yuya said slowly, obviously unable to process the idea of someone being so afraid of the cute little girl.

"Layra-kun, are you ready to start?" the woman tried to engage the young boy but he stood, petrified. Then, he shoved the bear plushie he had been holding at the woman, who took it from him confusedly, and walked out onto the tiny arena.

We were all amazed at this kid's lack of enthusiasm as the Action Field was played and the duel began. It obviously irked Ayu slightly but, luckily, she didn't let it get to her.

"Alright! My turn!" Ayu smiled. "I summon Aqua Actress Guppy from my hand!" Then, an adorable pink fish landed onto the field, where it began sweltering in the beating sun of the Action field, 'Mr. Sun's Canyon' or whatever it was called. It was too hot for fish anyway. "Sorry for summoning you where you might get sunburned, Guppy," she apologised. "I'll put you in water right away!"

"Next, I play the Continuous magic: Aquarium Stage from my hand!" she announced. We watched as water started flowing into the field, completely submerging it. "Aquarium Stage makes it so that any water monster I control cannot be destroyed in battle, except by other water monsters!"

"There's still more to come!" she continued, showing her opponent another card (though he didn't seem the least bit interested). "I activate the continuous magic: Aquarium Set! Aquarium Set raises the attack points of every 'Aqua Actress' by 600 points!"

The underwater canyon was now full of underwater plants and fish, swimming around. Behind Ayu was a traditional watermill. The spectators all gasped at the sight.

"And, on top of that, I activate the continuous magic: Aquarium Lighting!" she slammed the third magic card onto the disk. "Aquarium Lighting doubles the attack points of every 'Aqua Actress' during battle!"

"Errr… Guys?" I glanced at Yuya. "You don't think she's going to try and-"

"Battle! I direct attack with Aqua Actress Guppy!" Ayu smiled.

ERROR.

"Huh? Why is there an error?" Ayu asked weakly, staring over at the pink fish, which wasn't moving anywhere.

"Ayu-chan!" the MC called over (thankfully not over the mic). "You can't attack on the first turn!"

Ayu blinked, then realisation dawned on her face. "Oh! Of course! I messed up!" she hit herself on the head playfully and smiled.

"Ayu… Come on!" Tatsuya sighed, both him and Futoshi looking unimpressed.

"Don't worry, Ayu!" Yuya shouted.

"Failure is the first step towards success!" Gongenzaka encouraged her. "Don't let it bother you and keep trying!"

"I set one card and end my turn!" Ayu announced, handing it over to her silent opponent.

"My turn," the boy whispered. "Draw. I activate the Magic card: Persona Shutter- Layer 1 from my hand. This card completely copies my opponent's monster. However, if that card is removed from the field then this card is destroyed. I target Aqua Actress Guppy."

Suddenly, there were two Guppys but Ayu didn't seem at all bothered by that. In fact, she was overjoyed. "Yay! My Aquarium got more fish!" she smiled.

"So that card can copy any monster, no matter how strong it is?" Tatsuya asked, realising how dangerous that card truly is.

"Due to the effect of 'Aquarium Set', the attack of Aqua Actresses go up by 600 points. I set one card then end my turn," the boy said quietly.

"My turn! Draw!" Ayu giggled as she drew her next card. "I'm going to add more fish to my aquarium! I summon Aqua Actress Tetra!"

The girl also explained that, due to the effect of 'Aquarium Set', the monster's attack rose by 600 points, to 900.

"The attack went up…but…" Futoshi stared over at the pink and blue fish.

"It can't compete with her opponent's Guppy copy…" Tatsuya muttered.

"When the two Guppys with equal attack power attack, both of their attacks are doubled by 'Aquarium Lighting'…" Yuya said.

"So, it'll just end in a draw…" my dad sighed.

"In a time like this!" Ayu jumped onto Tetra's back and they began to slowly swim away. "We need an Action Card! Alright! Let's set off and search for Action Cards!"

Slowly, they paddled around, searching for a card. Eventually, they found one and floated back to the underground building that Ayu had constructed in her first turn.

"I'm battling!" Ayu announced. "I use my Aqua Actress Guppy to attack Layra-kun's Guppy! At this moment, I'm activating the Action Magic: Mr Sun's Cheer! This card increases one monsters attack points by 400!"

"Great! Now she'll be able to deal 400 points of damage to her opponent!" Futoshi cheered.

"No, that's not right," Tatsuya smiled.

"Due to the effect of the continuous magic 'Aquarium Lighting', when an Aqua Actress battles, the attack in doubled!" Ayu said. I grinned as Ayu's monster hit 3200 points. "Go Guppy!"

Her opponent's monster was destroyed and he only winced, still not caring.

"Next up, I'll make a direct attack with Aqua Actress Tetra!" Ayu announced, as the fish catapulted itself into the boy's face, his life dropping to 2300.

"This is the practical application of Action Cards!" my dad told Ayu's parents. "You Show Duel School's Entertainment Duelling!" I smiled at him, glad he wasn't making a fool of himself. Or so I thought, as he turned to the crowd and shouted at them, telling them to apply for our school.

"Cut it out!" I snapped, slapping the back of his head with my fan.

"Aquarium Lighting and Mr. Sun's Cheer are only active during battle," Ayu explained. "Guppy's attack returns to normal! With this I end my turn!"

"And I think I'll end my turn too," Sora sighed, not enthralled by the slow pace of the Junior's duel. He excused himself as 'off to go see other schools and see it there were any threats'.

"My turn, draw," her opponent murmured. "I activate the magic card: Persona Shutter- Level 2 from my hand. Cards on my opponent's field cannot be effected by my opponent's card effects…"

And, just like that, the whole side of Ayu's aquarium turned grey.

"Huh? The aquarium I just made is…?" Ayu wailed.

"I activate the magic card: Persona Shutter- level 1 from my hand," Layra showed Ayu the card briefly before activating it.

"That one again?" I asked.

"I copy Aqua Actress Guppy with this card. My Guppy's attack points goes up by 600 due to Aquarium Set's effect."

After explaining what was going on to Futoshi and Tatsuya, how even though Ayu couldn't use her cards, Layra could, they began complaining about how unfair it was.

"I attack Tetra with Guppy," the boy said lifelessly. The fish vanished and Ayu's points shot down to 1900.

"Ayu-chan! Do your best!" I shouted down to her, seeing how upset she looked.

"Ayu! Make a comeback! That's real entertainment!" Yuya cheered.

"I can make a comeback with Entertainment, just like Yuya-oniichan!" Ayu shouted. "I draw! I release Guppy to advance summon Aqua Actress Arowana!"

"When the copied monster leaves the field, my Persona Shutter- Level 1 is destroyed," Layra muttered, as his fish vanished too.

In place of Guppy, a huge fish was in her place, with 2000 attack points.

"She sent that copy monster to the graveyard with that advanced summon! Talk about killing two birds with one stone!" my dad grinned.

"Battle!" Ayu announced. "I make a direct attack with Aqua Actress Arowana!"

"Yes!" Futoshi cried.

"Trap, activate. Persona Shutter- Instant," Layra said. "When an opponent makes a direct attack I can special summon this card to the field as a copy of the attacking monster."

"Oh no," I moaned, as the huge fish was mirrored on the other side of the field.

"And with Aquarium Set's effect, my monster's attack goes up by 600 points."

"Then I'll also activate a trap!" Ayu said immediately. "Trap: Aqua Story- Urashima activated By banishing two level 4 or lower 'Aqua Actresses' from my graveyard, I can make my opponent's monsters attack 100! I banish Guppy and Tetra!"

"To think she had that card ready!" I praised the girl, witnessing the improvement from the last time I saw her duel.

"She's gotten pretty good!" Gongenzaka nodded.

"Cards effected by Aqua Story- Urushima are unaffected by other effects that change their attack this turn! I attack that old granny Arowana with my Aqua Actress Arowana!"

"She did it! Nice one, Ayu!" our whole group cheered loudly as the boy's life points rocketed past the safety line and was now at 400. Ayu had taken the lead again.

"I end my turn!"

"I bet he'll play another one of those magic cards, Personal Shutters or whatever they're called," Yuya stared down, as Layra drew his next card and stared at it for a second, then gazed off into the distance.

"I summon CC One-Eyed Past Eye from my hand!" Ayu's opponent announced.

"What's with that monster?" Tatsuya asked, as we all stared at the vile creation.

"I activate Montage Fusion from my hand," he announced. "I take a picture of the Arowana on my opponent's field with this card effect and fuse the pictured Arowana and my CC One-Eyed Past Eye!"

"This is not good," Yuya reported to us, as if we didn't already know.

"Fusion summon! Come forth! CCC Avatar of Valiant Fusion- Water Sword!" It appeared as a… Huge white disk? A huge white disk with a ton of wires on it and a camera like thing in the middle. It didn't seem that formidable. Apart from the 2400 attack power. "Battle! I attack Aqua Actress Arowana with my Avatar of Valiant Fusion- Water Sword!"

"Ayu's Arowana is going to get taken out!" Futoshi wailed.

"But Ayu has 2900 life points left!" Tatsuya yelled. "She can withstand 400 points of damage!"

"When Water Sword attacks, it gains all the attack points of all the other water monsters on the field," the boy concluded, before I could open my mouth and reassure the others that Ayu was going to win this.

"The only water monster on the field is Ayu's Arowana!" Gongenzaka said.

"With that additional 2000 attack, Water Sword's attack becomes 4400," Yuya said.

"Then Ayu-chan is…" I cried, as the fish was gutted for sushi and Ayu was sent crashing back, bouncing on the Junior Arena bounce mats, as my father assured Ayu's parents that she was fine.

"Ayu, are you ok?" Yuya demanded as we ran forward, so we were beside her.

"Sorry, everyone…" she sighed. "I… I tried my hardest, but I lost…"

Yuya smiled sadly and bent down to her height. "Ayu, if you lost today… You just have to win tomorrow! Believe in tomorrow's victory and take another step forward!"

"That's right!" Gonegnzaka agreed. "Look at how many time's Yuya has lost to me in the past!"

"Hey!" Yuya snapped. "You don't need to add that part in! And after I said such a cool line too!"

Soon enough, Ayu was laughing with us, as we first chortled at Yuya but then ended up laughing at nothing in particular. A good old You Show Duel School laugh.

"To think we'd lose to an LDS student…" my dad sighed, folding his arms, as if LDS were a really bad school and losing to them would be embarrassing.

"Dad… I'll avenge Ayu!" I announced, earning looks from the others. "This time I'll definitely beat LDS… And Koutsu Masumi!"

"All right! I'm counting on you!" my dad cheered.

"Alright! Let's head to the centre arena for Yuzu's duel!" Yuya grinned.

"Wait! Where's Sora?" I asked.

"He went to go watch other schools earlier," Yuya told me, gesturing to the direction where Sora had gone.

"Good grief!" I snapped, pulling out my phone and calling him. "Sora! Get over here! The duel is about to start!" I snarled down at him, the second he picked up and then hanged up.

Honestly, my fusion premier was about to begin and my teacher was going to miss it!

Cat: Yeah... Sorry? Anyway, chapter 29 will be good, i promise!

Rena: So, this week's question-

Who would like to have Ayu's Aqua Actresses deck? It was so kawaii!

SIDENOTE- So, hopefully you guys are enjoying this fanfic so far, yes? Well, have you ever stopped and thought: 'This section of the episode would be so much better in ...'s POV?'

Well, never fear animewatchers186 is here! (ignores distant terrified screaming)

So, i present to you-

In the Mind of Yuya

In the Mind of Yuto

In the Mind of Yoko

In the Mind of Ayu

In the Mind of Futoshi

In the Mind of Tatsuya

In the Mind of Sora

In the Mind of Shun

In the Mind of Gongenzaka

And many many more! :D

Hahaha, you just had a panic attack there, didn't you?

No, these aren't going to be full on Fanfictions (my head would EXPLODE), this is going to be a little collection of one-shots that i will write while writing 'In the Mind of Yuzu' (aka, when my video buffers and i have to wait for it to load).

So, i would write these one-shots without looking at the videos (seriously, i'm not going to load another video while one loads... Thats stupid!) and would just be jumping to certain sections of parts of the anime, in different people's POV.

If i publish it here, i will call it 'In the Minds of Many'

Would you guys be interested in reading it? Can you please let me know in a review!

Thanks everyone, you guys are my life xx
