CHAPTER 30 The First Battle
The next morning Kuza awoke and looked around to find himself in an empty bed. Once he got up and stretched he jumped off the bed. He walked down the hall to find Naruto in the kitchen cooking up some breakfast.
"Where are the vixens at?" Kuza asked
"Our better halves went out to for the day." Naruto replied
"She is not my better half; I want nothing to do with her." Kuza fumbled
"Whatever you say." Naruto said with a chuckle "But just remember what…"
"Yeah yeah I know I could see it plain as day that you and Sakura were right together. But that doesn't mean you're right about me and her." Kuza replied
"Mmmm, what smells good?" came a new voice.
"Breakfast is up." Naruto replied as Minato walked into the kitchen and sat down
"So the girls headed out?" Minato asked
"Yep." Naruto replied as he set down a plate of bacon and eggs
"Any idea where they went?" Minato asked
"Got an idea." Naruto replied
"You mind sharing?" Minato asked
"Information is never free." Naruto said rubbing his fingers together
"Well guess you truly are a mercenary then." Minato sighed
"Hey had to make my way somehow." Naruto replied
"Well I let you stay here for the night didn't I?" Minato replied
"Well technically this is my house." Naruto replied
"What?" Minato asked in shock
"Well since you're dead everything in the Namikaze name transferred to me including this house." Naruto replied "So should I charge you for staying in the house." He said with a shrug "Double since you took the master bed room"
"Such a scammer." Minato sighed as he put some bacon on his plate.
"And dinner and breakfast." Naruto smirked as Minato stopped with a piece of bacon in his mouth. "Haha, just kidding can't be charging a poor homeless couple since they can never pay it back anyway." He chuckled
"You're so cruel" Minato sighed
"I got a reputation to uphold." Naruto chuckled
"But are you sure it is a good idea to let those two walk the streets together?" Minato asked "We are supposed to be keeping a low profile, since no one knows we are alive."
"Kurama told me once she gets her mind set on something not even he can stop her." Naruto replied.
"Well that is true." Minato sighed "So you and the fox really do share a lot huh?"
"Well he was the first one to tell me the truth and not treat me like shit." Naruto replied
"So he isn't, nothing but death, malice, and destruction then?" Minato asked
"Well he is," Naruto replied "But once you get to know him he is just a big fuzz ball."
"Go to hell, you stupid brat." Came Kurama's voice in his head, getting Naruto to chuckle a bit.
"Then how did you get to know him?" Minato asked
"Well like I said I talked to him after I was run out of the village." Naruto replied "once he saw how despicable the villagers acted he took pity on me and started to train me on how to manipulate not only my chakra but his as well. Well as much of his as my body could take. We started to become friends after that, and he gave me the fox summons contract and I partnered with him." Naruto said gesturing to the black fox sitting at the table with his front feet on the table licking the plate in front of him clean "even if his manners are non-existent."
"Well seems like you have things figured out." Minato said
"Mostly figured out but I'm working through it." Naruto said
Meanwhile Sakura along with Kira and Kushina who had a hood over her head hiding her face, where walking across town. To a large tent where Sakura's parents were staying. Once they entered the tent they found Sakura's mother alone going through what she had been able to salvage of her home.
"Mother." Sakura called out getting her mother to turn around
"Sakura!" Mebuki cried as she ran to her daughter and embraced her in a hug "I was so worried I hadn't seen you for so long and then after the battle you just disappeared, and didn't come back last night."
"Well she stayed with us." Kushina said flipping up her hood
"Impossible." Mebuki stuttered taking a step back. "You've been dead for over fifteen years, and you haven't aged a day."
"Well Pain brought me back like he did with you, but he brought me back to fight my own son." Kushina replied "But that back fired on him because Naruto seemed to want to fight us more than Pain."
"Us?" Mabuki asked as a look of shock went across her face.
"Me and Minato-kun" Kushina replied
"The fourth is alive?" Mabuki asked in shock "Wait you're Naruto's mother?"
"Yes, we were both brought back to fight him." Kushina replied "But I find it odd you are more shocked that I'm his mother but not that Minato-kun is his father?"
"Well before Sakura went on that mission with him, I had a talk with him and he told me who his father was." Mebuki replied "I didn't put two and two together with you being his mother, I always knew you and the fourth were close but you never told me who exactly the father was when you were pregnant."
"Well we had to keep it secret because of all the enemies Minato-kun made during the war." Kushina replied. "But really he had my last name the entire time and you still didn't put it together?"
"Well a lot of orphans were given none village clan names, and when he was here all I could see was the demon." Mebuiki sighed getting both the other women to tense up and glare at her.
"That is the other reason I'm here." Kushina said "How dare you treat my poor baby boy in such a way!" she began to berate her.
"You're right I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that, these past couple months while Sakura was away I've looked back on the short time he was here and what she had told me about the time she had spent with him, while on her first mission and the chunin exams. He isn't the monster I thought he was and I'm actually grateful to him for saving my baby so many times." Mebuki said as Kushina began to calm down.
"You know It's a lot harder to be mad at you when you say things like that." Kushina sighed a bit agitated
"Well in time I'm sure Kizashi will come to his senses about it as well, he can be a bit stubborn." Mebuki replied
"Well he better, since that little scenario we talked about when we found out what we were having." Kushina said with a smirk as Sakura went bright red and her mother got a large grin.
"Oh really now?" Mebuki said looking over at Sakura
"Well I think we have spent enough time here let's go." Sakura fumbled as she began to push Kushina out of the tent "and mom don't tell anyone that they are alive the hokage wants to wait till after this whole ordeal is dealt with."
"Alright I won't say anything." Mebuki replied as they walked out of the tent
After another hour Sakura and Kushina returned to the house. Where Naruto and Minato where sitting on the couch having a beer.
"Ah so you're back, let me guess went to see your parents?" Naruto asked
"Just my mom, she wanted to talk to her." Sakura said gesturing toward Kushina
"And you didn't want to talk to them about what your father said during the attack?" Naruto asked getting Sakura to lower her head and shake with a bit of anger and sadness
"I just don't even want to see my father after what he said." Sakura replied
"What happened?" Kushina asked
"He said I wasn't his daughter that I was a monster corrupted by the fox." Sakura replied holding back tears that was when felt something wrap around her and she saw Kushina had embraced her in a deep hug.
"Oh don't worry you aren't a monster." Kushina said "And I can't believe someone would say that about their own daughter."
"As I said before fear makes people do some stupid shit." Naruto replied
"But my mom is a bit more understanding about the situation." Sakura replied
"Well if I know anything about marriage, the wife can get their husband to see what ever they want them too." Minato said with a smile.
"And don't you forget it." Kushina said walking over to him giving him a deep kiss.
"Damn't you two, you're my parents I don't want to see that." Naruto said as he threw up his hands and walked out of the room.
"Thanks for giving me hope." Sakura said as she walked out following Naruto.
After a few days Naruto and Sakura found themselves standing at the gate of the village waiting for Tsunade and her escorts to get there.
"Damn't what is taking them so long?" Naruto sighed leaning up against the gate
"We have only been waiting five minutes." Sakura replied "Kakashi sensei used to make us wait for nearly an hour before he showed up."
"Well normally if a client kept me waiting I don't take the job." Naruto replied
"Well then good thing I'm not a client." Came Tsunade's voice as he looked over and saw the Hokage walking up to them along with Hinata and Kiba followed by Akamaru
"Hey there Fox." Kiba called out with a wave.
"Sup there mutt." Naruto smirked back
"After watching that fight of yours I want you even more now." Hinata butted in
"Over my dead body." Sakura growled as her eyes went demonic and her nails turned to claws.
"What the hell?" Hinata said in shock as she took a step back.
"When he picked me he marked me as his, and this is what the seal of a fox summoner does." Sakura replied not mentioning that it was really the nine tails chakra.
"Yes she is my mate now so leave me be." Naruto shot at her.
"Yeah Hinata-hime if the fox mating seal is like the dogs it is for life." Kiba replied
"What?" Hinata asked looking at him
"My clans dogs are technically summoning dogs, but we have them with us all the time like he does with Kuza over there." Kiba said pointing over at the black fox. "So we don't normally summon them." He further explained "And as for the mating thing it is the same for my clan as well once you mark someone as your mate it is for life, why do you think my mother is the clan head and hasn't remarried?"
"I never thought of that." Hinata replied looking back on it.
"Well now that that is settled will you leave me be and let us get this trip over with." Naruto replied as he began to walk down the road. Followed by the leaf ninja, with a mumbling cursing Hinata.
After a few days the group finally made it to the capital of the snow covered land of iron.
"Finally I can get away from that one's whining." Naruto sighed in relief gesturing toward Hinata
"I wasn't complaining that much." Hinata shot back
"Welcome." Came the voice of an older man with a beard and head wrappings
"Ah Mifune-sama good to see you again." Naruto replied with a bow
"You as well Fox." Mifune replied with a bow "Seems you have found yourself in another rough spot."
"You know me always in over my head." Naruto chuckled
"Indeed." Mifune replied "Your rooms are ready for while we wait for the rest of the Kages to join us"
"Alright we will find our way." Naruto said as he began to walk down a hall.
"Not very gentlemanly to not even say hi to an old friend." Came a female voice Naruto looked over to see Mei Terumi the Mizukage stood there flanked by Chojiru and a man with an eyepatch
"Ah Mei how are you." Naruto said walking up to her shaking her hand
"Good but seeing how Sakura is by your side you are doing pretty well yourself." Mei said with a smirk
"Yeah you could say that?" Sakura said "Good to see you again."
"Sakura I thought I taught you better that, on how to speak to a Kage." Tsunade said looking at her pupil.
"Oh don't worry about." Mei replied "We met back before you became the Hokage, and became friends."
"Very well." Tsunade replied
"Where is Zabuza at?" Naruto asked
"He is back at home with the baby girl." Mei replied
"Well congratulations." Naruto replied as he walked away followed by Sakura.
"Well we should do lunch sometime." Tsunade said as she walked toward her own room.
"Of course bring along that student of yours and we will make it a lady's day." Mei replied as she walked toward her room.
After a nights rest the different Kages and the remaining Jinchuriki sat by their respective Kages, in the conference room while Naruto sat on his own.
"We have all been called here to discuss the current threat of the organization known as the Akatsuki." Mifune said looking across the different Kages
"Maybe to the rest of you but not to us." The Tsuchikage replied
"Why is that because they already have your jinchuriki?" Naruto shot at him getting him to recoil
"How do you know that?" demanded the old man
"I came into contact with the organizations real leader." Naruto replied
"Pain?" asked Mei
"No another man named Tobi, trying to pass himself off as…" Naruto began but was cut off.
"Madara Uchiha." Came a voice from above and a man wearing a swirling mask sat in the rafters.
"Oh hey there ass face." Naruto replied
"What?" Madara replied
"Nothing." Naruto replied "What is your end game Tobi?"
"Oh now where is the fun in that?" Madara replied "All I want are the tailed beasts, for the greater good of all humanity."
"Oh yeah sure giving all that power to one person is such a great idea." Naruto replied sarcastically.
"Your sarcasm is not appreciated." Madara replied "Now to business turn over the remaining Jinchuriki or I will take them by force."
"Oh you and what army?" Naruto replied "You are down to only two members." He said with a smirk
"The army I began to build when I found out you were starting to plan to stop my initial plan." Madara replied "And I brought some of them with me." he said as they heard an explosion from outside, just then a samurai burst in to the room.
"Sir we are under attack." The Samurai said
"If you survive this little fight I'll have plenty more for you to fight unless you turn them over." Madara said as he began to fade away.
"Well let's go see what this bastard has in store for us." Naruto said as he slipped out the door, and began running toward the battlefield.
"With his love of battle I'm surprised he hasn't joined us samurai." Mifune sighed as everyone began to follow him
The group of ninja made their way to the main defensive wall. They looked down on a massive number of white men lead by Madara.
"This is only a portion of the army I have at my disposal." Madara yelled as he again vanished
"What are they?" Tsunade asked looking at them.
"They look like the white half of Zetzu." Naruto replied
"Who?" Gaara asked
"The remaining member of the Akatsuki. Seems he is able to clone himself." Naruto replied
"These aren't simple clones they are their own beings." Hinata said looking at them with her Byakugan.
"Well any way let's go have some fun shall we" Naruto said as his eyes turned red and his hands turned to claws, then jumped down toward the army.
"Well can't let him have all the fun." Kiba said as he jumped after him
"Boys." Hinata sighed shaking her head and then jumped after them.
"Alright let's do this." Sakura said about to jump after them but was grabbed by Tsunade
"There will be injured we will need your help when that happens." Tsunade said gesturing toward the Samurai headed out to fight this threat.
"Well can't let Naruto-niisan have all the fun." Said a girl with greenish blue hair and wings coming out of her lower back allowing her to fly down toward the battlefield
"Let's waste these pastes." Killer Bee cried as he jumped out was well followed by Yugito. The final Jinchuriki stood there and pulled out a small pipe and began to blow bubbles over the battlefield.
"So let us give them support." Gaara said as everyone began to jump onto the battle field
"Can't let these other villages show us up." The Tsuchikage said as him and his two guards jumped in as well.
Down on the battlefield Naruto was tearing through the white Zetzu's.
"Oh man haven't had this much fun in a while." Naruto said with a smile "Zabuza will be mad he missed this." He called over to Mei who was sending magma balls at the enemy
"Oh he will be." Mei replied
After an hour of fighting the enemy had been torn down to a just a handful.
"Damn't are we almost done yet?" Hinata said as she destroyed another one, just then one of the Zetzu came out of the ground and she turned just in time to see it bring a kunai up to stab her but all of a suddenly the tip of a sword protruded out of its chest and then ripped it in half.
"The Hyuga always needing the Uchiha to save them." Came Sasuke's voice as he appeared where the Zetzu had been. Just then Hinata's hands were covered in blue chakra and turned into lion heads as she swung around him and thrust it into a Zetzu that was behind him.
"Looks like you need us more than we need you." Hinata shot back at him
"Well guess you're not as use less as the rest of the women I've dealt with." Sasuke smirked as he went back to fighting the other Zetzu's
"I could say the same about you." Hinata replied with a smirk as well.
"The hell Sasuke I been with you for how long? And you start flirting with this new chick what am I chopped liver?!" Karin yelled as a white Zetzu came up behind her but was torn to shreds by a pair of tornados that turned into Kiba and Akamaru.
"How do you think I feel I've known her our whole lives and haven't even gotten a sideways glance." Kiba said from behind her, as she turned around.
"Who are you mutt face?" Karin said as she jumped away toward another fight.
"Oh yeah, no thank you for saving my life, nah don't need any gratitude or nothing. I'm just here saving rogue ninja cause it gives me a good feeling deep down." Kiba complained to himself "Akamaru let's kick this up a level." He said as he created a shadow clone "Man beast transformation: three headed wolf!" he yelled as he was enveloped in a massive bloom of smoke and a massive three headed wolf emerged and began tearing through the Zetzu's.
After a little while longer the remain Zetzu's where taken care of and the Kage's along with Sasuke's team and his brother where back in the meeting room.
"So I can see how this new threat may threaten even my village." The Tsuchikage said "We need to do something about this."
"Agreed." Naruto replied "I propose that the Jichuriki handle this."
"And why would we allow that?" the Tsuchikage replied
"Because he is after us and he has four of our brothers." Naruto replied "Killer Bee has gained full control of the eights power, and has taught Yugito the same. I suggest that the remaining Jinchuriki train under him to be able to handle the power their partner contains."
"What of a contingency plan?" Gaara asked "In case you are unable to complete this mission?"
"I suggest you form the first allied shinobi force. To help combat this enemy." Mifune said.
"Agreed." Mei said "we can't allow you to fight this battle alone."
"Yes we couldn't look ourselves in the mirror if we let you youngsters fight this battle for us alone." The Tsuchikage said.
"We may not be as large as the rest of the nations but we will help as much as we can." Said the Shibuki head of the waterfall village.
"Yes I get to hang out with Naruto-niisan again." The blue green haired girl cried with joy
"Calm yourself Fu." Naruto said
"Sorry." Fu replied as she contained herself.
"Well I guess I'll see you when that battle comes around." Sasuke replied as he turned along with his brother followed by Karin and Jugo.
"I'll be looking forward to it." Hinata said with a smirk.
"Well Bee let's get this training started." Naruto said looking over at the large man.
"For sure ya fool, we gonna put a get you on in sync with your beast to send those fools down the drink." Bee said
"I'm going to have a head ach this entire time." Naruto sighed
