HAPPY NEW YEAR! I HOPE 2015 WILL BE A GOOD ONE FOR EVERYONE! :D

Cat: This is so late, i know, i know and i am so sorry!

Rena: This is a filler. Completely from our heads. Sorry if you hate it, we were trying to make it more imaginative.

Cat: Because it was just going to be her searching a warehouse! I mean! BORING!

Rena: So, sorry if the character we forced into here is a bot OOC. We tried our very hardest!

Cat: Please review! Tell us what you think! We only want to improve and we try taking as much criticism as possible on board! Oh, and BTW, if you haven't, following and favouriting always helps! You can get alerted when i post up new chapters!

But, if you don't want to, that's A OK! Please, most of all, ENJOY! :D

Rena: This story is in Yuzu's POV. Please give me some artistic licence. If i put some stuff that isn't in the anime in here, don't flame. There would be no point in reading, if it was just the anime in words!

Chapter 36- Resonating Dragons

Sometimes, Sakaki Yuya could be a huge hypocrite. After whining and complaining that Sora never had his phone on and wouldn't pick up, it seemed a bit ironic that I now stood outside the warehouse, my phone pressed to my ear, listening to the constant droning of the dial tone, until it clicked to answer phone for the umpteenth time.

"Hey! This is Sakaki Yuya! Sorry, it appears I cannot talk right now, so, d'ya fancy leaving a message after the tone? I'll probably never listen to it… But still! Ok! Here's the beep!"

Beep!

"Yuya!" I growled down the line. "You better call me back when you get this! I'm at the warehouse where I trained with Sora… And… ummm… Yeah. Call me if you find him…"

I sighed and hung up, staring around the massive old building, which was completely deserted as always. I tugged open the door. "Sora!?" I cried, stepping in and glancing around. "Sora, are you here!?" I stopped and listened, trying to pick up on the sound of breathing or the quiet creeping of feet.

I turned when I heard a quiet scuffling. I followed it to the back of the room behind some crates. However, I pulled them back only to see a rat turn and stare up at me. I shuddered and rushed off and out of the warehouse. I leaned against the massive shutters and closed my eyes.

Now I realised how stupid this idea had been. Sora was cunning and sneaky, why would he come here? It was one of the first places we would look and, here I was, being very proof of that. Also, if he was looking for Kurosaki or Yuto, he would know they wouldn't be around here. If they don't want to be found, why go back to the place where they had been discovered?

Kurosaki and Yuto would not be here. They could be anywhere. Where they with LDS? Or it just Kurosaki? Then, where would Yuto be? Where would Sora look for them?

Sora could be anywhere in this city and I seriously doubted I would find him. It was getting dark and in the hours we had been looking, he could be on the other side of the city, for all we knew.

"Well, you look distressed," a voice cut through the darkness, originating from the thick fog that was being created by the sea which was blanketing most of the road.

I pushed myself off the building and stood, tense, searching for the person. "Who is that!?"

"How could you not know who I am!?" the voice screeched comically. I could finally see a figure in the fog and, though it was patchy, I managed to piece together the voice and the slender figure and I groaned. Of all the people I could meet.

"What's with that reaction!?" Sawatari snapped, pointing at me accusingly. "I am the Neo New Sawatari! You should be kissing the ground where I walk-"

"What do you want, Sawatari?" I asked coldly, really not in the mood to deal with the rich snob and making it clear that I was not intimidated by him.

He scowled. "It's a free city. I am allowed to go where I wish. Besides, my father is the Mayor! I can go anywhere I please!"

"So, what are you doing down at the pier at ten pm?" I hissed. "Isn't daddy worried?"

"I could ask the same thing to you," he said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes and turned, realising I had much better things to do than talk to Sawatari Shingo. "Hey! Where are you going!?"

"I'm looking for something," I shot back, stomping off. Searching for my Fusion teacher was going to be like looking for a needle in a haystack but that sounded like the most exciting thing in the world, compared to conversing with the LDS student standing in the fog.

"What? Oh, let me guess, you're looking for your boyfriend to come and fight your battles?" he sneered, which made me stop and turn around again, my eyebrows raised. "You still owe me that duel you promised."

I brandished my fan and glared. "What did you say?"

He blinked. "You still owe me a du-"

"Before that!"

"Oh! That you had Sakaki Yuya-"

"Yuya is not my boyfriend!" I wailed, running over and smacking Sawatari over the head multiple times. "And it wasn't even Yuya!"

"Ow, ow, ow, owowowowowowow!" he cried. "Cut it out, you crazy person!"

"You think I'm crazy!?" I slapped his head one more time before I sighed, taking the fan away. "Look, I'm looking for-"

"That kid who almost killed me?"

"No, I'm looking for-"

"No! The other one who almost killed me! Your friend knocked me out, remember!? That little brat who was duelling today against Kurosaki!"

"Yeah, I'm looking for- Hey! How did you know I was looking for Sora?" I demanded. "And, by the way, he did not nearly kill you, he just knocked you out…"

He shrugged. "All LDS members received a communication saying that we should be on high alert for him and take him back to the hospital immediately. Weird, huh? Your friend has become so VIP he's not even allowed to leave…"

"They're probably just worried about him…" I stammered. "He wasn't in the most stable condition when he ran off…"

"The message I received was from HQ, not the hospital." Sawatari smirked.

I blinked. "Wait, what do you want with Sora?"

He shrugged. "Nothing much. Just some compensation for that bruise I got after he-"

"I don't care, Sawatari!" I rubbed my temples. "Have you seen him?"

"Recently? Nope."

"Then I have no reason to talk with you," I said stiffly. "I will be leaving now."

"You have no idea where he is," he shoved his hands in his pockets.

"Well, yes, obviously. If I did, I wouldn't be looking for him."

"I saw that duel he was in. Y'know, the one he went psycho in." Sawatari walked towards me, which caused me to take several steps back, so that there was the same amount of distance between us. He glanced at me as he leaned against the other warehouse door. "You sure you want that kind of nutcase as a friend?"

"Sora… He was just… Look… I mean… He's not normally like that! He's a nice person, just…"

"A complete psychopath?"

"That's rich, coming from you."

"I am not a psycho!" Sawatari stamped his foot, like a toddler having a tantrum. "What have I done that makes you think that I'm a psycho!?"

"You… You just… I just don't like you," I decided to say. "You deliberately made Yuya's life hell, you tried to close down my school and… and… you copied Pendulum summoning!"

Sawatari shook his head. "I didn't. LDS did. Besides, I don't even have them anymore."

"What?"

"They took them off me. Right after the match."

"Oh," was all I managed to say.

"Well, Pendulum cards or no Pendulum cards, you still owe me a duel, ok?" Sawatari sighed, pushing himself off the door and began walking back the way he came. "And tell your knight in shining armour, I demand a rematch."

I made a mental note, that the next time I met Yuto I would ask him never to duel Sawatari again.

"Well, bye," he sauntered off, leaving me alone.

Bzzz… Bzzz…

"Yuya!?" I demanded, snapping the phone open. "Where are you!? Have you found-!?"

"Check the caller ID before you pick up," Gongenzaka said gruffly.

"Oh, sorry,"

"Anyway, I can't find Sora anywhere. I'm going back to the hospital. I'll see you there, ok?"

"Uh, yeah ok. I'm going to get Yuya," I pinched the bridge of my nose. "I knew that this search was a waste of time. He could be anywhere!"

"I know. I hope Yuya had more luck. Bye." Gongenzaka hung up and I began running in the direction of the park.
