Hello, fellow readers. I apologize I haven't been active for months. Many things came up and I just hadn't time writing anything at all. I really hope you understand and forgive me for not updating Bloodstained winter for a while. I thank you for all reviews and support you have given me.

Sakura let out a deep yawn as her emerald eyes read through some important files of her patients. Though she tried to concentrate, her mind was focused on something else. How many times she even asked herself, she couldn't understand at all how she had managed to let herself be fooled. What would the use of the plan be if Obito never regained his memories at all? It would just be a waste of time, hurt the patients further having him here, and the man had no idea of why he was chained up.

Sakura sighed, this situation was bad enough to even let her thoughts dwell into it. Her eyes scanned over Hinata's files. A small smile spread through her lips. Seeing as the Hyuuga had become a bit better, they could soon start out with a hospital coach, who would teach her to go again.

"Sakura-san."

The soft voice called the nurse back from her train of thoughts she had been caught in. Sakura looked up from her documents to see Hinata smile meekly at her. She had a tray in her lap with an empty plate. Sakura felt a jolt of hope inside as she rose and rushed over to her friend:

"You succeeded." She exclaimed, giving the shy woman a soft nudge on her arm "Good job, Hinata."

Upon hearing the compliment, a tint color of pink covered Hinata's cheeks. She was about to tell her friend it was nothing, but was interrupted before she even could open her mouth.

"I've to admit, it was a bit unexpected you got him to do anything at all. He has been pretty much like… nothing at all." Though she hated the man for bringing so much pain to everyone, she couldn't help but feel a bit sad whenever she saw him. "I think your company will do him good."

Hinata nodded, shuddering a bit. She didn't know what she would think of him at all. The latest meeting had her still shaken up. Had she really made a promise to Obito? Could she really help him bring his memories back? How she even would be able to talk to him if he regained all memories he once had, she didn't know. How she even wanted to she couldn't break her promise to him. She didn't dare to.

"Ano, Sakura. Could you tell me more about Uchiha-san?" she asked and gave her the tray of the empty plate.

Sakura nodded and thought for a moment. She was a bit surprised of Hinata's sudden interest in the Uchiha man, but didn't comment on that. After all Hinata was the one to make him remember everything. "What would you like to know about him?"

"E-everything you can f-find about him."

"I don't know much about Obito… The one who knew him best was Kakashi-sensei, I'm sorry that was everything I knew about him at all." Sakura told and nodded towards the photo of Kakashi's old team. "However, there might be something that might help you…" She sighed and went over to a shelf full off documents. Hinata could hear her mumbling something like "It should be somewhere here" meanwhile looking past the files.

She really hoped that whatever Sakura brought would give her anything to give to Obito. Sadly, there was nothing she knew about him at all. Afraid that she after all couldn't be much help for him, Hinata started to hesitate. Should she just go and tell him she couldn't help him at all? Remembering that crazed look on his face, making the scars deeper and uglier, she froze. He would kill her, if she broke the promise. The blood thirst was obvious in his smile, she could see it so well that not even her blood limit was needed. He was nothing but a monster, and she was stuck with him.

"Here it is."

Sakura made her way back to her and gave her a thick bunch of files. "It is every information the doctors have collected about Obito."She explained, seeing Hinata's confused look on her face. "I don't know if it might be to any help at all, but it is till something, right?"

A smile was formed on Hinata's lips as she paged through the pages. "Thank you, Sakura-san." She would need to repay her friend someday, but first she had to read through the files and learn more about the man who she feared.

Sakura just smiled, glad to be to help: "Good luck with the studying." She wished her friend. Glad to see she made something good for Hinata.

Seeing Hinata leave the room the smile faded from the nurse's face. There was nothing more she could give her, nothing.

Hesitation filled her as her trembling hand caressed the cover of the notebook of files. Not being the one to snoop into others' business and private lives, Hinata found it a bit thrilling to read about someone's life. Again, what choice did she have? She had promised Obito, so it was best to just help him, how much she even hated it. She was completely alone, so there was no one to breathe in her neck.

Hinata took a deep breath and opened the cover.

Surprisingly she found herself caught into the read as soon as she started to read. The first one of them boring numbers of weight, and then a photo of a baby. Hinata took a longer time studying it, finding it so harsh how a cute child could transform to something so dangerous.

Had he never had any parents? She questioned herself, while she read through the fact his parents were unknown. A strange emotion filled her, not being able to put a word of exactly what, she went on reading.

Obito had grown up as an orphan. Taken care off by the nannies in the orphanage until he was old enough to tend to himself, he was tossed over to a small apartment to care for his own. Still very young to do it himself, Hinata thought.

The rest she found was just some old files, and hospital visit records. It really seemed like he had to do many hospital visits. Perhaps he was just very clumsy in his ninja skills, perhaps he belonged to the brash kind of children who often fought, or perhaps he just was sickly.

Even though there was so little information of the young Uchiha boy, Hinata couldn't help but draw her own picture of him. His bright and confident smiles on the photos reminded her of a certain blond, she had watched from afar.

How much she hated it, she wanted to view him like the confident idiot, she always had admired. The one who never gave up, even though he was put down. Hinata wanted to imagine him being the one rushing past her many years ago, yelling he would become a leader one day.

How much she wanted him to be like her former crush, her illusion of him was crushed whenever her chest suddenly throbbed painfully. In her mind the sinister smirk off his haunted.

Hinata sunk down on her bed, folding her arms tightly around her body to shelter herself. Wondering how her picture of the young Obito could be crushed so fast, she let out a sob. How did that picture of the cute child fit in with this monster?

He had expected her to appear like always. Hinata was met by the usual stoic expression, as she entered the room. He lay in the bed, like he just had taken a long nap. Yet, those eyes penetrated her and burned themselves into her keeping her gaze captured.

"You found anything about my past?" his voice sounded tired, like he really had taken a nap.

Hinata could only nod, with trembling hands she pulled her chair closer to his bed. Picking up the documents, lying on her lap. "E-everything I… f-found."

His eyebrow raised at the sight of the documents, then looking straight back at her. "What are those?"

"S-s-some protocols of h-health facts, and… b-b—birth facts." She stuttered, growing red by the stuttering, but he didn't seem to mind; his whole attention focused on the documents.

"Tell me what is written on them."

Hinata hesitated a long moment, wondering if he meant she should read them to him or if she just would tell what there read. Would it pay any significance at all? She sighed as she picked up the document and started reading it with a low stuttering voice.

She hid herself behind them, not wanting to keep eye contact. When she after a moment looked up again. He seemed in deep thoughts. Head tilted to one side, as if he tried to read through her.

Obito reached out his hand like he wanted her to give him the documents, Hinata guessed. With shaking hands she gave him them, as she did so their fingertips touched. She pulled her hand back in force and the documents fell onto the floor.

His skin was soft, not as hard as she remembered.

Mismatched eyes were glued at her, judging her as they narrowed.

"Tell me, why are you afraid?"

"Excuse me…?" She avoided to look at him, heartbeats accelerated. She tried to roll her chair backwards but felt a sudden tight grip around her hand… She gasped and shockingly tried to pull away from his grip.

"Look at me!"

She jolted and a wail escaped her lips when she suddenly felt a pain as someone pulled her long hair forcefully and she found herself look up into two mismatched eyes. They glared straight into hers.

She tried to pull free, but with his stronger body he held her still. His cheek clenched at her attempts. Not a good sign.

"Tell me, woman. Why are you afraid?"

How much she even tried to look away, he kept her still. Her scalp hurt by his hard grip, and she was afraid he would pull her hair away.

"Is it me you fear?"

His voice grew louder. She closed her eyes, ignoring that they moistened up. Tears threatening to fall.

"Speak!"

A sob escaped her mouth. How did things turn out this way? Her whole picture she created of the young Uchiha boy was entirely broken to pieces. This man was nothing like Naruto at all.

Obito let out a hiss at her sobbing, but suddenly he twitched. A wail escaped his mouth, it sounded tortured. It grew louder and louder, echoed through the white walls and drummed harshly in her head.

Roughly she put her hands to her ears to shut out the terrifying scream and wails. The grip around her hair disappeared, and Hinata was free to run away from the monster before her.

But there she sat paralyzed, unable to move at all while his scream became louder, echoing through the walls.

It sounded awful and inhuman. Like the sounds were forced out from him, like they were pressed out from his mouth without his own will. The entire idea made her ice cold and slowly she opened her eyes to meet an awful sight.

His body twisted in cramps, and glowering strings with small metal knives had made its way through his body, cutting deep wounds into it... Piercing the skin like a razorblade, blood dropped from the cuts. Making its way to his throat... trying to suffocate him.

Loud clangs came from the chains while he tried to pull himself free, just to nestle himself even more into the chains.

"Hinata, are you okay…?" she heard Sakura's voice in the background.

Instead of answering the pinkette, she couldn't tear her eyes from the man before her. Shrinking back into bed and distancing himself from her, like he was afraid. The glowering wires slowly disappeared from his body, leaving openly crimson wounds all over his body.

Refusing to meet her eyes, his eyes were downcast.

Fear.

"Hinata, answer me. Did he hurt you?" Sakura's voice turned to a hesitated tone and she shook her softly.

"Um, what?" the woman was so focused on the male that she hadn't even reacted to Sakura. The pink-haired nurse just sighed, thinking that Hinata was too shocked by the way Obito had treated her.

"I think it is best if we end this for today. We are going…" Hinata suddenly felt her wheelchair move backwards, her eyes didn't tear from the figure sitting on the bed.

Right before the door closed she could see a tear drop on his cheek.

End of chapter 5.

More obihina development in next chapter as well. Damn it, seemed like I missed Hinata's birthday and some more Xmas chapters -.-*. Planned to write most of the story during the winter holiday, but sadly couldn't do it, mostly due to upcoming exams. Hope updates will be more frequently now when school is over, but I can't promise anything yet. T_T

Answers to questions:

Where is Naruto?

-Naruto won't play any bigger role in this story than he did in last chapter, or to say: he might appear sometimes again, but he won't play a big role.

Changed the seal a bit. While I admit I have read that story, it wasn't intentionally meant to become similar at all... Practically, I thought of having the Seal from the Blood prison MOVIE with the black/purple rectangles, but then it ended up very similar to someone else's in a fanfiction... -.-*And I read the review and suddenly started to remember that of course I came through something similar... So went back to the other story and read it. Apologizing for that very much. I decided to change it to wires instead, feeling bad for it I decided to change the whole thing. Hope you understand that it wasn't intentionally meant. :(
