Finale Part Two

Phoenix stared at his sister with wide eyes. Never had he seen his sister so furious, her normally calm blue eyes an ice cold blue. As soon as the words had been spoken, she turned around, and dashed out. Phoenix shot after her, shouting, "Ebony! Wait!" He saw as she glanced back quickly, before bursting into her room, and throwing the door shut behind her.

Ebony leaned against the shut door, her eyes frantically looking around as she locked the door. She lunged towards her bag, and quickly ran around the room, stuffing it with things she would need. After filling it- with most of her belongings too- she glanced back at the window. She could hear everyone banging on the door, and she knew that in a few minutes, one of the workers would bring the keys, and she would be caught.

She ran towards the window, and with the grace and elegance of Boris, she climbed out. She was extremely glad her room was on the first floor, because as soon as her feet touched the grass, she could barely hear the soft jingles of the keys. And then she ran into the forest.

By the time they brought the keys, Phoenix knew that his sister wouldn't be there. He watched as his parents burst through the room, tearing it aper. He stood there, at the door, and noticed the open window. He walked towards it and spoke; "She ran away." ALice turned to look at him, her teal eyes filled with tears. "How do you know?" SHe spoke. Phoenix felt a surge of anger.

"Because I know ebony more than any of you guys would care to know." He turned towards his father, who was staring blankly at Phoenix. "Dad, did you really have to say that to her? Did you know how much she tried to be the perfect daughter?" He stared at him, and before letting Blood answer, Phoenix climbed out the window. "Of course not. Since none of you really know her, I'm going to look for her." he started walking away, before he turned around. "Alone."

Ebony slowly sat down, leaning against a tree. She sighed, letting her head fall back, as she stared at the dawn sky. Suddenly, the time period changed, leaving her in the dark. SHe moaned, closing her eyes. "Really? Does fate just naturally hate me?" She mumbled. She opened her eyes again, and stared at her dress. "Its dumb to run around in a dress…" She muttered, moving to open her bag, and smiling when she pulled out some dark clothes.

"Perfect." She said, internally thanking Boris for insisting to buy what he called; badass clothing. As she changed, she thought about Boris, who said that it looked super badass, and that she looked 'smoking'. When she finished changing, she glanced down. It was only an elbow length navy blue shirt that had a square neckline, and black pants that clung to her, but were comfortable to move in, and simple black boots. She looked down at her white dress, and threw it on the floor. "I don't see why I need that anymore." She muttered, as she slipped the bag on her shoulder and headed for the Amusement Park.

Phoenix lied. He didn't know where Ebony was. He assumed that she went to the Clock Clover Tower, but when he got there, Julius had informed him that his sister had not been in the Tower for the same amount of time he had not been there. And that's when Phoenix connected the dots and figured that she must've also been acting around him. So he went to the only person who might have an idea- not that it had anything personal.

"Phoenix!" He heard her voice call out when he got there. He braced himself, as Crysta threw herself at him in a hug. "Hey." He replied simply. She pulled back, smiling at him brightly. "What happened?" SHe asked, when she noticed the depressed look on his face. Sitting down in a chair in her dining room, he quietly explained the details of what happened. "Oh… Poor Ebony…" Crysta cooed, and sighed. "ANd you have no idea where she went? Any friends?" She asked, staring at him intensely, before looking away, a slight blush on her face. Phoenix snapped his fingers, and smiled. "Crysta, your genius."

"Yo, Ebony!" She heard someone call behind her. Ebony spun around, and smiled when she saw Boris. "Hey! I was looking for you!" She said, as she ran up to Boris. He stared at her. "Wow Ebony, you look great." Ebony smiled. "Well, I did ask the punk wearing cat." Boris laughed. "ANyways, what brings you here?" He asked her. Ebony took a deep breathe. "Isorta, might'verunawayfromhomeandIwaswonderingifyouthinkGowlandwouldletmelivehere." She said really fast. Boris stared at her, his tail flickering. "Whaaa?" He asked. Ebony sighed. "I sorta ran away from home and I never want to go back. So I was wondering if you think Gowland might let me stay?" She asked him.

Boris stared at her, "Ebony, what happened?" Ebony looked away. "I don't want to talk about it Boris." Boris stared at her for another second, before nodding, and taking her hand. "Come on, let's go look for the old man." As they walked through the Amusement PArk, most of the employees waved hello to Ebony. "I see him!" Ebony said, spotting Gowland who was watching another construction of another new ride. "Gowland!" Ebony yelled, seeing the braided man turn towards her with a bright smile.

"I think she would be at the Amusement Park. She always hangs around Boris." Phoenix explained. "Ohh." Crysta said, as she followed close behind Phoenix. "Hey, Phoenix?" She asked, brekaing the silence. "Yea?" "What if she doesn't want to come back?" "What?" Phoenix replied. Crysta nodded to herself, as if gathering the courage to speak up.

"Maybe all this time she was keeping her potential hidden. I mean, from what you told me, she was holding a lot back emotionally. Running away might be the more healthier thing." Crysta said, her eyes focused on Phoenix. He sighed, and nodded, grabbing her hand. "I know. But if I can't convince her, then I'll let her be."

"So Gowland, may I please become a part of your territory?" Ebony asked. Boris, Gowland and her were talking in the cafe; which had- along with the park- closed for the time period. Gowland stared at Ebony, trying to assess how serious she was about it. "Sweet Pea, you do realize your dad would be boiling mad?" He asked. Ebony stiffened for a moment, and then relaxed. "Gowland, if this is about how my dad might attack the Amusement Park and your concern for the people here, I understan-"

"That's not it. The employees here are more than capable of defending themselves. What I'm worried about is how you might react when your dad gets mad and tries to get you back." Gowland leaned back in his chair. "Sweetpea, I have no problem with you staying here at all. You're a smart lady, and you're more than capable of helping out here then the freeloader over there is." "HEY!" Gowland ignored Boris, and continued on. "It's not a very piece of cake type of thing, but I'm more then willing to make you apart of this territory. But are you sure?"

Ebony looked down.

"To be honest, this is the first time anyone asked me about my opinion on doing something that might impact me. Mother and Father always told me what to do, they picked out my clothes, the fact that I'm homeschooled and Phoenix gets the chance to go make friends in public school, all those facts just show how much they like Phoenix more than they like me. I'll miss everyone at the Hatter Mansion. But… I feel like they don't really know me. Since I've hung around with Boris since I was little, I've been here in the Amusement Park when I could sneak out. You guys have seen the real me, the one that doesn't have to pretend to be anyone that they don't have to be."

Ebony smiled, and looked up at Gowland. "This, the Amusement Park, is like my heaven. So yes, I'm sure about this. I don't want to return to the Hatter Territory."

SUddenly, she heard a gasp behind her. EBony spun around, and her blue eyes widened. "Phoenix?" She asked, as she stood up. Phoenix stared at his sister; taking in her clothing. "What are you wearing?" He asked. Ebony glanced down. "What about it? I like it. But Phoen-" "You like it?! It's not appropriate! It clings to you! What would Father-"

Ebony glared at Phoenix. "To hell what Blood thinks." Ebony said, the name of her father feeling foreign on her tongue. She turned to Gowland, "Gowland, when can I become part of the Amusement Park?"

Phoenix watched with horror as Ebony asked that. When he heard her little speech, he felt the need to try to keep her at the Hatters. She was his little sister, the girl he had grown with all these years. He refused to believe that she wanted to leave the place they grew. It just didn't make sense.

Gowland smiled at her, and lifting both of his hands, he placed it on her head. A small light appeared around her, and Phoenix felt a sudden gap in his chest.

"There. You're now a part of the Amusement Park."
