It's the big #300!
Oh my god, I can't believe we're already up to 300 drabbles. How… what… when… I don't know. But we're here! And once again, my beautiful readers, thank you all for joining this journey, taking time out of your days to read these drabbles, and being the most supportive people I've ever came across.
I love you all dearly. Thank you.
For #300, I had no idea for any special-celebratory plot whatsoever, and so I decided to play around with something that wasn't the plot.
I present to you, the exactly-three-hundred-words fic! It took a while to get it to exactly 300, and it got some interesting, meaningful plot in the way, so I hope you enjoy! :D
(By the way if anyone's gonna check, the 300 words are the fic only, not this A/N or even the title)
Beginning
The beat was so loud they could feel it in their chests, drowning every other sound that wasn't music. They didn't need words, though; a smile, a blown kiss, a wink and an innocent touch of a ring-bearing left hand was a full conversation already.
Everyone was laughing, jumping in lieu of a dance next to each other, grinning at each other and grabbing at each other's hands, couples' motions synchronizing and friends and family surrounding each other and becoming one big crowd of joy and blissfulness.
Drunken uncles were dancing clumsily while aunts were gossiping. Mothers in law were rolling their eyes at silly things their children in law did. Young couples were looking at each other and at the surroundings in awe; old couples were remembering their own special day.
It was a wedding, a normal wedding yet an abnormal one, with two grooms who were each other's high school sweethearts and a dozen groomsmaids and a priest that wasn't a bald-or-graying old, chubby guy with long speeches.
It was just a sunny day in New York, New York, just a usual-yet-unusual wedding, a day of happiness, and it was a beginning.
A beginning that meant new life and new possibilities and a new sense of being together. A beginning that meant forever, a beginning that meant "I'm yours" and "We'll never be apart". It meant living together and waking up next to each other and yelling at each other over unmade beds or spoilt milk as well as laughing together when their dog chases his own tail or having loud sex against the kitchen counter.
It was the beginning of everything they could dream of and everything they hadn't even imagined yet, and it was the beginning of the wonderful, forever-intertwined, married lives of Kurt and Blaine.
