Meant To Be
Almost no one knew they were together back then, only three people.
Mercedes did; she was the one to let Kurt know he's gay. Yes, she let him know he's gay. She just told him he was, and ever since he never really doubted it again. She was the one to suffer through late nights of hushed phone calls about every little detail of every little thing Blaine did or said or how hot he looked in those mustard pants. She helped them get together, too; she was the one to encourage Kurt to just ask Blaine out.
Rachel knew, too, because she was nosy enough to ask all the right questions that made both of them blush, look down and fiddle with hems of clothes. They told her because they knew she had two dads, but only after she swore not to tell anyone.
Kurt's dad was the last person who knew- he caught them making out in Kurt's room once, and that was the horrifying and embarrassing story of how he found out Kurt was gay. And he was okay with it; after reassuring a terrified Kurt and hugging him for a long moment, he patted Blaine's back and told him that he's always there if Blaine needs someone. Blaine cried a lot that night, but all of them did, so it was okay.
And now, sitting around a table on "the morning after" of the biggest wedding of the millennium, Rachel, Mercedes and Burt were passing around old stories about the couple they had dropped off at the airport not long ago. Stories about awkward moments and sad ones and ones so happy and adorable that Burt was getting a bit uncomfortable hearing.
At the end, they all got to the same conclusion; there was no doubt that the newlyweds were truly meant to be.
