Cat: Before i say anything, i just wanna say that i have seen episodes 48 and 49. But what was i supposed to write for them? Unless you guys want random memories i invent for Yuzu (trust me, you don't want those and they would be super pointless) i have to wait to see whats happening on her side of the story. Then, my brain will come up with something to fill those chapters with.
Rena: So, here is episode 47...
Cat: Hope you like it! Please follow, favourite and review, if you want to!
Rena: This story is in Yuzu's POV. Please give me some artistic licence. If i put some stuff that isn't in the anime in here, don't flame. There would be no point in reading, if it was just the anime in words!
Chapter 47- Yuri of the Cold Hearted Smile
Barely ten minutes after I had parted ways with Selena, I found myself surrounded. I gulped realising they were wearing the same uniform and masks as the guys who had appeared on the bridge in the volcano section. I wondered if they were the same people. And, if they weren't, how many of these people were there?
In order for Selena to learn what happened in the XYZ dimension, she has to meet Kurosaki! I have to keep these guys away from her!
I activated my disk. Duelling seemed my only option, right now. In reply, they activated there's.
"Those disks!" I shouted, seeing the sword-like board appear. They looked exactly like Selena's. "Those are from the Fusion dimension!"
Since it's come to this…
"I'll have to fight!" I voiced the final words of my thought.
"You people are nuisances too!" a voice called from nowhere. I stopped, searching from where it came from. Suddenly, a figure dropped beside us, just a few meters away. I stared.
"Yuya!?" I shouted. What on earth!? He was wearing a purple cape and a blue jacket. His hair was purple with pink sides. No wait.
"What are you saying?" he sighed. "I'm not that guy. That aside, you three!" he addressed the masked people around me, as if he was there boss. "Get out of my way! If you get in my way, you'll end up like this!"
He threw two cards towards us. They hit the ground with a thunk, jumping off the ice, flipping them over. I glanced over at them. What did he mean by 'ending up like this'?
"Those are…!" I gasped. Around me, the three deactivated their disks and began running off. Mine did too, but I barely acknowledged it. I took a shaky step forward. It was Halil and Olga. They were… They were… "People are sealed inside these cards?" I dropped to my knees and gazed at them. Both the duellists, who I had met bare hours before, looked terrified, their mouths wide in shock.
"Oh, do you know them?" the Yuya-look-alike said. I didn't look up at him. It was Yuya's voice. His voice but with a cruel, sadistic edge to it. "Sorry, they were interfering with my work. You can have them back."
In my mind, I saw Yuya. Then, he changed and became Yuto. But it wasn't either of them. Yuya had a happy grin, Yuto had a sullen, miserable expression. This guy… His smile was cold. His eyes were sharp and cruel.
"Yugo is another guy who looks exactly like me…"
So he's Yugo…
I bowed my head again, staring down at the faces of Halil and Olga. "Did you do this?" I said lowly.
"That's right," he said bluntly.
"Why?" I whispered, picking the two cards up, unable to tear my eyes away.
"Why?" he repeated, almost as if I was surprised I asked. As if sealing people away in cards was a normal, acceptable thing to do. "Because they were nuisances."
"Turning people into cards-" I began to shriek.
"If you keep bugging me about it," he said coolly. "I'll turn you into a card too." He grinned at the prospect, his hands on his hips. "But, I won't." he said, almost cheerfully. "If I did that, I'd get scolded by the Professor."
"Professor!?"
"So that means… You're from Academia!?"
"Yeah, that's right," he said. "But you really do look just like them. Ruri and Rin, I mean."
"Ruri and Rin!?" he knew who Ruri was. That could only mean- "Then the one who kidnapped Ruri was-!"
He nodded sharply, gazing at me through half lidded eyes, his mouth spread into a lazy grin. "Yep. Me."
"Why would you do something like that!?" I demanded.
"Why?" he repeated the word again. "Because the Professor ordered me too. Right now, I'm only acting on the Professor's orders. His orders to bring you to him, that is."
"Me!? Why!?"
"I don't know, I only follow." He walked towards me. I flinched as he held out his hand. "Anyways, come. The Professor is waiting for you."
Like hell I was going to trust this guy. He kidnapped Ruri and, possibly, this other person, Rin. The smile on his face was of a predator about to rip apart and devour his prey. No way. No way. No way!
I slapped his hand aside and, using all the training I had received at school, back flipped, so I was as far away as I could be in the few seconds I had enough momentum.
He waved his hand, almost as if he was giving a sarcastic message that that slap really hurt. Not. "Oh, pretty good." He smirked. "You really are just like Ruri and Rin!"
I was still holding Halil and Olga's cards in my hands. I glanced at them for a millisecond. Did he seal those two girls into cards as well? How was Kurosaki going to get his sister back, if she was sealed in a card!?
"Then, how about we do this," he said. "We'll duel. If I win, you'll listen to what I say. Sound good?"
"Hold on! If you kidnapped Ruri, did you also kidnap this Rin girl too!? Why!?"
"I told you, it was an order." He put his hands on his hips. "Come on, hurry up! Weren't you willing to go against the Obelisk Force?"
"I-"
"If you don't start, I will," he held his disk up threateningly.
"I won't go down that easily!" I shrieked, activating my disk again.
The duel didn't last long, if you could even call it a duel. The sun was rising as I slipped over ice, my lungs screaming for air, my legs aching, my head moving side to side frantically, wondering where he was. If he could see me. If he would be able to find me and end this. I hid behind a glacier, silent, trying to catch my breath and not burst into tears.
I can't do it… I'm no match for him!
Then, I could see a new shadow forming, slowly appearing above the shadow cast by the glacier. I gasped, biting down my scream. He was here. If I breathed too loudly, if I took too loud a step; he would find me, attack me, win and drag me to the Professor. Like Ruri and Rin (whoever Rin was) who have not been seen for months.
"You're amazing! It's already morning!" I could hear him cheer. "The fact that you have been able to run away for this long is truly amazing! You have my praises. But our game of hide and seek is over. Come out. Come with me back to the Professor."
I could see his feet, as he stood on the top of the glacier, as I stared through a crack. If he looked down, he would be able to see me. But, if I moved, he would probably hear the crunch of snow. I wouldn't put it past him. This 12-hour sadistic game of hide-and-seek had proved that he was an amazing hunter. Then, there was a crunch from above. I looked up and barely had time to move before the top of the ice fell away, due to his dragon. Luckily, he hadn't heard me move through the crash of solid water. I held my hand over my mouth, silencing my scream. My knees knocked together and tears began to whelm in my eyes.
"I hope you'll come out soon!" he snarled, still on the prowl. He hadn't moved.
He knows I'm here! He knows! It's over! I can't get away! Help me! Help me, Yuya!
Then, through my tears, the world suddenly was surrounded in a pink hue. I blinked, tears unintentionally spilling silently down my face. I could feel my heart, black with fear, warm and rise slightly. I stared at my wrist. When it first did this, I had been terrified. Scared of the unknown, believing it would cause me unimaginable trouble. But now, it could be rescuing me from a horrific fate. I could feel anticipation and hope build up in my chest. Maybe, possibly-
Yuto-!?
A motorbike shot past. It appeared out of nowhere, shooting over the (much larger, now) crack. Driving straight through the place 'Yugo' had been standing. But upon seconds of inspection, I realised. He was gone. I continued to stare up as he rider stared down.
"Rin!?" he suddenly shouted. He landed with a thud, grinding to a halt. I stood and stared as he fiddled with his helmet, still in mind-numbing shock. Before I knew it, he ran over and hugged me, crushing me into his chest. "I've missed you, Rin!" I yelped, blushing furiously.
"H-Hold on!" I gasped. "Rin?
"You really are just like Ruri and Rin."
I grabbed his helmet, bringing his head up, getting him to look at me. "You know who Rin is!?" I stopped. I was staring at Yuya. But it wasn't Yuya. Or Yuto. Or that 'Yugo' guy.
4 dimensions. 4 different forms of Yuya. I gulped, pushing that aside. "Who is Rin?" I questioned him, staring into his blue eyes.
"You want to know who Rin is," Yuya number 4 said slowly, finally beginning to realise that I wasn't Rin. Then, he stared down as his white jacket began to become a light pink in the light coming from my wrist again.
"What the-" he asked. I stared around. Was Yuto here? Yuya maybe? I gripped onto Yuya Number 4 tightly, praying it wasn't 'Yugo' back again.
But then, my bracelet did something it had never done before. The light receded and I blinked.
It had teleported us.
Cat: Yeah, i know... It was quite short :/ I spent ages on it too... But anyway!
Rena: Right! The Question!
Does anyone read any of the Yugioh manga?
Random question number 47... *sigh*
Thanks everyone, you guys are my life xx
