Chapter 49- Bring Smiles with Duelling
When we were younger, a big part of Yuya's birthday, every year without fail, was the sleepover he had. Now, it wasn't anything big. It wasn't a massive house party that had people on makeshift beds on both floors of the house, a complete mess everywhere. Actually, it was a really quiet affair.
Only Yuya, Gongenzaka and me, actually.
After eating a delicious meal and chowing down the cake, Gongenzaka and I pulled our sleeping bags upstairs and placed our bags down. Gongenzaka was beside Yuya's bed and I was beside Gongenzaka. Three peas in a pod, as Yoko put it. We sat up there and had a few duels on Yuya's desk and talked for most of the time (after shooting down Yuya's suggestion to play Truth or Dare) and didn't have a care in the world.
Then, when Yuya's clock chimed midnight, Yuya started pulling out sweets stashed in various places in his room. He had had to hide them from his mother, so they wouldn't be confiscated. I pulled out some bags of sweets while Gongenzaka provided some cans of soda. I sweat dropped as Yuya clambered onto his desk to grab some bags of crisps that he had stashed on top of his bedroom light, adding them to the ever growing pile in the middle of the room.
We sat down and gorged on all the food. By one o'clock, I was surprised that we hadn't all turned as round as yuzu fruits from all the food. However, by then, I could feel my eyelids drooping. We were all exhausted. I lay down on my sleeping bag in my pink pyjamas, ready to go to sleep. Gongenzaka stood up and switched the light off, leaving us in darkness.
We lay in silence, drifting off when suddenly, Yuya muttered something. I sat up slightly, rubbing my eyes. "Hey, you say somethin', Yuya?" I asked tiredly.
"I play a trap card!" Yuya suddenly shouted, turning over in violently. I sighed and turned over, trying to ignore him.
"Pendulum summon!" he shrieked, almost sitting up in his sleep.
"What!? No… Yuzu… I swear I won…" he grumbled.
"Yeah… Sure…" I smirked, before falling asleep myself.
Cat: Short and sweet
Rena: We're moving on slowly but surely to chapter 54! I have written it, i just need to write these short pieces of rubbish!
