Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Bowties
"He's totally checking you out, man!" Sam whispers.
Blaine traces his fingers over where his name is written on his cup. "Is he really?" he bites his lip. He was checking out the cute barista for a while now, and wouldn't listen to a word Sam said. Surely not look him in the eye like a decent human being.
The barista looks at Sam then, and seems disappointed; Sam catches his expression and points at himself, shaking his head. He gestures at Blaine, and winks, smiling. The barista giggles.
"I think he's going to come here and ask your number. I'm leaving."
"Wha- Sam!" he mutters, but Sam is already gone, and Blaine lowers his gaze again to avoid looking at the barista.
Sam looks back to make sure Blaine isn't looking, and seeing that he isn't, he quickly steps up to the barista.
"Hi, can I hel-"
"His name is Blaine, he likes Harry Potter, Star Wars, and bowties, and he's been checking out your ass for the last half an hour. Be polite, make small talk, and ask for his number. And you've never seen me," Sam puts a hand on the barista's shoulder, looks into his eyes for a moment, and walks away hurriedly.
He hides behind a tall plant and watches the barista hesitantly walk towards Blaine, who looks up in surprise and smiles coyly. He gestures at the seat next to him and the barista sits down, biting his lip (just like Blaine, dude! Is that a gay thing?) and touching his own arm, clearly nervous. They talk for a few moments, and then the barista stands back up. Blaine grabs his arm to stop him and smiles brightly, saying something else. He hands the barista his phone, and he types in what is probably his number.
Then Blaine stands up, and Sam's happy that this is New York and now Ohio, because the next thing Blaine does is peck the guy's lips with a little kiss that makes a lady nearby Sam go aww and whip out her phone to take a photo.
Sam grins, and mentally pats himself on the shoulder. He knows he'll see that barista a lot from now on, and seeing Blaine smile like that, he can tell it won't be a hardship.
