Hey Guys its Cassy!

So Guys, I got some questions and I am happy to answer them about, me and the stories I have written.

So basically when I was younger I remember when I was 8 or 9 and I watched the original Winx Club every morning before school. It was the best thing and being a hopeful kid, I wanted to be a fairy like them when I got older.

Last year I was thinking about my old house, because we moved since then and my days in primary school, and I remember those fairies with their own unique powers and special outfits but I couldn't remember the name of the show. I literally typed in google: TV show carton fairies with different powers. I scrolled down and low and behold found Winx Club, and everything clicked.

Those winter holidays I watched all the original three seasons by 4kids which is the best! and court up on the new stuff. But to me I also thought that Winx club could be turned into more of a grown up teenage sort of show. I mean their in high school, right?

I then turned to fanfiction and found some good stories turning Winx club into something more grown up and a little less cheesy, but then realized I had ideas to, so why not write my own?

So this brings me to my first question I was asked.

How did you come up with the plot for The Last Year?

It's a bit of a blur on how I came up with it. It was sort of inspired by turning to the dark side. I think I got it from Teen Wolf (love that show by the way) and Allison mum dying and she becomes a bad ass.

You might think this is strange but I get most of my ideas listening to music in the car. The emotion, lyrics and tone of the song gives me idea of scenes and they are clear and vivid in my mind. So the song I was inspired by was Unbroken by Stan Walker, so if you haven't heard it, check it out.

But the funny thing is my original idea of the story was for Sky to be the one who was 'supposedly' killed by the Trix and Bloom wants revenge. So she would become like the Bloom we saw in The Last Year, weaponed trained and always wearing black. But then Sky would be alive and only imprisoned by the Trix and that would be the ending, no Cronus.

But then I don't know really how I got the idea of flipping it around, I guess it worked better for the story. I also loved that idea for the scene I wrote for when Sky finds out Blooms alive, it was as good as a movie in my head….

But I also gathered a lot of inspiration from the original episodes of Winx Club. The Trix, Army of Decay, Hogan, medallion , ice crabs and so on and so on.

How I got the idea for the Lost years?

I also loved the idea of Bloom being a lost warrior princess. Searching for her family and restoring her planet. But also with growing up comes new things, like finding out secrets and alliances and relationships. I wanted the story to be about Bloom finding her true self.

Who is my favourite Character?

My favourite character , it's a bit biased, but Bloom. When I was younger my favourite was Flora or Stella, I still love them, I love all of the Winx together but Bloom is my favourite. I use to not get her, because her outfit was blue but she was the fire fairy? But now I think her character is powerful and has so much potential.

So someone also asked me about a brief sneak peek for the triquel. I can't really say that much without giving away the rest of this story but I will give you a prologue or teaser or whatever you call it.

The grass was green; the sky was blue and not a cloud to spoil the view. It was spring and the smell in the air was sweet as the couple, hand in hand waking through the clearing in the small forest. They stopped in the centre and he put a checked blanket on the ground. She put the basket down on the corner.

He knelt down in his casual white t-shirt and shorts to help her sit down. Her soft coral dress flowing in the breeze. She sat between his legs, her back resting on his chest as he nuzzled her neck. A soft splendid smile came across her lips and she tilted her head to give him a kiss on the cheek.

The couple soaked in the sun, enjoying the freedom they got from the constricted and stressful life they have been having for the past couple of months which haven't been good for her.

He bought his hand to her rounded stomach, slowly and gently caressing It as she put her hand on top of his and she moved her head to kiss him….
