Tris POV

"Hi" he says coldly to me. My heart squeezes painfully.

"Ummm can I please come in" I ask shyly. He slowly moves out of the way to let's me in. I step inside and he closes the door.

"So ummmm there's this rumor going around that I'm cheating on you" I bite my lip worriedly. What if he doesn't believe me?

Four/Tobias POV

It hurts me to hear the rumor that Tris is cheating on me. Is it even true? Would she hurt me like that? What if she came here just to break up with me?

"And I came here to talk to you about it and tell you that it's not true. I have never slept with Peter ever I've never even kissed him" she says looks at me with hopeful eyes. If I didn't have so much doubt I would have believed her. But I didn't.

"That's not what I heard. Almost everybody who saw me said 'I'm sorry', 'you didn't deserve that', or 'I thought Tris was a good person'" I say crossing my arms.

"That's because they are listening to Mona" She retorts almost begging,"you believe me...right?" She takes a step towards me.

"I don't know. It's just when you have all these other people saying one thing while you say another" I say looking at the floor.

Of course I want to believe her. It's just hard to hear rumors like that when I already feel like I'm not good enough for her. I feel like a failure, like I failed in our relationship and now she found someone to make her happy.

"Are you saying you don't believe me" she says hurt. Fuck I feel like a dick.

"Yes" I lie. She looks as if she's about to cry. I'm making her cry, fuck I am going to hell for making her cry.

"Okay" she her voice cracks and she leaves without a goodbye and I can hear her softly crying through the door. What have I done?

The front door swings open and my sister steps through with a weird expression on her face.

"Why was Tris so upset? Did you say something?" She ask pointing her thumb at the door as she walks into the kitchen.

"I have to talk to you" I say back as I follow her.

"So what happened?" She ask. I take a deep breath.

"We had a fight"

"You didn't believe her did you about the stuff Mona said didn't you!" She accuses getting a little angry. I just nod guilty.

"Damn it Tobias! Is this about that shit you told me about not being good enough for her? That she would find someone better, I swear if it is imma smack you" she scolds me. I don't say anything and she takes that as a yes.

"Jesus Christ! She is not going to leave you, you are good enough. If she didn't want you would she have come here to make sure you knew she wasn't cheating. If she came here at all it would have been just dump your dumbass! God you just...Tobias...you need to fix this"

"I know" I say. She nods.

"Okay now I have to clean my room and shower because Matthew is coming over to work on our project" she throws away her Gatorade.

A teasing grin makes its way across my face,"Is that why you are showering? So you can smell all fresh for Matthew?"

"No...not really. Shut up" she says. I watch her run up the stairs quickly upstairs before going to the fridge to stuff my face as I do everyday after school with the guilt of hurting Tris weighing me down.

~JUMP BACK TO AFTER SCHOOL~

Olivia POV

Coach canceled practice today with makes me happy because I can hang with best friend, Zeke.

Now I have my eyes glued to the basketball court as I watch/drool over the basketball players during practice, specifically Matthew as his muscles flex with he moves his arms and his delicious abs when he raises his shirt up to wipe the sweat off his perfect face.

Zeke's hand waves in front of my face bringing my eyes away from the court. He looks at me smugly.

"Watch out you're drooling" he points to my face. My hand flies up to my mouth area.

"Oh shit I am"

"Nope kidding" he laughs at me. Prick.

I shove him,"leave me alone I bet that's how you were before you and Shauna got together"

"I still am. But I'm better at hiding it" he smirks.

"It's just I like him so much and he could just walk by and say hey and I'm just like someone show me how to breathe again" I sigh at my hopelessness and he just laughs. Did I mention he was a prick.

"Stop laughing at me!"

"I'll stop, look he's waving" he points. I follow his finger to Matthew who is waving at us from the sidelines. I wave back and smile. He flashes me a panty dropping smile that makes me nearly turn to mush on the bleachers. I lean my forehead on Zeke's arm.

"Oh my god he smiled at me" I nearly squeal.

"And now your life is complete isn't it" He teases. I pick my head up and stick my tongue out at him.

"No"

Later Shauna comes from upstairs and I leave because she sat in Zeke's lap and they started doing all that coupley shit. I don't like being the third wheel and it don't need to be reminded of how alone I am.

Damnit I have to go to the library and get a new book to read for English. Aghh I want to go home not get some stupid book for a fucking class. I hate school.

I drag myself to the second floor and from the stairs to the damn library.

Once I'm in there I make my way to the fiction section to find my book. After weaving through a zillion bookshelves before finding my book, and guess what, it's on the top shelf. Fuck. Me.

"As if someone would" I hear making me jump a little. I whip my head around to find Mona with a book in her claws. Just what I need, did you notice the sarcasm?

Did I say that out loud? Me and my damn mouth, "oh it's you"

"What are you doing here?" She asks with her stupid shrill voice.

"To get a book. But what are you doing with a book, I thought you were illiterate" I pretend to be confused. She rolls her eyes dramatically.

"You think your so funny"

"Baby I know I'm funny" I toss my hair over my shoulder.

"Anyway to answer your question I came here to get An Abundance of Katherines. I heard its Four's favorite book, I might give it to him to cheer him up after what Tris did" she smiles devilishly with her freakishly white teeth.

Anger rises up in me as I take three threatening steps towards her, "If you come near my brother I will slap those highlights out your head"

"Oh really you can actually reach that high?" As soon as she says that my hand flies up delivering a hard slap to her disgusting face. Her hand reaches up to her cheek in pain, good she deserves a little pain.

"Don't try me bitch, because I will kick your flat ass" I hiss at her before leaving the library without my book.

Oh well.

I finally finished this chapter!

And before you cut my head off for splitting Fourtris temporarily, they will get back together and I think you will like my idea for the next chapter *smiles knowingly*.
