Cartoon hero all-star saga: Universe Mix up

Chapter 22: The great escape

Synopsis: After G-Woman successfully captured the entire team of heroes, it's up to them to make the great escape to find the last two chaos stones and save the universe. Meanwhile, Julius thinks about his mistake and tries to return to Howleen.

In the dry dunes of a massive desert, Julius stood alone on the top of a dune while slowly taking out a necklace from his pocket and looking at it, he stared at it for a few minutes before sighing sadly.

"Nierra, did I make the right decision?" he asked the necklace "was it right of me to leave her behind?" the air stood still as the alien took in the heavy regrets but growled in frustration "no! What's done is done! Howleen can take care of herself! I need to focus on what's really important! Which is finding the chaos stones!" when he placed the necklace back in his pocket and slid his hand out, a note suddenly fell onto the sand and he snatched it up and read it.

Julius, if you are reading this then you know that it's me Howleen. I wrote this to you because how sorry I felt for you when you lost Nierra, it wasn't a bid mystery on what happened to her because I saw the pain in your eyes and I realized that you lost everything important to you. I slipped this note into your pocket when you weren't looking to show you how sorry I am.

Julius stared at the note for minutes before putting it back into his pocket and turned around, the regrets returned and he suddenly felt something he hadn't felt for years.

"I have to return to her" he same to himself before disappearing in a blinding white light.

Meanwhile…

Ben opened his eyes to see a metal ceiling and looked around to see himself in a metal room with no visible doors or windows, he got up on his feet and walked towards one of the walls and pounded on it.

"Hey! What's going on here?" he asked.

"Quit that pounding will ya?"

"Sonic? Is that you?" Ben asked.

"Ben?" Sonic replied "what's going on? Where are you?"

"I'm on the other side of a wall, where are you?" Ben asked.

"Same as you" Sonic replied.

"Oh my aching head!"

"Who's there?" Ben asked.

"Name's Finn" the boy named Finn replied from the other wall.

"My head!"

"Dexter!" Ben said.

"What is going here?" Dexter asked.

"It seems as though we're being captured" Finn said.

"How did we all get here?" Ben asked.

"And where are the others?" Sonic asked, fearing for his friend's safety.

"How should I know? We're in giant metal rooms that don't lead out anywhere!" Dexter shouted.

"There's no need to shout dude!" Finn said, suddenly, the rooms began to shift and the four tried to regain their balance until the rooms stood still and the front walls to their cells opened, revealing an open way with countless Egg-Pawns and Egg-Robo's blocking their paths.

"Follow us, do not attempt to escape" one of the egg-pawns said as the four heroes walked out of their cells and were instantly surrounded by the countless robots, the four looked around to see if their friends had gotten off as well but there was no sign of them.

"Hey, where's our friends?" Ben asked.

"They're alive" one of the egg-pawns replied "for now".

"Any attempt to escape and rescue them will result in immediate execution" an egg-robo said as the army walked the four up to a massive building, the building seemed to be of Victorian design with old windows falling apart and the front door missing.

"What is this place?" Finn asked.

"Silence!" an egg-pawn said as the army and the four walked onto the porch, an egg-pawn walked up to the front door and faced the empty doorway.

"We have arrived" it said, footsteps were suddenly heard from the empty darkness and coming into view was Metal Sonic in his new form with the exception of his blue color.

"Metal Sonic?" Sonic asked.

"Bring them all in" Metal said as he turned around and walked back into the darkness with the army and group of four following him, the group looked around more freely at the mansion to see it was decorated with advance technology and monitors showing the images of the group's friends in one massive cell.

"There they are!" Dexter said "how do we get to that cell?"

"We'll figure a way out" Ben said as the four were led into a large room where G-Woman and Eggman stood in the middle of it all with smug grins on their faces, Eggman raised his hand and the army of robots stopped before them and parted ways into an orderly fashion with Ben, Sonic, Dexter and Finn in the middle of the army.

"Dr. Eggman!" Sonic said "I should've known! You're behind all this!"

"Oh no Sonic, it is not me behind this" Eggman said as he pointed at G-Woman "she is behind this, she is the one responsible for your capture".

"Her?" Ben asked as he looked at the young woman and then back at Eggman, confused.

"Indeed I am" G-Woman said.

"Why you! When I get my hands on you!" Finn said angrily.

"Well I must say, it's good to see you again boy!" Eggman said and laughed wickedly "funny seeing you here!"

"What is the meaning of all this?" Dexter asked "I demand to know doctor!"

"Perhaps you should ask me" G-Woman said as she bowed "all of this was courtesy of me, young man".

"But why?" Ben asked "why did you kidnap us?"

"A simple question" G-Woman said "and with that comes an easy answer! You see, my father was a scientist that was dedicated to making the world a better place".

"We still don't see what that has to do with all this" Sonic said.

"Let me finish" G-Woman said "but my father wasn't long for the world and I grew worry of him, everyday he grew worse and worse but he told me of what to do when he passed away" Sonic was beginning to grow tire of the explanation and tried to escape his captors but Metal Sonic blocked his path "he told me to get rid of all you!"

"What!?" Ben shouted.

"Yes, you all threaten my family!" G-Woman answered "my father told me of what your families have done to mine!"

"But our families never did anything to yours!" Finn said "they barely even know who your family is!"

"That's where you lie" G-Woman said "your families have threaten mine long enough! And I'm going to make sure another generation doesn't threaten mine ever again!"

"What are you going to do?" Dexter asked, G-Woman smiled and pulled a remote from out of her pocket and a TV lowered from the ceiling, it flicked on to reveal everyone in the group in the massive cell before turning to another scene where Shadow, Maria, The Winx and the rest of the group stood in another massive cell.

"Oh no!" Sonic said.

"I'm going to exterminate each and everyone one of you heroes!" G-Woman said.

"NO!" the four shouted, Ben quickly turned on his Omnitrix and slammed down onto the first alien he picked, he suddenly transformed into an alien that could roll up into a ball and ram itself into its enemies, he had transformed into Cannonbolt.

"Guys! Free the others! I'll take care of these two!" Ben said.

"Seize them!" Eggman shouted and the battle had begun, Cannonbolt rammed himself into a swarm of the egg-pawns and destroyed them instantly, Sonic and Finn lunged at G-Woman to grab the remote from her until she jumped out of the way and kicked the blue blur and teen hero in the chests when suddenly, Metal Sonic flew right at Sonic and fired a lighting blast at him and kicked him the face, Finn grabbed his sword from his back and swung it at the robot hedgehog's face, managing to slice its eye in half but Metal Sonic grabbed Finn by the neck and threw him into a wall and he did a deadly spin dash into Finn's chest, the sound of bones cracking could be heard through Finn's screams of pain when Cannonbolt charged at Metal Sonic and rammed and drove himself into his back, Finn escaped from Metal's grip and quickly ran to find the room containing the group, Dexter and Eggman faced each other and quickly grabbed a remote out from their pockets and pressed on its button. A large robotic suit suddenly popped out of nowhere and appeared behind Dexter, he made an extraordinary jump into the cockpit and grabbed hold onto levers to control the robot. The egg-mobile suddenly zoomed behind Eggman and he jumped into its seat before turning to Dexter, out of the bottom of the egg-mobile came a large ball connected to a series of chains, Eggman gave a wicked laugh and charged his egg-mobile at Dexter's robot but Dexter's robot merely grabbed the chains under the egg-mobile and began to swing it around until finally releasing it by throwing it into a wall with Eggman jumping out of its seat before running away.

"Guys! Guys where are you?!" Finn shouted as he ran down the hallway.

"Hey you!" a voice shouted, Finn looked around to see where the voice when he heard it but he didn't see anything "down here!" the teen boy looked down to see three eggs standing on the ground, the funny thing about these eggs though, was the fact that they had eyes and mouths!

"Who are you guys?" Finn asked as he picked them up.

"I'm Dan, that's Jason and this Christie" the first egg said.

"If you're looking for your friends, they're in there!" Jason said as nodded at a door to the right.

"Cool! Thanks dude!" Finn said as he ran over to the door and tried to open it but when he pulled on its hinge, it remained shut "huh? What the heck?"

"Enter password" a computerized voice said above Finn.

"Forget the password!" Finn shouted as he grabbed his sword and dug it deep into the door before running up and down until he succeeded in bringing it down, the sound of the door falling and banging on the ground caught the attention of everyone in the room, the entire group of heroes watched as Finn entered the room "everyone! We have to leave now! Jake, get the other group and let's leave!"

"Other group?" Jake asked.

"Just do it man!" Finn yelled.

"Geez! Okay man!" Jake said as he stretched out the door and stretched to the door to the room that contained the other group, his hand turned into a fists and grew into an immense size and he smashed his hand against the door.

"What the heck?" Shadow asked as Jake entered the room.

"Come on everyone! This way!" Jake said, everyone in the containment rooms quickly ran out of the rooms and ran down the hallway.

"Dude! There's a ton of these guys and gals!" Finn said as he ran beside Jake.

"Is there some kind of transportation to get us all out of here?" Samurai Jack asked as everyone continued to run.

"I think those airships are still outside!" Finn said "if we can get one of them, we're all out of here!"

"Sounds like a plan!" Mega Man said "everyone come on! Lead the way kid!"

"Sure dude!' Finn said as everyone ran to the front of the mansion, Cannonbolt and Sonic both curled up into balls and charged at Metal Sonic and G-Woman and did a spin Dash into their chests before doing the same attack again until they saw everyone who had been captured running down the hallway.

"Ben! Let's go!" Sonic said "you too Dexter!"

"Be right there!" Cannonbolt said as he transformed back into Ben and followed the blue blur with Dexter running beside him.

"Wait! The chaos stones and chaos emeralds!" Knuckles said "where are they?"

"G-Woman must've taken them from us when we were all unconscious!" Korra said as everyone was getting closer to the entrance.

"No need to worry, I got this" Shadow said as he suddenly teleported away from the group and reappeared a second later with the chaos emeralds and chaos stones.

"Alright Shadow!" Bloom said.

"Nice snag dude!" Duncan said, Shadow only nodded and continued ahead with everyone, suddenly, a swarm of egg-pawns dropped from the ceiling and faced the group of heroes, Sonic and Knuckles jumped up into the air and did a double spin dash at a line of the egg-pawns while Amy grabbed her Piko Piko hammer and whacked an egg-pawn in the face, Silver and Blaze used a telekinetic fire blast a group of the robots but more and more kept coming down.

"Let's get them Mr. B!" the Little Sister said as she sat on the bug daddy's arm, the monstrosity gave a deep bellow and used his arm drill to destroy two whole groups in one swing of his arm, the metal scraps from the egg-pawns flew everyone as the big daddy destroyed the swarm with ease.

"Wow, I'm impressed with that guy" Conker said.

"There they are!" G-Woman said as she, Eggman and Metal Sonic ran down the hallway and towards the group "do not let them escape!"

"Everyone, we need to hurry up and leave!" Fishlegs said with fear.

"Guys! I found the exit!" Buttercup shouted, everyone followed the sound of her voice and found her floating in the open doorway of the mansion, Buttercup quickly flew out of the doorway and with the entire group running out with her, and Eddy somehow managed to grab a camera from his back and started to take photos.

"Oh man! We're going to be rich!" he said greedily.

"Quick, everyone onto that egg-carrier!" Sonic said as he pointed to one of the egg-carriers parked on the ground, Tails and Double D ran up to the door of the carrier and saw a small computer screen with a keyboard under it.

"A self-automated computer? With a password?" Double D asked as he cracked his fingers "this should be easy!"

"Enter password" the computer said, Double D and Tails quickly typed away at the small keyboard and entered the password, the screen suddenly beeped and turned green "password accepted, welcome doctor" the door to the egg-carrier opened up and everyone ran into the massive ship.

"Get out of my ship!" Eggman shouted as the door closed.

"That was a close one!" Mac said.

"It's not over yet! We still need to get to the mushroom-a kingdom!" Mario said as he turned to Sonic "how do you fly this thing?" there was a loud cough and the two turned to see Jimmy, Tails, Double D, Dexter, Frankie, Jackson, Ghoulia, Jak, Chris, Ratchet, Phineas, Ferb, Techna, Captain Olimar, Timmy and Dipper smiling at them.

"Leave that to us!" Tails said as the group of the smartest heroes ran to the main control room, upon entering it, the group found a series of buttons and levers on different panels and screens that projected the stability of the airship.

"Alright, let's get flying!" Phineas said as he and Ratchet walked over to one of the levers and pulled down on it, back in the main room, everyone was rejoicing over their victory and escape from the villains.

"Robecca!" a familiar voice said, the steam bot turned around to see Venus and Rochelle walking over to her and smiled.

"That was amazing!" SpongeBob said as he, Timmy, and Danny looked out a window "I never been so pumped in my life!"

"Hey guys…"

"Did you see how we all escaped? We were all like-"

"Guys!" everyone turned to see Dib and Gaz standing at one of the windows of the airship as it began to get off the ground and into the air, Dib had a look a sheer terror on his face while Gaz just crossed her arm and didn't care.

"What's wrong Dib?" Clawd asked.

"Wasn't Zim with us?" Dib asked as he looked around, everyone suddenly realized that Zim had disappeared when they all escaped and no one had noticed "that little alien! He left us to take over the world!"

"Calm down Dib, I'm pretty sure he didn't leave us" Johnny said.

"No, he escaped" Dukey said as he pointed out a window, everyone rushed over to the windows of the ship to see a purple alien cruiser flying in the sky as Zim piloted the Voot Cruiser, GIR was sitting behind him as he played with MiniMoose.

"That stupid alien!" everyone shouted.

"He was just trying to use us!" Dib said "come back here Zim and face us all like an alien… Man… Thing!"

"Dude that was the worst" Duncan said.

"It's no use, just let him be" Silver said as he turned away from the window "right now we need to focus on the last two chaos stones we can find at the mushroom kingdom".

"Hey guys look! There's another ship coming our way!" Mabel said.

"Mabel, what are you talking about?" Jenny asked when suddenly, the entire airship started to shake violently as something had collided with it, Jenny looked out the window again and saw an airship of similar structure flying directly at the airship the group was in.

"It's Eggman!" Sonic said.

"We need to get out of here now!" Mandy said.

"I'll go and tell the others to fly faster!" Daxter said as he began to run to the main control when the ship shaked again, everyone tried to remain balanced but the vibrational shaking of the airship made it hard to do so, the other airship began to fly closer and closer to the heroes ship as Eggman poked his head out of a manhole from the top of his carrier and smiled evilly.

"We're getting closer! Fly faster!" Eggman said.

"On it sir!" Bokkun said as he pressed down on a whole set of buttons to maneuver the ship.

"Everyone hit the deck!" Clover said as the other airship's nose collided with the back of the ship, the back of the ship lifted over and everyone went falling and sliding down to the other end of the ship, Cathy slid down the floor until she stretched both of her arms and grabbed a hold of two poles, everyone began to slide over to her until she used her stretched out arms to grab everyone into a giant pile.

"Is everyone okay?" Cathy asked.

"Not really!" Bloo shouted "someone's foot is in my butt!"

"Sorry!" Patrick said as he removed his foot from Bloo's butt, in the main control room, Tails and Phineas saw the carnage on the back of the airship from a monitor.

"Guys! Guys! We need to go faster!" Daxter said as he ran into the room.

"We're going as fast as we can!" Jak said as he pressed down on a button.

"Are you all sure you know what you're doing?" Jak asked.

"Sure enough!" Dipper said, in the other airship, Eggman walked down a long hallway until he reached an open door and walked into the room where Mephiles, Plankton and Denzel Crocker sat at the screen of a computer.

"Any progress on the cannon yet?" he asked.

"Almost, those two ninnies are almost down putting it up" Plankton said, on the top of the ship, Bocoe and Docoe were trying their hardest to turn on the cannon but the fast speed of the airship made to difficult to do so, one moment they were standing on the ship, the next they were hanging onto the cannon for dear life!

"Tell them to work harder!" Eggman said as he turned around and walked out of the room.

"Yes sir" Plankton said, grabbing a microphone and yelled into it "pick up the slack!" back on the heroes airship, Silver used his telekinetic powers to bend a piece of metal out of a pole and threw it out the window where it hit the other ship by smashing the front window.

"Ooh! Me next! Me next!" Billy said as he grabbed a crate and threw it out the window but instead of hitting the ship, it fell to the ground.

"Moron, out of my way!" Buttercup said as she tossed two whole crates out the window where they hit the front of the villains airship.

"Those won't be enough to stop them, we need something heavier!" Rex said.

"Here, use this!" Vector said as he and Luigi tossed Rex a block of metal, Rex nodded and ran to the window and tossed it as hard as he could at the other ship, creating a large hole in its front.

"That's not enough to put it down, I got this!' Jimmy said as he grabbed one of his inventions in his pocket and aimed it at the airship, but before he could fire, a powerful force flew straight at the ship and nearly knocked it down.

"What was that?!" Tak asked.

"We've got company!" Cleo said as she pointed out the window, everyone looked in her direction to see Metal Sonic flying straight for the ship again to attempt to knock it down and crash it.

"I've got this one!" Sonic said as he began climbing the ladder to the top of the carrier, Mega Man began to trail behind.

"Me too, I'm itching for some action!" he said, Sonic nodded and opened the hatch, the two heroes jumped out of the carrier and onto the top of the airship.

"Hey metal head! Up here!" Sonic shouted, Metal Sonic looked up at Sonic's direction and charged at him but was immediately greeted with a blast from Mega Man's blaster and a spin dash from Sonic, Metal Sonic flew up in the air and charged down like a missile before hitting the two, sending them flying into the air where Metal Sonic charged again and slashed them in their backs.

"Here we go!" Metal Sonic heard before receiving a powerful hit in the side of his face, he growled in pain and looked to see Mario with his hammer, Metal Sonic charged straight towards him and tried to hit but Mario jumped into the air and gave Metal Sonic a double fist slam on the top of his head, Sonic and Mega Man ran at the robot hedgehog and kicked him in the back.

"Die!" Metal Sonic shouted as he grabbed Sonic by the throat and began to choke him until Mario whacked Metal Sonic in the back, making him release Sonic and turning right at the plumber, Mario yelped with fear as the robot prepared to attack until Mega Man blasted his face, the blast he gave him was powerful enough to knock it right off his shoulders, as the robots body fell to the ground, Mario and Sonic turned to the robot warrior with shocked faces while Mega Man shrugged.

"He was getting on my nerves" he said.

"Guys! Look out!" SpongeBob shouted as he poked his head out of the hole and pointed behind them, the three turned around to see Metal Sonic's body began to transform but instead of turning into something new, it just released the forms of Pharaoh man, Sheep man, Ice man, Napalm man and Slash man.

"That was weird" Sonic said.

"I got this" Mario said as he readied his mallet like a gold club and whacked each of the robots off the carrier and into the front window of the other one like mere golf balls.

"Fore!" SpongeBob shouted, inside of the other carrier, Eggman watched with anger as the shards of the carrier were smashed to pieces and pounded his fist on the control panel.

"That's it! Fire the cannon!" he yelled, in the other carrier, everyone watched from the windows as the cannon on the top of the other ship began to point at their carrier and grew fearful.

"Uh… Does anyone want to get away from here as soon as possible?" Stella asked as she clung to Brandon's arm.

"Not to worry everyone!" Jimmy said as he entered the room "we just need someone to distract Eggman and the others while we engage the rocket thrusters".

"Okay I'll do it" Patrick said "why must I be so desirable!"

"Not you!" Jimmy said at him, Patrick nodded and stood in his place.

"I shall go and distract him" Shadow said as he walked up to Jimmy "I can use chaos control to warp to the carrier and destroy the cannon".

"What about what happens when we leave?" Chowder asked.

"I'll use chaos control to warp back to this carrier" Shadow said, Maria then ran up to him and hugged him.

"Good luck" she said, Shadow nodded and teleported away from the ship and into the other one, everyone turned back to the window to see Shadow walking towards the cannon until it suddenly fired, the dark hedgehog ducked out of the way while the blast from the carrier hit the ship, creating a large crater in the side of the ship, Shadow knew he had to hurry and fast, he turned back to the cannon and created a chaos spear in his hand and….

"Hey Shadster" Shadow turned around to see Sonic, Mario and Mega Man standing before him and waving.

"Faker? What the heck are you doing here?" Shadow asked.

"We're here to help you" Sonic asked.

"Well I don't need any" Shadow said as he turned around and he suddenly saw Eggman with hundreds of egg-pawns behind him.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the rodents and their friends!" Eggman said before raising his hand towards them "attack my minions!" the egg-pawns suddenly charged at the four and prepared to attack.

"Sonic, you and your friends handle the egg-pawns and I'll get the cannon!" Shadow said.

"Way ahead of you!" Sonic said as he did a spin dash at a group of the robots, Mario readied his mallet and jumped at a group of the robots and whacked them while hanging onto Sonic's arm and the two did a double spin dash at the robots and a mega homing attack on five of them, Mega Man readied his blaster and shot a line of them in smithereens and shot at more of them. Eggman clearly knew where this would lead and quickly turned around to escape when Sonic and Mario suddenly did a spin dash to his back, sending him flying forward and nearly off the Shipp if he had hadn't grabbed onto the ledge. Eggman began panic as he tried to hang on to survive while Sonic walked towards him.

"This ends now Eggman" he said as he stood over him.

"Sonic, help me!" Eggman pleaded but Sonic ignored him and slammed his foot down onto Eggman's hands, the old doctor screamed with pain and terror as he fell down to the ground, the sound of robots smashing brought Sonic's attention to see Mega Man destroying the last of the robots, Shadow used his chaos spear to create a hole in the cannon's main shooter.

"Come on, let's go" Shadow said as he teleported himself, Sonic, Mario and Mega Man off the carrier as the cannon exploded, everyone watched as the rest of the ship exploded along with everything inside it while Shadow and the others teleported back into the main ship where everyone greeted them.

"Alright Sonic and Co!" Mac said.

"Way to go guys! Let's celebrate with some cheese!" Jason said.

"Don't, just don't" Dan said to him.

"Hang on everyone, it's not over yet" Edd said "we still need the last two chaos stones".

"Not to mention my friends are missing" Pogoriki said.

"And Jorgen is too" Wanda said.

"Wait, Jorgen's what?" Timmy asked.

"It's a long story Timmy" Wanda said "while you were gone, Crocker sent Jorgen to somewhere called the Null Void".

"We can get him and Pogo's friends later" Sky said "first we find those stones you guys mentioned".

"Right, to the-a Mushroom-a Kingdom! Mario said as he ran up to the main control room and entered it "guys! We need-a to get to the-a mushroom-a kingdom!"

"On it Mario!" Phineas said "next stop, the mushroom kingdom!"

"Care to do the honors Shadow?" Knuckles asked as he handed Shadow the green chaos emerald, Shadow nodded and took the emerald from his hand and raised it in the air.

"Chaos Control!" Shadow shouted, the entire airship was engulfed in a blinding white light and disappeared a few seconds later, completely gone from view from hundreds of miles around.
