Note: I STRONGLY recommend my dear readers, to re-read Chapter One again. I've edited ALL chapters, and especially chapter one quite a lot of stuff. I also changed Izanami's appearance a little. Once you read it, you'd know what I'm talking about. Depending on some people, chapter one might filled up some holes and loops that I've caused in your head with my inexperience and amateurish plot setting... H-Haha.

Disclaimer: I do not own KuroBasu. Except for my plot and OCs-desu~

Bread Frenzy

Third Person's POV

The soft repetition sound of pen clicking, the scribbling, and occasional laughter from the students resonated through every nook and cranny in the school. Windows threw wide in the hope of tempting in a non-existent breeze. Outside the windows, the sun shone kindly and the trees which framed the scene were golden and lively behind Seirin's schoolyard.

Amidst such a warm and bright morning, there stood a lone figure in a barren, secluded hallway. I was only late for ten minutes though...Izanami thought bitterly. She released a deep sigh as she listened to the muffle sound of teacher's lecture over the wall. Reiterating stuff that has been said or taught since long ago.

Izanami was unfortunately, made to stand in the hallway through out the whole period as a punishment for being late. Not like she particularly cared, since the first class was History – the synonym for history would be 'Boring', wouldn't it be? Anyhow, she preferred standing for an hour in the hallway to listen the long-winded speech about wars and politics.

Scuffling her feet on the concrete floor idly, Izanami started to hum a melody to quench the boredom welling up inside her until the next class–

"Nami-chan?"

Just when she was getting to the best part, a familiar voice stopped her from doing so. Yes, it was none other than the pun master; Izuki Shun.

"Izuki-senpai? What're you doing here?" Izanami asked in a hush tone. It'd be bad if the teacher caught her chatting away while she was being punished. Her punishment will sure be doubled if that was the case.

"Ah, that's right! I'm here to inform you that there will be a meeting for our basketball club today. Bring Kagami and Kuroko along to the rooftop during lunch break later, yeah? The coach have something to say. It seems." Izuki alerted the manager in advance.

Meeting? That's rare... She thought that there won't be any co-curriculum activity today. Well. At any rates, it probably would be about things concerning the Interhigh or the training regime. Just like the usual.

"Okay. I'll tell the guys later." Izanami affirmed the sophomore as she smiled lightly.

"Then, my job is done~ Do your best, Nami-chan!" Izuki said his goodbye to the gray-haired, before walking away to the staircase. As Izuki descended the stairs, he spared one last glance at the junior. Feelings of pity and guilt washed over him as the girl remained clueless and ignorant about the impending doom which lies ahead of her.

"Coach, why did you gather us here?" Kagami asked. A step behind him was Kuroko, as he followed the redhead in tow after the bell has rang. Whereas Izanami was leaning against the wall for support since she was the first to arrive before them.

Everyone, including Furihata, Kawahara and Fukuda, were summoned by the coach. As Riko and the rest of the other regulars were already waiting at the rooftop for them, "I'm sorry to have called you guys out so suddenly. Then, should I cut the chase and go to the main point?" Riko said. Petals showering over her as the smile on her grew wider. That jester smile... No matter how you see it, it's definitely fishy! Only when Riko was plotting something behind would she wear such a sweet and sugarcoated smile that could even made people suffer from diabetes just from the looks of it.

During Izanami's stay in Seirin basketball club, she has already grasped their coach's personality and her ways of doing things fairly well. She dared say. And 'scary' was an understatement... Especially her poison cooking. Yikes.

"Actually, today is the day when our school cafeteria sell The Special Sandwich. Have you guys heard of it?" Riko asked. Hoping at least one of the freshmen knew what she was going on about. But alas, all the brunette received was a shake from their heads.

"We thought so," said Riko. Sighing. Hyuga then took the baton over as he explained further, "The Special Sandwich is a sandwich filled with black iberian pig. With the addition of the three best delicacies; caviar, fole gras and truffle."

"In another words, it's a phantom sandwich sold at Seirin High!" Koganei piped in. His cursive mouth drooled slightly as he bellowed out passionately. Even Mitobe nodded his head vehemently at Koga's remark. Was the bread that amazing?

"... And?" Izanami inquired. She gets that this sandwich is very divine-like and worshiped by the second-years. However, she still couldn't grasp where this conversation was going. And why was she starting to feel unease about it?

"Now, the point here is, what makes them so special about it is that rumor has it said that eating the sandwich makes you succeed at everything you do. Ranging from love, school grades, to club activities." Riko added on as the first-years nodded in understanding. But, what about it?

Izuki coughed afterward, "Because of such rumors, the students all wants to get their hands on one of it. But, the bread only sold on 25th of each month. And its number are very limited, too."

"Today is the 25th..." Kuroko mumbled lowly to himself. But Izanami catches the bluenette's words just as quick. Oh no. Please tell me it's not what I'm thinking. Feeling sweats damping her palms, the manager constantly wiped it off over her skirt. There was just no way that's going to happen, right?

"That's why, we want to ask a favor of all of you." Riko said as she beamed at the bunch with a Cheshire grin. At that moment, Izanami's fear has been confirmed. And she wanted to fled so badly...

"Nami-chan, where are you going...?"

The gray-haired flinched at her coach's words. Damn. Just a little further–! Her hand was already on the door knob, and all she needed to do was just turn it! Then, she'd be free! However, God is cruel at times like this.

Izanami swerved her head robotically while holding on her breath, "I-I'm going back to c-class?" she stammered. Sweating profusely now under Riko's smiling eyes, "You aren't going anywhere, Nami-chan. Not until I explained the reason for summoning everyone here." The brunette stated mildly. If it wasn't for the black aura spreading like wildfire behind Riko's back, Izanami and the rest would have let down their guards.

"I want you guys to buy The Special Sandwich from the cafeteria for us."

Kagami began to jabber incoherently at their coach's request. Kuroko blinked his oceanic orbs passively. Furihata, Kawahara and Fukuda slackened their jaws. Izanami on the other hand, face-palmed herself. So, that's what Izuki-senpai meant by 'Do your best'...

"But... Why us?" Kagami asked. Though the redhead wasn't very fond of being an errand boy, it couldn't be that hard to just buy a bread from the school canteen. Could it? Furthermore, he was curious about the taste as well. Seeing how the seniors have drooled over as they ranted on and on about this Special Sandwich. Speaking of bread, he hasn't eaten any lunch yet! Maybe he could get his hands on a few more for himself while he was at it.

Now. If only it was that easy.

"It's a tradition that the first-years would buy The Special Sandwich once for their seniors in Seirin." Everyone's mouth formed into a small 'o' at their captain's elucidation. Well, if their seniors had ordered them to, they've gotta do it. They can't say no or oppose to it. That's how the seniority system work after all.

"Maa maa~ Don't worry about it. It's actually not that scary! It might be crowded, but I'm sure you guys will make it just fine! No problem!" Koganei encouraged as he flashed them a thumb-up. Which totally ain't encouraging at all for Izanami. Remember? She dislike stuff that are a pain in the ass.

Letting out a deep sigh, Izanami groused lethargically. "And... Why am I dragged in this, too?" Before even starting, her whole body has already turned jelly-like. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say she has aged a few years upon hearing the request from her seniors.

"Like Hyuga said, it's a tradition. There's no helping it. Come on, if you guys don't hurry up, The Special Sandwich will all be sold out!" Riko urged on as she began to shove the first-years out of the rooftop. Kagami and the rest then left the place, albeit reluctantly. To carry out whatever this tradition was in Seirin High.

Today is going to be a long day ahead of them...

"This is not 'crowded' anymore. It's a BATTLEFIELD, for Pete's sake!" Izanami cried, as she hunched down and clutched her head in despair. It was impossible to begin with... J-Just, just look at the army of students swarming up the cafeteria! The scene was so chaotic that you could hardly distinguish whether they were buying bread or having a riot!

"What's scary isn't the number... But the clubs!" Furihata was the next to holler in misery. His finger shook as he pointed to the Judo, Rugby, and Weight Lifting clubs, whom have built up an ultimate fortress before the counter to prevent anyone from passing through them.

"So, even gate keepers from Hell are present... We're very much screw, then." Izanami muttered forlornly. She don't care if this is a tradition or not, there are so many ways of dying and being squashed to death was the last way she wanted to die in. Really.

However, Kuroko was the only one unfazed by the massive crowds and madness. Even the always hot-headed and reckless Kagami was hesitating, "I guess we've to rush in." Kagami said ardently. Looking ever so determined to get through the mass of crowds and the impenetrable fortress. If it's a contest of strength, then he might have a chance...!

"I wish everyone's luck on this! Then, I'm goin–"

"You're coming with us too, Izana. Don't think you can escape so easily." Kagami said as he clamped his hand down on the gray head, before Izanami could make a dash for the exit. "But, Taiga..." She pleaded to the man with dolly eyes. If this couldn't move the redhead, then she really have no idea what could possibly work anymore.

"Kuroko can go first, followed by Furihata and the rest. Izana and I will be the last to go. If things didn't work out."

Wait, did he just ignored me!?

"Then, I'm off." Kuroko said, before taking off. Izanami don't know why, but it seemed relatively easy for Kuroko to mingle with the crowds without triggering any respond or attention from them. For the first time, Izanami was envious of the bluenette's low presence.

After a few minutes have passed, Furihata, Fukuda, and Kawahara exchanged glances to one another. Gulping. They then showed their mettle by charging bravely toward their tombs. For that, Izanami earnestly salute to them deep in her heart.

However, no more than a minute had passed since entering the crowds, the three of them were soon thrown out in the air. Which meant –

"We're the only ones left, huh." Kagami said as he began to crack his neck and knuckles. Doing some stretching and warm-ups by himself first, as the sparks in his eyes start to glowed brightly. The fire that always lit before a match, was now burning wildly in those crimson orbs of his.

Izanami snorted at his pumped up, energetic state, "I thought only basketball made you thrill. To think even a bread could make you become this competitive..." she uttered passively.

Now that he was done with warming-up, Kagami shot her an enigmatic look. As if debating whether she was being sarcastic yet again, or was simply talking to herself. Well. Either way, the redhead would never be able to figure out what's going on inside her head. To him, Izanami was a puzzle; a puzzle that he could never piece together.

Maybe, if he cracks open her skull and dissect it – okay, not possible.

"Taiga, I'll guard your back. So, you lead the way."

Kagami's eyes widened at the girl's words. He even choked on his own spits. D-Did he hear it right? Izanami, guarding his back...? Was she sick? Or, he had heard it wrong because he didn't dig his ears? Maybe, she meant she'd stab his back?

"Oi. Why are you looking like you've just seen a ghost?" Izanami asked as she smacked his arm to jolt him back to reality. It worked. Kagami finally closed his agape mouth and the size of his pupils have reverted back to normal, "I-Izana, are you having a fever?" he asked with worries plastered all over his face. This was definitely not Izanami. If she wasn't sick, then she must be possessed by evil spirits! Yes, that must be the case!

"That's rude! Is it that strange for me to help out my childhood friend!?" The gray-haired huffed indignantly. Stomping her foot as she scowled at the redhead before her. She could be nice like an angel if she wanted to, you know. It's just depend on who she's facing with.

"Yes. Very."

"Die. Bakagami." Of course there's no way I'd say that. Izanami thought. Internally smirking. If she put it nicely, it'd be called 'Guarding'. The truth was, she meant using him as a meat shield. That was her intention all along, thus the ingratiating smile she had shown when she told Kagami about it. No wonder Kagami felt rather insecure when the girl said that. Or, maybe it was insinuating because those words came from her?

"If we don't hurry up, The Special Sandwich will be sold out! C'mon, get your ass moving!" Sorry, Taiga. This is how reality work.

Pressing her hand on his back, Izanami urged on as she ushered the redhead forward. Ignoring his protest about he knew how to walk, etc.

As soon as they entered the battlefield, both of them began to struggle and fight their way through the horde of students. With Kagami on the front-line, Izanami was being shielded from most of the damage. While Kagami was busy having a showdown contest of strength between him and those members from Judo, Izanami has accidentally bumped onto the redhead's back due to the pushing and shoving from people at the back.

However, Kagami was too engrossed in his battle that he didn't notice it.

Just then, a thought suddenly occurred to Izanami. When her body was still pressing against Kagami's back; was his back always this... huge? And sturdy?

Wait. Why was she admiring his back in such a bleak situation where they'd be squished flat at any time!? The madness of The Special Sandwich must be getting to her. No doubt about it.

Soon, Kagami lost and both him and Izanami were flown out from the crowds. Kagami was plunged into the floor with his head fell first. Followed by the gray head, who's body was now sprawling on the ground.

"This is Japanese lunch time rush!" After having lifted up his face off the debris, Kagami bellowed out in English. Aghast by the gruesomeness of those people who were desperate to get the limited sandwich. Now, he finally had a taste of what it's like to be living in a fast-paced, modern society.

Izanami rolled her eyes at his shock expression, "Exactly." She chimed in. The aftermath were still fresh in her mind as she rubbed her sore back that has made contact with the hard concrete floor.

So, Taiga is no good... Izanami thought somberly. Maybe, it was a little too much for Kagami to go up against the 'Big Three' clubs in their school. After all, strength isn't everything there needs to be. You also need other factors, such as 'skills' in order to win. Apparently, it was still too early for Kagami to face them.

"Uhm... Everyone, I've already bought one."

Everyone whipped their heads at the all so familiar monotone voice. There, they saw Kuroko came out of the crowds unscathed, and without breaking a single sweat. No. They weren't actually looking at Kuroko, but gazes locked dead at the plastic foil he was holding; The Special Sandwich!

"W-When did you bought them, Kuroko!?" Furihata exclaimed in surprise.

Kuroko blinked his eyes at his fellow clubmates' enthusiasm, "Just now." He replied apathetically.

"But, how!?" Kagami hollered. How did the bluenette able to get the bread, when Kagami himself, the likely candidate of succeeding it, failed miserably!?

"How, you asked... I was just following the flow, then I somehow ended up at the front. So, I left the money at the counter and grabbed the sandwich that was left on top of it."

Everyone's jaw dropped at the bluenette's revelation. So, that was how it was!?

"Well, then I guess we're done here... Let's return to the rooftop before the break ends." Kagami said as he ruffled his hair. However, when he noticed a certain gray head wasn't following them and was still remained seated on the ground, Kagami paused. "Izana, what's wrong?"

Izanami flinched at his voice. She then quickly rolled up her socks and rose up from her position. "N-Nothing! Let's go!"

She started skipping her steps playfully as she made her way to the rooftop, where their senpais were waiting at. The rest then trod after their manager. However, Kuroko's gaze never once leave Izanami, as he stared at her lumbering along the way...

-After school-

"I didn't know that Kuroko-kun could make such an expression. That was something new."

Izanami muttered, as the image of Kuroko's blissful face after taking a bite of The Special Sandwich were etched and still fresh in her mind. Ugh! If only she had the time to snap a picture of it!

Well, she admits that the bread didn't called 'The Special Sandwich' for nothing. She, too, has took a bite of it. And that lavish taste... the tender texture of the black iberian pig's meat... Gosh, after going through such ordeal, it was finally worth it!

"Honestly, I've never seen Kuroko that happy before." Kagami assented.

Kuroko, Kagami, and Izanami, were all heading home now after their school has ended since a while ago. Since today they have no club activities, they left the school much earlier than usual.

While the two American returnee were commenting on Kuroko's 'Once-a-life-time' rare expression, Kuroko kept on giving wary glances at Izanami ever since their lunch break has ended.

"Izanami-san."

"Hm?"

"Actually, you sprained your ankle during lunch break. Hadn't you?"

The trio stopped in their tracks, as a silence ensued within the group.

The silence was soon broke by a loud cry, "WHAT!? Is that true, Izana!?" Kagami looked at his childhood friend frantically. When did that happened? And if that's the case, how come he didn't notice it?

Oh, why thank you, Kuroko-kun. You just spoiled my perfect acting. Izanami mentally face-palmed. She thought she could hold it up until she reaches home, but the phantom sixth man has to ruin it for her. It was kind of uncanny. That acuity of Kuroko's, was so right on the dot to the point of 'scary' wouldn't be able to suffice it. Izanami even started to doubt whether the bluenette has supernatural abilities. Like, reading minds. Perhaps?

"I-It was just a little sprain... There's no need to fuss over it–"

"Izana," Kagami interrupted whatever excuses the girl was going to put up with. His face turned serious and stern as he continued, "Which leg did you sprained?"

Izanami subconsciously bit her lower lip. It wasn't something Izanami would want to trouble others and make them worried about. It just... wasn't in her nature to do that. Being a burden, dragging people's down, weak, and helpless. She despised these characteristics the most. And most importantly, she hated to be one of those.

However, now, she felt like she was deprived of clothes and naked with her skins peeled off under the intense scrutiny of Kagami. His crimson orbs filled with concern and worries. Something that the girl wasn't really used to seeing or experiencing. In both Kagami and life. Izanami heaved a deep sigh, before relenting. "The... right." She gave in.

Kagami scrooched and began to roll down her right ankle's sock. The moment he unrolled it, his frown deepened; it was bruised and swollen. Badly.

"I can't believe you can still walk in this condition." Kagami remarked. He tried touching the spot, and he wasn't even applying any pressure on it. Izanami has already winced in pain by just contact alone. "Ugh–!"

"I'm taking you to the hospital." Kagami said. Which result in a maunder of protest from the injured girl, "Wha–!? No! There's no need to go to a hospital with such small injury. A nearby clinic is enough..." Izanami demurred. She knew it wasn't a common flu where it can be cure with just home medicine and some rest. She has to get examined by a certified doctor for this. Since she has to get her ankle treated anyways, she'd rather opt for going to a local clinic than a grand hospital. Either way, both places are reek of sterile chemicals.

"Izana." Again, that piercing gaze of Kagami's resurfaced. Anyone could see that he was not pleased by her nonchalance and seemingly unconcerned attitude on her health.

"Shush, Taiga. I know! I never say I won't get it treated. It's just that I prefer a clinic to a hospital. That's all." Izanami uttered as she hung her head low. Why does she felt she was being chided by her parents when it was only Kagami and Kuroko here?

"... W-What are you doing?"

Izanami quirked a brow at Kagami's crouch form. With his back facing her, he said. "Even idiots know that you can't walk with this leg of yours anymore. Just get on. I'll take you to the local clinic."

Izanami stared at his figure for a moment, before cocking her head to a side. "So, are you admitting you're an idiot?"

"JUST GET ON!" Kagami reiterated through gritted teeth. Why does she have to always pack a punch or spikes in her words? Does she really finds it that fun to get under his skin and tick him off?

"Kagami-kun is right. It's best not to overexert yourself, Izanami-san." Kuroko concurred with what the redhead said. He could tell that the girl has been holding in and pushing herself ever since the lunch break has ended. If it continues, there's no doubt her injury will only worsen. And neither him nor Kagami would want to see that, would they?

Now, Izanami was in a bind. She isn't a kid anymore. Moreover, being piggyback with so many eyes watching...

She contemplated as her brows knitted tightly together. If she say she could walk on her own, will they allow her? Nah. She doubts it.

"If you said so," The girl sighed, while massaging her temples. "Just don't complain I'm heavy or anything."

"I won't. Stop your babbling and just hurry up and get on. How many times do you want me to repeat that..." Kagami groused irritatingly. He even started to doubt whether she did that to embarrass him. Like, taking her own sweet time while he keeled over the ground like some sort of weirdo on a street. Now, that was a misunderstanding.

Izanami proceeded to leap and latched onto his back. Wrapping her arms around the redhead's shoulder while Kagami supported her weight by holding on her thighs. "Yosh. Let's go." Kagami stood up as he bounced the girl lightly to move her to a position where he could hold her in a comfortable way. The trio– currently duo, resumed their walk as they strolled leisurely down the street. Not minding the occasional glances from those passerby.

"... By the way, did you gained a little weigh– Ouch!" Before Kagami could finish his sentence, he has already being bitten on the head. There wasn't a need for him to finish his sentence, because Izanami knew after he had spoken the forbidden word 'gained'. Call it woman intuition, or whatever intuition people could thought of.

"Go bald, Bakagami."

"D-Damn! Don't bite and pull my hair at the same time! I-It hurts!" Kagami cried. However, the girl still wouldn't let go and continued gnashing her teeth against his head. What a poor thing. The bite marks will surely serve as a very good reminder to the redhead to watch where he's going. And be careful not to 'step on a landmine' when it comes to girls.

They get along really well. Kuroko thought, as he watched the comical display at a sideline. Even though Kagami looked at the bluenette imploringly for assistance, Kuroko shrugged him off as he found the scene rather amusing to him. It was as if watching a live show of 'Tom and Jerry' in human disguise.

"Speaking of which, how did you know that I had sprained my ankle, Kuroko-kun?" Izanami inquired. A fistful of red hair were still held strongly in her grip as she said.

"When we were returning to the rooftop, you were hobbling. Although you hid it well by disguising as skipping your steps, you placed most of the pressure on your left foot than your right. That's when I realized something was wrong." Kuroko articulated.

Honestly, Izanami felt the chills after listening to him. Kuroko's inhumanly perception and observation... I-Is he really a high schooler?

"Kuroko-kun, you should really become a detective. You might even be able to become the 'second' Sherlock Holmes. I mean it!" She wouldn't be surprise to see Kuroko on a headline ten years later talking about how he solves a cold case– that is, if Kuroko really becomes a detective. Which the manager ardently recommended him to be.

"You flattered me, Izanami-san. I was only stating what I saw."

Both of them would have continued their banter, if not for another loud yell from a certain redhead who has almost forgotten by them. "–uck! My scalp is going to bleed! I get it, I get it! I take back what I said earlier, alright!?"

Finally, Izanami let go of her death grip. Kagami of course, grunted and groaned in pain. Were his hair still attach to his scalp?

"Good." She said. Seemingly satisfied after releasing all her pent-up stress and the subjugated form of Kagami Taiga.

As time slowly passed by, Izanami subconsciously snuggled in closer to Kagami as she buried her face at the crook of his neck. Breathing in his scent, "Taiga, something like this has happened before. Didn't it?" She muttered softly, as her eyelids faltered. Threatening to close.

Kagami didn't really mind that action of hers. Although they fight and were always at odds ever since they met, they don't dislike or hate each other. However, they weren't 'BFF' either. Their friendship was just like... That's right, just like 'Tom and Jerry'. You see them fight most of the time, but they never really fight with the intention of harming or until one of them is dead. Complicating, isn't it?

"Huh? You mean that time when you fell and scrapped your knees?"

"Hn..."

Kagami began to trail his mind back to the incident the girl had mentioned. Indeed. Something similar like this has happened before. It happened when they were in fourth grade and were still living in the states back then. For some reason, Izanami sprinted down the grassland like some mad woman. The result? It was obvious. She tripped herself and kissed the earth. Quite pathetically, he'd say. The redhead has already warned her though, but she didn't heed his advice and got what she deserved. In the end, Kagami was made to piggyback her all the way home. Just like now.

The reason why this memory were still living vividly in his mind was because; Izanami didn't shed a single tear.

Despite the blood and pain, she held it all in and didn't whined like what little kids does in their age that time. That was what surprised him. Speaking of tears, I've never seen her cry before. Have I? Kagami thought, as he searched through his memories for a certain gray head sobbing/wailing like a mess. But, nope. There aren't any.

"At that time, you were so heavy that I had even thought of giving up and just left you behind–"

Oh, shit.

Kagami cringed after realizing he has gabbled out something unnecessary. He's going to die a terrible death for sure.

The redhead instinctively shut his eyes as he waited for the impending wrath that was going to bestow upon him. However, he waited and waited. Nothing came.

"Kagami-kun, it seems like she has fallen asleep."

"What?" Kagami reopened his eyes as he swiveled his head. What he saw was a pile of gray hairs, snoring and drooling slightly through her parted lips.

If the situation allow it, Kagami would have done a celebratory jump for having escaped her wrath miraculously. But he didn't want to stir the girl up, lest she should find out about what happened from Kuroko. So, he let out a rather long and relief sigh instead.

"Good grief." Kagami mumbled as he shook his head. Really. What should he do about her?

A/N: ... I hope this chapter is not boring to you. :x Well, I was planning to update this fic bi-weekly. But I don't think I can always stick to it. Seeing how life has become so much busier for me. /sigh
Anyhow, I'll still try my best to update as frequent as I could! The more reviews you fed me, the faster the update! So, don't hold back on expressing your opinions! Suggestion are welcome, too. xD

Q&A Corner~
Cemre: Hey there :) Really!? No. I didn't know about it until you pointed it out. I only know her name means 'Female who invites'. After you had mentioned it, I checked it out online and, I didn't know there is such a history behind its name... O_O Anyways, thanks for sharing such info! (Even though I name her myself, I didn't know about its origin at all until now... /ashamed)

Savage Kill: Your questions made me deeply reflect on my skills as a writer. I'm sorry that I had written out my plot so poorly and making you (or some people) confused. So, I'll answer those questions that I can with my utmost effort without spoiling the story :)
1) Alex know about them. Since she's her guardian. You can say that Kan-san and Alex are the only ones in this plot whom know at least one or two secrets about Izanami. That no one else knows about.
2) I'm glad to hear that you find it funny about the 'Koala' part. XD But I'm not going to have her call him that everytime they meet. Midorima will kill her if that's the case. Lol
3) And yes. 'Paper can't wrap up a fire' is a metaphor used for what's going to happen in the later part of the story.
4) Just like what I've said at the first one, Kan-san know about her past. About how much he knows, that still depends. (P.S. I don't usually plan out the whole plot and details beforehand when I wrote a story. Unlike other writers, I plan them as I wrote. So, I'm also a reader too in this fanfic. Lol)

I hope these explained your doubts and also your last two questions. ^^
