Chapter 33:
Disclaimer: I own nothing related to the WWE, TNA, HWA or CZW. I only own the OCs.
A/N: just wanted to drop a quick note saying that I finished Frozen Hearts and now hopefully this story is back to having my full attention. I'm sorry for the lack of updates for this story. Believe it or not I think that this one will be wrapped up in about 5 or so chapters. So sad :-(
Hope I haven't lost you guys and that you are still enjoying this story as much as you were in the beginning. 3
"Easy kid," Mark said worriedly as he blocked punch after punch his rookie threw at him. She was grunting and growling with each hit she landed on the pads covering his hands.
Mark had flown out to Orlando shortly after getting a frantic call from Steph about Sami's condition and the mental state of his rookie. After spending the night before and most of the morning in the hospital, Mark had dragged Allie, practically kicking and screaming out of the hospital to let off some steam.
They were currently at the performance center, sparring in the ring once Mark had been able to get her into a pair of gloves. He was beginning to feel that this may not have been the best idea after being unable to get her to relax and focus on her hits. The next one that flew at him, he quickly sidestepped, causing her to trip and face plant in the ring.
Leaning over her, he watched as she heaved a few calming breaths before rolling onto her back and staring up at the lights above her. Mark watched as the anger left her eyes and worry and sadness filtered in. She threw an arm over her eyes as deep sobs caused her body to tremor.
Mark sighed and laid down next to her, the side of his arm pressing against hers to let her know he was there for her. He stared up at the ceiling as he listened to her heartbreaking sobs and struggled to control his own emotions.
Sami was a good kid. He worked hard to get to the WWE pursuing a lifelong dream, only to be attacked and potentially taken out of action. He was still unconscious and doctors said they wouldn't know the extent of his condition until he woke up. The waiting game was what was taking its toll on everyone.
None of the kids had slept the entire time at the hospital and the only thing they were willing to consume was caffeine to help them stay awake. Allie seemed to be taking it the hardest and Mark knew that was because, not only was Sami a little brother to her, but she also felt responsible. She blamed herself for Cena's attack on Sami and even though they had no proof, there wasn't a doubt in anyone's mind that the attack had come from him.
Mark felt Allie shift and turned to see that her breathing had evened out and she slowly lowered her arm. Taking a couple more heaving breaths, she turned to look at Mark with sad, red, blotchy eyes.
"I could kill him for this," Allie rasped out, her voice shaky and hoarse from crying. "Why can't he just leave everyone I care about alone?"
"Because he knows how to get to you," Mark answered in a low drawl. "He knows that if he wants to hurt you or get your attention for whatever sick game he's playing, that he needs to come after what you love."
"If he's so insistent on playing this fucked up game with me, then he should just come after me," Allie growled, the anger beginning to set in again. "This has to stop, Mark."
"And you need to stop it," Mark answered with a sigh, running a hand down his face.
Allie sat up suddenly and looked down at him in confusion. "You want me to go after him?"
Mark sat up at look down at his rookie. She was no kid anymore and as much as he hated to admit it, he couldn't fight all the battles for her anymore. He needed to let her soar and take the control over her life back. "I want you to feel in control of your life again. I've done everything I can to protect you. So has Glenn. Hell, even that motley trio of hounds you've got have done all they can to keep you safe. Especially, Good."
"But, you've gotta take your life back," Mark said, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her in tightly. "You will always be my rookie, but I think this is a fight you need to handle on your own. I think it's time to unleash your fury."
Allie gazed at him for a moment, unsure of what to say. "You know how bad that can get," she said in a harsh whisper.
"I think it's past the point of holding back," Mark argued back. "Look what happened to Sami. All the attacks on you and Jon. It won't stop, Al. Not until you make it stop."
"I promised Jon I wouldn't do anything stupid," Allie answered hesitantly, knowing he was right, but hating the idea of breaking her promise to Jon.
"Then talk with him," Mark almost pleaded with her. "Make him understand."
"I already understand," a voice said from outside the ring. They both looked over to see Jon standing there with his arms folded and an unreadable expression on his face. "I needed some air. I wasn't sure where you two went, but figured this was a good place to start."
"Jon-" Allie started trying to explain their conversation.
"Babe," Jon said cutting her off. "I know." He climbed into the ring and sat himself down in front of both of them. He kept his eyes lowered as he ran his fingers over the mat. "I've been doing what I can to protect you and all I've wanted was to fight this battle for you, but Mark's right. This started with you and you have to be the one to finish it."
"I- I don't think either of you knows what you're asking of me," Allie said hesitantly as she began to pull off her gloves. "I haven't been that woman in years. My return segment was just a faint glimpse of what I'm capable of."
"You can do it," Jon assured her, "and we'll all be there to support you every step of the way."
Before Allie could respond, Jon's phone sounded from his pocket and he took it out quickly. "It's Colby. Sami's showing signs that he might be coming out of it. We need to go."
With that, the three quickly gathered everything they had and rushed out the door of the performance center. They arrived at the hospital a short time later and made a beeline for Sami's room. As they approached the room they saw Steph, Joe and Colby all standing outside talking quietly until Joe noticed them walking towards them.
"Hey," he said making the other two turn their attention towards Mark, Allie and Jon. "He keeps going in and out. The doctor is in there now with him."
"Has he said anything?" Allie asked as they stepped up next to them.
"No," Steph answered shaking her head. "He opens his eyes for a few seconds before going out again."
"They said that he showing good signs though," Colby spoke up wrapping an arm around Allie's shoulders and pulling her into a side hug.
The door to Sami's room opened and the doctor stepped out with a small smile. "He's awake," he said to the group. "He's tired and beat up and he definitely has a concussion, but there doesn't seem to be any life threatening injuries. We're gonna run some tests, but I think he's gonna be ok."
The entire group gave off a sigh of relief and Allie felt her throat tighten as she swallowed back a sob of happiness. "Came we see him?" She asked, getting a nod from the doctor before he walked down the hall to make some calls about Sami's testing.
Allie was the first to move to the door, followed by Jon. Walking in they were met with the sleepy and battered face of Sami who did his best to give them all a small smile.
"Hey, jerk face," Allie whispered as she slowly approached him.
"Hey, wench," his voice rasped lowly at her. "Did I win the fight?"
Allie couldn't help the small laugh that escaped before she leaned over him and place a light kiss to his forehead. "You should see the other guy."
"That's what I thought," Sami chuckled, before wincing in pain. Allie's face immediately dropped and a feeling a regret came over her. "Don't. Don't you dare blame yourself for this?"
"How can I not?" She whispered to him. "If it wasn't for me-"
"If it wasn't for you I may not be in the WWE right now," Sami cut her off. "None of this is your fault."
"Did you see him?" Allie asked, feeling her heart drop when Sami shook his head slightly.
"No," he said motioning to the cup of water on his tray. "He got me from behind."
Allie nodded, lifting the cup up to Sami's lips and helping him take a sip. "I'm gonna get him Sami. I promise I'm gonna make this right."
"I know you will," Sami smiled as he sat back and glanced around at everyone else. "All this for little ol' me?"
"I just came to poke you while you were unconscious," Jon smirked, moving closer and placing a hand on Sami's head and giving his hair a brotherly kiss.
"Don't get all weepy on me, Good," Sami snickered. "It doesn't fit you."
"Enjoy it while it lasts, asshole," Jon said giving Sami a playful tap on his cheek.
The door to the room suddenly opened and Allie's eyes went from surprise to glaring as she took in the person standing just inside the door. "What the hell are you doing here, Cricks?"
The woman stood glancing nervously back and forth between Sami and Allie before making a small move forward. "I came to see Sami," she murmured.
"Al, it's fine," Sami said from beside her, making Allie look down at his sheepish smile.
"Are you shitting me right now?" Allie asked with wide eyes, looking between the two. "Did you forget about our Jessicka Havoc rule?"
"I never agreed to that rule," Sami chuckled, nudging Allie and motioning for Jessica to move towards him. Allie watched in disbelief as Jessica leaned forward and gave Sami a small kiss to his lips.
"How long has this been going on?" Allie asked with a huff.
"You don't wanna know," Sami smirked at her.
"Oh for the love of-," Allie cut herself off and took a deep breath before speaking again. "You could've told me."
"There was never really a good time," Sami responded as Jessica sat on the edge of Sami's bed with his arm wrapped around her waist.
"You are so lucky you're laid up right now or is kick your ass," Allie grumbled at him, making him chuckle. "So I guess it's serious then?"
"As serious as you and Jon," Sami nodded, looking at Jessica with a look of absolute love and Allie couldn't help but melt seeing her little brother so in love and the feelings returned.
"You still should've told me," Allie huffed, making everyone laugh.
"So does that mean you're willing to call a truce?" Sami asked looking between the two most important women in his life.
Allie hummed for a moment as she and Jessica took each other in. Allie sighed, then finally nodded holding her hand out to Jessica. "Welcome to the family."
Cena stood in ring that Monday night in Raw, spouting off about his intentions during the unification match that had been announced between himself and Randy Orton. He went on and on about how no one would get in his way of claiming what was rightfully his and he dared anyone to try.
Cena was abruptly cut off when the lights went out in the arena and single spotlight lit up to illuminate him. He spun around nervously as phantom giggles of children sounded around the arena.
John jumped when the giggles stopped and three more spotlights came on illuminating three little blonde haired girls dressed in white lace dresses. The first, was skipping back and forth slowly across the stage at the top of the ramp. The second, skipped at the same speed up and down the ramp and the third matched their pace around the ring.
Their long blonde hair hung down framing their faces making it impossible to see them. The arena filled with an eery air and everyone in the arena jumped when thunder sounded and the girls all stopped dead in their tracks. The first girl was center on the stage, the second in the middle of the ramp and the third at the bottom of the ramp.
An evil female cackle sounded around the arena just as thunder rolled through the arena again. The spotlights blinked out for a moment blackening out the arena once again. "She's here," came the sing song voices of children. When the spotlights came back on all three girls stood in the same spots, but now all faced Cena's direction.
"You think I've forgotten?" A eery female voice sounded. John looked around before bringing his attention back to the three girls and chills ran up everyone's spine as they all screamed at the top of their lungs.
The arena went dark except for the single spotlight on John as he spun around wildly looking for a sign from anyone else.
"You think you can play mind games with me, Cena?" Allie spoke maliciously as she appeared in shadows on the screen. The arena cheered at the sight of her and John froze in place, dropping the mic in his hand. "Do you know who I am?!" Her tone becoming more and more dark. "I was mentored by the demons of professional wrestling. Your attempts are child's play in comparison to what I can and will do to you."
Thunder rolled and lights flashed as a dark figure suddenly appeared in the ring and attacked Cena. When the dim lights steadied again, Allie stood holding John Cena by his throat with a wicked smile and a steel chair laying at her feet.
Her black and purple hair was braided in several rows but stopped where's the rest was pulled into a high ponytail. She was dressed head to toe in black, wearing black knee high combat boots, black fishnets and black cut off jean shorts. Her upper body was wrapped in a black corset with rhinestone straps and her makeup was dark and gothic.
"You think this is bad? You haven't seen anything yet!" She roared at him after raising a mic to her lips. "I'm coming for you, Cena. And you can bet your ass I'm bringing Hell's fury with me."
The crowd roared as Allie pushed Cena to the mat, watching him choke and gasp for air while clutching at his throat. Stepping up on his chest with a heeled boot, she put her weight on him to hold him down as she dropped the mic and raised the chair over her head.
Cena's eyes flashed with fear as he looked up at her and began waving his hands frantically in a pleading manner. An evil smile crossed Allie's face as she glared down at him.
"Who loves you baby?" Allie laughed maniacally, before bringing the chair down across Cena's head with a loud crack and an even louder cackle.
A/N: Soooo... Allie's kinda nuts. Just kinda take what you know about her so far and cross it with Harley Quinn and there you go. Best comparison I could come up with. What do you guys think?
