Thank you all for your lovely reviews. You once again saved my evening from being a tragedy. Mwah :*
At The End of The Day
Kurt leans against the sink, trying to even out his breath. He's been crying in the restroom for a while, but now he's taking a break in favor of calling Blaine. His arm feels weak- his entire self feels weak- when he lifts the phone to his ear.
"Hello?" on the other side of the line, Blaine sounds exhausted.
"Hey," Kurt sniffs, trying not to sound too miserable.
"Is everything alright? You sound a little off," he says, his voice turning less tired and more worried.
"Right back at ya, babe," Kurt says, and feels a disgusting drop of snot rolling to the edge of his nostril. He goes to search for toilet paper in the stalls.
"My day has been very long and stupid. You?" he asks.
"Ugh, same here. Long, stupid and I want to leave," he whines.
"Let's leave, then."
"Hmm?" Kurt finds a piece of toilet paper in one of the stalls and blows his nose loudly.
"Let's just leave work. We both had a shitty day. Let's just go home, eat dinner, and go to sleep."
He throws the toilet paper in the toilet and flushes; the noise it makes has him cringing, but the relief of not having anything in his nostrils is phenomenal. He tries to think of any reason why he shouldn't leave, and can't come up with a single one.
"You have great ideas, sir. Who's picking up Thai?"
