Ok time for the next question! I gots two this time! (and for those of you who don't care, skip on down!
from VioletTiger who asked about Raphael, Leo and Donnie: about why they reacted the way they did to what they do.1.e Raphs assassinhood, Leo's pity party called 1000 chapters of Unbreakable and Donnie's reaction to killing Hayate and his age
Raph pretty much just loves kicking ass, he doesn't kill people. But he's already decided he would if anyone were to hurt his brothers . And he's a bounty hunter, not a assasin
Leo is the oldest and was trained as a samurai, but he was aslo GREATLY sheltered. The fact he killed Kojima like a ninja didn't help. But after Unbreakable, he decided that this is just going to have to be a part of his life he has to deal with.
Donnie was a prisoner for many dya,s he was 12 and he killed the one person he trusted as much asa his family. He was just a kid, he still is but I hope that answers yoru question.
Also Don just turned 14.
Lyhan12 who asked about Kaze, she watned to know how long Leo's had Kaze and how he wasn't weak yet (bringing up a very good point about how horses get weaker the longer they are ridden in battle). And she watned to know how dirty Horyu City was in comparison to New York.
Thank you for your question, first of all Leo's only had Kaze for about 3 years, and he's only taken him into battle a few times. Not only that, but he's a bit of horse expert so he knows how to keep his buddy healthy
(also THANK you for saying my grammar's getting better! I've been working hard on that!)
Horyu City is diryt, don't get me wrong, but its NOTHING compared to NYC. There's not nearly the amount of pollution. I should mention that, when Kaede first brought Raph and Donnie to this city that they lived in her own house at first and Donnie did have a hard time breathing Thank you for your questions! I enjoy these more then I should, so keep them coming! Also enjoy!
That's why she decided ot move to live in her dojo in a much cleaner part of the city
It lies in truth

"Leonardo saw him again."
Donnie didn't know Dorinbo for long, but it wasn't' hard to tell when he was concerned or tired. He could have blamed it on the lateness of the day. But this was a new weariness. Donnie could sometimes hear this 'exhaustion' in Leo's voice when he was done arguing with Raph or when Usagi ran into bandits on their patrol.
Something was concerning him.
"How far away was he this time?" his mother. The only person Dorinbo talked to in such a way. The only reason Donnie knew about it was because he was the only one of his brothers still awake. Raph's' arm was draped over him and, for some reason; Mikey had chosen that night to cling to his other side. All he did was have another coughing spell, but Mikey had never been witness to that though, so he could get over it.
"He was close enough Leonardo could see he was looking right at him. He probably would of gone after him had not Daiki and Usagi ben with him."
"Did you talk to Leonardo about it?"
"He wants to go after him himself. He blames himself for his presence to begin with."
"That sounds like him. I worry that he's going to do something ridicules"
"no, I don't' believe he would. I told him his problem is the village's problem."
"You're a good leader Dorinbo, and an even better father."
"If I was a good father then I would be able to keep him from feeling so responsible for the world around him."
"It's the way he is, I used to blame myself every time Donatello succumbed to his lungs. But these are natures that we can only help them overcome."
Don could just hear small sigh, so like the one he heard ever so lightly. The sound of shuffling, he could just imagine his mother wrapping her arms round him. It hadn't been a secret for a while now how they felt about each other. And though Donnie had to suffer the horrible nightmare that followed, he had learned to accept their relationship.
He would accept that he was getting a stepfather.
"I promise to return with Raphael as soon as I can. Perhaps things will get better in my absence."
"I find that, when you're not around, there is an ache in my chest that will not go away."
"You're a poetic fool you know that?"
"I've been told that before, but only by one other woman. "
Donnie nuzzled his face back into his Raph's shoulder, his arm wrapping tighter around Mikey before he glanced up over Raph's misshapen shell. He could just see Usagi lying flat on his stomach arms curled up under his head and hears falling around his head in an almost innocent manner. Except Donnie had seen Usagi's' skills enough times to known he was anything but.
But just past Usagi, Leo sat against the wall, looking at the screen door where the conversation came from. Dark blue eyes turned over to them, Don's knew his eyes were half lidded enough that he knew he appeared asleep. He could just hear the floorboards creak under his feet. Moving close to his location, maybe he was found out-
He heard knees crouch on the ground. He felt something run over Mikey's shell, just over his hand. He opened ever slightly in time to see Leonardo gently kiss Mikey on his scalp. His brother's eyes closing ever so lightly as Leo pressed his forehead against Mikey's shell. Whispering to him about ever so lightly, though Donnie couldn't hear him.
He felt a hand run over his scalp very gently before resting on his neck.
Curiosity drove him to open his eyes, meeting dark blue ones who blinked in surprise. Donnie almost thought that he might get reprimanded for still being awake, but instead Leo's lips curled up ever so lightly into a gentle smile. He leaned down ever so lightly, pressing the same rare kiss to Don's forehead as he had seen him do for Mikey. Though was never short of loving to any of his little brothers, he never showed physical acts such as kissing. A small whisper escaping into a breath. Donnie wasn't even sure he had heard it
"Watashi wa itsumo anata, watashi no shin'ainaru kyōdai o hogo chikau. Anatagata zen'in"
Spirits, Leo sounded weird. And judging by the way Leos' fingers were massaging his neck, he had some thought of sending him to sleep. Donnie almost pulled free of Raphie had he not thought Raphie would just pull him into an even tighter hug or wake up Mikey. He instead whispered, "Aniki-"
"Ssssshhh, sweet Otouto. Go back to sleep alright?"
"No." He didn't want to; he wanted to make sure his Aniki was alright. Btu already the sleep demon he was so desperate to avoid was already crawling back into his mind. The fingers finally ceased their hypnotizing assault. Donnie was only able to open his bleary eyes long enough to see Leos form returning to the corner of the room; Probably to return to his post and watch over them in their sleep. His whispers following him into sleep
"Go to sleep Otouto."

A few faint coughs escaped Don's lips, spirits his throat hurt. Judging by feeling of begin cocooned in blankets and the lingering dryness of his throat and the aroma of alcohol, someone had poured some herbs soaked alcohol down his throat. He remembered how Leatherhead had used that treatment for him before they had his medicine. But it had been so long….
HE drew in a slowly breath only to fly up into sitting position to cough into his palms-
A clawed hand touched his shoulder, maybe it was because he had been so preoccupied with coughing that his skin almost jumped off his muscles and he was sent flying in the opposite side of the bed, his ram meeting wall and hindering his escape as he fell back into the bed and the covers. He could feel the mattress sink lightly, indicating another presence, his hands shooting up to cover his face
"Calm yourself little one," a hushed tone tilled the room, a bare palm pressing very gently over his fingers. Don tightened his fingers over his face (though a childish reaction) before he pulled his hands away, looking up to his intruder.
Even though he should have recognized him, it took longer than necessary for him to recognize his father; or rather this fathers Master Splinter. He was a bit shorter than his own father, but his father was definitely thinner than his father, and his father's beard had been tied off, rather than 'free flowing 'like these gray rats.
Even though Master Splinter obviously couldn't' hear the voices in his head, there was a kindness to his eyes that climbed understanding. At the old rat climbed off the mattress to reach for the yunomi that Don had missed. He could smell strong herbs coming from the cracked mug
"It will help you feel better. But as a 'Doctor' you should know that. "
He really did, it was pretty much the same prescription for each of his patients (to be fair, most of them just had a cold). Even though he knew the cracked yunomi would bring him comfort, he couldn't help but fold his hands into his lab, head bowing ever so lightly. A faint chuckle read his ears, "Leonardo told me you were quite the shy child. But it's alright, there's no need for such feelings. You are not a stranger here."
OH really? He wasn't a stranger? Someone from another world wasn't' a stranger? Also, he always wanted for the word 'Doctor 'to surpass his title of 'child.'
But it didn't make him rude. He bowed his head and took the yunomi into his fingers, and began to sip out of it, but his courage couldn't make him look anywhere but the swirling contents of the yunomi
"Leonardo will be back soon child, do not worry. He thought you might need some more herbs for your coughs."
That sounded like Leonardo that even sounded like his Aniki. Then again, maybe that was the point of them being from other dimensions (it obviously was). A hand touched his arm very gently, gripping his forearm as another hand pressed over his side, fingers probing the muscle underneath. Even though he didn't particularly like the idea of someone touching him, he fought his reaction to throw himself into the wall (he didn't feel like proving himself a fool again)
"Leonardo said you did not react very well to some of the fast food he introduced you to." his voice was still soft. Much softer than his own fathers (to be fair, his father had been a prison for years and it had been proven years ago that it wasn't good for your throat, "Come on child, some food for your stomach will help settle it."
Food? He wasn't even hungry. Not only that, but he was quite sure he wouldn't be allowed to eat alone anyway. But, judging by the way Splinter had taken a hold of his shoulder very gently; he didn't have much of a choice. Don followed him off the bed. His eyes catching his mask and scarf that he was quick to grab off the cloths.
Even though he had seen the room Leonardo called 'Living Room,' last night. It was easy to say that their 'living room' alone was bigger than his entire house , taller hen his old shop and could probably fit the "Tsukino House" and still have enough room to house the entirety of Murakami village .
He almost wondered how much they spent on it
But that wouldn't be polite.
Splinter lead him over to an alcove he had overlooked (he didn't know what else to call it). The walls were lined with strange storage boxes and a something he could only assume was a stove. There was a weird metal bowl build into the 'boxes' and something that reminded him of his design for a 'ice 'box' sitting on the side of the wall. There were also some weird elevated cushions with backs that he had seen in Leatherheads drawings-
With a light shove, Donnie sat down in one of the strange cushion, his hands going to his lap immediately, fingers tangling in the mixture of Leo's scarf and his mask. The old rat going over to the 'stove', He could hear the soft scraping of metal pans and the unmistakable smell of rice. His head turned back to the large room. Spirits, what was that giant thing sitting against the wall? He could only just seat it, but there was a long cushioned bench. HE didn't know a lot about this world but, judging by the indents in the cushions he had a feeling the residents of this home sat there a lot-
Maybe they had learned their lesson about trying to fee him their world food.
A faint tune caught his ear, a deep hum that drew his attention from his thoughts, a small tune filling the empty space between them. It was better than awkward silence (he sure dint' want to break his own track record with his own father). He picked up his mask and tied it behind his head. Even if he wasn't' home, he didn't want to go without it, scarf wrapped around his neck.
"Leonardo told me your own Leonardo gave you that scarf."
Oh Spirits, what happened to the wonderful silence he had been enjoying? And why didn't he notice the bowl sitting in front of him. Even though the bowl was strangely yellow with darker yellow spots, buck teeth and big lashy blue eyes the rice siting on its face was familiar. So he could handle the strange face smiling at him long enough to satisfy Splinters need for him to eat
OH Spirits, Splinter had said something to him didn't he? OH spirits he didn't have an excuse not to answer. Maybe he should have pretended to be mut4e, it would have been SO easy, and he had been mute for years!
So he had no freaking ensue to not answer.
Don nodded ever so lightly, his chin tucking over the scarf to free his mouth. He glanced down to the food again; he didn't particularly like eating in front of people-
Wait
Where did Master Splinter go?
He twisted his head around, looking around the excessively large room till he saw the old rat heading across the room. It looked like he was heading for that 'elevator' thing-
The doors slid open. Donnie wasn't sure how Splinter had 'heard' company before he did but the sound of laughter reached his ears-
The same turtles he had seen night he had arrived, in all their freaking naked glory. The alternate Raph was shoving overly muscular Mikey in the shoulder. Spirits, he was muscular, he could never imagine Mikey getting THAT size. Himself for that matter, did they have nothing else to do with their lives other than train to be ninja's ?! Spirits-
THE PIG SKINNED GIANT WAS BACK!
Don all but flew under the tall table, grabbing the tall cushioned chair, peeking out from between the back of the bars.
What the spirits was he doing here!?
Was he FRIENDS with his Alternate Brothers? HE didn't want to be near this guy! He smelled HORRIBLE-
Pig skinned guy had a girl friend?
He didn't see the 'girl' come in past the huge muscle bound brutes coming in. But she definitely had female parts. Her hair was piled on the back of her head into a red bun (a strange hair color that he hardly ever saw). But it was nothing compared to her lips. She was wearing the same kind of weird blue pants he was but-
Wait.
Don peered out of from behind his hiding spot.
Donnie had a specialty, back at Leatherheads and at Murakami Village. Because of his age and knowledge in the Arts, Pregnant women came to HIM when they were worried about their pregnancies; some even come to him or asked him to come to their home. Not only that but he did just spend a week going through 'medical' books
Was she-
Could she be-?
She suddenly looked over in his direction. Donnie pulled the chair more in front of him. Growing a freaking pig-skinned alien inside of her, he didn't want to talk to her-
"Looks like your buddy remembers you Casey"
Her voce was littered with giggles; well you're a mean lady. Donnie would have said that out loud, but even being a dimension away from his mother, she still feared her almost spiritual and worldly wrath of her-
"I don't get his problem!" oh spirits not that horrible voice, who could even understand what he saying, "All I freaking did was save his life."
Donnie fought the growl in his throat. But the sound of laughter made him scoot back under the table.
Tsukino Hideaki Dorinbo Donatello
Hiding under a table in another universe
Why did he even go into that freaking cave?
Judging by the sound coming in their general direction, they were moving away. Alteast that was good. Donnie peered out again before glancing in the complete opposite direction. Maybe he could sneak back to his room before anyone saw him. He'd leave the rice here; maybe someone else could eat it. HE glanced back to the cheery laughing group. They wouldn't notice his absence.
HE slowly crawled out to the other side of the table. Back towards the shadows and to his feet, he glanced back in time to his 'Alternate' rubbing his chest very lightly. But that was something he could ignore for now-
There was a swift yank on his mask, the cloth tightening around to his eyes to an uncomfortable position, His hands shooting up to free himself with an aggravated yelp, "HEY!" Don twisted his head back, eyes falling on the perpetrator. Namely a blue masked naked kame with a smile on his face.
"Where you going Halfshell?"
Donnie wasn't sure what made him react the way he did, he was even less sure on when Leonardo had returned. But For some reason, he found himself immediately wrapping his arms around his' stomach as tightly as he could (though it did free his mask of Leonardo's yanking), face burring into his bare chest (which he tried not to think about)
"Whoa hey!" The older kame laughed a bit, a hand resting on his scalp, "What's up? What's wrong?"
"N-nothing." Donnie was probably over reacting, he really wasn't this huggy with his brothers back home. But the truth was, he was alone he was separated.
This worlds Leonardo was the only thing that made him feel safe.
He made him believe he could get home.
Don finally drew away, warmth going to his skin as he scratched his face in a meager attempt to free himself of his own embarrassment. If only Leonardo would stop patting him on the head like a freaking tokage.
"I saw Master Splinter made you some food."
"Y-Yeah, b-but then those guys showed up-"
""They won't hurt you Halfshell."
"I know," of course he knew that. And of course he knew his face was blushing heavily. Of course he looked like a stupid child, he did just hide under a table, and before freaking THAT he had hid behind his hands
Spirits why was anyone taking him seriously?
It's probably why Leonardo had decided to guide him back over to the tall table by the shoulders, even when he made him sit back down in front of the weird yellow bowl
"The SpongeBob Squarepants plate? Mikey's' NOT going to be happy." a chuckle going from Leonardo's lips. Donnie probably would have kicked him till he left if he had not gotten his own bowl. Donnie was about to start eating when he glanced back to where the 'merry band was standing'. He looked back to Leonardo, "Did you go get herbs you got please?"
Leonardo gave him a strange look, before reaching into side belt and drawing out a small leather pouch and setting it on the table. Don nodded lightly, "Arigato," before opening the drawn bag. His hand digging in, his fingers brushing against achingly familiar herbs he knew from his home
"What are you looking for?"
"Do you have Kampo herbs in here?"
"Yeah why?"
"You might want to give some to your Donatello, he's having a little breathing trouble."
"HE is?" Leonardo's head turned in the other direction to look in the direction of his brothers," You can tell?"
"I'm an I-sha, I dealt a lot with breathing troubles over the years, and I also have firsthand experience in that area of expertise." Don smiled lightly, "It should help, and it sounds like he had a pretty nasty one."
"He didn't tell me." Leonardo's face frowned, as though a thought occurred to him. Before Don could scoop the rice into his mouth, a familiar green hand fell on his hand, drawing his attention back to the blue masked turtle," This might be a long shot, but can you maybe tell how long ago he had his asthma attack?"
What did he think Donnie was? A miracle worker? Then again, he was a dam good I-sha (or alteast a decent one). He turned in his seat to look over at the group again. His ears catching in to his lungs as he closed his eyes. Years of working alongside the best I-sha in Horyu City taking their hold on his mind, "Earlier this morning,"
"How early?"
"Probably only a little bit after midnight."
"Thanks Halfshell. " Though his face said otherwise, before Donnie could ask him what was wrong, his hand reached out and rubbed his scalp ever so lightly before standing up from the table.
Donnie wasn't sure what was going on, but he turned to watch Leonardo approach the group. Leonardo tapped Older Don on the shoulder, though his older self-gave Leonardo a warm smile, it was soon to slide off his face. But he quickly turned his head back to the rice bowl, deciding he was, in fact, very hungry. This wasn't' any of his business anyway-
"You had an asthma attack when you were at the junkyard and you didn't tell me?!"
"Leo what are you talking about-"
"I know you had one! You were with him Raph! Why didn't either of you tell me?!"
"He was FINE Leo, we both had inhalers on us-"
"But you should have told me! I trust you to tell me these things. That's why you go with him-"
Don's head ducked down almost entirely into his scarf, hands up on his scalp and food immediately pushed away.
What had he done?
Curiosity told him to turn around and see what was going on, but pure instinct alone kept his head down. He had seen his Leo and Raph arguing enough times in his own home to know what a bad argument was about to happen. Often the warning signs included Mikey appearing at his side and clinging to him. It would be up to him to make sure that Mikey got distracted enough to forget what was going on. HE could remember the last time, when he had been in the other room during their stupid spats. Usagi had to come in and practically carry him out of the room.
Spirits this was his entire fault.
Donnie squeezed his eyes shut, drawing in a quickly calming breaths. An Irritation shot up his throat. His hands flew to his mouth before the first cough exploded from his lisp. Several other bursting afterwards, the argument al but drowned from his hacking form-
He was so into trying not to break his neck while coughing and his eyes squeezed shut to keep from popping out of his head; he almost jumped out of his skin as his cushioned seat was yanked back, a familiar mask pressed around his mouth and cold breath going into his lungs. His flaming airway slowly subsided, sending cooling relief down his throat.
"Are you alright Halfshell!?"Came the whisper of Leonardo, it was hard to believe he had gone from arguing to sounding so concerned in such a short amount of time. But Donnie nodded anyway, he felt a hand go over his neck and pressed his head against a bare shoulder, arms going under him, "He's still not used to our air yet." he must of been explaining that to the others. They didn't follow him did they? That was embarrassing, considering how it must be true-
Donnie felt himself being lowered onto a strange futon, (obviously not Leonardo's' bed) it felt like it was made up of cushions like his seat had been; even the back was covered in cushions, His head resting on something like a cushioned sidebar and a thick blanket being drawn over him. He opened his eyes in time to see Leonardo knee right by his 'seat' the large strange box was just behind him. The others were still in the kitchen, though they were talking amongst themselves with hushed tones that were obviously about him.
"Are you alright Halfshell?"
Donnie nodded, looking back to the older turtle. The furrow upon his brow smoothing out, though Donnie could see wrinkly lines across his forehead that suggested he frowned quite a bit-
Leonardo leaned down to the other end of the cushion out of his sight for a few seconds before he drew back a pillow. Despite the excessive mothering, Donnie could only glare at him weakly before lifting his head and allowing him to slide it under it. Ok, so it was really soft-And now the freaking blanket. The warm, thick blanket that seemed to pop out of nowhere like magic.
But he did have manners, "Arigato Leonardo."
"You're welcome Halfshell." a smile grew across his face ever so softly. Alteast he had forgotten about that argument with Raphael for now. Even if Donnie was stuck being 'nested- A familiar tickle rose back through his throat, Don pulled the mask away from his face to cough into his shoulder, though not nearly as hard as he had been. And it only made him ache a little bit. (If he was to find a bright side) He lowered his head back onto the pillow, pressing the mask back over his mouth. Despite how stupid it made him look, it really did help his breathing
"I've been meaning to ask," Leonardo's hands retuned over the quilted material, as though trying to ensure there weren't any 'cold' spots in the blanket he should be aware of, "Do you have any sort of medicine back home? One that helps with yoru coughing?"
He nodded softly, course he did. He wouldn't be alive otherwise. Donnie could feel something similar to phlegm rise to the back of his throat, but luckily he didn't cough this time
"Will you tell me what it is? Please?"
Did he have a choice? Donnie nodded again, his eyes falling on a piece of paper on the table. It took a bit, but he was able to tell Leonardo every ingredient that made up his medicine. But he could still see the pity in the older kame's eyes. Not because of his lungs (Donnie knew what that kind of pity looked like) but it was a sort of understanding that existed, one that had occurred in that moment before any of the others ones. If he had not been sitting with someone he generally trusted, he might have sent himself into a state of grief or madness that he had sworn never to fall too again.
The truth that Donnie could be here for a while
