Oh my, I am truly awful. I can't believe I forgot about all of this and left such a cliffhanger. I said I'd never do it but I did. I'm so sorry about it. I started college and just haven't had much time to write since. Anyways, I am updating this story and revising it. Hope it makes things a little easier to understand. Merlin ran to find Arthur an innocent man's life was on the line and I could not let Mordred die because of Leon's doing. Merlin turned the corner to finally see his blonde haired king.
"Arthur!" Merlin yelled. "Arthur would you please slow down for fucks sake!" Arthur stopped at the words his manservant had spoken. He waited for him to catch up and calm down before he questioned him.
"Dear lord Merlin, what was so important that you have to run so hard you lost your breath, or better yet cuss at your king? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine Arthur, I need to talk to you about Mordred. Please, give me ten minutes of your time in your chambers."
"Sure, whatever you need Merlin." The two walked towards Arthurs chambers and ran into Leon on the way there. Leon purposely ran into me as hard as he could. I let out a whimper of pain since he was on a fresh bruise.
"Oh I'm so sorry Merlin, are you okay?"
"He's fine, sorry Leon. We are in a rush right now." Arthur said and we continued to walk. "Nice to see you again Leon!" He waved him off. Merlin was terrified, he knew what would happen if he knew that Merlin was about to tell Arthur their secret. However, it was the only way to save Mordred and so he had to make this choice. Once the two reached Arthurs chambers Merlin began to speak but only after he knew there was no one around.
"It wasn't Mordred." Merlin almost whispered.
"It's not Mordred?" I sighed, and sat down on Arthur's bed. "Then who?" Arthur held, my shoulders gently trying to get an answer out of me. "You can tell me Merlin. I promise nothing will happen to you."
"Leon," I whimpered. "It was Leon, he's brutal. He's raped me Arthur."
"Leon, of all people. Wow. Leon." Arthur was shocked but he continued to hold Merlin in his embrace for a few moments. He got up and went to the doors not long after. Arthur called out for a few guards and left Merlin alone in the room. Merlin could hear some of the talking. He heard something along the lines of if Merlin needs anything get another servant to do so for him and no one was to enter the room until the king returned.
