(Just in case you didn't notice, this is the second drabble being posted today, make sure to check the previous one as well!)
Based on the incredible song by Matt Fishel (who I love so damn much), "Finally".
Let's just pretend this song came out around the time that Klaine were newly-boyfriends. Because it's a really good song and you should check it out.
Finally
Meeting Mr. Right, the man of my dreams.
Blaine takes hold of Kurt's hand, looking into his eyes, and the rest of the world disappears. He sinks into the sea of Blaine's golden gaze, breath knocked out of his lungs.
The one who shows me true love, or at least it seems.
Another dozen of red roses, another kiss that lasts for an eternity, another encouraging smile with those crinkles around his eyes. Kurt basks in the love that radiates from Blaine, seeping under his skin and into his soul.
With brown cocoa skin, and curly black hair.
Kurt loves it when Blaine drives him to their dates, because then he gets the most perfect excuse to just sit and do nothing other than admire his boyfriend's beauty; the way his entire body perks up when he speaks excitedly about something, the perfectly gelled curl lying on his forehead, the smooth, tan skin of his arm that Kurt can't stop running his fingers over, making goosebumps rise all over it.
Just the way he looks at me, that gentle, lovin' stare.
Even more than the wonderful color of Blaine's eyes, Kurt loves the meaning in his gaze. The way he conveys love and devotion as more than abstract concepts, as the clear and obvious truth- it's magic to Kurt.
Finally, you come along!
Kurt had wished and wished for a boy just like Blaine; someone to show him the way and care- for him and of him when he needs it most. He never imagined his fantasy would come true, never thought it could. But with every shy glace at Blaine's bright smile he knows it did.
The way I feel about you- it just can't be wrong, no!
With Blaine, Kurt learns that love is more than he's ever given it credit to be. It's more than a word thrown at him hard enough to bruise, more than a man with a sign on the street or a flag raised with a rebellious arm. It burns in his bones and swims in his veins, it's enchanting and terrifying and amazing. He lies in bed at night and lets himself feel it wash over him.
If you only knew, the way I feel about you…
Kurt bites his lip before he says it, just to Blaine's picture at first. I love you. He blushes horribly when he says it to his own reflection in the mirror. Eventually, when he looks at Blaine, his perfect, gentle, caring, amazing Blaine, the words come out without a stutter.
I just can't describe it!
