Oh wow, I just realized. One of my favourite characters is due to make an appearance! Thanks for reviewing, Derpimelt1000, Ali6132, StarHeart Specials and the guest reviewer. So...two votes for Shannon to be on the Heroic Hamsters and two for the Villainous Vultures...well, this episode will show a little bit of Shannon using someone for her victory...
Before I went to bed that night, I stargazed a bit by the steps, as usual.

"Shannon?" I looked over at the familiar voice. Cameron was sitting beside me, looking shy and awkward.

"Cam?" I said. "You're talking to me again?"

"I'm sorry." he said. "It's just...you know. Things got a little..."

"Awkward?" I suggested. "I know. I wanted to keep hanging out with you, though. I never wanted our friendship to get weird like that."

Cameron suddenly smiled shyly. "That's what I wanted to talk to you about. When Mike got eliminated today, just as he and Zoey finally admitted it to each other, it hit me. I told you. I do like you. I do want to be more than friends, and if I don't act now, then you could be eliminated tomorrow and I won't have done anything..." He kissed me on the cheek, very quickly, and then stayed there, frozen.

I looked over at the boy I was crushing on. I returned the kiss, just as quickly. "Does this mean..we're, like, together now?" I whispered.

Cameron managed a shy smile again. "I...I guess. But-"

"We'll take it slow?" I suggested. "Just hand holding, maybe a kiss, and apart from that, usual friend stuff."

Cameron's smile became real and cheerful. "Yes." he said. "Wow, if I'd realized that this could be so easy...Thanks, Shannon."

I gave him a hug. "I'm just glad we can stop being awkward." I grinned, and then went back to my cabin. Finally, there was a bit more peace in the relationship department. Cameron and I were together, and Zoey and Mike were finally at a good space, even though Mike had left the island.

In the morning, though, Chris greeted us coming out of a zeppelin. As it turned out, our challenge was an aerial obstacle course.

"And here to demonstrate," Chris, "Put your hands together for Total Drama classic competitor..."

I wondered who it was. Who was into flying? Maybe Courtney? Or Tyler? I personally wanted to meet Sierra or Trent.

"...Heather!"

We all gasped as an Asian girl in a halter top and tiny shorts stepped out of the zeppelin, her eyes critically flickering over us.

Everyone knew who Heather was. Bossy, manipulative and ruthless, Heather was the competitor from hell. Don't get me wrong, I had a ton of respect for her, especially after she took down Alejandro at the end of the last season, but I knew perfectly well how cruel she was. At least, for one thing, her hair had fully grown back. After she had it accidentally shaved off in the first season, she was bald in the second season after she lost her wig, and then had hair extensions in a short ponytail in the third. Now, her dark hair was back to waist-length.

"Wow!" exclaimed Zoey. "You're the Heather?"

"Sorry," Heather said in her most superior tone, "I have this policy of not talking to losers."

Zoey looked a bit surprised at her coldness and answered, "Oh, I'm not a loser... you, know unless everyone else thinks I am."

"You're not." I told her. "Anyone who says something like that is worse than a loser, anyway. The only true loser here is Scott."

Scott shot a glare at me, but I grinned. At least he'd stopped hitting on me.

We watched Heather demonstrating the obstacle course, before Chris told us about the first part of the challenge. Well, half of us thought about dropping out of the competition, but none of us were ready to give up our chance at the million. First, we had to make our own flying machines.

Jo was up to something, I could tell. She put a hand on Cameron's shoulder and said "Don't worry, bubble boy. It may be every camper for him or herself, but I've got your back."

Excuse me, but why would Jo want to help Cam? When we were on the same team, she'd made it clear she thought Cameron and I were useless. But then, when I reflected, I got it. Jo wanted an alliance with Cameron because she thought he was easy to manipulate. Oh, and maybe she finally realized that he was an asset because of his brainpower.

Chris had us pick types of flying machines out of a hat. Jo got a hot air balloon, Lightning a helicopter, Zoey a plane, Cameron a rocket, Scott a...bird...and I ended up with...

"A jet pack?" I groaned. "Seriously? Where am I gonna find anything that will even WORK?"

As a matter of fact, Zoey and I went through the exact same thing. Neither of us thought we could find anything for our machines, but I actually found an engine and funnels that I fashioned into jets, a bit of material that I turned into strips, and attached them to a chair, just to make things more comfortable when I was using it. Then I took it for a test fly...and surprisingly, it worked!

But Cameron won the challenge. He was soon zooming around on his rocket, and won a smoke machine, which Jo snagged from him.

"Cam, why are you working with her?" I hissed. "You know she'll eventually ditch you."

"I've got it all under control." Cameron said, with a tiny smirk on his face. "Just watch."

As it was, we never got to the obstacle course. The zeppelin was flying pretty low when Chris and Chef were suddenly sent tumbling out of the plane and landed where the rest of us were waiting.

"One Gemmie for you, and one million for me!" I could faintly hear Heather yelling from the zeppelin. She was holding the million-dollar suitcase for the season.

Oh. Right. Heather lost the million last season to the volcano. It made sense that she'd steal it now.

Therefore, the challenge was changed. Several Gemmies were in that zeppelin, and Chris didn't care about our million, but he wasn't letting Heather get away with his awards.

"Don't try to stop me!" Heather yelled. "I've got gold statuettes and I am not afraid to use them!" She started throwing them, Chris running to catch them. The rest of us prepared to fly.

The only ammo we had were eggs from mutant fire-breathing goats (yeah, they're mammals, but apparently, mutating them made them breed like reptiles). But in my opinion, shooting down the zeppelin wasn't the best idea. The best idea was to get into the zeppelin, distract Heather and bring it down to land. I just needed someone to keep Heather busy while I landed it. I looked at all of the competitors...

"Hey, Lightning!" I called. "I've got a great plan if you want to use it – get into the zeppelin and get the milllion from Heather. Then bring down the zeppelin and you win. I'll help you...but only if you take me with you. Deal?"

The jock processed what I was saying for a moment. Then he grinned. "Well, if I win...sure." But he wasn't intelligent enough to realize that all he was was a distraction for Heather.

And he actually kept his word, crashing through the window as Heather ducked. He immediately saw the suitcase she was holding. "Yes! That cool mil is mine! All right, girl, hand it over!"

I immmediately seized the wheel and began driving the zeppelin to land as I heard Heather (fake) crying."Oh, I'm sorry! All I wanted was the money, but this has just gone too far! Here, just take it!" Immediately, I heard the sound of the suitcase smashing into Lightning's head, but I paid it no attention, still driving. We were about a metre away now.

"I was robbed!" Heather cried furiously. "I deserve that money!"

"You mean my money!" Lightning replied.

I landed and turned around calmly. "I think you mean my money. I just landed the zeppelin." I opened the door. "Chris, your statues are right here!"

Chris came running in, and I think he was pretty impressed.

I won immunity, but I only found out later about what Cameron had done. He'd actually planted an explosive in the smoke machine and brought Jo down that way. That night, it was time to vote her off. Sure, Scott was worse, but Jo was stronger. Scott could go next.

I decided to keep my marshmallow in case I got really hungry later on in the competition (Chef's food was edible so far, but I knew it could get worse), enjoying the idea of having immunity. And as it turned out, there were three votes against Jo.

"I deserve to win this!" Jo shrieked. She pointed at Cameron. "You traitor! You backstabber!"

Chef pulled her away.

"I learned from the best." Cameron said brightly.

Jo smiled a bit. "You know, you're right! Good technique, kid. But you!" She glared at Lighting. "You're an idiot! You couldn't even tell I was a girl!"

"You're a WHAT?"

I burst out laughing. How many times had Jo told him that now? Seventy-three?

It was nice to have an almost-empty cabin again. I liked sharing with just Zoey, and although we were planning to start strategizing with Cameron tomorrow, for the night, we just talked for awhile, before getting as much sleep as possible.

Sorry, Cam, but I wanted Shannon to win a challenge, and Lightning's so stupid, he wouldn't realize that she was just using him for her own ends. Yeah, it wasn't nice of her, but he doesn't realize that yet. He probably will sometime, but for now, she's safe. Please review!
