READ ME PLZ PLZ PLZ! Okay, so to clear things up, stage one and two, from the book have been combined. Therefore, that is one stage. I am adding another stage, this one will stage two. I am adding this stage because I am clumsy and accidentally went from stage one to two in the book, not in my story. If this confused the mess out of you, sorry. PM me about later. :)
That night, Tris and I lay in the same bed.
"Ready for the next stage of Initiation?" She whispers in my ear, when everybody is asleep.
I nod my head in the darkness.
Then I remember that she can't see me in the dark, so I reply with a simple, "Yeah."
But nothing could prepare any of us for what tomorrow would bring.
"Up!" Jacob yells.
The lights come on and we rise.
I hear somebody groan.
Tris stretches out on my bed. She gives me a grin. I return one, out of nervousness.
We both knew that something was coming.
"Get dressed, be in the Pit by 5 minutes for breakfast." Jacob announces, before closing the door and leaving us alone.
I pull of my shirt and as soon as I do, I hear gasps from around the room.
For a second, I am flattered. I was hotter shirtless, after all.
"Nice tattoo." I hear Christina say, smirking.
I raise an eyebrow, and then I remember. It wasn't my gorgeous body that made them gasp, but the tattoo of Tris's name on my back.
I grin. "You should see the one Tris has." I say, going into my dresser and pulling on a new shirt.
At the corner of my eye, I see Tris lift her shirt up, and point to waist.
Christina's eyes go wide.
I continue getting dressed. When I am done, I wait for Tris to finish, and as soon as she does, we head for the pit, hand in hand.
As we go down the steps, I think about last night.
The first thing that comes to mind way Tris and I had kissed. I felt my lip, It stung, but not as much as it did last night.
Another thought came to mind.
Four.
He seemed upset. But why?
I wasn't sure what he was upset about, but I would surely not confront him about it.
When we reached the Pit, I grabbed a plate, and made sure to get one banana nut muffin. Tris laughs at this and takes a bit out of it before I can fill up my plate. She grabs hers and fills and corner with a slice of bread; not toasted, a small chunk of cheese, and an apple.
Wow.
I shook my head at her. She looked at me, a confused expression on her face.
"What?" She asked, clueless.
I instantly grabbed her plate. I put the apple back, and replaced it with bacon. I put the cheese back, and replaced it with eggs. I put her slice of bread back, and replaced it with a waffle.
As I did so, she giggled.
"There." I said, handing her the plate back.
Her lip twitched, holding back her smile. I pecked her on the cheek and filled up my plate.
When we were done I grabbed two cups and filled both of them up with orange juice.
I handed one to Tris and we walked toward the tales.
"Love birds, over here!" I hear Uriah yell.
My attention turns to him, and I see him, signaling us over.
He gives us a grin as we walk over to him.
When we get there, I sat down at the table next to Tris and across from Marlene.
"Hey Peter, Tris." Marlene says, scooping up her oily hash browns and dumping it into her mouth.
I smile at her. "Hey Marlene."
"Hi Marlene." Tris says, picking a nut out of my muffin. I pecked her on the mouth.
"Uggh." A girl with a bald head says. "Couples."
I look at her and raise an eyebrow. "Lynn's the name." She says, holding out her hand. I take it with a firm grip.
She squeezes harder. I immediately pull away."Oww."
She smirks. "Nice to meet you, 'Oww'."
I roll my eyes. "It's Peter."
"Nice to meet you, Peter." She says. "Ready for today?"
I nod. Teamwork shouldn't be to hard. I was ready.
"The transfers and Dauntless-born's won't be in the same activity together."
I looked at her with a questioning expression. "How did you know that?"
Lynn shrugged. "The Dauntless-born get more information than the transfers I guess."
I snarled. "Whatever."
Tris put her hand on mine and stroked it. I let her.
As minutes passed, we ate in silence, nobody was feeling chatty, I guess.
When Tris looked away, I stole a piece of her bacon. When I looked away, I was sure that a chunk of my muffin was missing. I kissed her on the forehead and we continued eating quietly.
Every Dauntless transfer enters a room that I haven't seen before, it wasn't even in the tour.
It had multiple chairs, identical to each other.
"Take a seat, and I will explain everything." Announces Four, pointing to the chairs. I grab Tris's hand and run to the chairs, making sure she sits next to me.
I hear Will snicker at our childishness, even though he does the same.
I could have sworn I saw Four roll his eyes before continuing.
"This is another simulation." He says. "You have to learn to help others out, even if it means facing your fear to protect somebody else."
I nod in understanding.
"One catch, all of you get out at the same time."
I knew what he meant.
We would all be stuck until each of our heart rates slowed down.
My palms got sweaty, we would be in there for a while.
He injects each of us with the serum. "Be brave." He says it as if it's announced to us, but he looks at Tris as he says so.
The last thing I see is her face.
