I drop to my knees and cover my mouth to mute my sobs.

I had to calm down. I had to move on with a steady heartbeat. I gently stroked her hair with my free hand.

It felt so real.

Christina grabbed my arm and pulled me to the next hallway. "Come on, Peter! We gotta find more people." She says, tugging on my arm.

As she tugs, I am reminded of Alzas, and I gag as her freckled face comes into mind.

I get up and run through the next hallway with Christina and Drew, but not before pecking dead simulation Tris on the forehead.

As we enter the next room, I see Al.

He was stepping on a swarm of spiders. Christina, Drew and I help him.

Suddenly, Alzas appears, her oily hair covered in blood.

She twitches until she falls into the swarm of dead spider bodies.

I could feel my eyes go wide as I leaned of her. "Peter." She hoarsely whispers.

I nod, urging her on. I feel her small hand rise to my cheek as she smiles. "You're not a traitor." She said.

My tear falls onto her chest as her hand falls. I nod and stand up.

I turn to Christina, who looks around the room, wearing a confused expression. I looked around with her.

There was no other hallway.

Even the one we came from, was blocked off.

"What the-" Christina starts.

But suddenly, we fall into water.

And before I know it, I'm standing; more like swimming, next to Tris,

"Peter!" She yells, grabbing my face. "Are you real?" I nod furiously.

I wasn't apart of the simulation.

She turns away from me and looks around. "What about the others?" I nod and try to stay afloat.

Tris gasps heavily. "You escape this fear by drowning."

I nod, my heart rate picks up, and I can't think straight.

I do not want to die.

Tris grabs my hand and pulls me underwater.

"It's not real." She says. "Just calm your heart rate, and drown. You'll be out before you know it."

I told everybody else to do the same, and before I know it we were all inside of a restaurant.

I instantly remember this.

I was my simulation.

I ran to the table I saw Four and Tris at and looked at them kiss.

It pained me, but I wouldn't punch him. I had learned that it was the wrong way to get out.

I looked behind the counter at the clock. It was 12:00. Noon.

I look back at the table. Tris and Four were no longer kissing.

I sighed. I knew what I had to do. My fear was hurting the one I loved. Not physically, but emotionally. I couldn't let my feelings get the best of me. I had to accept that she found somebody else if we were ever in this situation.

I looked for in the eye, holding back the urge to punch him and spoke.

"Have a nice afternoon, you two." My mouth tasted bitter as I said these words, and I instantly walked away.

I looked around until I saw Tris.

I front of her were Caleb, the woman who visited Tris on visiting day, a man, and a woman with blond hair.

The woman with blond hair had a gun pointed to Tris's head.

"I'll give you 10 seconds." The woman said. She sounded like Jeanine.

"!0."

I didn't think. I lunged toward the blond woman, stealing her gun, and shooting her.

I then look at Tris. "How does it end?" I ask her.

She shakes her head. "I'm supposed to shoot them, but I always sacrifice my self for them."

I nod in understanding. "I'm sorry."

"It's fine." She said, grabbing a gun from a table. "I needed to face it anyway." She pointed the gun to the three people, and without looking, pulled the trigger.

She sighs.

I take her hand to help with other's fears, when suddenly, a large dog comes bursting through the restaurant, it's teeth bared and growling. It looked just like the one from the aptitude test.

I didn't know whose fear it was, but I shot it multiple times before it was down.

Christina looked at me. "Thanks" She mouthed. The dog was her fear.

I nodded and looked around for Al and Drew.

Suddenly, I saw Will and Molly outside of the restaurant. He was helping her beat the mice at their feet with a broom. I immediately exited.

"Molly! Will!" I called.

They turn to me. "Peter!"

I don't have a broom, so I start stepping on the mice with my feet. It's disgusting. I hear squeals and shrieks; out wait, that's Molly. I take a second to throw up in a nearby alley and come back to help.

We wait for everybody's heart rates to go down. "How did you find each other?" I ask Will, who is gasping for air. He brings his hands through his hair and sighs.

"I started off in a black room, and I went down the hall. When I found Molly we went down multiple halls until we suddenly got here." He said.

He still breaths heavily. I wait for him to calm down.

When he does, we are suddenly in the Pit. We are right above the chasm, which sprays us with cool water. Christina jumped into it, knowing what to do. Tris jumped in next, ready. I inhaled, and didn't think as I jumped into the ground river.

We were inside of a high grass field, the sun shining down at us.

We were also completely surrounded by fire. It was mine.

Tris took off her shoe and beat out the fire. The others did the same.

Suddenly, a large Eagle swooped down and wrapped it's Talons around Molly's shirt. It lifted her up.

"Help!" She called, trying to get the claws off of her shoulders.

I yanked on her feet before she could fly any higher.

An eagle? Really, Molly?

I pull her to the ground, the eagle talons ripping off the shoulders of her shirts, exposing her chest.

I bring what clothing she has up to chest, so that it is no longer revealed.

"Thanks." She mutters, blushing.

I nod. "Mhhm."

The next few simulations are pure hell.

At one point I was sure that I threw up onto Tris.

I apologized in the very next simulation, just in case I did.

Soon, my fears have run out, but we are still in the simulation. It then occurred to me that we would have to got through everybody's fears, and I groaned. This would be torture.

Suddenly, we were in a glass box.

I hear Tris gasp.

"This is usually the first one." She muttered.

I was filling up with water. Very soon, very quickly.

"What?" Tris whispers to herself. "This doesn't make sense."

I look at her. "What's wrong?"

"All of you have went through all of your fears? Correct?" Tris asked, looking around.

I heard some 'Yes's and 'Yeah's, bouncing on the walls of the box.

I sighed. This was the last fear.

Tris looked worried. "But...why is this one last?" She asked.

The water was at our knees. Tris immediately snapped back to reality.

I bang against the box, hoping to break it. Instead, my hand bounced back instantly.

There was no telling where the water came from, no hole that I could plug up. I groaned. There had to be a way out.

Drew threw a kick at the wall. He clutched his foot immediately.

"Calm down." Says Tris in a stern voice.

But as the water reaches my waist, my heart rate only speeds up.

Molly scoffs at her and points to the rising water. "Calm down?" She splashed water everywhere. "Look at what we're in!"

Tris bared her teeth. "We could be out before you know it, if you just relax."

The water is suddenly at my stomach.

Molly kicks the floor, hoping to stop the water. "I'm sorry if I can't act like I'm in paradise while I'm trapped in a half-filled glass box!" Molly yells, punching the glass.

Christina jumps in. "Tris is right! We could be done and out right now if we just use our minds as a team! We have to stop arguing and work together before the box fills up!"

Molly glares at Christina. "Don't yell at-"

I stop breathing.

The glass box is full.

I hold my breath, my eyes open underwater.

I see everybody, they see me.

They were also holding their breath.

My eyes started aching, but I kept them open.

I looked at Tris, she seemed calmer then any of us.

I tried to mock her calmness, and opened my mouth, letting water in.

I instantly regret it.

As soon as I do, water comes rushing into my lungs, and I cough violently.

Tris's eyes go wide as she sees me drowning.

She says something, but I don't hear it over the loud water rushing into my ears.

My throat aches and my lungs burn as the air rushes out of them.

This was no longer a simulation.

It was real.

It was real and I couldn't calm down.

I try to bust open the top of the box, but my muscles are weakened.

I slump on the wall, and let the water take me.

Tris has other ideas.

She quickly turns to a wall and places her hand on it.

I watch as the glass shatters under her fingers.
