Hhhhmp phhhh…Yukine was having trouble sleeping again. "It's so dark in here..why though?" Yukine muttered to himself while starting to panic. "No No No! The power went out at Kofuku's shrine!" Yukine started to shake as it started to become harder and harder to breathe. "I can't breathe. I can't breathe…! Someone help me!" Yukine was screaming in his mind as his vision was getting worse due to the lack of breath he was getting. Yukine felt like he was about to pass out, so he started to reach for the wall trying to stabilize himself, but that didn't work as Yukine fell towards the wall. Yato felt a huge amount of pain just then that caused him to wake up. "YUKINE!" Yato bolted up out of his futon and rushed over to Yukine and clutching onto him so he wouldn't fall. "Yukine can you hear me?" As a response, Yukine tightened his grip on Yato's jacket sleeve. "Yuki, I need you to take a big breath and exhale back out." As doing what Yato said, Yukine inhaled a big amount of air and then exhaled back out causing him to regain control of his breathing. It also helped with his shaking. Yato pulled Yukine into a hug. Yato wanted Yukine to be safe and feel protected. "I'm sorry for not waking up sooner Yukine." Yato said to Yukine as he put one of his hands on Yukine's head and pulling him closer to himself trying to comfort him. Yukine felt like crying. He was so scared but yet happy. He was happy that Yato was here, protecting him from the darkness and his panic attack. "Shh Yukine, I know it's hard having to deal with these kinds of things." Yato said because he could feel the sadness coming from Yukine. "Gomen, Yato." "I know this blights you. I know it does." Yukine said, blaming everything on himself and tears sliding down Yukine's face. Yato thought of Yukine as a small kitten trying to get away from a storm or maybe a big dog coming after him. "It's okay Yukine. Everything will be okay. As long as you are safe. That's the only thing that matters to me." Yato said, once again trying to calm down Yukine in his terrified state. "Arigato, Yato" Yukine said hugging Yato even tighter. They didn't even notice the power came back on…
