Sight

Kurt wakes up to soft light spilling through the window; it's already past noon, he knows. But it's alright. They haven't made any plans for today.

He rolls over to find a truly breathtaking sight- Blaine is still fast asleep, his breath coming in even huffs and his chest moving drowsily, caressed by the gentle rays of sun bathing the room in their warm colors. Blaine's hair is spread like an angel's halo around his head, making Kurt smile at the thought.

Slowly, Blaine opens his eyes. They shine, crystal-like, golden and captivating. He closes them quickly, bothered by the light; then he reaches towards Kurt in a familiar gesture. Kurt kisses his palm before pulling him close, so that he can lie with his head on Kurt's shoulder and his arms half-hugging him.

"Morning," Kurt says, stroking a finger down a scar on Blaine's back. That particular one, light pink and long, is from that god-forsaken Sadie Hawkins. There's a darker spot beside it, but that one is a birthmark; it's Kurt's favorite, and he smiles at it like a long-time friend. There's a still-healing mark just above the curve of Blaine's ass, and it's redder than the others. That one just might end up being their first sex-accident scar.

"Sleep well?" he asks.

"Sleep more," Blaine replies with his eyes closed.

Kurt keeps his eyes open and watches with a little grin.
