One Last Kiss
"I shouldn't be here, Blaine."
Blaine squeezes Kurt's biceps with his cold, wet fingers. "I know. I shouldn't be here either. They're waiting for me. Just one last kiss? Don't leave me yet," he pleads.
Kurt's breath is warm on Blaine's freezing skin. The kiss is salty like the water around him, hot like an open flame.
Kurt sighs and pulls away. "I have to leave. The king's men will find me soon, and you can't be found with me."
Blaine bows his head, but doesn't let go of Kurt's arms where he's gripping them tight to stay above water. "Just one last kiss?" He looks up hopefully.
Kurt gives him a little smile. "I love you," he says and leans in to brush his lips against his. "Be safe," Kurt adds, and Blaine slowly sinks down, keeping just his head above water to watch Kurt leave before he gives in to the water's call and start swimming with strong, quick movements of his tail, heading home.
