Chapter 11 – A time and place

As Caroline ran her tongue along his arm, his heart stopped for a moment before galloping quickly, faster than he thought possible.

He closed his eyes, feeling his body reacting to her touch before opening them and taking in the sight of her golden halo of hair spreading out before him. Falling back against the car he felt her teeth sinking into his skin and sucked in a mouthful of air with a hiss. She stopped and pulled out slightly, looking up at him, blood staining her elongated teeth, her eyes bright and her skin undulating life.

As their eyes met, he felt an unasked question in hers and nodded. She smirked slightly before dipping her head to his arm again and this time when her fangs eased into his skin, the sting was gone before he could blink and the sensations that began to quickly build up inside had him gripping the car beneath him. Caroline seemed to be trying to get even closer to him than she already was, pulling him closer with her arm while her mouth still worked at his blood. Klaus felt like his heart might explode, his breathing coming so fast that he thought he might hyperventilate.

And then Caroline let go and stood up to look him in the eye, her tongue licking the remnants of blood from her teeth and lips, her cheeks flushed and eyes bright. They were both panting slightly and he let out a long breath. "Bloody hell woman! That was more than you described, did you have to stop?!"

"Well, I could've kept going but really, is here the time and the place?"

"Isn't everywhere always going to be the right time and place for that? What did you call it, Blood Sharing?"

She blushed slightly. "Well, yes it was and we could have gone on but I... I was a little embarassed" she finished quietly.

"Embarassed love? What could be more natural than two people..." and then his voice faded away. What was he thinking? Did he just say what could be more natural? A vampire and a werewolf, sharing blood and it being one of the most intimate things he'd ever experienced? He shook his head, then grinned and then before he could help it,exploded into a huge laugh, all his pent up feelings and emotions rushing forth.

"What are you laughing about?!" she demanded, a frown causing her eyebrows to dip in the middle.

"It's just all a little crazy isn't it? I mean you're a vampire, I'm a werewolf. I can hear the blood sloshing in my veins, I can smell it on your teeth and we just made out in some weird kind of kinky supernatural way. Today is not like it was yesterday and I'm not sure tomorrow is going to be any clearer" and he cracked up laughing again, looking at where the scratch on his arm had almost faded to nothing and then back to Caroline.

Her eyes grew big and worried as if she thought he might have lost the plot. "Ummmm, Klaus, are you going to be ok?"

"The weirdest part of all this, I actually think I am. I'm alive in this bizarre way, like I just woke up for the first time. Caroline, you are amazing and you just did some crazy as things to my body which I am absolutely not complaining about and I wouldn't object to doing again."

She smiled shyly at him before he reached out and took her hand, pulling her against himself. Dipping his lips to hers, he locked them together and gently kissed a fire between them. When she eventually pulled away, her mouth was turned up in a smile. "Now, let's go get some pizza. This whole supernatural business has me starving love" and opening the door for her, he tucked her into the car before heading to the other side.

As she started up the engine, he couldn't help himself. "So sweetheart, can I expect you to jump on me and suck my blood everytime I get injured? Because I'll throw myself out the car now if it will earn me a repeat preformance of before" and he cracked up laughing again as she walloped him hard on his leg, the affection in her face as real as what he was feeling.

"She is so worth all of this" he thought as they sped away.
