Chapter 30

The Lost Star

~ Spirit World ~

Laxus sighed as he came out from under the small waterfall, he had lost track of how long he's been in the pool. The only things that told him how long he had been in there were the messages from Lucy and the frequent visits from the Brat.

Faintly, he heard the sound of rocks from above and sighed. "I can hear you..." He called out, and got a short giggle in response. I can feel my magic returning, but there is no way to test it... Hmmm... This will surprise her... Concentrating on his magic, he sent a small bolt of lightning up the side of the cliff, and was rewarded with a surprised yelp.

"No fair!" The young spirit yelled as she jumped off the cliff, landing beside the pool, her hair frizzed out from the static.

"You're the one spying on me." Laxus said, glaring at the girl.

"Only because I'm bored!" She fumed, sitting down on a rock, her bare feet dangling in the water.

"If you're so bored why don't you just go to the human world and leave me alone?"

"No..." She splashed him.

"Why not?" He asked in an irritated growl.

"I just can't." She told him in a matter of fact tone. "I've never been to the human world, I've only heard about it. You're the first human I've ever seen in person, the first I've ever talked to." She grinned at him. "If all humans are as grumpy as you, I just might not go to the human world."

Laxus laughed, for the first time in what felt like days, and smiled at the young girl. "For an annoying brat, you're okay, I don't mind if you keep me company."

"Really?" She smiled brightly.

"Really." Laxus grinned and splashed her. "That means you can stop spying on me."

"I'm not spy-" She stopped, a surprised look on her face. "Leo!" She cried out, and he materialized before them, panicked.

"Lea! What's wrong?"

"My key... its moving... I can feel it." She said in a whisper so low, Laxus could barely hear it.

~~ TS ~~ two weeks ~~ beach south of Magnolia ~~ June ~~

Lucy smiled as she felt the warmth of the sun kissing her skin. It feel so nice getting away from the Guild and just relaxing, the pressure of the Grand Magic Games next month is getting to everyone, stressing them out. She opened her eyes as she sat up in her beach chair, glancing around. Some people had agreed to come with Lucy, Cana, and Juvia to the beach, but they still continued their training.

Erza was in her Black Wing Armor, training with Mira in her Halphas Soul, luckily they were a good way out, over the open ocean. Lucy could faintly see the aftershocks from each of their attacks. Natsu, Gajeel, and Nami were all training together, Nami wasn't fighting in this years Games though, she was there to provide and extra challenge for their training, they never knew where her daggers would come from. Jellal, the last member of Team Fairy Tail, was above the water, closer than Erza and Mira, but far enough away not to endanger any of the women and children on the beach, and he was dodging ice spikes sent his way by Gray.

That left Levy, Wendy, and Lisanna to keep the pregnant women and children company. Lucy smiled as she watched the children play in the ocean, Loke easily splashing Isabell and Alex, his latest targets for his water magic. Lucy turned to Cana and grinned.

"Its nice to get away, isn't it?"

"Yes, its too bad that Bacchus is away training for Quatro Ceberus. The kids would love him here."

Levy smiled from a chair next to Lucy, and glanced at the three pregnant women. "I just hope no babies decide to appear today."

"Well, I'm due next week, so don't go saying things like that, you might jinx it." Cana said while patting her enormous stomach, smiling at everyone.

"Juvia still has a month to go, so Juvia should be fine." Juvia smiled as she stood. "Does anyone want to join Juvia in the water?"

"That sounds like a good idea." Lucy said as she stood. "Come on everyone, let's have some fun before Natsu and the children get hungry." The other women stood and followed Lucy and Juvia into the water, Lucy smiling as her feet felt the waves washing up on the shore.

She looked out over the ocean and sighed. Laxus, I wish you were here right now. She felt a strong kick and her hands went to her abdomen. I wish you could feel them growing. Come home soon.

As she waded further into the water she heard a gasp come from Juvia next to her, and she turned to see a panicked look on her face. "Juvia? Is everything alright?" Lucy asked cautiously.

"Juvia is not alright, Juvia can sense something is wrong." Her hands went to her growing stomach and she cried out, and Lucy rushed closer to her, calling out for Gray.

"Juvia! Juvia calm down." Lucy tried to calm her as she grabbed her hands. "What's wrong?"

"Water..." Juvia mumbled.

"What about the water?"

"Juvia's water broke..." Lucy's eyes went wide at her words, and, finally, Gray made it over to them.

"Crap! Wendy!" Lucy called out as Gray wrapped his arms around his wife. "We need you over here!"

"Children need to get out of the water." Juvia whispered, her eyes wide.

"Why?" Lucy asked as Wendy made her way over, and Juvia pointed a shaky arm out over the ocean, and in the distance Lucy could see something moving towards the beach at a fast pace. Within seconds it had passed under Erza and Mira, who were too focused on their training to notice, and as it came closer it emerged from the water. It was huge and eel-like, a long serpentine body with rows of spikes along it's back, and rows of razor sharp teeth in it's enormous mouth.

"Kids! Get out of the water right now!" Lucy yelled as the sea serpent roared, causing the children to scream and run to the beach. As the children made it to the safety of the beach Lucy looked up just in time to see Jellal crash into the serpent from the side, sending it towards Nami, Gajeel, and Natsu, and watched as it was engulfed in flames, courtesy of Natsu.

Lucy watched with everyone on the beach as the serpent fell to the beach, dead and slightly charred, and watched as Natsu landed on top of it with a wide grin on his face. "Hey Lisanna! Think we can eat it for lunch?" He asked as everyone groaned, leave it to Natsu to think about food.

"You flame brained idiot! Can't you see there are more important things besides what's for lunch!?" Gray yelled at him, clearly annoyed as he gestured at Juvia, who was being checked out by a worried looking Wendy, who looked up an gave her a small nod.

"Juvia, we need to get you back to Fairy Tail, the baby is coming, and its early so I need all my equipment, which is back at the Guild." Wendy explained in a worried voice, looking up at Gray and Juvia.

"How are we supposed to get her back in time? Even if we were to catch a train in time it would take too long to get back to Magnolia, and the SE-Plug cars aren't much faster." Lucy could hear the panic in Gray's voice and an idea came to mind.

"Gray, Juvia, Wendy, I think I have a way for you to get back to Fairy Tail quickly, but you have to promise not to worry."

"Lucy? What are you planning?" Gray asked cautiously and Lucy walked over to her bag and pulled out her keys.

"Pegasus should be big enough to carry all of you."

"But what about your magic?" Wendy asked in a small voice.

"I haven't used my spirits in a wile, so my magic has been storing up, I will be fine." Gray looked over at Juvia, who nodded and looked at Lucy.

"Juvia will accept your offer, Lucy, but Juvia want's you to look after Loke." Juvia gave Lucy a weak smile, and she gave her one back and summoned Pegasus.

"Of course I'll watch Loke. Now hurry up and go, I can only hold him out for so long." With a curt nod to Lucy, he helped Juvia onto Pegasus and climbed on behind her, Wendy sitting behind him. "Fly fast, Pegasus, get them there safely." She moved back as Pegasus spread his long wings, carrying them swiftly away and soon they were out of sight.

"Does this mean I get their share of the meat?" Natsu asked as he came back with a huge log. He must really want to eat that serpent if he left while we were talking.

"Of course, Natsu. Eat all you want." Lucy said with a sigh as she walked back over and sat back down on her chair.

~~ TS 30 minutes ~~

Lucy watched with a small smile as the children played around the head of the dead sea serpent. Natsu had Erza cut some of the meat up so he could cook it, everyone was waiting for it to get done, but the smell was making Lucy nauseous. I'm not eating that... With a sigh of relief she felt Pegasus return to the spirit world.

"Hey! Everyone! They just made it back to the Guild!" Her announcement was followed by a few cheers and she sat back with a smile. She must have dozed off because she was woken up by Loke tugging on her arm.

"Hey Loke, what do you need?" She asked while sitting up, mussing up his raven hair as he sat on the chair next to her.

"You collect keys, right?" He asked, looking up at her.

"Yes, why?"

"Well, I found this in that snake thingie's mouth, Isabell and Rose wanted it, but I told them finders keepers." He grinned up at her. "Since you're collecting them I thought you would trade me for it." He held up a silver key for her to see, and her eyes were drawn to the jewel set into it.

"Hmmmm... What do you want for it?" She asked and his grin got wider.

"Ice cream! For a month!"

"Deal!" Loke handed Lucy the key and she felt warmth spread through her body. She quickly stood, losing control of her body, and held the key in front of her. She could feel her magic gathering around her, and everyone watched, speechless, as she began to summon the spirit.

"I am linked to the path to the

World of Celestial Spirits, now!

O Spirit, answer my call and pass through the Gate!

Open! Gate of the Little Lion, Leo Minor!"

The flash of light that followed wasn't the normal white, this one was brighter than normal, bright gold and momentarily blinded everyone. As the spirit appeared from the light, Lucy could feel her strength slipping away, felt herself falling backwards, only to be caught from behind, and heard a growl come from the person who caught her.

"Thanks, Gajeel. Could you put me on my chair?"

"Why the hell did you do that!" Gajeel growled as he set her down. "If you hurt yourself Wendy won't be the only one after our heads, Laxus will be after us as well."

"I didn't do it on purpose, it just happened." Lucy looked over at the spirit she had summoned, Leo Minor, and recognized her. She was the girl in the message Laxus had sent. She had the same blue dress, same mane of orange hair, same big hazel eyes. Eyes that didn't leave Lucy, even when Gajeel growled at her.

"Gajeel, its alright." She put a hand on his arm to calm him, and smiled at the girl. "Hello, you must be Lea, Leo's younger sister. My name is Lucy. Would you like to make a contract with me?"

Lea gave her a low bow. "It would be an honor to make a contract with you, Princess. I'm available when you need, and my magic is similar to Leo's, just not as strong. I am so very sorry about my entrance though. You are the first ever Celestial Mage with the power to summon me. The one who created my key hadn't regained his strength to make a contract when Drac-"

Lucy watched as Lea's eyes went wide as she regained her memories of Draco, everything she had done, and watched as the girl fell to her knees. "DRACO!" Lea screamed, making everyone on the beach flinch. "When I find you I will tear you limb from limb! I will rip out your soul an-" Lea was cut off by the arrival of Leo, who wrapped her in his arms to calm her, and nodded at Lucy.

"Princess, I'm glad that you found her key, but now she some time with her thoughts. I hope you understand." Lucy nodded at him and they disappeared, leaving her slightly weak but happy. She now had all sixteen jeweled keys, all twelve zodiac keys, and all the spirits were together now as a family. She sighed and leaned back in her chair.

"Hey everyone! I'm going to take a nap, wake me when its time to leave!" They nodded at her and she settled into her chair, and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Lucy woke up to Gajeel nudging her arm, and felt two warm bodies snuggled in close to her. She lifted her head to see the younger Nami curled into one side, Loke curled into her other side, both of them had their hands curled into her hair.

"Just grab Nami, I can get Loke." She whispered, not wanting to wake them.

"Are you sure?" He raised an eyebrow at her and she nodded.

"He's pretty light, I can carry him just fine." He grabbed Nami off of her with one arm and helped her stand with the other. She gave him a smile and walked over to join the other by the SE-Plug cars, they had rented some for the day because Lucy didn't want to travel by train anymore unless she had to. She smiled at Jellal as he opened the door for her and helped her in, her arms full with Loke, and sat next to Erza, who was holding a sleeping Simon, and Rose. Jellal closed the door and sat up front in the driver's seat, and started the trip back to Fairy Tail in silence, everyone in the car anxious to hear about Juvia, about the baby.

When Lucy stepped out of the car with Loke the first person she saw was Bickslow, who was leaning against the doors, obviously keeping an eye out for them.

"How is Juvia?" Lucy asked, adjusting Loke a bit on her hip, and flinched when she heard a loud scream from upstairs.

"In labor, almost done by the sounds of it." Sure enough he was right. Lucy had taken a few more steps into the Guild when there was another scream, followed by a faint cry, and then silence.

Gray then rushed out of the infirmary, an elated smile on his face. "It's a girl!" He called out to the sound of cheers, and Lucy climbed the stairs with Loke. When she reached the top Gray came over and took him from her. "Thanks Lucy, for helping us today."

"We're Fairy Tail, its what we do." She smiled as Loke opened his eyes and saw his father.

"Hey little guy. You have a baby sister now, her name is Ur. Do you want to go meet her?" Loke nodded and Gray went back into the infirmary, to his family.

Lucy's hands went to her abdomen and she smiled. Laxus, I can't wait for you to meet them.
