Some cute end-of-honeymoon fic! Hope y'all like it :)
Honeymoon
Twelve hours delay. Twelve!
"Ending our honeymoon with a bang," said Blaine.
"I wish we were ending it with a bang," said Kurt.
And of course, no interesting place in town is open at the moment, so they have nowhere to go even if they had the energy.
Kurt is settled on the floor, by a plug that's functioning as a spring of life as he's scrolling down his Twitter feed on his phone. Blaine is nodding off in one of the chairs by their gate, his legs resting on their suitcase. They're in a little bubble of quite, when all around them the bustling airport is full or people walking quickly and making noise.
Kurt's phone freezes. He groans.
"Blaine," he says. "Hey," he pushes the suitcase with his leg to move Blaine's legs. "Wake up. B."
"Mmmph."
"Blaaaine," he says, shoving the suitcase.
"Sleeping."
"Blainey."
Blaine only opens his eyes halfway. "Wha'."
Kurt just smiles at him.
"Whaaaaa'."
"Nothin'," Kurt says, and Blaine groans and throws his head back. "I just wanted to tell you I love you. And that I had a wonderful time. We should do this again sometime."
Blaine smiles without looking at him. "Go on a honeymoon?"
"Mmhmm."
"Maybe for our ten year anniversary," he says.
"I don't know if I can wait that long," Kurt sighs.
Blaine doesn't reply; Kurt's thinking he's fallen back asleep. He jerks awake when his legs slide off the suitcase and hit the floor.
"We can-" Blaine stops to yawn, "can extend this one, though."
"Mm?"
"Just… take another…" his eyes close as he speaks. "Day off."
Kurt considers that. Just them, in their new-house-not-quite-yet-a-home, and yeah. Yeah, they don't need a tropical island and a fancy hotel to have a honeymoon. And if they can stay in their little bubble of quiet for one more day…
"I'd love that," Kurt says.
Blaine's already sleeping again.
